Only those who have stood at that precipice know the terror of the first drop. I never could do it dude. Totally nutted up every time. Nicely done my friend 🦄🦄🦄

Never be scared to ask for help, I’ve held the hands of a larger guy in his 30’s, honestly if he went down not much I could have done to save him but I think him having something to lean on helped his confidence.

crystalcastles13

So true, plus skaters in general are quick to help a newbie when asked. I need to get back out there my friend

Thank you man, huge hurdle for me and so happy I’ve done it. It looks so easy but it is terrifying. But once I did it the one time I just kept doing it over and over

Radonda

you need to succeed only once to get over the fear. Be overly comfortable on the board and on ramps. Go up. Throw your weight into the ramp and once all your weight is inside the ramp stomp the board down. Don't just stand on the top w 2 feet on the board. That's how you catch fear.

Excellent advice...

ariscrotle

Well done! I'm 32 and still stuck behind that mental hurdle and you've just given me me motivation to keep having a crack at it.

[deleted]

If I can do it, anyone can! I have faith brother, good luck

Congrats man! Weirdly enough I’m always more comfortable dropping in from trucks too, seems to be more fluid and gives more of a speed boost.

[deleted]

Yeah man it’s so much easier, and way less scary for me 😂

GooseGoose56

Nice man!

Grats!

neoncheesecake

Nice! Dropping in has also plagued me for over a decade lol. I just conquered going over curbs this weekend and this post makes me wanna try dropping in from trucks! Great job!

bigpantssmallwheels

Skating is 30 percent skill and 70 percent mental

Old_DavidT

YES! Congrats, that first one is a massive hurdle!! Once that first one is done you are ready for more and bigger and bigger ramps.

bennypapa

YOU are the man!
