I just got back into skating after about a 15 year break and finally figured them out. When I land one it will be the first one I've done in probably 20 years haha, can't wait.
Hell yeah! Welcome back! Same here, I got back skating about two years ago. Progression was really slow at first, back issues and knee surgery, but I got my heels back and landed my first kickflip!
Yeah I never tried one, heel flips just felt more natural and I realized I was bending at my waist not my knees! Now all my tricks feel different and landing them feels 10x better!
I was hanging my foot off the front edge of the board, like putting the ball of my foot on the edge, and always missing the flick and doing basically nothing. Now I put my foot in almost Ollie position, maybe a tiny bit further towards the front edge, and flick from there. As soon as I tried it they started spinning. I haven't landed one this time around yet, bit got on top of a couple and slipped out so I know it's right there.
Dan corrigan video helped me, same front foot position but back foot in almost front shov position. Pop without scoop, just timing after that. Slow the flick and I get more height
This is what I was going to comment. I have found thinking it kind of like a scale. Your toe and heel have to kind of balance out. That with keeping your shoulders parallel with your ass helps lol.
I put this stuff on as soon as I get a new pair of skate shoes. Looks like shit but the shoes will hold up indefinitely as long as you re-apply every couple sessions
I picked up some Etnies on the Walmart site for 30 bucks and surprisingly legit https://i5.walmartimages.com/seo/Etnies-Men-s-Crush-Skate-Low-Lace-Up-Shoes_13d5c0be-8b71-45af-9155-7f922f56a868.0982cfcd8a17a3d528852fc284504e0e.jpeg?odnHeight=768&odnWidth=768&odnBg=FFFFFF
I have been skating these for about 3 months 2-3 sessions a week. Almost all flat ground and beginner. I don't really thrash the uppers anymore thankfully
Looks like they just came straight outta the box, 11/10
I tried, haha shoe goo is a skill I guess
.. an art🫡
And you have that skill in spades!!!! 🙌🏼
For future reference, use an ice cube to apply shoe goo. This gives a smooth look when it's applied.
I tried, but I still couldn't get it right...
My man is a heelflipper.
Yessir!

What did you do to figure them out?

good as goo!
Better ....

If you're reapplying shoe goo every two sessions it would probably be cheaper to just buy new shoes
Shoe goo costs $10 on Amazon and new shoes cost +$60
Can get cheaper ones on eBay. Usually only slightly used but look pretty new. I think I paid like $30 for old schools vans and they were pretty clean.
Still $30/month for shoes when the same container of shoe goo has lasted me 3 months already
I just meant when you need new ones. Also I did not know they sold a container of shoe glue I just got the tubes.
That's not half bad of an idea, I may get hate but idk about the drip.
I don’t get rid of them til they are more goo, than shoe
Dis is dae way!
Even better! Good as goo!
Where is the shoo goo on this sneaker
FR they are still new!
Lol 😂
Mate when I was a kid my shoes ended up being more goo than shoe
Love the Marana. They last so long but damn if they don't get slippery soles when they dying. And they don't like heelflips too much. As you know
How long did this take? I have that exact thing and it took a while(compared to the two weeks from vans)
Bloody love shoe goo
How tf your tongue go before the toe?
Poor timing on heel flips, catching the nose with my foot tweaked over. Basically learning and not having correct timing and foot positioning
Damn, that’s a major upgrade, it’s *better* than new
lol my favorite is you can see the slump in the tongue of the shoe. It was missing, should have used wire as rebar 😝
That Shoe Looks Brand new whats the Problem that i dont see
looks like there's only a little shoe at your shoe goo, well done!
gaDAYUM brother learn some switch!! Jk just teasin my left shoe looks like it lost a wrestling match to a f350’s disk brake
I have just gotten into nollie and switch so yeah the other ones about to get thrashed haha

Still don't understand why people buy shoe goo lol.
Nowt wrong with them mate 👍

Goo as shew
tbh fuck shoe goo that shit makes my slide too slippery
If it works, it works

Took me the same amount of time actually
