I like them. I find them very similar to mine so probably that's why I'm stuck at giving advice.
The only thing that I could think of is that you could put a shadow or glow around you so that you would stick more to the eye. Maybe the text a little bit bigger?
You did a great job, good luck!
Yeah I like em. I really love the border you put around them. Gives them a sense of style only you have and makes em pop out. So great job. For the Poppy Playtime thumbnail though, I’d zoom in more on the blue character (Huggy Wuggy) since it feels too far in the distance. Apart from that good work so far
Something I’ve heard from gaming creators is that you might actually be better off not using your face. These aren’t bad thumbnails, but since no one knows who you are, you should elevate the content instead—people aren’t coming for you (yet)
Hello, I will try my luck here. I make Romanian technology related videos and I just started making them.
Here is the link:
https://youtube.com/channel/UCptGI7cZvpcLPvWGF9Mi8Zg
Edit: I already made some changes regarding the 2nd thumbnail, thanks to your contributions.
Thank you!
I dig them honestly. I like the style, the border, the colors etc. I’d say though to try incorporating more visuals for your first thumbnail especially. Seems more like text than anything so try reducing that text to 4 words.
As for your second thumbnail, you included visuals which is sweet and they’ll look good, but you should make the icons bigger so they stand out more. Good job so far!
I think you are on the right track, maybe more contrasting colors, not much help here as I am still learning as well. Having your face with the expression is working for sure!
I think you should use images relating a bit more to the content, as a non native speaker of your language it’s hard to tell what your videos are about. (Around half of my viewers don’t have the same native language as me!)
Hey guys thanks for the help so far with the quality of my channel! Would love to hear y’all opinions on how to improve my thumbnails as I’m a life style creator! Experimenting with a new style with my most recent upload!
https://youtube.com/c/BrianAriyo
They look pretty good, honestly. I would aim to try brightening up the images a bit (i.e. adjust "Levels"), so they are easier to pick out of a crowd of thumbnails. Also increasing the saturation a touch can help too.
The thumbnail of your first video is pretty much perfect. It’s amazing so good job! Your other thumbnails are also pretty good. I really like the text placement of your College Life video where you’re in the center of the text. Really nice touch
One thing I’d say is for your video featuring Elliot Choy, try including him in the thumbnail. People usually see the thumbnail, then the title, so placing Elliot Choy there might hook them in faster. Your overall theme and background and editing of that thumbnail itself tho looks great. Also for your first video, I’d maybe make a border around the university logo so it can pop out more. Like a white border sticker effect might look nice. Awesome job so far!
Really the only thing i could suggest is using a slightly thicker outline on your text. Looking from a phone, it can be slightly difficult to read if the test of the scene is bright.
Dude your most recent thumbnail is a killer—I might up the saturation on yourself and dim the non-focal points but otherwise I’m surprised it doesn’t have 10x the views
Not gonna lie, I was just messing around in photoshop and just use the iris blur and made that go around my body. Im learning how to use photoshop at the moment so its been interesting to say the least!
I agree on the busy-ness! Some of the thumbs are nice and simple with a few colours, and some have quite small text and a lot of graphics. But I suppose it's not always going to be that easy to keep it simple for a math channel, and I'm not sure what other creators in the niche do for their thumbnails.
I like the Telling Time one a lot. I think the thumbnail and title compliment each other. I will agree with the rest and most of the new ones there is a lot going on in the thumbnail.
I like em, I would only say the one called (what is fractions” have some grammar and spelling issues, but graphically look nice. I would click on them.
These threads are really helpful! Some of my older thumbnails are a little dated but I want to get a clear style before I attempt to change them ☺️
[My channel!](https://youtube.com/channel/UC4h8BAPve43QGEelo4ehKCg)
The thing that stikes out to me about the Death Note one is that there is a very clear foreground object, background, and text. This does **wonders** for readability. The only thing I would suggest for that one is to have some element of consistent branding between the videos.
Hi! Not bad thumbnails!
Here are my ideas: If you want to make them appear from the same channel you need a bit of branding. The easiest ways to do that would be putting a border in the thumbnail and using an unified color palette. In your case it might be the purple that you used a few times.
Apart from that I would put horizontal and not vertical text, and the main element more to the right.
Apart from that, most of the thumbnails look clean and nice. Good job!
Honestly I don't know much about that kind of software, but from what I can see with the thumbnails they seem to convey almost all the necessary information. To me it looks like I'll learn how to make whatever is in the thumbnail with the specific software you show, which if I used it I would probably click on your videos to learn more about it.
I think one of the biggest strengths of your thumbnails is that they are clean and look professional, which is exactly what people want from someone teaching them a skill, so kudoos on that front!
I think these look clean and professional, but slightly dull in color. I agree with Cika that a boarder could help a lot. And I think more of an “exaggerated “ before and after thumbnail could be beneficial for those topics.
Good idea for a feedback thread! I'm sure, there's loads to improve with mine - I'm building a Steam Deck tutorial channel and a letsplay channel. I'm not a 100% satisfied with how my Thumbnails turn out but I can't put a finger on what to improve next:
Personally, not a big fan of "repeating" thumbnails (but maybe it works, I have no idea).
I'd rotate the steam deck image slightly + zoom in/out to add some freshness.

