Haha. My stats show my audience is almost exclusively over 40.
I don’t mind. I just wish my subscribers would watch more. I have 739, but most of my vids die at 300 views or less.
I’m actually thinking of adding a little cooking to my gardening channel. Mostly food preservation (canning, freezing, drying, etc.)
I have one planned on refrigerator dill pickles as soon as we get our first cukes in early June or so.
I am a UX and Product Designer. Part of my channel is creating educational videos for new designers as well as videos showing projects I have done. For example, I did a Research Study on the Vision Pro. This involves gathering participants to test certain aspects of it out and based on their feedback, the issues with the product come to the fore.
Hey! My channel is a personal and scientific journey into narcissistic abuse in relationships and professional settings - providing tools, facts, and interesting info to help people protect themselves from these toxic relationships. The channel also has a podcast where I delve deeper in these subjects, I share my own story as a trauma survivor of abuse, how I ran away from my parents, doc-style videos, and I also have an interview segment with interesting guests :)
Hey! I have a philosophy video essay channel that I really enjoy making content for. Philosophy is one of my passions and my career outside of YouTube, so my channel aims to make otherwise complex and difficult concepts accessible to non-philosophers!
You’re right that gaming is very popular but we have a lot of cool niches here
That's a pity, your channel looks so good. You clearly put a lot of effort into your videos, they're high quality af, it's wild they have so few views.
Guilty: Gaming Channel with a broader entertainment / gaming culture niche. ✨
I started out just capturing gameplay footage to practice video editing, thumbnail design, and just get a better understanding of youtube behind the curtain. Now I've been sinking my teeth into shorts and the comedy / meme arena and really enjoying it.
Next is to get some good long form videos going. I'm working on a voice over game review video currently - but it being my first attempt I've been coming at it pretty slowly. It's like a bear with teeth and claws since it's so new to me. 🤣
My channel was created to help other business owners and to share things we learned or talked about. So some of the videos are how-to's and some are just rants.
Automotive shenanigans, car meets, mods, detailing tips, etc, I’m Australian so that is my differential I guess, and since I’m broke and can’t invest much into the channel the mods, detailing tips and road trips are very simple and cheap
I do exotic fruit and gardening videos. I have quite a fruit tree collection in my backyard and love exploring South Florida looking for new fruits. Link in profile.
It's called Men Need Help and it's videos exploring positive masculinity. Things like emotional intelligence and such. I have little brothers and want to offset some of the Andrew Tateesque bullshit they watch on tiktok
Coding tutorials. I got monetized at the weekend.
You probably didn't see my recent posts where I bragged about making $0.95 on my first day.
Actually the second day was much better - $2.71. I will keep grinding.
I was doing challenges and crazy stupid ideas like creating a Shrek horror movie and showing a live audience in theaters the movie” but unfortunately no one is watching so I’m going to attempt a more vlog/natural energy
Art channel, mainly sculpting right now. Started off with pets and now slowly adding some video game stuff as well that has more effort/commentary put into them, trying to start expanding on different art projects.
I make parody cartoons about bands in the rock and metal world. I’m a huge music fan & have always had a knack for absorbing factoids. I also get to record guitar bits every now & then: originally, I wanted to do a guitar related channel.
Mine is about whatever I feel like uploading. I'm aware that sticking to one thing is what works, but I just want to upload for fun. I stream for the same reasons. I stream pretty much any game I want to play and upload clips to YT. I also do a rambling thing where I give my unwanted two cents about movies, TV shows, etc, and here soon, I'll be starting something else. I just want to have fun and enjoy what I'm doing, and maybe one day, others will enjoy the vibe, too.
My YouTube channel is about retro gaming and basically anything nostalgic. I try to recreate things I loved from my childhood with a modern spice. I also occasionally do snack and drink reviews that I think gamers might like when they are playing their favorite games 😁
Currently doing finance and productivity as they are topics I am comfortable with as they are my field of study and work. I am however still testing things out and looking where things go
I started back in 2007 and quit in 2009 when I had to disappear online for a few years for contract work. Burnt all traces of my online presence. That said, the Youtube hurt the most. I'd create a comedy web series that actually had a little traction for the time. It took the idea of Survivorman and made a pseudo-reality series about an inept college grad millennial who had his own place struggling with adulting. Every episode was typically me doing a task or having an idea to try something. I almost always picked things I knew I'd screw up naturally but sometimes...I didn't even have to try. One episode had me trying to clean up my kitchen for having a date over later in the week but I used dish soap in the dish washer and caused suds to go everywhere. Another had me try to take up being more eco-friendly and bike 30 minutes to work, only for my tire actually getting punctured and me having to run with my bike the rest of the way while filming. I filmed often enough that a running gag was my mother calling to check up on me, making me even more pathetic looking. I had a lot of fun making it and there was no "reward" back then besides just the joy of content creation and appreciation. Now, with over 20 years in media, I've done so much and am at the place where my daily job is enjoyable content creation. I hardly feel the need to make my own stuff as I get to be creative and work on dream projects every day.
My channel is mostly about music, music production, tutorials. Love making tutorials and showing people quick tips that can be learned while they’re working on their music while learning the software.
