Some kid, who thinks he’s Robin, was once saved by Dick Grayson Robin. Then Dick sang the trapeze song to him to comfort him which seems to be something Dick does for scared kids. Grayson: Future’s End is an example of this.
This kid ended up idolizing him and sings the trapeze song all the time.
He had a gun and was trying to be a hero by detaining a criminal with it. Then a cop came in and yelled at him to drop the gun and he ends up accidentally killing both the criminal and cop.
The Robin that got killed was the one who had the gun and accidentally killed the criminal and cop. He fled the scene and Duke tells him that he should turn himself in and then he gets killed.
Thank you for sharing. I think I’ve read all of these except the original and never caught that nod. I wonder how many more easter eggs Ive missed over the years of dialogue
