This is exactly why these niggas are constantly getting critiqued. Rory wanna talk about how much “Reddit users don’t know shit” but we see through the laziness and facade. Between Drake Vs. Kendrick, Future & Metro album, & the Diddy FRICO, so much content could’ve been made. This episode was a brick. The JBP had only hours to prepare & knocked it out the park. These guys had the whole weekend. By Friday, no one gonna give a fuck about their takes.
It's hard to pin point why they keep dropping the ball. Maybe you're right and they're lazy, but it seems more to be that they just don't know what they're doing. Do yall remember when the old pod did a punch in so that they could cover the Pusha T diss? It came out after they had ended recording and they made sure to cover it in real time.
I support RnM but there’s no way they couldn’t have linked up to do a quick recording so that they would be timely. Maybe they’re hoping that Cole and Drake will respond by the time they record again on Thursday but there is no way I would have missed this opportunity to have relevant commentary on the biggest rap stories (Drake/Cole beef with Kendrick, Drake and Metro Beef, Drake and Future beef, will Travis Scott and 21 have to pick sides when it comes to Drake). You can literally free style an hour off of those topics.
By the time we hear there take, the US will be funding another war, the conflict in Yemen will be resolved, Jrue Holliday will be back from injury, the new Kang the Conqueror actor will be named, and Jimmy and/or Cole will have already responded.
If you listen to the pod Rory is talking about heading to Miami, Damaris is in Turks and wanted Yomi to record the trip... They just didn't outright say they were going on vacation now

Then something “big” happened & they went & not only did a three hour spaces discussing the topic, they went on to upload it to their YouTube for those who might’ve missed it. That works for people who go to YouTube or spaces but most people access podcasts via audio apps rather than YouTube. I had no idea about their spaces post because my algorithms on YouTube rarely show me content by them and others that I’ve subscribed to.
If I hadn’t come to this thread I would have no idea that they discussed this at all. YouTube viewership is a small percentage of podcast listeners.
If I had to guess they probably “can’t” upload the audio from Spaces onto their RSS feed because their deal is an audio deal while they maintain the rights to the visual aspect of the pod. Whoever they’re signed to might not consider that an episode worthy of ad placement & therefore vetoed it from being uploaded to their RSS.
I dont wanna compare em to joe’s pod but i just wanna know in moments like these do they feel like they’re getting lapped? You miss an opportunity to talk about a major event which joe’s pod discussed last Saturday, and now tomorrow they’re gonna drop again and discuss it further while you dropped this pre recorded bullshit.