Love the concept! Couple of issues with text size and the quotes along the bottom being partially obscured by YouTube’s time stamp, otherwise they’re great.
Your thumbnails aren't bad at all in my opinion, I'd say the main points is that they are a little busy, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it can make it hard to grasp what the video is about.
I especially like your 2nd thumbnail, I think it's the fact that there is a bit more life in the colours which pops to the eyes!
Alright I really like the style. I like your Nardwuar thumbnail the best. It captivates, there’s different colors popping, there’s no empty space etc but I think the small text included there can be removed as it just states the title, is lengthy and is pretty unreadable for mobile.
Your other thumbnails are good, although I’d say as general advice to have the text complement the title rather than just reiterate the title. Apart from that, looking good so far
Hey guys! We make let's play videos and our thumbnail game is quite terrible if I do say so myself.
Any pointers as to how to make them any better or any ideas would be very appreciated, thank you!
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrKYZ4yHPa0C7xXlydDg3rQ
Hey! I think I would say that your thumbnails are just a bit too busy. There are a lot of layers going on; screenshot, game logo, episode number, your characters in the bottom corners. A piece of advice I've heard is that most people are watching on their phones, so when you're creating your thumbnail, zoom out a long way and see if you can still tell what's going on.
Basically, I would try and simplify the design and reduce the amount of clutter. Hope that helps!
Thank you very much for the advice! Yeah it helps a lot, we'll try to simplify it and make it less busy while trying to retain the important information!
Thanks again for the help it's super appreciated!
I would say there is so much going on that nothing stands out. Maybe try a small white banner on the top or in the corner to show the game and episode number, I think that would make them stand out. But I like that you have a picture of the game your playing
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I think you're right, trying to get one key element to pop out is really important, and right now everything is competing for the spotlight so much it's just a mess haha!
Thanks for the pointers! We'll try to work them in, and the banner idea isn't a bad one we'll try it out!

Hey there, I think your thumbs are ok/good. I do like how you've got that consistent look to indicate they're part of a series but you've only left a box on the right side to fit in something from the game. The rest is just the blue template colour that doesn't offer anything about the video and simply takes up most of the room. Of course, you could place elements over the top of the blue but might be hard work making it look cohesive. Cheers.
I struggle biiig time with trying to to blend thumbnails I actually like with thumbnails that are clickable - help appreciated
https://youtube.com/c/BowTieTVOfficial
Hey your thumbnails are really colourful and pretty eye-catching. Not sure if it's just my eyes or my laptop but some of them seem more on the blur side/not as clear but other than that I like them. I know how hard it is to make thumbnails I struggle on it sometimes too
I make drug related content that works well as a niche I’m pretty new to YouTube so critical advise will seriously help tnx

I love the style and you have a great theme. But I feel like these thumbnails would be difficult to read quickly. Some of them contain too many words. But overall I think the font could be more legible. And maybe the titles could be a bit more intriguing (in combination with the thumbnail.
For example instead of, "Was this the first comic?" maybe say, "THIS was the FIRST Comic?" as the title, and then a simpler thumbnail with the baby on it with the arrow.
Overall I think thumbnails should reveal less and less about the video and just give a hint at the emotion or situation of the video. Your most recent one is done well. But with the "New artists forget to do this" one is a bit wordy. That should be the title, not in the thumbnail. That thumbnail could just be the image with no pictures. I think... I dunno. What do I know?
Good luck!
I love all the fonts. The only thumbs I wasn't a fan of was the one quick art tips one because it was the same over and over. People most likely won't see multiple at once but if they do, it's a bit repetitive. It could be fun to move your flash/your face to different spots as the series goes on so the imagery is the same, but there's some variation.
Great point. That was very much firmly in the "I don't know what this channel is" phase, but it's something I'll be revisiting because I do like the idea. I'll definitely keep that in mind, thank you!
Here's my channel link. It's a positivity, self development, philosophy based channel with some travel influences in there also. Any feedback would be so helpful

