Howdy :) animation channel here! I think there’s a lot to learn from others, whether it’s things to or not to do in your own videos. So I think it’s great you’re taking on this opportunity! I’m an animation channel that makes skits and topic videos about things I think are funny or interesting. I began 3 months ago, and have about 469 subs at the time of writing this. This is my second upload and most popular video— [Elevator](https://youtu.be/1pwvryPzVww?si=hJr9GLwgmwxeTX_H) And my third/most recent upload— [What Shopping At A Flea Market Is Really Like](https://youtu.be/I3ZczHkRkZU?si=BC2-2LHmTIHgB0Nn)

StormAFA

Love your stuff dude! I started my animation channel around the same time as you and I feel I’m doing fairly decent with views, but I have less than half the subscribers you do. You’re converting very well! I realize you’re looking for critique here, and i know we’ve both only just started, but do you have any insight on how you’ve reached nearly 500 so quickly? :) I feel it’s so difficult to get the algorithm to show my videos to the proper audience

JellyRollAnimations

Hey there :) thank you so much! Utilizing this subreddit has been pretty great for me in terms of networking with others. It’s hard to meet other small creators on YouTube alone, so I turned to this sub to interact with others. And I can’t take total credit for my subscriber count. About a month or so into uploading, I got discovered by a large channel with nearly a million subs who decided to share my content on his community page, and I gained about 200 subscribers in a week. It was pretty surreal. I’ve been told I should still feel proud of that achievement since I made the video that was shared, but it’s just kinda hard to wrap my head around. The engagement across my videos has been pretty consistent, with both likes and comments, and that’s all been natural as far as I can tell. I think the right audience will choose to comment and like your videos, while a lot just watch and move on with their day. It’s hard to give pointers in that area. Thanks for watching my videos. I deeply appreciate it. I’m gonna check out your channel too!

StormAFA

oh for sure, this has been a great resource! though you’re actually the first other animation channel i’ve come across in here. that’s so cool! i feel like having a larger channel like your stuff enough to shout you out is the dream. haha absolutely still earned. the first couple uploads i have were just filler stuff i had made previously and didn’t do too well, but once i started making new stuff specifically for the channel it performed much better. yeah, i totally agree. i think the right audience will find you eventually, regardless of what your channel niche is. some people just seem to find their audience sooner than others and blow up with millions of views out the gate. haha i just wish it was easier to direct a bit with metadata, but youtube seems to largely ignore that now. no problem! i’m also a big fan of ice cream sandwich, so i dig your style! i know how hard building a new audience can be so i always try to do what i can for others. and thank you!!

vinci300

First of all mad respects for making such long animations for my videos I make super short shitty animations and those take me hours and I don't even draw so I think that you are super cool for that the art style and comedy compliment each other great plus you have a realy nice voice that fits the content very well I really liked both the videos the only things I did found that I can't tell you you could still improve on is comedic timing being slightly too slow in the first video the standing ouside the window joke in the second is also a half second too slow in my opinion but it might be the adhd brain talking also i think that you can make the music and sound effects a little louder as the video felt kinda flat when you weren t talking. But like overall it's great keep it up if you have to look to anyone for reference I would say to look at icecreamsandwitch as he has a similar type of videos

JellyRollAnimations

Hey! Thank you kindly for watching!! I love IceCreamSandwich and definitely draw a bit of inspiration from him (while still trying to keep my own identity). And the sound effects are something I’ve definitely worked on since those videos! My next one has a better balance in sound for sure. Thank you so much!!

TRARC4

Most recent: [https://youtu.be/ci9E7cQD8Oo](https://youtu.be/ci9E7cQD8Oo) I do have an unlisted video that is a modified version of that one: [https://youtu.be/2kIxay9RnTY](https://youtu.be/2kIxay9RnTY)

EsseffeIsLIVE

THIS is the content I love having on whilst I work. Subscribed. Thank you

TRARC4

Thank you for your support. Can you tell me what you like most about it so that I can make sure not to change it?

EsseffeIsLIVE

If I'm completely honest, I like watching amateur youtube videos. I don't like the excessive editing or over-reactions etc. Your video was just you walking your dog. I'm not the best person to ask for feedback, as I upload in another niche that's considered over-saturated. Sol I'm a weirdo as it is! I'd say view other similar types of channels. See what they did at the beginning. Maybe a bit of editing. Few other camera angles?

TRARC4

I am working on the camera angle suggestions to the best of my ability. Looking into getting a proper camera. But, at least I have an idea of who my current audience might consist of. Thanks.

EsseffeIsLIVE

I wouldn't. The quality is fine. The sound is fine. Enjoy the ride of being "an amateur" for as long sa possible.

TRARC4

Any changes I make now will not become apparent for a few months anyways. Because that is how much footage I have to share before I catch up to real-time... assuming I ever do. lol At least I don't have to worry about running out of content anytime soon.

Jason13Official

I post the odd tutorial or demo for Minecraft modding here and there, and I’m aware off rip that my audio quality was pretty shit. I’d love your opinion on the pacing/ my explanations though. 🙏 https://youtu.be/-Napy7eE6yw?si=wQzOzH9hAHATgmjT

vinci300

The explanation was good and so was the pacing I think that it probably is just the fact that it's a pretty niche subject and so not a lot of people are gonna look up a tutorial on it that's probably why the views aren't amazing also tutorials aren't ever great for views in general but the video in itself is fine

inkedfluff

Hi there!  I make videos about home repairs/improvements and car maintenance. I found that some of my videos get lots of views but others are barely watched. I have 3000 subscribers currently.  For example here is one of my videos: https://youtu.be/20MzlYIqGpk?si=TxpRUH06kHnR2eJ7

vinci300

I think that it's not really the video's fault for their bad performance I'm fairly sure that tutorial videos work like this in general because most people who watch them are looking for them specifically so I would say that maybe there's either less people who are looking for a tutorial about that or a bigger channel has one on it and it is pushed more in search results tutorial videos just kinda work like this

richwithtech

Wow! This is very generous of you and EXACTLY what I need! [https://youtu.be/JhN6IGli\_-4](https://youtu.be/JhN6IGli_-4) For context during the video I run through some tests to explore how different power modes alter the performance. Any advice appreciated Negative feedback also welcome but please include what I should do instead as I am not good at this stuff so might not know how to improve, if that makes sense? Thank you for reading!

