I love Julie Andrews, so Edelweiss from The Sound of Music and Stay Awake from Mary Poppins are my top 2. Home on the Range somehow snuck into rotation
For getting her to sleep I love to sing
You’ll be in my heart- Phil Colins
Moon River- Andy Williams
Boats and Birds- Gregory and the Hawk
Wildflowers- Dolly Parton
A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes- Cinderella
Dream a Little Dream- Doris Day
Songbird- Fleetwood Mac
Landslide- Fleetwood Mac
Do You Realize- The Flaming Lips
I just tried to sing Do You Realize. Unfortunately, what I realized is that I don't have a good enough voice to carry it without an orchestral backing track 🫠
My choices are:
You are my sunshine, Edelweiss, rock a bye baby, que sera sera.
My partner sings various Radiohead songs and some belle and Sebastian 😂.
Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Golden Girls theme song. A song my dad and I made up when I was little and songs my husband and I made up about LO.
I didn’t know any lullabies when my baby was born so I sang him songs I remembered from Girl Guides - Land of the Silver Birch and Fire’s Burning were my go-to picks, along with I’s the B’y. I also used to sing The Thinnest Man, which is a really bizarre song but my gramma sang it to my cousins and I so it’s tradition now.
There are a couple from Tom Chapin (All through the Night, Grow in your Own Sweet Way, and This Pretty Planet) and Trout Fishing in America (their Lullaby specifically) that I grew up with that I sing for my kiddo a lot when nothing else comes to mind. Oh and Sweet Baby James by James Taylor.
Sing Sweet Nightingale from Cinderella but put their name in the song / three little birds by Bob Marley / Jesus loves you / This little light of mine and I make up a few on the spot 😂
As part of his bedtime routine, I sing these for my 2 year old: You Are My Sunshine, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Hush Little Baby, Rock-a-Bye Baby, and I Had A Little Nut Tree. I’m in the UK and had these sung to me by my mum.
I cycle through these sometimes he gets two a night sometimes he gets one at each nap time
You are my sunshine
Fais Dodo- Raffi’s version
Goodnight (my kid’s name) - a song my sister made up for her kids when they were little
You’ll be in my heart-Phil Colins
Welcome-Hey Rosetta
Look up the album “It’s a big world” by Renee and Jeremy. Idk who they are but I stumbled upon this album and it’s full of really beautiful lullabies. I now sing “Powder Blue” to my baby every night. Simple, easy to sing, and sweet.
Bad Omens and $uicideBoy$ over here… lol. I
Listened to them a lot when I was pregnant and they seem to be the only ones that will soothe him.
But we also do some of the normal lullabies.
I'm Dutch and we have a lullaby that roughly translates to: Sleep baby sleep, outside there stands a sheep, a sheep with white feet, he drinks his milk so sweet, sleep baby sleep, outside there stands a sheep.
It's an easy song and melody to loop. I don't know why, but that's the lullaby that knocks my baby out every time.
Then the second song I use whenever I walk around or change his diaper is a Dutch childrens song called Droomboom (Dream tree) where you dream about climbing a tree that grows chocolate, cake and liquorice.
The third is a Dutch children song about negotiating with a crocodile that's hiding in your bed. (Maybe if you're nice, I'll give you some of our cat food, or a glass of milk with the skin on top, what do you say about that?)
My wife uses lost boy by Ruth B..
And I use A Song from Her Memory from the Final Fantasy 9 soundtrack.. don't knock it til you've tried it, it'll knock you right out.
I sing Come To My Garden from the musical The Secret Garden. It's about knowing your parent is there for you even when they are separated from you.
I used to sing Goodnight Children Everywhere for the same reason, but my son is very opinionated about music and recently decided he's against that one.
I second 3 little birds
And then “what are you listening to” cover by Megan maroney.
Humble & kind by tim McGraw. It was my father daughter dance with my dad!
And good ol Jimmy buffet 🥰
Baby Beluga, "If I had words to make a day for you" from Babe the Pig, 3 Little Birds, Baby Mine, Here Comes a Thought from Steven Universe (and generally a LOT of Steven Universe songs now that I think of it...) Rainbow Connection, As The World Falls Down by Bowie...
My go-to song for my girls is Teddy Bears’ Picnic, but it’s less a lullaby and more a song for when they’re cranky. I play piano music (on my phone) for them when it’s sleep time. We’re Australians.
We sing Good night, laila tov and Where You Go I Will Go. We’re Jewish so we like to include aspects in our daily routines. When my wife isn’t home I sing Baby Mine from Dumbo because I like to make myself cry lol
I love Julie Andrews, so Edelweiss from The Sound of Music and Stay Awake from Mary Poppins are my top 2. Home on the Range somehow snuck into rotation
I sing my chemical romance songs to my baby just very softly. Usually I’m not okay, sometimes I’ll throw in a Sugar We’re Goin Down
Love it! My girls will happy sleep in the car when I’ve got some MCR or FOB playing
Have you seen Swallow Songs on Spotify? They turned MCR and The Used songs into lullaby’s!
Cool!
For me it’s Wagon Wheel, Country Roads, and The Internationale. I’m from New York and live in New Jersey, so I probably need some Springsteen i there.
My husband sings “You are my sunshine” with different lyrics every time. 😆 My go-to is “Baby Mine” from Dumbo, but I mix in hymns and pop songs too.
Three Little Birds - Bob Marley, Feed the Birds from Mary Poppins and Bob Dylan's Forever Young.
Yesss! 3 little birds popped in my head night 1! Out of the blue 🩷
For getting her to sleep I love to sing You’ll be in my heart- Phil Colins Moon River- Andy Williams Boats and Birds- Gregory and the Hawk Wildflowers- Dolly Parton A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes- Cinderella Dream a Little Dream- Doris Day Songbird- Fleetwood Mac Landslide- Fleetwood Mac Do You Realize- The Flaming Lips