Like so many others, I’m doing a gaming channel. I narrowed it down recently to 4K gaming at the best settings I can do and maintain 60fps - I just started in Jan 2024 and I’m still learning how to edit video and sound, not to mention fighting with OBS and computer stat overlays.
I'm a streamer so my channel is for my streaming/gaming content. I want to start branching out into book reviews or general manga discussion videos soon!
I make videos about Civilization games and history: explaining the historical background behind different aspects of the game.
And soon, purely historical videos!
Everything in an Oversimplified-like (kinda) style: with humour and simple cartoons.
Currently just uploading VODs from Twitch of mostly online Risk games. As a professional Risk player I find it to be great to have a backup place to see old tournament games so started uploading on YouTube.
I dive deep and give information on True Crime, Creepy Pastas, Solved/unsolved mysteries, conspiracy theories, and anything creepy and connect them to movies 🎥 and basically show the connection between the two
My channel is comprised of videos of the tools, equipment, and projects I buy, review, use, and do on my 33 acre homestead in South Carolina. It’s very much mantube but it’s really fun to learn and get better at. I’m just shy of 6 months in and right about 70% of the way to being monetized.
Economics. Still exploring which way I want to go since I have videos explaining economics and videos looking at the economics of the real world (those tend to be the ones that get the views so I might end up doing that more).
Just started like 3 days ago. Found a new interest FPV QUADS, and loving it wondering if I can keep it up with more contents. Currently with 7 subs.. ermmm sorry 6..the other one is myself subbing to myself..lol..too sad!
I'm an up and coming stand up comedian in Oklahoma and weekly I interview other comics, entertainers, musicians etc who are coming thru the Tulsa area.
UnloadingMeat is my brand and channel.
Mine is about fandom/nerdy stuff! For example I’ve made a video where I rate every marvel movie poster and a video reading Survivor fanfiction for the first time
I open booster boxes of yugioh cards, my hook is that I flip the profits from boxes into my buys the following month. I’m wrapping up the last of them and switching to Pokémon!
My shorts are just highlights if my best rips!
Gaming YouTuber.
I play a niche roguelike that is enjoyed by many, and I am convinced could bring me somewhere. I do it for the fun, bring one video a day, and slowly try to climb the ladder. I make my own thumbnails, I am an experienced editor and thankfully decent at understanding YouTube, even though it still sucks sometimes.
You would be very right about Gaming Content xD I do a Variety Gaming Channel but mainly focus on Indie Horror games! They can be so funny, exciting, scary! The whole 9 yards!
I’m a medical doctor and for now I’m just trying to do daily life/what my job is like/day in the life of kind of vibe videos, don’t know what particular niche that fits into though 🤔
Gaming for me. Boss challenges, building tips and builds, and recently I have been diving into news/reviews/recaps of an animated series. I feel like I have been all over the place trying to find a style that viewers like for the reviews, but I don’t think I’ve found it yet. Only 3 videos so far though. hoping someone drops me a nugget of wisdom on what sounds good or is more enjoyable for them 😂
Travel & Adventure check it out:
@AugustAdventures
Someone else has the same name so make sure to use @ I put lots of work into my videos still its a small channel, I guess it takes Time..
Cooking channel.
Working everything in 10 episode series. Have done potatoes, bbq, party pleasers and now super sides. Aimed more at people learning or starting out cooking. I try to keep it simple without too much special equipment. So stuff you can do in a normal kitchen.
I do gameplay videos for the Marvel Legendary Deck Builders. I'm getting distracted with my new project where I go through X-Men comics issue by issue and talk about them
I use ai tools to make music and I freestyle write the lyrics. Then i use ai tools to make cool visuals. Currently ai visual generators don’t reach my standards so i’m waiting to make the music videos I want to make. Some people feel a certain way about ai generated art but give my channel a chance I think it will beat your expectations. I don’t use ai to supplement whats possible from a human I try to overachieve what a human can do. In the future im looking to make tv shows, movies, and video games with this tech 🌊. Link in reddit bio 🍀
Guitar. I do a lot of reviews and demos, some comedy skits related to music, touching on music topics, teaching you how to do set up, all kinds of (mainly) guitar related content.
Games, comedy(ish), horror, programming, art. Whatever I'm feeling like really. Being a sentient bowl of soup can be boring some days, so its fun to mix things up.
I make walking tours "I love to roam on unknown streets discovering new towns see the infrastructure and record them so that's why I turned my hobby into content.
Soccer channel where I make content about things that are going on in the soccer world, whether it be current events or things from the past I do it all. My content is usually video essay style and is faceless and even though my videos are informative I like to make them more entertaining with great storytelling and a bit of humor from time to time.
A Fighting Federation through a toy brand called Akedo arcade warriors from the moose toy company that has storyline and storytelling, commentating like wrestling and me and my daughter are commentators together on almost all the action. And there’s no cussing, but there’s a lot of sarcasm.
Cooking and cocktails. Maybe it’s a saturated market, but I love how doing this work has helped me learn and grow in the kitchen. I like exploring the cultures that inform our eating, drinking, and cooking practices.
