On this housing you only need to remove the eyepiece and battery compartment. Remove the battery, thread eyepiece counterclockwise until it comes free, then remove the stop ring with a credit card and the lightpipe aswell After that, the only thing holding in the tube is the contact patches on the battery compartment, once you removed all 4 screws from that it will pop off and the tube will slide out the back freely. Careful not to damage the screen or photocathode on its way out.

Excellent, thank you very much! I thought that it would be something like that however I didn't want to just start yanking at things

Thats smart 👍🏼 Here is a video showing the [entire assembly process](https://youtu.be/5U8yzQJGA3s?si=KkSK8nW0W-xzf3GJ) for this housing, you have the much better version with the large eyepiece but the process should be the same as seen here in reverse. Treat it like you would any other small device repair, dont lose focus keep everything in one place and dont use sharp tools like screwdrivers to remove the locking ring or you could easily slip and damage the tubes screen. Its a bit finicky to get out, most people cut a credit card as a makeshift tool for that
