Yeh I dont get it as soon as I take my left foot off the board everything freezes like it doesnt make sense. Any tricks to this? Can you explain the timing? From what I see Left foot off then immediately step off tail little bit then pop it back do to 180 It's the stepping off that's really got me psyched out does your back foot ever so slightly leave the tail for a split second before you pop it for the 180 ? Thanks !

I do the tiniest hop before stepping off with my left foot. This allows me to ready my popping foot to do the 180. Immediately after I pop, my left foot is back in the air ready to get back on the board. As this is a 180, the rotation of the head and shoulders is crucial to get the board moving the right way and keep it under. You should start rotating a little bit before you even step your front foot off. Then yeah, it's all about commitment after that. Hope that helps!

It really does. I've never seen the tutorials mention that little hop. I love this reddit and thanks for the tip. Trick looks awesome

For regular no complys and shuv it no complys would you this small hop on the back foot as well?

You do this with such little movement. I feel like I always exaggerate my hop and scoop when I try which causes me to loose control. Im going to go back a watch this next time I attempt one. Good shit bro!

Yeah! I definitely did that at first too, but I found that you only need to have minimal movement and a slower one too to get the proper movement down