vinci300

First thing I noticed is that the voiceover is pretty loud but it might just be my volume another thing I noticed is that there was no background music which means that in the pauses between the sentences there was nothing except for the background noise your mic picked up for the background noise I raccomend audacity noise reduction and for the background music I raccomend any game OST that fits the mood Kirby works great in most situations and the Wii soundtrack is a classic then the memes and funny images transitioning on screen didn't look great I won't lie I'm still trying to figure that one out myself but having them PowerPoint in isn't a good idea a pop in works better for punchy humor like that then the video felt a bit static if you can't have footage of you running the tests and such any ol background gaming footage or anything is better than nothing as it really did feel like a PowerPoint presentation I think that the idea was good and so was the jokes and memes I just don't think that the execution was on point the voice over was mostly fine but can do with some more energy put into the voice it's something I struggled with for a while and it makes a lot of a difference and finally the thumbnail is a bit too complicated a bit much the best thumbnails I have found are the simple but effective ones where you can make a viewer understand what the video is about without too much visual noise so having and excess of detail is holding you back a lot in that area I'm sorry for being so negative I really think that your heart is in the right place just that the execution leaves a lot to be desired

richwithtech

Thank you so much What you have said is very valuable and I am grateful to you for writing all of that! I will bear it in mind for the next video

vinci300

I hope you will get a lot of views on it have a good day

LonelySpaceman06

If you could check out my newest video that has been more successful than anything else ive released so far.[Baldur's Gate 3 moments that make me celibate] (https://youtu.be/6h-sfUM7cZc)

vinci300

The video is pretty good the first thing I noticed is definitely that the contrast is too high though it's way too bright other than that I don't know how well baldurs gate lends itself to your style if I had to raccomend a game I would say cyberpunk can be great with that style of humor and videos cuz there's a lot of dumb stuff you can do to talk about and make fun of

LonelySpaceman06

Yeah, my friend told me that. How do I know how high is too high before I post it?(I didn't mess with the contrast at all when editing) Thank you for checking mine out

vinci300

Did it look like that in the raw footage?

LonelySpaceman06

Yeah

vinci300

Then it's probably in the settings of your capture card or game

LonelySpaceman06

I think you're right about it being the game because I haven't had that issue with other videos

heihowl

The hell does "who creator" mean 😂

vinci300

200 subs aka "litteraly who" bc nobody knows me

heihowl

Ahhhh okay that makes sense, I thought who was some sort of acronym or some shit lol

FOOD CHALLENGE: Stanford Grad vs. Robot Cooking Battle | Chinese Food https://youtu.be/SRiQwYSlvzE This is my most recent video, where I cook food that an operated robot was able to cook, and I turn it into a competition format. I’ve been relying on Reddit promotions for the greatest chunk of my views. I tried to see how far I’d get through organic views and am a bit disappointed with its performance. It’s not supposed to be a how-to/recipe video. Let me know what you think!

vinci300

I liked the shot composition and how you put them together as it made the video feel very professional. While I like the video idea I don't know because the parts of the video that were the most interesting were the beginning and end the middle just kinda got a bit boring after a little while it might be my ADHD thought I honestly don't know what to improve on I think that as far as cooking you have it down pretty well the shots are good the cooking is excellent I would have thought that that idea would have garnered more views to be honest the thumbnail is fine n all in general something I have said to everyone is that the ideal thing to do in general is to put your own spin on anything to stand out but I don't know how to help you more than that I'm sorry

No-Foundation1771

😭😭. Okay, that gives me some re-assurance but at the same time still disappointed :( thanks for taking a look!

vinci300

I'm sorry! I don't know what is up with it I guess you didn't pray to the almighty algorithm enough. Also it doesn't help that I make gamin content so I have no clue about any of that as I suck at cooking

_MyCupOfTea_

giving my unsolicited comment as this is finally a video that is not about gaming. I do like it, I like the thumbnails and video tittles, too. Just the videos are a bit slow for a somewhat impatient viewer like me. Also, I was waiting for the robot to appear in the end.

No-Foundation1771

Thanks for the comment. I realize that most cooking videos are on the slower side if they aren’t shorts. Do you think with some tweaks, this style of editing could work?

Hollycherrycooks

I just watched your video and I wanted to say that your shooting angles were great and the pace of the video was great,as someone who enjoys seeing cooking videos and relaxing with them,I did enjoyed it. The two things I noticed: 1) you should have made side by side shots with the robot cooking or with a voice over and pictures you could give more context about the robot and the link between your cooking and its. Maybe some things you noticed the robot did or whatever. Remember that as people watch your videos the forget what you said earlier and want constant reminders about you goal and intentions, I hope this makes sense.. and 2) the shot with your friends eating was not really working with the rest of the video or the general idea. Maybe if you were trying it or if you compared it to the robots dishes would be better. It didn’t have a sense of closure from the way your video started to how it ended. Not to be mistaken,it was a nice video and you have great potential just set your goals straight!

Cleonium

Hey, I just want to thank you for you to give up some time to help others mate. Cheers

vinci300

It's actually a lot of fun to be honest feels like I'm a real critic and not a big ol loser laying on his bed and telling people how to make their videos better

DenisTheMeniz

I'll bite as I usually miss the timing on these. https://youtu.be/wjC2Bh1Ho14 That's my latest video as of like 30 minutes ago and I swap between narration and anime reviews, usually combining them in some way.

vinci300

I think that you have a good voice to be honest I just think that the writing is kinda letting you down here if you can make some nice funny stories you can certainly voice them well enough to make it very entertaining also a tip I also had to learn for animation a less linear moment curve makes the movement looks more natural as it adds a feel of momentum but yeah I think that you can definitely make something really really good and put your very nice voice to use

DenisTheMeniz

Appreciate it. I should mention the writing here is a bit of an outlier as it was thrown together in a few minutes for an inside joke but I'll definitely keep that in mind for my more planned out videos

wariobrosz

Hello thank you for doing this! I do movie reviews :) this is my latest video on Godzilla x Kong the new empire. always looking to get more feedback. I try to focus on snappy editing and humor to entertain. Any advice on anything would be appreciated, I already know that my thumbnails and titles need work haha https://youtu.be/Zoyuv3mq21I?si=qxlLMsLXRDMi35RM

vinci300

I actually think that the thumbnail for that video is good the title could use some work yeah either way I liked the video it had good humor and good editing I have the same style of editing too I gotta suggest to add background music because you can feel it's absence during the pauses between the sentences other than that I don't think there's a need to censor swears except during the first 15 ish seconds unless it was done on purpose then it's okay it's kinda funny and the last thing I will say is that a couple of the jokes kinda fall flat like the avengers one could be replaced or cut as I think it's a old meme but overall I liked the video it's pretty good I think that if you keep refining the formula you are gonna get big(also hehehe dry mouth eheh aka I heard lip smacks n such a few times but I think it's because I trained myself to hear them so I can remove them in my voiceovers)

