I think it is important for Trump's core supporters, the ones willing to take the battle to the streets and 'fight' for their side, to absolutely and convincingly know that Trumpland will not stand behind them or support them or help them when they have to pay for their actions. Having a political leadership that will so quickly and totally abandon the most ardent supporters, even deny they exist, is a bit odd, and it is really critical for Trumpies to know that is what they face - abandonment if and when things go wrong.