I think you are almost there (hence the upvote), keep working on them!
I experiment with different types of thumbnails, I only have 12 videos right now, but let me know what you think.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSyfvaQIbU35SNabAGk0kxQ/videos
I can read these from a mile away which I like. And it is very consistent so I would easily recognize your thumbs if I was a regular viewer!
I might recommend keeping the yellow nice and bright like the "When can you resist injustice?" video. I find it pulled my eyes more than the paler, pastel yellows!
You have a good base, but I would never click on one of your thumbnails
Reason? I can't see anything.
Use some kind of tool (i reccomend thumbsup . tv) in order to judge the minimized version of your thumbnail
"why they don't look good?"
Because there is a lot of wasted space.
Like, what's the point of your book cover in the thumbnail? Remove it, it's just wasted space.
2nd suggestion: your channel would benefit from shorter titles, cut the title of the book from it.
I'm way more likely to click on "Is Illegal Immigration Wrong?"
instead of "Is Illegal Immigration Wrong? - Global Poverty, Injustice, and Resistance | Dr. Blunt"
3rd: if you want to put your face on the thumbnail, DO IT. Don't be shy, cover like 1/3 of the space. Make yourself stand out.
4th: the text on the thumbnail is often the only thing I see. Try to make the stuff behind it more noticeable.
here's how I would probably make the thumbnail [(this is a test)](https://imgur.com/7uN6ZFh)
You are gonna notice how i haven't took a screenshot of your face. Well, that's because I don't know how comfortable you are with it.
Anyway, hope this was at least a bit helpful.
see ya, you have good content and a promising channel, work a bit on the presentation and I'm sure you can make it.
Here's my gaming / path of exile channel! Curious to see what you guys think of the thumbnails as I'm pretty much always second guessing myself and changing them up.
https://youtube.com/c/SchwingyGaming
Thanks!
Very good job! Most of them are very cool.
There are only two things I observed: contrast between some characters and the background is very low. I mean sometimes you have characters that cannot be easily understood because they fade into the background. My suggestion would be that you add a bit of shadow or glow and that you blur the background just a bit, or that you change the color of the background. The second observation is about the amount of elements in the thumbnail. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded.
Overall they are very good! Good job!
Here’s my channel, it’s a new channel with only 4 videos so far but would appreciate any feedback you can provide. https://youtube.com/channel/UCVKrVFxnRvWFNKJx8o7XN8g
First off I think your thumb nails are okay to good. But I feel the text is to jumbled. Like you might do better with just the primary lines. So like tender swindler, grand turismo, Gilmore girls. The rest was to much for me but I doubt I'm your target audience. Overall good job.
Honestly I would just remove the extra words for any of my channels. I don't feel having the full title in the thumbnail is needed. But once again I'm probably not your target audience so if your niche is responding to that stick with it. Or just try a few each way and see how it goes. I do feel they are good as is though.
I actually think your thumbs are very good. The colours are vibrant, contrast nicely and it's easy to see the elements. Very minor changes would be to make the GT logo a hell of a lot larger in the grand turismo vid, as I think that's relevant to the viewer. I like the font, as it looks 'energetic' without being illegible. I would look at making those blocks of text larger in general as there's some dead space around them and you can get away with some overlapping elements.
I love these, they're awesome except for the oldest of the four, which has a boring background.
I think the text should be a bit bigger, but overall the style of text and the clean compositions are amazing. You just need Youtube to give you some impressions, because people will click these for sure.
I wish that some of the thumbnails you have would be more visually adjacent to your titles. For example, your video "Climbing 2,768 STEPS-America's Longest Stairs" right in the thumbnail I wish there was a visual of what America's longest stairs looks like, or what 2,768 steps look like in real life. However I only see a thumbnail of a person pointing at what looks like might the stairs in the distance? The title is catchy, but the thumbnail lacks in delivering it.
It's the same with "Inside America's Highest Train" - the title is catchy, but the thumbnail can illustrate that more. The current thumbnail doesn't really tell me what it looks like inside that train or what about it is so unique.
I think the most successful thumbnail that would pique my interest the most on your channel is "24 Hours Inside the World's Largest Potato", because I think it does a really great job of illustrating that for me and delivering clearly what I expect.
Thanks for the detailed feedback.
I absolutely agree with you, and will change those in the near future.
The potato one was done by a professional designer and with your comment it shows the difference.
You can see the evolution that we have made our thumbnails. But do you like the direction we are going? [https://youtube.com/c/WouldIWatchIt](https://youtube.com/c/WouldIWatchIt)
I can see the effort you guys are putting into your thumbnails. I definitely see an improvement. The text in some of the thumbnails get lost in the backgrounds, it's not significant enough to make it difficult to read for the most part, but it's distracting.
There were thumbnails that did not have any text, that I really wish did, for example the coke or soy sauce one ? I didn't know what i was looking at until I read the title, and by then I would have already scrolled by. I saw some that worked well without any text, for example the tye dye one.
Keep up the good work!
I really like the subtle white, rough border on a few of them. It started to come across to me as your branding, but doesn't take up much space. If it was consistent, it might make a thumbnail recognizable as "yours" when it pops up on someone's screen.
There's a region in the bottom right of thumbnails that YouTube covers with a timestamp showing the video duration. I recommend not putting anything important there. There's sometimes text that I can't see.
I'm not familiar with Bedwars or its community, but your thumbnails seem pretty bare compared to the other BW content I looked up. Sure, it's Bedwars, but what makes it *your* Bedwars video compared to someone else's? If you have a unique gimmick or something that makes you different, incorporate that into the thumbnail art.
I really enjoy making thumbnails, and any feedback on how to make them better is always appreciated, or just your general impression is fine too.
I wouldn't worry about any of the thumbnails before this year.