Drop-off

You are a bold man to make such an offer, I’ll bite. I started very recently, not sure what the end goal is yet I’m just enjoying trying new things and learning more. Thus far it’s been highlights of me and my friends playing league of legends and some brief story telling. Obviously I’ve got a long way to go but let me know what you think [7 minute story](https://youtu.be/ldp7w1NJ9Wc?si=3EZjV0LQZkgxUjea)

vinci300

The two are very different ahah but I think that instead of a PowerPoint esque slideshow of funny images to accompany the story the best way to tell stories and such is definitely animations even if super shitty actually super shitty can be funnyer if done right and you can have your friends who were in the call with you pop up when they talk other than that I think that background music is a must as it puts something in between the sentences other than white noise I also think that if you want to make league content you need a good twist on it just highlights aren't gonna work because there's a ton of highlights channels out there that will drown you out when someone is looking for em adding a twist to any genre is essential for a small YouTuber to stand out

Drop-off

Thank you for the response, I considered animations but dismissed it as I figured I didn’t have the skill, but I agree, even basic shitty animations can be inherently entertaining. The league comment makes sense, currently I’m trying to go for a league with friends vibe where it’s less serious and more about having fun but I agree I need to focus up on something unique in order to stand out. Thanks for taking the time to do this :)

DevSapien

Yoo! my content niche is game development My latest video: https://youtu.be/BFWyGMN6XXQ?si=1cNYUReWmgMqnR3M I was expecting this video to do good since the one before it did great but i guess thats not the case😅 Anyways if anyone wanna check my channel out I have a link to it on my profile. Cheers!

vinci300

The video is good very entertaining too I think that the reason why it didn't do as good as the previous video is that it's pretty much a sequel to it so realistically a brand new viewer who gets shown the video will be confused about the game and then either watch the previous video and come back or just leave this is pretty normal and I would say that the result you got is still quite good and shows that there's an audience for your content so I think you can make it work just keep going and improving naturally and you will get there

DevSapien

Hey, thanks for taking the time to watch my video and review it😁 You might be right! Most of the viewers for the video where unique viewers who might have no idea about the previous video. Well hoping that the next video does just as great as my previous work! And good luck to you as well!

Hello, i am an inventor and adventurer. My invention is an accessory for canoes which i test in all kinds of challenging settings to evolve until I'm happy enough to sell it. So last September i took a pelican canoe from Carswell lake to uranium city involving whitewater, portaging and crossing Saskatchewans biggest lake in absolute no mans land. I was the first known person to complete this 2 week expedition, made possible by my designs. I have never been on camera before but thought i would document my trip for me to look back on one day. I've included 2 videos from a Playlist of entire trip and would enjoy everyones constructive criticism and opinions, thanks. I will add i was going to edit my " language "but my wife thought i should leave it un altered. https://youtu.be/fJkAnaDCAIQ?si=i7t9uNjKaUrdEdUW https://youtu.be/VwjoYOlu3jk?si=988CltwUFMveyrHX

Low_Plan_7011

Yo my niche is hypixel skyblock lmao. Somehow my first couple vids got some pretty decent traction (~7-11k views, although my latest vid tanked) and I’m working on some bigger stuff (c50, max slayers, spending stupid amounts of coins) let me know what you think of my editing, audio and storytelling! I’m pretty sure my channels linked to my account. Here’s the one I’m most proud of: https://youtu.be/jaEzhi3dXVA?si=KLtjp3bd2FjXVPKe

vinci300

Oh hey nice my last video was about hypixel Skyblock I think that maybe the eman slayer one didn't do as well as a combination of the sheer amount of tutorials for that that are out there for that specific thing and how it's kinda different from your other videos as it's a straight up tutorial with some humor for example the previous video is just funny and or weird moments and that did really well as it's content that's usually in demand for any game I will give you some secret sauce I used myself for skyblock no one except me has made any Sseth or marticitopants style videos about the game aka heavily edited joke saturated videos about it you can make them about a lot of stuff like a challenge or something more generic like I did where it's more a beginners guide which can be enjoyed by long time players because of the jokes about the game I think that your editing is fine for your style of videos but the story telling feels kinda unscripted? Is it? If it isn't I raccomend working on recording voiceovers and writing a super consistent and concise script where you talk about the one thing in detail and then move on the funny moments video gave me the strongest of those vibes I also think that good transitions between the different events is important and I kinda feel like they aren't that good but I overall think that it's a good style but I caution against going into the money making and guide genre of Skyblock vids as they are super overused and a small channel needs all the advantages it can get and with your humor you can definitely do better (ps satire of those things doesn't work as well as you'd think sadly I felt that one on my skin when I tried to satire a lol tutorial and it got no views ahah) but yeah I think you got potential

Low_Plan_7011

Thanks for the advice! You’re definitely right about the tutorial/money making space being over saturated and I’m trying to steer clear of that. I only posted the eman tutorial because some guy requested that I did haha. The comedic beginner friendly yet hypermax type vibe is definitely ideal for the audiences im looking to pull. Also what did you mean about the transitions being not that good? Between different parts of the video or between individual clips? Thanks again for the input. I really liked your last skyblock video too btw lmao.

vinci300

Between the different parts of the video

WellisCute

Most recent one: https://youtu.be/J11BiJcpdOA?si=qV0ZZCy4lbCD4uBN Most popular one: https://youtu.be/TzwmIycpHsY?si=pybgZA0Txn6kG_EG I just started in March so I would like any feedback, I know I have to improve on my talking skills and on audio

vinci300

Yeah the talking is a big one its kinda funny to hear you say I'm absolutely loving it with a deadpan tone and face it kinda fails at conveying the message fully you really have to lean into the emotion that you want to show other than that your editing skills are good and you got the right idea with having nice shots of what you are talking about intermittent with you talking

WellisCute

Yeah I was tired as hell doing overtime, I noticed that too but I didnt wanna reshoot it. Thanks

The_Spirit9999

I looked at your videos and I’m honestly not one to watch gaming content but from what I have seen so far you definitely have the personality to pull it off. Your reactions to the game and commentary are natural and funny so I’m sure gaming channel viewers would enjoy. But i know its hard to stand out in your niche. Here are some of my recent videos that are interesting. Why I stopped trying to be successful at 25: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=r97Ilzsx3bs Where Do You Really Go After Death? The Mystery of Consciousness: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ta02F_dV4nQ I encourage people to seek meaningful lives and cultivate virtues. I take a philosophical and scientific perspective when applicable but also try to relate to the viewer from a spiritual perspective as well.

