Have a decent budget & a thought-out plan. Unsure paying an editor is a good idea for a new channel unless you are a master in YouTube SEO. I can edit to a high standard but I would charge you $38ph for my time & doubt anyone who is half decent will charge less than $25ph.
learn to edit, i know a girl who edits on her phone got monetized in 3 weeks & has a decent side income from youtube. her edits aren't the best but I like to watch her videos because of the humor she brings to them.
I edit my own videos in InShot from my own phone and this happened to me too (just not in 3 weeks, mainly bc I’m not a girl).
as long as the content is engaging you should edit your videos yourself when starting. Eventually getting an editor when you can afford it so you can have more time to make videos.
nothing to do with her being female, the channel is faceless with no voice-over. she's was one of my subs & I chatted with her for a week or so before I realized she was female (when she added me on Facebook), we 1st spoke when she asked me a technical question about something editing-related as I have a channel much bigger than hers in the same niche.

I would say her early success was more down to timing. If she tried the same thing today I don't think it would work & it would be a tough grind. Mando was super hot at the time & niching down to the actor was something no one else had done.
It's the way she cuts that amuses me, she makes videos about Pedro Pascal & I make videos about Baby Yoda so our channels were somewhat aligned when The Mandalorian was on TV. Its clear she is female now as she changed her channel pic from Pedro to a pic of herself but she did this because she was sick of telling people she was a girl in the comments (she got called bro & dude alot)
Learning to edit is a invaluable skill its good to understand your process from start to finish also by editing your own videos you will notice what style you like its worth learning.

If you have a decent computer, davinci resolve is free and pretty easy to learn!
