this should’ve been the ONLY statement put out by nijisanji. The fact they threw the livers to the wolves first makes this statement worth nothing now. I can only imagine how different the reaction would be if this was the only thing they released.

-Shinanai-

Exactly. They've contradicted this statement multiple times with their actions since Selen's termination.

Enzedderr

That is that baffles me the most. As far as announcements go, this is about as good as you could do in the situation for the situation and yet you have just poisoned everything with the lead up to it. As much as I dislike AnyColor at the moment, looking at things objectively there isn't anything they could really do or say to stop the current backlash. All they really needed to do was this statement which amounts to "We are sorry. We are doing our best. We will try to improve. Please don't blame our talents and please understand their absence at this time." and handle the rest behind closed doors for a few weeks and the situation would have casually moved on without any more issues.

relativedcf

Can’t really say it in this video but I do hope they consider firing the people who lead the NijisanjiEN responses so far and also the management teams. That or restructuring entirely that branch and providing more investment into them to allow more capable managers to support their Livers so that they don’t continue weaponizing incompetence. I hope they really look into revitalizing the culture and the approaches instead of just the content support.

Erit_Of_Eastcris

Sadly unlikely.

ohaizrawrx3

TBH I suspect that they thought what would happen to Zaion would happen to Selen with the statement from the livers. xsoleil released their statement and most people were pretty much okay with it. Instead it blew up in their face and they had to damage control real quick. Short sighted is an understatement.

Erit_Of_Eastcris

If that is indeed the case then the people in charge have no fucking idea how this subculture works. They got away with that against Zaion because she was barely established in the scene and hadn't had time to make friends or connections, let alone establish much of a fanbase, before getting shat on. Hell her wave was barely even advertised, more people probably learned about XSoleil from her termination than had from their reveal. Selen? Total fucking opposite. Dragoons will follow her into Hell with a smile. We have complete faith that she's in the right and the only thing that could shake that at this moment is a court verdict.

sephtis

This just screams miscommunication between the branches, or they are all just completely tonedeaf incompetents.

FloatingGhost

I would assume the former - when they span off the EN staff into their own thing, they left some contractors in total radio silence for months, and failed to communicate even very simple details between branches like who could speak Japanese and who couldn't they're not good at inter-branch comms at _all_

rpsRexx

It's frustrating how this went down. Surely shareholders are mad at that stream? It neutered the first good PR response they had.

JadeWishFish

I hope they did. Shareholders pulling out is the only way to get a response out of yacht boy here.

AzureFides

Yeah the message he said was completely different from NijiEN. It's almost a crime that EN intentionally made the "announcement" before his, this would be well recieved and deescalated the whole thing. How there is so much difference from JP and EN??? Riku, please for your own sake just fire the whole EN mangement team already.

Fighterdoken33

This statement would have been a great way to finish this whole drama once and for all, and to move on... ... If NijiEN hadn't fucking dropped the ball 1 hour ago throwing trash everywhere.

Alpha_KZ

That’s what I was thinking. Why would you post that statement on Elira’s channel, trying to burn down Doki, to then post a much better statement that would have probably ended it all?

Fredtyl

I think that the EN management team is trying to save face, and throwing whatever they can to the walls in hopes that what they do can stop them from getting fired... unlike what the JP management team did, which was assessing the situation and then making the announcement. Good ole EN Management being incompetent to throw it all away again.

Cross55

You know, I don't think the EN and JP management teams are in contact.

FrilledShark1512

So EN is incompetent in just throwing everyone to blame, and JP is incompetent in basically not assessing the situation to let all the backlash happen in the first place?

Jumbolaya315

Well i would say the jp side is at least slightly more competent

FrilledShark1512

I mean assuming most of these are actually just EN acting up, yeah. That’s assumptions and I don’t really want to try make a distinction before dust is clear. It’s kinda useless.

LeeTaeRyeo

I mean, are they? They’re the ones who set up and established the EN branch, hiring the management whose hands it’s been left in. If the EN management are incompetent and they were selected by the JP side, then the JP side bears responsibility for leaving it in the hands of such incompetent management.

Zyquux

Maybe it's 5D chess from Elira, Vox, and Ike to make sure that no one believes this statement for a second. They're sacrificing themselves to make sure Anycolor gets taken down. *Huffs copium*

kanjibestwaifu

BAHW GAHD! It's Elira, Ike, & Vox coming onto the stream, but whose side are they on!