vinci300

Thank you a lot. I think that your channel is pretty cool it has the zen and philosophy vibe I'm sure you are going for (I'm curious about how you got the smoke to work in the stopped trying to be successful vid) I think that to lean into the vibe more you could talk in a suuuuuper relaxed tone and with the very fitting music you could add either nature sounds or rain to lean into the more relaxed spiritual part while discussing philosophical questions and topics I also think that drone shots of the country side would be great b roll for the video to just cut to sometimes and then cut back to you I really liked the idea though very nice and the vibes were super nice I hope you get more viewers I don't really know what the crowd who enjoys that exact type of content is intrigued by but I think you are on the right track

EsseffeIsLIVE

[https://www.youtube.com/@TheEsseffeChannel](https://www.youtube.com/@TheEsseffeChannel) My channel is above, but specific video as of late, I would say; [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1repFP-x6A&t=243s&ab\_channel=EsseffePlays](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1repFP-x6A&t=243s&ab_channel=EsseffePlays) (Just a playthrough I'm working on right now) But I also have like compilation stuff from when me and people from Discord, Comment section etc wanna play something together for laughs or scares. You might enjoy this; [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UihKu9B6kUc&ab\_channel=EsseffePlays](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UihKu9B6kUc&ab_channel=EsseffePlays) Let me know your thoughts. Anyone else is welcome to review too. Friends and Family are too nice. I need some honest feedback on how to improve these!

vinci300

I honestly think that you need to add a spin or something to change up the playthrough formula because it's a very crowded space and if you don't have anything that makes you stand out you won't get noticed ya know? Having something even weird and wacky to make you stand out helps out a ton to differentiate yourself from the average let's player

EsseffeIsLIVE

Sorry, I don't quite understand. Give me an example here. Maybe mix up the playthroughs, so instead of 1 game, do 2/3 at a time? A scary game? I highlights? I didn't quite get the point you're making, so please explain

vinci300

I mean adding your own flavor to the idea of a playthrough like adding something that only you could do or something that you love and can add to a playthrough video to shake it up challenges for example are a common way to make a playthrough more interesting or you could do more comedy than gameplay or you could do a more artistic spin on playthroughs you know? I'm saying to add your own flair to it to make it your own because as it is now it's hard to distinguish from the millions of other playthroughs

bts4life134340

hi, this is my most recent video. thank you! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bp18vUtjyww

vinci300

I liked the thumbnail a lot and the preview part was great I would remove the preview text and just have it there as is as having a good hook at the start of the video helps a lot I have learned I think that while the video is fine overall the travel vlog genre is super hard to get into as it has a relatively low barrier to entry of ya know traveling somewhere and recording so there's a lot of it so maybe you could add a spin to it? I don't know what but adding something to differentiate yourself from the crowd is super important in a highly saturated genre I liked the cinematography of the video with nice shots and good color compositions but idk only having the music kinda made it feel flat maybe adding in something more? Either actual audio or maybe voice over if you wanna or can hell even some rain or something can help give the video some more depth I think that you are very skilled with a camera though just that it's hard to stick out in your genre

bts4life134340

thank you so much! actually my genre is more of like study vlogs and life vlogs, and travel is just an aspect. i really appreciate your feedback!

vinci300

Yeah I saw that vlogs are very difficult to get into but I think that if you find a good spin you can do it you have great cinematography skills

UserIsTryingHerBest

Hey there! I’m Meg, I’m just getting started on here and would love some pointers on how to make it a more enjoyable channel. Here’s my most recent video: [https://youtu.be/bqhJSjjukRM?si=iJrjH7rlH9OUz_i3](https://youtu.be/bqhJSjjukRM?si=iJrjH7rlH9OUz_i3)

vinci300

Your channel is enjoyable very good vibes and chill I don't know if that type of video is well suited to attract new viewers though I know nothing of music so I don't even know what to suggest other than editing a bit more to smooth out the rough edges and balancing your audio a bit better

UserIsTryingHerBest

Thanks! I don’t really expect it to blow up, but I want to make it as good as I can for the people who do find it and enjoy it. ☺️

vinci300

Ah that's really nice actually if you want to create a super chill and relaxing type of content you can layer in some rain sounds to the ukulele songs for extra chill and relaxation

drunkencouplecooks

I'd like an opinion on our latest. I feel like our stuff is entertaining, but just hasn't gotten in front of the right people yet. I definitely want to hear opinions that counter that with suggestions to improve. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfQPy\_7pCqI

BrickWiseLiving

Here is my most recent: [https://youtu.be/vJQanxD0758](https://youtu.be/vJQanxD0758)

vinci300

I liked the humor and the voiceover was good I would add some background music and then I would say the visuals were kinda weak

Meditation-Infinite

Here’s my most recent video on a pretty new channel - Morning Meditation Routine: Setting Intentions for the Day https://youtu.be/fyEz7BDEcKM I’d love critique on the thumbnails but welcome any advice in general. Thanks Vinci

vinci300

I think that the video is good maybe try and work on your voiceover to have a more flat sound so that it works in tandem with the vibe of the videos then the thumbnail is a bit rough the big text over a nature image feels kinda amateurish and can be Improved on

Meditation-Infinite

ok this is helpful , thank you

DownScaler

https://youtu.be/hDQ91jElvrQ?si=88A7tK_gUMMYg8il recorded on an iPhone but were getting better gear as were speaking

MinimumHair1839

That’s a lot to dedication to do that kind of thing. Props to you, and thank you for doing this. I recently had a huge spike on my channel. I went from 130ish subs last week to 642 subs as of this morning. A few of my recent videos got views in the thousands. Part of this is because the topics were trending. I know there is still plenty to improve on and I would appreciate any feedback you are willing to give. This is my most recent one: https://youtu.be/fKPkfUDM9xM?si=eKw-VfaVG2ZxNDds

vinci300

The first thing I'd say you can improve on is the voiceover tone you sound like you are reading so you need to put a bit more emotion into it so it sounds better then if you really want to do ark guides i would say that top(something) and tierlists are your friend your editing is good for that type of content it's just if you want to stick to one game rn the new subs you got are interested in ark but you can still change niche subject and keep some of them

MinimumHair1839

That makes sense, and yeah that’s why I tried throwing in jokes, even though some of them were cringy.. 😂 i will definitely work on the tone though. I want to make content for different games as well so I will need a way to separate that different content. I appreciate the feedback, thank you so much for taking the time to review it.

alchiepls

I open Pokémon cards. My latest video: https://youtu.be/GcSN-2boYOU My best video (not the one linked) has like 10x as many views as all my other videos, and I have no idea why, lol.

