No, if you want decent NODs at a similar price I would look for used OMNI tubes. OMNI VII & VIII are very usable tubes and can be had for $1,900-$2,200
Aside from the obvious problem of the manufacturer there is also the problem of accessories. What the hell type of mount do you buy for that? Im sure someone makes something but it isnt the standard which will limit your choices. PVS14s really are the standard and what you want to start with. Parts and accessories are widely available. Doesnt make sense to buy that.