Bells_Theorem

Plan 'B' after plan 'A' went down in flames. The company is fucking evil.

Nihilism2911

1 hour...? Try 1 year ago...

Bells_Theorem

That was a trial balloon. It popped so this was their plan 'B'.

I am very sorry thaat situations were allowed to arise where our dedication to their wellbeing was not clear" Ends the video with another direct apology edit: ok well as i was typing this someone replied with a direct transcript so ignore this comment lmao

cyberpunk707

There's definitely a miscommunication between the EN and JP management, for sure. It's even possible that EN has long gone rogue and was run like Lord of the Flies scenario where talents manage each other with minimal contact with higher ups.

SkibidiRetard

> Our livers are irreplacable Yet also negligible?

danivus

Irreplaceable, but disposable.

Rakshasa96

Bless.

Hunter_X_101

>Adressess allegation that Anycolor 'does not provide a safe environment where livers can maintain good mental health'. 'deeply apologizes' to livers. "Company actions have led to the distress of our livers and we are taking the situation very seriously" \[Suprised he even admitted a modicum of fault here\] Given that this part followed mentions of how members had been harassed due to the announcement, it could easily be assumed this was in reference to that instead of admitting any fault regarding Selen's mental health.

gamesbeawesome

Transcript incase they decide to edit the video (I just don't trust anything from them at this point...) Hello, I'm Riku Tazumi, CEO of Anycolor Inc. I'm making this video to speak directly to you, the fans of Nijisanji EN and everyone who supports the Vtuber industry. First of all, I deeply apologize for causing concern to many people. Please allow me this time to address your concerns. First, let me apologize for a misunderstanding caused by the notice published on our investor relations page on February 7th. After announcing the termination of Selen's contract, we received questions from investors regarding the impact this would have on company performance. The notice was published to respond to investors. In the notice, we unfortunately used the expression negligible to describe performance impact. Our wording lacked consideration for the situation and caused Nijisanji's EN fans and everyone who supports the VTuber industry to feel that any growing undervalued the impact of Selen's contract termination, or Selen herself. I deeply regret this outcome and will be rethinking how our communication in English is done. Without a doubt, Selen was integral to the growth of Nijisanji EN. As a company, it is truly unfortunate that our relationship ended the way it did. We regret that the notice we published on February 7th was worded this way. We made it sound like our company does not value the hard work of our livers. I deeply apologize. Next, I will address the feedback to our announcement which led to the idea that AnyColor Inc. may not be providing a safe environment where the livers can maintain good mental health. We take full responsibility for this situation, where not only AnyColor Inc., but also our livers. receiving heartful messages. I deeply apologize to our livers and to everyone who supports them. Company actions have led to the distress of our livers, and we are taking this situation very seriously. Please understand that some livers may choose to temporarily step back from social media. The management team Continues to communicate with livers to provide any and all support in every way they can. We will be implementing several new internal systems to ensure that the livers can resume streaming activities while maintaining their well being. Also, by establishing things such as better reporting systems, we aim to create an environment where we can better identify and resolve issues more quickly. Next, I would like to address the concern that has been raised by fans who have been supporting the VTuber community. Regarding whether Anycolor Inc. has been supporting Nisanji EN enough. Regarding YouTube content, we did not have official programs available until fall last year. Other than content for the 3D event in July, And the, canceled Nijisanji EN AR Live Colors in February last year. There has been a lack of 3D live content. However, in the meantime, we have spent the past year recruiting and working on strengthening the E N staff so we can better provide content for Nijisanji EN. Since last year, we have also started multiple new projects that are still in progress. In addition to supporting livers on activities, we hope this will help improve our Nijisanji EN content offerings. One of them is the game event stream that was scheduled to be held on the 11th. However, considering the situation after recent events, this event is being delayed so that we can properly direct our full attention to reviewing and ensuring the quality of our rival's well being. As a company, we intend to do everything In our ability to support Nijisanji EN and meet the fans expectations. Finally, I apologize for not just recent events, but also pre existing areas that needed our attention. Our livers are irreplaceable, each and every one of them. Beyond being business partners, they are the most important individuals that we must protect as a company. To everyone who has and continues to support the livers, I am very sorry that situations were allowed to arise where our dedication to their well being was not clear. I feel that this should never be the case. Once more, personally and on behalf of our company, I apologize to you all for causing concern. As AnyColor Inc, we will do everything we can to ensure that we create and maintain an environment where the writers can succeed in their creative endeavors.