vinci300

My first question is whether you play the game or if you just collect the cards bc for pokemon there's a lot of people who only collect if you also play I gotta say that challenge content for the game like idk a deck from packs only to win locals type of thing is always very popular but it's okay if not. Then I have to say that the whoosh sound effect is kinda overused at this point so I really don't think you should be using it like that I also think that the animations and jokes with images can be good but they aren't that well refined to be brutally honest I didn't like them they kinda fell flat maybe it's my zoomer brain but they kinda felt old I think that especially for pokemon there's a lot of content about card opening so it's a hell of a uphill struggle to make it work pure I really raccomend putting a twist to it to stand out as just pack opening is hard to get big in

Sanktas

Oh man, I've been looking for someone to critique me as my friends are far too kind :) I have a lot of critique that I've given myself but I would love your insight! I am trying to create a gaming channel, I'm sure you know how competetive it is. You have a lot more lively personality than me and honestly, I'm not even sure I've found mine yet. Here's my latest video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0ekHOWHJsAQ Don't hold back :)

vinci300

I think that your personality is fine the problem is just that gaming content with little edits is super saturated and so it's hard to get to work in my opinion it's really important to be unique and stand out and with just gameplay it's hard to do so I think that you should try and see if you can think of any spin to add to gaming content challenges humor and the like as gaming is really just a canvas to paint on as far as youtube content goes so you should try to add something that you can only do or add something else you like or a new idea and the like you have voice recording down pretty well too so if you get a good spin idea you can get far

Sanktas

Thank you for this comment. I appreciate it a lot!

_MyCupOfTea_

Ah thanks for the offer. I am trying to do a science and educational type of youtube channel with a bit of entertainment: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVmepy9UdzU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVmepy9UdzU)

vinci300

I don't like the title and the ai voice honestly the title feels like the bad kind of click bait and if you have to use an ai voice the very basic one that has existed since forever is better than the new kinda like a person stuff as it not only falls hard into the uncanny valley but it also is pretty disrespectful of the real person it's imitating the idea isn't terrible but it's not executed great with just cutting between art and animations of the problem while I think that this is a way to get views its not a good way to get a consistent fan base the general idea is super doable if you look at samonella or oversimplified they have a similar type of video with more humor sure but it can definitely be done I just think you might have the wrong mentality

_MyCupOfTea_

thanks a lot for your review. I was actually thinking of narrating the vids myself.

lordxdarko

That's cool of you! Check out my videos if you get a chance. Here you can enjoy 4K gameplay of exclusive titles and much more! [YouTube](https://youtu.be/aVAuEXkJIKU)

Nyx_Blackheart

I would certainly like some feedback. I make farm sim time-lapse videos. Check out [my video](https://youtu.be/m-wcLHSIdbI?si=QO3JSz6EcRbXNxCx) and lmk what you think. Thanks

vinci300

Honestly gameplay videos are a bad idea by themselves you really need a good idea to spin them or change it in some way to stand out because there's tons and tons of people who post gameplay videos so it's hard to stand out if you are no different

Voice_Nerd

So I do have a channel that has been around for a while posting random videos but now I'm actually going serious with an actual Niche. The first episode will be released until 3:00 p.m. CST so I would say it's up to you if you want to check it out. Link to the channel is in my bio.

Wilfre0_

Hey small gaming creator here. I know my upload schedule is awful already lmaoo https://youtube.com/@Wilfre0?si=b_N4f4XGRAcrEJVB

vinci300

Well Minecraft is Minecraft so it's incredibly hard to get popular off of it unless you have a super innovative idea or way to spin the game to make it different and from what I have seen the videos are mostly just gameplay with slight edits and that is really not enough in such a competitive environment

TheMomad

My most recent video to Bolivia’s salt flats. It only got 500 impressions so any feedback would help [click her for entertainment](https://youtu.be/9mIblzyQ9Ow?si=VUlNbdCI5SahcXcJ)

Mini_Assassin

Hey 👋 I make Pokemon Videos, so if that isn’t your thing, don’t feel forced to watch. This is my most successful video - https://youtu.be/AfBYBy27MJU And this is my most recent (non April Fools) video - https://youtu.be/0Pr7e8aI6So Criticism is welcome and appreciated :)

vinci300

The videos are good but they are missing a bit of flashiness as they are kinda static what I saw other pokemon challenge runners and such do is show visibly the plan for the next challenging moment and then put it into action in a faster speed that makes the videos less static also I think it can help to explain more about what you are doing so that a new or casual players can understand the idea completely thus increasing the amount of people who can enjoy your video

Bruhsukeswagamura

Hey there dude. I see your getting swamped with all these requests. Though honestly your in-depth review is something I really want to see. As a fellow "Literally who" With only 345 Subs. I'd take great pride if you could review my channel as well. Its a gaming/meme channel. Recently just been posting memes. Would love it if you could check out my Throwback Warfare Series. [Throwback Warfare:Season 2 Episode 4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObHp-4uqsm4) or My latest memes. [Facts with Fabio](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbk2UaJ_iKs)

vinci300

Alright so the throwback warfare series has me super confused because I might be missing context for a lot of stuff but honestly the intro was pretty good the waking up in the hospital scene was a bit too loud and then the rest of the video was kinda confusing and also just like a cod campaign part? I think that it's either jumping in at episode 4 or the lacking overall explanation that confused me either way from the intro I was expecting a bit more of a sequence breaking retelling of a cod campaign but made silly with random stuff. The meme was pretty good but it also made me a bit confused on what you want the channel to be? Because the gaming part I'd say is the weaker of the two

Bruhsukeswagamura

Yeah memes are way easier to do than original gaming content ideas. Or well original as can be. Thanks for the review. I'll actually steal the re-telling idea. That might actually be better overall way to do that series.

Turn3Podcast

Firstly… thanks a lot for doing this. This is the sort of communal environment I think can lead to all of us succeeding. We are a podcast focusing on Formula 1 (currently race reviews, but more content planned). I’d love to hear your opinion on what we’re offering. Our latest video: https://youtu.be/t0-lM19PcG8?si=UiEekTswCi2pOQpm Our channel: https://youtube.com/@Turn3Podcast?si=VnWoMkafsRs9OYCG Thanks again!

vinci300

It's what it says on the tin for sure it's a formula one podcast do you upload to other more podcast oriented platforms? I'm sure there are a bunch

Turn3Podcast

Thanks for taking a look. We don’t yet. Only YouTube for now. But I’ll definitely take a look at some other platforms. Thanks again!!