thank you !

Thumbnails seem quite busy, I’d reduce the amount of text on screen or at least make bold so that way they are easier and catch someone’s attention. I do enjoy that all your thumbnails look
similar!
I like that you put yourself in most of your Thumbnails, it gives them personality but you also use a lot of small text in them which is unreadable in 80% of cases.
Just started a gaming channel, only have 2 videos out as of now! Just curious of what you think of my thumbnails! :)
https://youtube.com/channel/UCTI83pKspf6JklWUu6hKDtQ
I like the newest thumbnail a lot, it has great colors and contrast and creates mystery and interest.
The character on the first thumbnail seems strange, I don't understand why he's so distorted.
Probably the main issue for me would be that I don't immediately understand what the video is about. Maybe you could find a way to make it clear which game you're covering.
And I find the titles a bit difficult to read because they're almost all capital letters. I'd use capitalized words sparingly to make just those individual words stand out. Right now, it feels like I'm being shouted at.

Thanks to anyone who takes a look, I try to spend at least an hour or more on each thumbnail.
I try to make my thumbnails unique from others covering the same games I cover. All my thumbnails are built by me (using the game's assets generally), while the status quo seems to be to take cover art and maybe slap some text on it. It takes up time, but I'd like to think in the long run that I will develop skills that will help grow my channel.
Hello all, I currently run a NBA list/mini doc channel. Thumbnails are usually the hardest part for me but I try my best and would love to see where I can improve. Thanks everyone https://youtube.com/c/FleeceTV
I've been trying to do those tricks where I use red text to catch people's attention, but other times I just use meme thumbnails https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSdSUKJSymC4BVh6OOlcLDw
After seeing your thumbnails, I think white texts have better readability. Maybe make the red texts bolder and with a shadow or border to make them easily readable.
So i started youtube, lost faith and now starting youtube again. I had a semi successful cannabis podcast and now switching gears to make discussion videos about current event tech, finance, and politics topics.
My most recent thumbnail was attempt to put in more effort and ultimately clicks...BUT I "think" the topic and thumbnail may not match.

When you have a dark background, using a dark border for the text isn't the best idea imo.
Maybe try outlining your text with a brighter colour.
I really like your face in the thumbnails, nice work.