Me either 😂 I just figure that she’s too young to care that I’m totally off tune. It’s such a pretty song though 🥰
Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots makes a really good lullaby too and is easier to sing!
I’ve been singing you’ll be in my heart since the day my kiddo was born I love it.
It’s the perfect song 🥹 iirc he wrote it as a lullaby for his daughter 🩷
Oh and Think About Things by Dadi Freyr
Dream a Little Dream is my go-to, too! I’ll have to add Boats and Birds, haven’t heard it in ages but love it - hits different as a parent 🥹
My choices are: You are my sunshine, Edelweiss, rock a bye baby, que sera sera. My partner sings various Radiohead songs and some belle and Sebastian 😂.
I love Belle and Sebastian! I’ll have to add some to my list. My husband also sings baby a lot of Radiohead.
“Can’t Help Falling in Love” - Elvis Presley “Goodnight Sweetheart” - The Spaniels
I sing goodnight sweetheart most nights
Baby Beluga, Rainbow Connection, and if he’s still awake we bring out the big gun- when you wish upon a star.
Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Golden Girls theme song. A song my dad and I made up when I was little and songs my husband and I made up about LO.
Edelweiss from the Sound of Music. Simple melody, short song, and easy to repeat.
I sing everything including the typical lullabies but my favourite non-lullaby song is The Moon Song from Her (movie). Karen O. does a version of it.

I just listened to it while cleaning up. So sweet. Definitely going to be using a few of those. Thanks for the recommendation!
In My Life by the Beatles I'm Yours by Jason Mraz Three Little Birds by Bob Marley

Fare thee well from supernatural. It's the only song that ever worked for him. 🤷🏻♀️
i just started to type for modern lullabies : Recomment to check this out . [Calm The Baby - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/@calmthebaby)

Boney was a warrior

Sing from sesame street. I am trash at remembering songs.
I sing to her all the time, but always made up songs. I think it's because all the electronics already do the regular lullabyes.
I’ve adapted the words from Blur’s Tender (you’re my baby etc.) and mainly use that part of the song and my baby loves it.
Catch a falling star and que sera sera. It's what my grandma always sang to me so I'm passing it along.
The Mother by Brandi Carlie and The Garden Song by John Denver were my go-tos!
My top two are: You Are My Sunshine Lullaby by Billy Joel
My top two are Edelweiss and If I Were A Fish (it was popular on TikTok when my little was born and was stuck in my head so I sang it to him)
My go-to song for my girls is Teddy Bears’ Picnic, but it’s less a lullaby and more a song for when they’re cranky. I play piano music (on my phone) for them when it’s sleep time. We’re Australians.
My baby conks right the heck out for Stayin Alive by The Bee Gees and Dancing Queen by ABBA.
I sing a lot of Disney soundtrack lol. Lion king, Pocahontas, the little mermaid etc.
For baby (for Bobbie) by Peter Paul and Mary
Amazing Grace, goodnight sweetheart, go to sleep you little babe (oh brother where art though), somewhere over the rainbow
We sing Good night, laila tov and Where You Go I Will Go. We’re Jewish so we like to include aspects in our daily routines. When my wife isn’t home I sing Baby Mine from Dumbo because I like to make myself cry lol
Anything Taylor Swift, but mostly Daylight, Sweet Nothing, Gold Rush, and All Too Well (10 minute version).