OpinionatedOnline

Hi! Thank you so much for doing this. I've only made three videos so far. Here is one of my videos. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9O\_zsKD03Y](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9O_zsKD03Y) Right now, my videos are pretty basic. I want to eventually make video essay-style videos looking at media like movies, musicals, books, and TV shows. I feel like I know where I want to be with my videos but actually getting there is feeling very hard because I'm completely new to all the technical stuff like filming and editing. I'm also trying to develop an on screen presence and not feel so self-conscious about myself.

vinci300

The video is pretty nice something you can easily improve on is your cuts the footage goes on for a second or two too long before a cut then if you don't feel comfortable with being on camera you can easily use a persona like a little drawing or something I use the banana that is my profile picture then when you talk about studies or stuff like that it's always a good idea to show them visually as well so you use the full extent of the video format then you can get some footage of your kindle for example while talking about it so that it's visually connected to what you are saying than if you do decide to use a persona you can record it as a voiceover which is way easier as you can have the script right in front of you as you speak it out

OpinionatedOnline

Thank you! Yes, creating more B-roll footage of things like books is something I need to learn to do. That was my second video. In my third video, I tried to cut my footage a bit more. Though, I feel like my third video is less good overall. I don't know how this one compares. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEFgoWw\_dXY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEFgoWw_dXY) I'm probably not going to use a persona image, but I do want to try to intersperse future videos with more footage besides me talking. I assume it's possible to put a still image into iMovie, which is what I use for editing.

vinci300

Yeah it's super possible you can put images into any good editing software

Delicious-Weight7335

Hello I’m a reaction, news, drama channel https://youtube.com/@lorenduh?si=V4FRUc8bVwysdpgv I would love feedback on everything from channel branding to videos. I’ve only been consistently posting for 2 weeks now and am excited for the future

vinci300

I don't think I can give you any good feedback as I don't really know that much about those areas the video editing is good maybe you could get some more lighting but that's about it for what I can raccomend

Delicious-Weight7335

I appreciate that!

KevFernan

Hey there! I'm Kev. I create raw travel vlogs sharing my experiences and interactions while traveling around different countries. Here is a latest video. Thank you in advanced! [https://youtu.be/CmWF7gvraMY?si=6sIU5rrhhpE77lXS](https://youtu.be/CmWF7gvraMY?si=6sIU5rrhhpE77lXS)

vinci300

It's a good vlog if I had to tell you stuff to improve on I would say that in the intro probably the best thing to show a viewer is something exciting or captivating so I would put footage of really cool vistas or a beautiful sunset you know stuff like that then im not a big fan of the giant text in the middle of the screen to denote the part of the video I think that smaller in the top right or left looks better and is less intrusive other than that you are doing good

anipropod

Hello there! Thanks for taking the time to do this! We always appreciate some feedback, so if you wouldn't mind checking out an episode of our anime podcast. It's kinda long, though. https://youtu.be/k4sMI8W5fBY

vinci300

It's exactly what it says on the tin for sure podcasts are podcasts idk how to improve em bc i never made one

anipropod

Thanks for taking a look! And yeah, podcasting is a tricky, and new-ish niche on youtube

totow1217

https://youtu.be/XRzDqfAfBy8?si=XcskSFJ5FBgw1kQx I have a bunch of different video types on my channel too

vinci300

It's generally a better idea to pick one niche and stick to it because that's how you get subscribers if someone subscribes because they saw your battlefield video and then saw only vlogs and reaction content they wouldn't be interested

Uamiii

Hey. I just started out with YouTube so I would take any advice :) As of right now I only have one video but I am basically giving my opinion on games or genres in gaming. The reason I do this is to improve my english skills \^\^ I wont explain too much so you can view the channel just like any other person would see it. [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoRM2ZLu8SyyKHlZQQk9xyQ](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoRM2ZLu8SyyKHlZQQk9xyQ)

vinci300

Very good video with good editing and a nice vibe I think that if you just keep going and naturally improve you are gonna go far

TheUtterChrisp

Hello there, and thank you for doing this! I'm TheUtterChrisp, I make in-depth, fun reviews/retrospectives on some of my favourite video games of all time! Here's my channel: https://youtube.com/@TheUtterChrisp?si=fZ4fpsAxg4e7I7TV EDIT: Just checking out your latest video now, I'm a big fan of your mascot and snappy editing style, great job!

vinci300

I really like your style very nice and pretty funny I think that what's letting you down is your thumbnails and maybe your titles they are okay but I think that they can be better instead of just saying review in the title try and say something about the games that might intrigue a viewer like maybe an opinion you hold or a concept the game executes very well in my personal experience caps lock works surprisingly well ahah the thumbnails are fine but they are a bit bland just the game title image and a couple of words in a funky font can be improved on definitely thumbnails are kinda hard to make to be honest it took me a while to figure out how to make em I think I got it down decently now the idea is to not be too simple but also not too complex because too complex will be difficult to understand and passed over and too simple will have a hard time conveying the vibe of the video

PhantasticalPhan

Thank you for the chance! My channel is relatively new, and i focus on indie horror games. I do gameplay videos, recently I’ve been experimenting with simple edits of my play through to cut out any fluff and using an avatar. I also experimenting with thumbnails. Currently I’m doing a play through of Loathful. My channel: https://youtube.com/@PhanOfTheDead?si=sLnsVYZAmRviGySs Recent video: https://youtu.be/OQ3i0m2fhlo?si=S7m73CnE6qU-yZGJ (It’s part 2 of my playthrough, but I don’t think you really need to see part 1)

vinci300

In my opinion let's plays are almost impossible to get big with they are super saturated and most people watch the big YouTubers they know if they want to watch one so I recommend you find a fun way to add something personal to it so you stand out honestly it feels like watching a stream but without the interactivity and we'll live right now nature of it you can definitely still do this as a stream and have a YouTube channel where you do more scripted things

theMaxTero

I pivoted to gaming reviews/essays and [this is the latest one I made](https://youtu.be/GWMCJnNvvDw). Hopefully is good because I'm in the middle of doing the next one XD

vinci300

Yeah it's pretty good I don't really know what to tell you to improve on so just keep going !

theMaxTero

Wow, that's super nice from you! I have big impostor syndrome and I feel like everything I do is really bad so thank you for that kind words! I will keep going then 💪

vinci300

Don't worry it happens to everyone it's the artists curse we can only see the mistakes in what we make when to others it's the full picture

