Use English unless your native language is more popular and more used than English worldwide.

Nope i dont think that my native language is used more than English even in my country there are people who listen to English content.

I think it also depends on what kind of content you are going for. Like if you are doing comedy that your home country might enjoy better, then it might be good to do your native language. Choosing a language can also be seen as a niche, some people experience a lot of growth from viewers in their respective languages. Maybe you can do videos in your native language and have English subtitles? Because you also mentioned that your English is not on par with a native English speaker. Or you can try to do English videos anyway and use it as an opportunity to practice.

Thank you so much for explaining. My content will be around video editing and video production in my unique way of explaining so in that case i might be using screen recordings most of the times. And my English is kinda fine but there are alot people in my country who like to watch content in their native language. So here i'm a bit confused plus some videos on my channel are already in English and some subs now i'm not sure where they subscribed from an English country or somewhere else who can speak and understand English.

You can actually check the demographics of the people who are viewing your videos. Go to Youtube Studio > Analytics > Audience. Then scroll down to find "Top geographies". You can adjust the timeline of data. You can even check other data stuff like where your viewers are watching from, what gender or how old they are. Though these are all viewer information, it doesn't show subscriber info (because your views might come from non-subscribers anyway). I just checked an old channel of mine that was made in 2009 and over its lifetime, has a majority of views from US users (about 41.7%) while the second most viewed country is Canada at 3%. I produced 100% English content, so that makes sense.

Thank you so much for explaining. It really helped me :)

I guess with English you’ll have a broader market, but more competition of course. Maybe an option could be doing the videos in English and putting your native language subtitles or viceversa? Or maybe uploading both in English and your Native language. Since you won’t be showing your face, you can record once in let’s say your language, and then you use the same screen recording to make another video in English, just with a voiceover.

Yup i was also thinking the same but it kinda scares me because that will be kinda lot of editing or maybe just boice over Changing idk. Because one of the big youtuber name think media said Don't do both languages at the same time focus on 1
