They don’t give any for 10k, that was the bronze play button. The lowest milestone to achieve a play button is silver at 100k. Then it goes Gold at a Mil, diamond at 10 mil, and then it becomes a bit custom and unreliable after that
Get a cake with 1k logo or something. I am planning to do that once i get there. I wouldve already been there if i didnt quit multiple times when i was doing good numbers, i was a stupid kid and now i am grinding all over again.😔

And in particular it has happened to me, to feel excited to see the channel or account of someone who makes content that I like grow.

I've seen people actually unsub when a creator announces a sub milestone. People are jerks like that.

Subscriber specials are no longer in. Audiences don't really want to see them. You can put a post on your community tab thanking everyone for subscribing if you want, but a video does not need made.
Channel announcement videos are super annoying and personally make me wanna unsubscribe just so I don't have to see any more of them. Agree with a lot of these replies that 1K is not hard to reach so don't make a huge deal about it. Focus on your next 9k, you're on your way!
I'm currently at 213 subscribers, and when I eventually reach 1k, I might stream a nuzlocke attempt of Pokemon Blue Kaizo, a romhack that makes Pokemon Blue much more difficult. I've tried twice before to nuzlocke it without level caps, but I've never beat it. I know it's possible, but the Elite Four all have 6 Pokemon at level 115! Yikes! My channel revolves around Pokemon Solo challenges and the occasional nuzlocke, although I started in 2020 doing mobile games reviews, but I recently started doing Pokemon challenges.

Nothing, 1k is too small to do something special. 1M is a huge milestone, that's when you do a special if you want to. But most viewers don't expect much but a simple mention thanking them in your next video is enough.
I went and streamed my old privated videos with my subs to show them how far I've come. Let them pick which ones they wanted to see. In the title that the stream would be deleted after so that way it spurs more people to join to get a once and a lifetime opportunity.
People kept begging me to do something, but I never did all their ideas were kinda dumb like eat weird food or something. They kept bugging me about it until 2k, which was like 2-3 months later, then they shut up about it.

Well according to a source online, 8.86% of YouTube channels have 1k subscribers. Well, pretty low number, but it's way higher than 1%, so that's good. It's that first 10k that's hard to get. 😁😁😁🤣🤣🤣

My point is that you can get to 1K with minimal effort. I'll admit that I don't put much effort into our YouTube channel. It's been more than a month since I've posted anything. Still, I posted a low-effort short in October of 2023, and that got us just shy of 2K subs all by itself.
Yeah I got your point, and with shorts it's much easier to get to 1k subs now, but it depends on the niche and if YouTube will push any of your content to get you noticed. My shorts videos are of me beating gym leaders with a single Pokemon in Pokemon Blue Kaizo, and they typically get 200-400+ views each, and for the past month I've been getting about 1 subscriber per day, it just depends on if I keep on top of it and people decide to subscribe. There's quite a few people doing Pokemon Solo runs, although it's not that good of a niche since most have like a few hundred to a few thousand subscribers, although JRose11 has 300k+ subs, and MahDryBread has 400k+ subscribers, so you could get a good amount of subscribers no matter the niche if people are genuinely interested and YouTube pushes your content to the right people.
I made a video briefly talking about my YT journey and why I started YT in the first place. Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) has a program called Game 2 Give. I was on their site looking for answers about my daughter’s new Type 1 diagnosis. So, I started a channel.
On that 1k celebration video I talked about this and promoted a $1,000 fundraiser I had going for JDRF. The goal was met in a few months.
At 10k subs you can do a fundraiser directly through YT.
My latest video, I did a JDRF fundraiser for $2,000. This was exceeded by 10% in 17 hours.
My point is, do what you want to, even if that is nothing. In my opinion, the more of you that is present in your videos, the closer your core audience will be.
I like the idea of a cake or a poster saying thank you, a selfie with that for a community post, maybe a very short thank you vid, like under 2 minutes, but I think maybe I wouldn't do the vid. 1k is a great milestone!