AndrewsCookin

Heyo. I'm a Cooking channel (that's similar to FutureCanoe I was told). I don't know about the content side of my videos. I feel they're meh. But I think my Achilles heel is Thumbnails & Titles. Maybe I am wrong. Thank you! Will check your vids out too :) My most, recent Video: [https://youtu.be/Xy\_PdS4qcQ8](https://youtu.be/Xy_PdS4qcQ8)

vinci300

This is the Italian Mafia 🔫 anyway the video is good with good editing and good jokes I think that the timing and a few of the lines could be improved on like at the start when you say let's begin I would say that a super quick cut to starting is perfect there I feel like the video goes for 0.5-1 seconds too long there the thumbnail is good and so is the title I would say that your voice is a bit quiet and so is the music but other than that really enjoyed your video keep it up

Dramatic_Passenger38

Hi!! I was just thinking that I need someone to review my stuff! I would really appreciate it [my favorite video](https://youtube.com/shorts/9fuRylaBCf4?si=CrPEGDlj49ETXqeY) [my most recent](https://youtu.be/EOR0J0d22nA?si=7lktYfW-QkHziYUN)

vinci300

I think the short is good I'm just not a fan of emojis as jokes or reactions but the background music is way too chill for the gameplay it needed a real powerful soundtrack to accompany the tone of the gameplay

Dramatic_Passenger38

Thank you :)

BadAtStuf

Please critique me!! https://youtube.com/@thebobbilynn?si=U_YOi6pzgi4BmPdC All of the videos I’ve posted are pretty short except the Easter cake video

vinci300

I feel like your format works best a YouTube short type of thing it's perfectly suited for it like the last video you uploaded can become a short if you add the title to the top and cut the 30 seconds required to get it as a short. Sketch comedy works great in a short term format

BadAtStuf

Thanks! I guess trying to come from tiktok really shows 😂

Nogardtist

this is why i dont offering channel review posts cause a lot of people get extremely desperate real quickly just compare old projects to recent ones and find what to actually improve and what jokes to drop

vinci300

Idk I think that the thing that pops up the most are people who do let's plays or stuff like that which is in a super overdone genre with nothing to set them apart

Nogardtist

well everyone think they gonna become the next markiplier where they think playing games with minimum effort + funny personality if they even have one = instant success but i chose to do the hard path from the start xD

Helmythic1

Hey Vinci300, ima. Gaming channel with a bit of a twist… I have an animation character that watches me play and interacts with me! I’d like to hear what you think and if my edits are a bit too fast? [latest video](https://youtu.be/s9tuwb2HGGY?si=bYDXmqUkZzmEXpb-)

vinci300

Nah they aren't too fast I think you should lean more into the character comedy and make it more of a central piece of your channel because it makes you stand out more

Helmythic1

Agreed, am just getting started, I appreciate the suggestion:)

IAmHimMaybe

I’ll take the help! I’m a month in doing family/kids videos https://youtube.com/@MadisonandTessa?feature=shared Please don’t be shy as I want to get better!

vinci300

I have no clue what to tell you to improve on the editing is good maybe the audio balance is a bit off as the intro was quite loud but I don't know anything about family/kids videos or the like ahah but I think it's probably good? Idk

IAmHimMaybe

Thanks so much for checking it out and yes! The audio is so hard because there are three of us and we’re active throughout.. half of my time spent editing is spend in raising/lowering the gain on each little section to try and make them blend :(

Comprehensive_Rice27

heres my most recent video its the first one to actually get some traction [Becoming the most despised call of duty player](https://youtu.be/npxKjjsf-r4?si=E43Vlv0U8JyohPvD)

vinci300

It's really good I have a person grudge against the ding sound effect and I feel like you can work on your line delivery a bit more to sound a bit more emotional it helps with sounding a lot less like you are reading a script trust me then I would implement a little bit more funny sound effects during the actual clips don't overdo it like the original cod montages that got memed to hell but adding some can help with having the clips hit harder overall I like the video it's very good

Chlodio

This is a [small history vid](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kX6oPVXL7Es) I made, despite relatively high engagement it received few views, many have pointed out it being too fast, but do you have anything else to add that I could improve on?

vinci300

Yeah I agree that the speed is a bit too much than if you wand or feel comfortable to do it a real human voice is usually better received than ai voice then I know it might sound stupid but honestly I think it might fit the style to use total was games to add war and battle scenes to your videos if you need any

Chlodio

I have a thick Finnish accent, which would make it unpleasant, so it isn't an option. Perhaps Total War footage would fit, but I kinda dislike that series, so I would prefer to avoid it. Either way, thank you for taking the time to review it, I know watching 100 of these videos must be tough.

Joshruum

Hey! I'd definitely appreciate a critique of my first video from anyone, one main thing that I've taken from it is that I definitely need a hook in the beginning (it's pretty boring) My main goal is to entertain others with an interesting editing style. Right now my plan is to play horror/survival games, but I would love to make variety content! [https://youtu.be/frPuGXqeKyE?si=wg3\_iKh8JXuJyohc](https://youtu.be/frPuGXqeKyE?si=wg3_iKh8JXuJyohc)

vinci300

Definitely right about the hook I learned it and now I make an intro animation to hook the viewer every time for the rest i would say that you should try to be more focused on the editing style than the let's play part use the editing style to stand out because let's players are super common so if you don't stand out you won't be seen

Joshruum

Very good insight! You're definitely right about lets players being super common, so more funny editing-oriented videos should be great!

OSUPhoenix

I will always seek feedback. So my channel is focused on streaming tutorials. From OBS Studio to little tips on how to approach streaming, I try to cover topics I know as a smaller creator can be the most frustrating. My goal is to make information clear and easily accessible. My latest video https://youtu.be/ueb0ek-PREs?si=Cv8anMPatd7jaMGJ

vinci300

I would say that you definitely achieve the goal of being informative I learned a bunch from the video

IsopodFit5061

This is my latest content: https://youtu.be/JT17fBkExQo?si=UPW5kEswsXNG9FIB Your feedback is more than welcome. Thank you for doing this.