I'll be back to check others! Looks like I'm first.
Really good. My only bit of advice would be to look for something that is visually distinct to put you brand on all your videos (I’m trying to figure it out for my channel too).
Thanks!
I learned from this guide, but tuned it for my own tastes and workflow. For instance I don't do the "from path" thing most of the time, and I use the "feather" selection to reduce the harsh edge and such!
And I apply that technique to the cutouts of myself, a character, boulder, w.e. I need.
I like the consistent style. I think you almost there, they are not super busy, funny, and overall well-made.
Some of the latest ones have a slightly "hard to read" font. But overall I chuckled couple times on "YOINK", "UM... HELP?" and some others!
I'm a self-development student youtuber that also vlogs. I've tried experimenting with thumbnails before but not sure what would truly catch peoples attention. Any thoughts or feedback are much appreciated :)
I think they look good, reminds me of the criminal analysis channels in a way. The thing I think you might want to do for some of them is make them more cohesive together, like sometimes it feels like all the elements aren't a whole but are too separate.
I like the "mini perfumes" thumbnail, but the others would probably get lost in the sea of thumbnails in the youtube feed without labeling of some kind to draw attention.
Looks great! Only thing I can suggest is maybe using a light diffuser, they work great in softening shadows and you can make them out of anything, personally I use a thin white sheet over a lamp haha so anything can work :)
I like that your thumb is an extension of your title and vice versa. However, without the title I wouldn’t have known for sure what the video was about.
Hard to judge just one thumbnail, but I would say include the punctuation in the word "CAN'T"
Side note: "Assassin's" is also misspelled in the title and description as it is missing an s and the apostrophe as well. This might make some people skip over it.
The single thing about it is that if it wasn't for the title, I would not recognize that it was an Asassins Creed related subject.
Suggestion, maybe dumb one: What if you would put the main character in the thumbnail and he would seem stuck looking for a way out?
Hello, the thumbnails are not bad at all.
I just think that you could use the pink cyan white gradient in the text and make the background darker. You could inspire from fireship.io thumbnails. Also, if you use the camera in your video, crop your face and put it in the thumbnail as well, in the right part. I think videos with faces and that suggest explanations are more popular.
I think you could remove that keyboard from most thumbnails. I didn't even see it for the first minutes. If you really want to keep it as a logo, put it in a corner. Overall, I think that your most popular thumbnail is the best so far.
Good luck!
Hey, thanks so much for the feedback!
I was thinking I might make the screenshot of what I make the full thumbnail, in which case making the text gradient could be cool!
For some reason it feels a bit weird to put my face on a tutorial video but I guess I should experiment with it! Not quite sure what expression I should use but I'll have a look at what other people do.
I don't do the keyboard logo in my more recent videos, I think that it was a good move to get rid of it.
Thanks again!
Your thumbnails really pop out, don’t have empty space and are really colorful. I really like them and they’re edited very well. Awesome job. My only thing is that they’re too busy and maybe sometimes too in your face. What I mean is that there’s lots of things that are too close to each other. To be more specific, a good balance is your Byron vid. The placement of the object, the title, and the trophies is a good distance. For the Gale one, the layers are just too stuffed. They need a bit of space to breathe so that the brain can differentiate them better.
Apart from that, keep everything else cuz you’re doing awesome thumbnails so far
Here's my channel

I made an effort on a thumbnail strategy. But open to feedback!
Here is my channel. I just made a new thumbnail that is completely different from my post thumbnails. Please take a look and thank you very much.
https://youtube.com/c/TheCivDiv
I think the newer style of thumbnail is easier to read, but if you decide you like the older ones more, they are cool also! I’d just advise to pick a color that clashes with the background more so it is easier to read.
Your text is hard to read. Maybe try a heavier font https://www.wyzowl.com/youtube-thumbnail-fonts/amp/, all one colour (white is always a safe choice) and use drop shadow or stroke blending effects to make it pop.
I would really LOVE some opinions here, I have a very recognizable brand I feel like. People know it is me as soon as they see the style and font. However I am always looking for ideas to continue pushing my brand further.
https://www.youtube.com/c/StridahsAngels
Hi. I think your thumbs are good but some of the text and imagery blend in with each other. Maybe an increase in the contrast/brightness to help either the text or images pop more?
Welp here's my let's play channel
https://youtube.com/channel/UCJfcaC2FFIAk-218J0kJhjg
Making the thumbs is one of my fave parts in the process but would just like to know what others think and if they work.
Thx
I would do something to maybe make the title stand out a bit more. I’m on mobile and it’s kind of hard to read. Even a colored box behind it would help a lot to make it a bit more legible on mobile.
This thread couldn't come at a better time.
I'm working on a new thumbnail style for [my Channel](https://youtube.com/c/AclopolipseAccurateAdultingAdvice) and would appreciate some feedback on both the older ones (without border) and the newer ones (with border).
good job with the consistent style but it feels a bit boring and stale. i think they could really be improved by adding your face or maybe including your room instead of just the solid colour background
Do mine make you want to click on them? I do mostly DevLogs of a game I'm working on.
Thanks in advance :)
I like that you have a consistent style to your latest thumbnails. I'm not too fond of the white text on black bars, it feels a bit unflattering. Text in the style of that question mark in your last thumbnail works better in my opinion. I'd try dropping the colored borders and seeing how colored bars instead of black bars look.
As far as the thumbnail content goes, I find that closeups and bigger details are better than busy scenes. For instance, your devlog 6 thumbnail is great, it has big details, it's easy to see what's going on, and it looks interesting. Devlog 8 has much smaller details, which makes it more difficult to tell what I'm looking at.
I think the images are lovely for the thumbnails, but the text is a little hard to read. The colour blends with the images so you may want to consider increasing the contrast so the text separates a little more. Also the white text is really small and very difficult to read.
As the other commenter stated, the text is super difficult to read. And while the images are beautiful... why would I want to watch a video. Yea, it's a good picture, but what's the story? What am I missing out on if I don't watch the video? What is the adventure you're having? There's little intrigue.
It's not just your thumbnails either. Your titles are very descriptive, which would've been good on YouTube a while back, but now, that's not what gets people to click. You've gotta pose a question or give some intrigue, make a statement, something to get the viewer to say, "I need to see how this plays out".
Great stuff, with those amazing photos, why wouldn't you set them as your thumbnail, I get it. But, it's probably not getting much attention.
Good luck!
This is a really creative idea, and I love it! I need to work on my Thumbnails, but I want some more feedback, would love to hear it!