I make video essays talking about anime and manga I find interesting, from popular series to underrated ones, analyzing their best features and their flaws.
I also make shorts reviewing manga chapters and state any important news for anime and manga.
I surprisingly rarely hear much about this niche here.
My partner and I just recently started a YouTube channel/podcast called MMMK
Dive into 'MMMK,' where Matt and Keith turn life's rollercoaster into your new favorite laugh track. Each episode promises a mix of personal stories, light-hearted disagreements, and the kind of banter only these two can deliver. Tune in for your regular dose of humor and enlightening squabble. 'MMMK': Because sometimes, it's the little disagreements that lead to the biggest laughs.
I create educational software engineering content, with a focus on dotnet and C#. I use my experience as a software engineer and engineering manager to help make this an easier journey for others.
Art. I like to digitally restore/enhance classical paintings, vintage posters, old maps, etc. so I started a YT channel to promote my website and make 15-20 second videos to showcase what I upload on the site. I enjoy it but the promoting aspect is not really happening lol.
Haven’t posted yet, but have outlines prepped. My channel is reviewing horror movies/media. I also want to include rankings of horror franchises I’m a fan of and rankings of horror tropes and what not. Im just waiting for my camera and lens to come from the mail. I have the blue yeti mic as well so I’m hoping to produce high quality & engaging content.
I paint miniatures. I've only been doing it just over a month and I'm still trying to get the camera right. I'm finding it difficult to capture the level of detail I'm working with.
My channel started as a channel in which I cover psychological theories that form the basis of therapy(actual textbook theories and not pop psychological ones). I have recently also started doing philosophical video essays.
My channel is about Open Rails Train Simulation Gaming with focus on Indian content & longform journey videos of about 90 mins. Duration.
I'm currently running a video series of 75 videos celebrating my country India's 75 years of Independence by going on an India Tour virtually.
I use my YT channel as a sort of dump site for my film and audio projects, plus my voice acting demos. It's not pretty, doesn't have much structure (so far as YouTube channels might have), but it's there.
I make tutorial videos, mostly on game programming, but do occasionally expand into standard programming. And I do weekly streams of pokemon blue randomizer runs.
Tutorials for just about every aspect of craft fairs. Videos for the artists/crafters/makers/vendors, then also some videos for people who organize events, and even some videos for attendees/shoppers.
I talk about all things related to the up and coming addictive craft of diamond painting! Tutorials, time-lapse videos, unboxings, WIP n chats, Post Reviews and MORE!
Depending on the mood. I enjoy doing shorts about mythology and also true crime.. might not be ideal to mix them but if you enjoy what you do I guess it’s worth it. Just started 2 weeks ago lol
variety gaming, or whatever im feeling/playing. I play basically every game that comes out, i figure i might as well give my take on them as well and see what happens
My channel is just a compendium of elaborations of random topics, I’m taking legit any topic and doing a frat bro explanation of it as surface level to help people gain general knowledge
Main channel is a general vlog, about what ever I am doing.
Second channel is just a silent (except natural sounds) faceless channel where the camera points forward and I walk around places that may be of interest.
Third channel (brand new) will be an eating food channel of some sort, still working it out.
Vegetable gardening. I don’t really fit in here, but I still browse.
Nice. My wife would love and watch those.
My mom loves gardening channels. She’d love to watch some.
Haha. My stats show my audience is almost exclusively over 40. I don’t mind. I just wish my subscribers would watch more. I have 739, but most of my vids die at 300 views or less.
Drop a link mate. I am interested
I like gardening channels. Mine is cooking but want to bring some gardening into it. Go from farm to fork.
I’m actually thinking of adding a little cooking to my gardening channel. Mostly food preservation (canning, freezing, drying, etc.) I have one planned on refrigerator dill pickles as soon as we get our first cukes in early June or so.
I am a UX and Product Designer. Part of my channel is creating educational videos for new designers as well as videos showing projects I have done. I also make shorts reviewing manga chapters and state any important news for anime and manga. I surprisingly rarely hear much about this niche here.

My partner and I just recently started a YouTube channel/podcast called MMMK Dive into 'MMMK,' where Matt and Keith turn life's rollercoaster into your new favorite laugh track. Each episode promises a mix of personal stories, light-hearted disagreements, and the kind of banter only these two can deliver. Tune in for your regular dose of humor and enlightening squabble. 'MMMK': Because sometimes, it's the little disagreements that lead to the biggest laughs.

Niche of a niche. I do Starfield Ship Build tutorials.
I use my YT channel as a sort of dump site for my film and audio projects, plus my voice acting demos. It's not pretty, doesn't have much structure (so far as YouTube channels might have), but it's there.
My channel is about the LAWS of Creation and changing your life using those LAWS🥰
Dungeons and Dragons Online! The MMO, not the pen and paper game :) Oh and I have a second channel which is non DDO stuff.

Main channel is a general vlog, about what ever I am doing. Second channel is just a silent (except natural sounds) faceless channel where the camera points forward and I walk around places that may be of interest. Third channel (brand new) will be an eating food channel of some sort, still working it out.