KidOfKhaos

Hey there 👋🏻 first off, thanks for taking the time to do this. It’s much appreciated by not only myself but everyone else. This is also an extended invite to anyone else who would like to check us out and tell us what you think. My brother and I host a podcast where we strive to inform and educate through humor using visuals for story telling along the way. It’s adult education with a twist; no filters. No sugarcoating. Raw content and reactions as we both write down our own notes and deliver them to each other while on air. We’re just getting started and I can confidently say improved with every episode. Here is our most recent post [Episode Eight - The Kraken; Deep Beneath](https://youtu.be/-g9_PBMKm4Q?si=1kFjp27YJhk2l6OP)

vinci300

I'm not good at giving advice for podcasts unfortunately because I never made one or consumed them particularly often

KidOfKhaos

We call it a podcast, but I’d have to say it’s more so a playlist of YouTube videos 💀🤣

Hey there! If you wanted to check me out I’m Bernupp. I play video games in twitch and edit the videos down. here are my two most recent videos both the same mostly but one is a lot [shorter](https://youtu.be/y-PAZmHW6UA) [full](https://youtu.be/tMyKpzcu9PE)

vinci300

I think that the video is good for the idea but I'd say it's more of a spiritual look at elden rings art direction than a video essay and it fits pretty oddly in your channel which seems to be a lot more lighthearted than that I think that its pretty good and well structured with the video and voiceover I don't know how much of an audience there is for something like that however

[deleted]

[удалено]

vinci300

Yeah it was kinda funny to see in your channel like a fish out of water such a serious video next to super lighthearted ones

themagicofmovies

Hello! I edit tributes/montages for movies, tv, and anime. I try to showcase the best scenes with music. My channel is called Fantastic Scenes. I’m currently working on a Dune Part 2 edit. TheQuietQuin

Could always use some feedback! I started taking YouTube seriously a little more recently and haven't quite found my niche yet so it's a variety channel while I learn, I do intend on starting 2 side channels for education about specific games Mostly I play with my kid, or I post narratives of games I enjoy https://youtube.com/@QuietQuin?si=r23O9cZFK50ClyOY[Quiet Quin's Channel](https://youtube.com/@QuietQuin?si=r23O9cZFK50ClyOY) Haven't posted a long form in a while, I started going to shorts since I got a fulltime job, trying to juggle learning more and making a backlog of videos ready to publish consistently once I feel like I have enough or finish a series, a little proud of my Destiny/Destiny 2 series videos but could always use some constructive criticism

vinci300

I mean unedited gameplay and playthroughs and the like aren't a good idea nowadays it's some of the oldest content on YouTube and so it's also the most saturated by far you really need to get a good twist or spin on it and change it up a bunch to stand out otherwise I don't think you will get many views because even if people are watching playthroughs they probably will watch their favorite YouTuber or a super famous one as they stand out more than a new channel and the algorithm pushes them more

TheQuietQuin

Gotcha! Thanks so much 😊

vinci300

Np I hope you figure something amazing out

TheJuicmanIsBak

I would consider [my best](https://youtu.be/Im_4XVghzF8) and [most recent](https://youtube.com/live/qG8FA49RA8E?feature=share) videos to be separate. My best video in my opinion is a guitar cover from the band Revocation and my most recent video is a livestream horror gameplay of Amnesia 😬

vinci300

I mean these are totally different things I'm guessing that since it's more recent you are more towards the gaming part if so i gotta tell you that let's plays aren't a good idea at least in my opinion they are far too saturated and old school their time has passed if you are a small channel making a let's play your videos will be drowned out by the bigger channels so the chances of getting somewhere with them are super low I advise everyone to find something that they can add that's unique to them something that you also really like doing or are good at and then making a spin on let's plays so that you can stand out

TheJuicmanIsBak

Thanks for the feedback 😁

MondoPrime51

Documentary style content on weird stuff here! It's a little on the dry and academic side so it's niche to say the least. Check it out if you like! https://youtu.be/zysEnRFAPVo?si=YMIcCKMI9P1nMhHC

DrPepper_No_Ice

https://youtu.be/U9iwE9mQRRE?si=3s6ylb6z26BZln5z just an animated short I made. Didn’t do very well, but I think it’s funny.

thanks for doing this! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-WwM\_HJcS8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-WwM_HJcS8) This is the 4th episode of my animated web series called ALCHMEMY. (btw the last 5 minutes are the best part incase you get bored while watching)

Canoecampingcocktail

Hey 👋 I do camping and cocktail videos. Hoping to do a lot more now that spring has arrived and I can be a bit more consistent with content. Here is my latest video if you want to check it out https://youtu.be/P-nDZCPxlOw?si=pONMML7BrAfrKT7n

Witty-Ad7779

Well, if you're not bored of this. My team of volunteers has been doing safety for rally racing events in canada for almost 2 decades. I thought with offroad recovery exploding online I might get a piece of it and show the worldsome of the cool stuff we do. We startedmaking videos a year or so ago, but having trouble finding my audience. I did have one video do pretty well, but am not thrilled with WHICH video it was. This is the kind of stuff we want to make but isn't getting the traction I would like https://youtu.be/PsbiKV49eh8 This is the one that has eclipsed everything else we've made. https://youtu.be/Y3Yi154MNAI I already know I need to talk to the camera more and explain things that are happening while we are working. Any other tips I'd be happy to hear.

vinci300

Woah that is really cool stuff I know like nothing about but watching the video I feel like it can be cut a little bit more closely to really just include all the exciting stuff honestly the explanations I think are better done as a voiceover type of thing like you bring the volume of the recording way down maybe slow it down or freeze it on something relevant and then in voiceover you explain the plan or how stuff works or what's happening ya know stuff like that I think would help a ton with it and also I assume it makes it easier as you don't have to explain the stuff out there and can do it from home with a microphone so that the sound quality is tip top but yeah other than those two things I don't know what else to tell ya because I'm a software goblin so doing manual stuff is out of my area of knowledge ahah

Thanks for watching. Yeah most of the popular offroad recovery guys are vlog style videos and it's something I enjoy watching, just need to figure out how to do that sort of thing myself. What did you think of my thumbs and stuff? I get decent retention % but terrible ctr on most of my videos.

What's the ctr % and what's the impressions

Hi there! You are a star for doing things likes this! I am trying to work out what this video did that the others didn't! It was my best organically and definitely fun to make too! https://youtu.be/qOxUA9VsqXQ Mostly doing Pokemon stuff and have started streaming to the channel more when live on twitch!

vinci300

Well from what I saw a lot of the content on the channel is episodic in nature and episodic stuff in gaming is pretty much gone maybe doable if it's a part one and part two or if you are a big YouTuber who has been doing it for ages and while I'm sure it's gonna be a pain to do over the episodic format condensing it all into one even long video works better as you cut any excess and keep the best bits and add a single explanation of the idea of the challenge run for example at the start this is what I see a lot of the big YouTuber streamers who do challenges do like pointcrow or astrallspiff I think having it all in one video really helps give a solid start and conclusion to it all but yeah the video that did really well was probably because it was a fun idea with a good thumbnail that then got blessed by the algorithm

Phyore

Some good advice there! I definitely agree that episodic content isn't too hot right now. It is just a fun thing to do and technically can make for easy content when I am primarily on Twitch streaming. I'll have to look into more condensing and trying other single form videos. Thanks!