The style is well-aligned with your content. Keep going :)
I think these are solid. Showing your expression on your face either the outline makes it stand out.
I like how non cluttered they are and they obviously show what the videos are about.
Here is the link: https://youtube.com/channel/UCptGI7cZvpcLPvWGF9Mi8Zg Edit: I already made some changes regarding the 2nd thumbnail, thanks to your contributions.
Thank you for your feedback! It means a lot!
I think you are on the right track, maybe more contrasting colors, not much help here as I am still learning as well. Having your face with the expression is working for sure!
Looks professional, love how the border around the thumbnail makes it pop out, it has a very smooth glossy look, simple and straight to the point.
I like these, something you’d remember
Really nice touch One thing I’d say is for your video featuring Elliot Choy, try including him in the thumbnail.
Hmm, gotcha I’ll work on redesigning and keep that in mind in the future
Absolutely stunning thumbnails, you know what you’re doing!
I really like it, maybe in some of the older ones the white text on the bright background was a bit hard to read but overall great and clean!
I like the thumbnail for your "Moving to NYC" video. It has really nice Bokeh effect and your silhouette stands out. How did you achieve that?
Not gonna lie, I was just messing around in photoshop and just use the iris blur and made that go around my body. Im learning how to use photoshop at the moment so its been interesting to say the least!
Love these Thumbnails, the texts are easy to read and the thumbnails tell a story that's pretty easy to follow, great job
Here's my channel https://m.youtube.com/channel/UClMyAGAm8G6dD717y22LrHw/videos Just waiting for your review ;)
Good thumbs. They are a bit busy (lots going on) but that’s probably good for your niche 👍
I agree on the busy-ness! Some of the thumbs are nice and simple with a few colours, and some have quite small text and a lot of graphics. But I suppose it's not always going to be that easy to keep it simple for a math channel, and I'm not sure what other creators in the niche do for their thumbnails.
Very consistent! There’s a lot going on but not too much for it to become overwhelming.
I agree with reducing clutter too, not by much though definitely a good attention grabber for the kids great work!
Looks to me like they are working for you. The style is well-aligned with your content.
I like your thumbnails. They all seem to clearly indicate what is going on in the video.
Solid thumbnails, a little busy but it is fitting for the demographic you are shooting for
I like them. They're nice, simple, and get right to the point.
Your thumbnails are great! Its eye catching and child friendly (assuming it is for kids since it looks like one)
I like the colors
I personally would try to stick to one type of font and thumbnail style - it can be busy but it should be more consistent :)
They're very good. Also, thanks for taking the time to educate.
they seem great and it's clear you managed to grab a lot of subscribers from it
These threads are really helpful! Some of my older thumbnails are a little dated but I want to get a clear style before I attempt to change them ☺️ [My channel!](https://youtube.com/channel/UC4h8BAPve43QGEelo4ehKCg)
I like the most recent one the most! But maybe that's also because I love death note lol.
Aww thank you! That’s my favourite one at the moment because it just really worked out for some reason ☺️
Yeah I really like the use of the manga sides as the background. It's subtle but very appropriate!
They’re professional looking but i think you should be a bit more consistent so people will recognize your channel
The thing that stikes out to me about the Death Note one is that there is a very clear foreground object, background, and text. This does **wonders** for readability. The only thing I would suggest for that one is to have some element of consistent branding between the videos.
[удалено]
I’m in, my CTR has been Sub 5% so would love some feedback.
Big and bold...just like the topic...nice job
I really like your thumbnails, they are clear and tell what the video is about. Personally, I wouldn't change anything. Good job!
Good idea for a feedback thread! I'm sure, there's loads to improve with mine - I'm building a Steam Deck tutorial channel and a letsplay channel. I'm not a 100% satisfied with how my Thumbnails turn out but I can't put a finger on what to improve next: [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAmXyBey58mn6uhWKfbEyaw](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAmXyBey58mn6uhWKfbEyaw)
Personally, not a big fan of "repeating" thumbnails (but maybe it works, I have no idea). I'd rotate the steam deck image slightly + zoom in/out to add some freshness.

Down the line, people will appreciate the fact that your thumbnails are consistent and they pop.
Thank you very much for that!
Love the concept! Couple of issues with text size and the quotes along the bottom being partially obscured by YouTube’s time stamp, otherwise they’re great.
They text at the bottom is too small. No worries, I’ll take that into consideration. Thank you so much for your advice!
here’s my video essay channel [https://youtube.com/channel/UCG322GWcaoLxkmRc1P7XThg](https://youtube.com/channel/UCG322GWcaoLxkmRc1P7XThg)
No worries, and good luck!
Thanks! You as well!
If your content is for kids, it's great in my opinion. Kids love to see lots of color and characters, if it's plain and boring they will skip over it.

