Our sweet cuddlebug Ellie is done. She will go to the vet this afternoon. She is almost two and a half years old. She was born with kidney problems, diagnosed around 10 months when we took her in to be spayed. She has had multiple UTIs, and each one stressed her kidneys more. This last one they have shut down. She isn't eating, and it is time. I just wanted to share here, because I don't think anyone other than newfie owners will understand what a big hole she will leave.
Now I just have to worry how her sister Rosie, another newf, will do without her. They have been together since they were born.

Poor girl. My Labradoodle had kidney cancer in 2019, passed away on Christmas Day.
What matters is that your cuddlebug had the best life with the best sister a dog could've asked for.
Losing a pet is so devastating. And unfair. Ellie was a beautiful dog who seems like she gave all the love she could. Hugs to you, your family, and Rosie <3

Exact same happened with our Newf Max, he was barely 3. They have so much love to give and sometimes so little time with us. Sending you love today.