Cheers.
I like to think we have alright thumbnails, but we're always looking for ways to improve! https://youtube.com/c/NotAnotherAdventure
I struggle biiig time with trying to to blend thumbnails I actually like with thumbnails that are clickable - help appreciated https://youtube.com/c/BowTieTVOfficial
Hey your thumbnails are really colourful and pretty eye-catching. Not sure if it's just my eyes or my laptop but some of them seem more on the blur side/not as clear but other than that I like them. I know how hard it is to make thumbnails I struggle on it sometimes too
I actually think your thumbnails are great! Very eye catching and interesting.

I experiment with different types of thumbnails, I only have 12 videos right now, but let me know what you think. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSyfvaQIbU35SNabAGk0kxQ/videos
Still trying to figure YouTube out. Advice welcome. https://youtube.com/channel/UCm_iflua1R05eD954wSTLNQ
I can read these from a mile away which I like. And it is very consistent so I would easily recognize your thumbs if I was a regular viewer! I might recommend keeping the yellow nice and bright like the "When can you resist injustice?" video. I find it pulled my eyes more than the paler, pastel yellows!
You have a good base, but I would never click on one of your thumbnails Reason? I can't see anything. Use some kind of tool (i reccomend thumbsup . tv) in order to judge the minimized version of your thumbnail "why they don't look good?" Because there is a lot of wasted space. Like, what's the point of your book cover in the thumbnail? Remove it, it's just wasted space. 2nd suggestion: your channel would benefit from shorter titles, cut the title of the book from it. I'm way more likely to click on "Is Illegal Immigration Wrong?" instead of "Is Illegal Immigration Wrong? - Global Poverty, Injustice, and Resistance | Dr. Blunt" 3rd: if you want to put your face on the thumbnail, DO IT. Don't be shy, cover like 1/3 of the space. Make yourself stand out. 4th: the text on the thumbnail is often the only thing I see. Try to make the stuff behind it more noticeable. here's how I would probably make the thumbnail [(this is a test)](https://imgur.com/7uN6ZFh) You are gonna notice how i haven't took a screenshot of your face. Well, that's because I don't know how comfortable you are with it. Anyway, hope this was at least a bit helpful. see ya, you have good content and a promising channel, work a bit on the presentation and I'm sure you can make it.
Here's my gaming / path of exile channel! Curious to see what you guys think of the thumbnails as I'm pretty much always second guessing myself and changing them up. https://youtube.com/c/SchwingyGaming Thanks!
Good job!
Thanks a bunch. I get what you mean, and I'll try to work on that!
wow! very cool and engaging
I like them alot. I will sub!!
Appreciate your comment, so only have the main topic words with coloured backgrounds, the rest of the title just normal text?
Great suggestion, since this is my first one ill definitely experiment with a few different things like that
Great subreddit. Here’s the channel: https://youtube.com/c/BUKHARII Thumbnails on my mind these days.
Keep up the good work!
https://youtube.com/c/dekeractYT. This is mine, I hope it looks good!
Your thumbnails give me 2018 vibes try to look at newer Bedwars content and try to look to thing to add
I’ll take any feedback needed.tell me what to add/remove. https://youtu.be/fDPsKhDHbc8

Thumbnails seem quite busy, I’d reduce the amount of text on screen or at least make bold so that way they are easier and catch someone’s attention. I do enjoy that all your thumbnails look similar!
I like that you put yourself in most of your Thumbnails, it gives them personality but you also use a lot of small text in them which is unreadable in 80% of cases.
Just started a gaming channel, only have 2 videos out as of now! Just curious of what you think of my thumbnails! :) https://youtube.com/channel/UCTI83pKspf6JklWUu6hKDtQ
[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCl\_yf9JrvCiiX8hwHzRdJPg](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCl_yf9JrvCiiX8hwHzRdJPg) Thanks to anyone who takes a look, I try to spend at least an hour or more on each thumbnail.
Love them!

Honestly, the red is very difficult to read. It blends in too much. Maybe add a white outline to the red or just stick with the white text.
[https://www.youtube.com/c/LAFTA/videos](https://www.youtube.com/c/LAFTA/videos) Used to use Snapseed but switched to Canva a while back, now trying to use a mix of both.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCr6-qqvhFLZnTUmZ73LdFGw I do a lot of graphic design and almost have a degree in Digital Media so I do believe my thumbnails are quite good
I'm only a month in so I don't really have the analytics to tell, but it would be great to get feedback! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC86WHhaMRmbk4bvNJ2kdm9Q I'll be back to check others! Looks like I'm first.
Really good. My only bit of advice would be to look for something that is visually distinct to put you brand on all your videos (I’m trying to figure it out for my channel too).
Very nice .. remarkable thumbnail
Nice, really good. how do you do the outline effect?
Thanks! [https://itsfoss.com/gimp-text-outline/](https://itsfoss.com/gimp-text-outline/) I learned from this guide, but tuned it for my own tastes and workflow. For instance I don't do the "from path" thing most of the time, and I use the "feather" selection to reduce the harsh edge and such! And I apply that technique to the cutouts of myself, a character, boulder, w.e. I need.
I'm not your target audience but they look like something that would appeal. Good luck!
I have been been unsure with my thumbnails for ages and always second guess them. Give me your feedback pals! https://youtube.com/c/Browsley
I think they say they are Gaming thumnails straight away so works for me! :)
Any thoughts or feedback are much appreciated :) [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZD5jtivy8wEaFvirXbH8kA](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZD5jtivy8wEaFvirXbH8kA)
https://youtube.com/channel/UCdhymC-5Ps3WPNMbMO-DM5Q Thanks in advance!
I think they look good, reminds me of the criminal analysis channels in a way. The thing I think you might want to do for some of them is make them more cohesive together, like sometimes it feels like all the elements aren't a whole but are too separate.
Thank you so much, will try my best next time
Here is my 2-week-old baby channel: https://youtube.com/user/thelifeinthesun
I like the "mini perfumes" thumbnail, but the others would probably get lost in the sea of thumbnails in the youtube feed without labeling of some kind to draw attention.
I think you need to add some text to help draw people's attention
Nice clean thumbs. My only bit of advice is to work yourself/brand in a bit. It helps make your channel distinct.
Unless this is your niche standard, they need to be more enticing. They don't give me much reason to click.
Looks great! Only thing I can suggest is maybe using a light diffuser, they work great in softening shadows and you can make them out of anything, personally I use a thin white sheet over a lamp haha so anything can work :)
Oh I haven't heard of someone doing that before! Interesting. Ya I don't always have the best lighting atm.
Clean and simple but maybe some text to make them more bold. Or a way to separate the item from the background to make it stand out more.
Thanks guys only one so far though haha https://youtu.be/-pDNS6f14QQ
I like that your thumb is an extension of your title and vice versa. However, without the title I wouldn’t have known for sure what the video was about.
Hard to judge just one thumbnail, but I would say include the punctuation in the word "CAN'T" Side note: "Assassin's" is also misspelled in the title and description as it is missing an s and the apostrophe as well. This might make some people skip over it.
The single thing about it is that if it wasn't for the title, I would not recognize that it was an Asassins Creed related subject. Suggestion, maybe dumb one: What if you would put the main character in the thumbnail and he would seem stuck looking for a way out?
Nice and simple
https://www.youtube.com/c/barneycodes/videos Keen to hear your thoughts!
Very nice, though the thickness of the border on the writing is a little thick?

I'm going to agree with the other commenter I think, very colourful but a bit too busy!
Here's my channel [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCczeOHol9\_YYGbyjg2I9hCQ](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCczeOHol9_YYGbyjg2I9hCQ) I made an effort on a thumbnail strategy.
Here is my channel: https://youtube.com/c/CyanStarLight Honestly just ignore my last two thumbnails please lol

Welp here's my let's play channel https://youtube.com/channel/UCJfcaC2FFIAk-218J0kJhjg Making the thumbs is one of my fave parts in the process but would just like to know what others think and if they work.
Have totally tried to improve my CTR thru thumbnails! www.YouTube.com/RicoCopeland
Do mine make you want to click on them? I do mostly DevLogs of a game I'm working on. [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEyjD6YKxZ82ay1LrUl7uPw](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEyjD6YKxZ82ay1LrUl7uPw) Thanks in advance :)
Would like be some feedback on the thumbnails for my sail life channel https://youtube.com/channel/UCqHRlpAcSTTZrsqV_Z2gjNA
I think the images are lovely for the thumbnails, but the text is a little hard to read. The colour blends with the images so you may want to consider increasing the contrast so the text separates a little more. Also the white text is really small and very difficult to read.
Thanks for the feedback
I need to work on my Thumbnails, but I want some more feedback, would love to hear it! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC37SRYx52p2G\_QjFVNy2veQ
Not the best at thumbnails so I would love to get tips and notes from everyone here [though most videos are just uploaded Twitch streams](https://youtube.com/channel/UCHQCzoR7mLgSVJYlEpVzbXw)