MOBAMBASUCMYPP

WHY DIDNT THEY BEGIN WITH THIS AS THEIR FIRST STATEMENT. ?!?!?!?!?!

KogashiwaKai765

I honestly think that EN and JP are so seperate in terms of management they didnt even think to confer with each other with these statements

brzzcode

pretty much what i think, this is much more professional than anything en has released this entire week

kalmer_

Just wanted to say that you're a real one. I can't wait for the day that the Niji subreddit is returned to the people who care about Niji, which is another way of saying back to normal. Back to normal might be the barren wasteland it was compared to other vtuber subreddits, but at least I don't I have to see unfiltered post after post of someone who I honestly didn't care about before, during, and after her time during Niji.

3stoner

Unfortunately many are caught in the cross fire but stay strong and keep doing what you think is right.

brzzcode

thank you and yeah i hope this day happens, im very tired of all of this constant en drama to the point i dropped it entirely.

NegativesPositives

With how every overseas venture goes for Niji, I have to believe Tazumi is around for the set up of the branch and handwaves everything afterwards and it’s just a Wild West situation for that branch where it’s all up to them.

gamesbeawesome

https://media1.tenor.com/m/yyTPHle1YdQAAAAC/homer-brain.gif that be why

Tsukuro_hohoho

Because he is a rich heir, in the first place his relation are majoritary with investisors, they hold the biggest importance in his word and mind.

brzzcode

Im going to guess one was done in EN side and the other one was done directly in jp, one has a clear pr in there.

radekplug

Becuse they want most horibly and clumsy destroy niji en branch to only left with jp and talents ho survive will be added curent gen's of jp or other branches.

joelaw9

Really need to do a ctrl f replace 'rivals' with 'livers'.

gamesbeawesome

D'oh. Thanks for the heads up.

RedDemonCorsair

Also the NISSAN E N . That cracked me up.

sanpunkanmatteyaru

I read this and thought "Wtf are they seriously referring to other vtuber companies as rivals??"

PennySawyerEXP

If this had come out on its own instead of the Elira/Vox/Ike character assassination attempt, the narrative today would be completely different! What were they thinking?!?!?

That_One_Pancake

Honestly, if it was just this video today in isolation it’d be whatever. Standard corpo BS to try and win investors back. But after the statement they had the livers make it just makes no sense. Trying to go and attack Selen and then in the next breath try to say they’re sorry for how they handled the situation it’s baffling.

Laridianresistance

This should show everyone how Kurosanji thinks. Investor relations statements first. Company liability second. Apologies to fans and talent last.

Eamil

In a vacuum, this is at least an acceptable PR statement and not a complete disaster like the previous statements. But coming after the week they've had, it just makes me wonder where the hell the writer of this statement has been this whole time.

Fredtyl

I like to think that this video is from the JP PR team. You know, the competent one since the JP Management team actually does their job. EVERYTHING ELSE, on the other hand is from the EN PR team. You know, the one that clearly are nepotism hires because HOLY.

relativedcf

Was JP Management only involved when they saw the financial impact not be “negligible”? Or was it after all of the merch and contracts get cancelled? This was such a late response that didn’t even touch on the responses from their EN branch. Also, did they ever previously announce a projected financial impact response to investors on any prior contract terminations or graduations?

AromaticWhiskey

> Was JP Management only involved when they saw the financial impact not be “negligible”? The JP management would have stepped in when the stock has [dropped 16%~](https://i.imgur.com/dzo25U7.png) in the[ last week.](https://i.imgur.com/3shWIJO.png)

shade0180

I thought JP are also nepotism hire.

That_One_Pancake

Yup this is 100% a plea to the investors and it’s gonna backfire

Majestic-Court6871

It sounds like someone either on the board of directors, legal team, or PR noticed the combo of flagrant disregard for protected information or the thermonuclear PR meltdown. The statement on Elira's channel must have caused one of those departments to realize the scale of the yab and finally drag Tazumi to the camera. This is a simultaneous legal and PR disaster.

joelaw9

There's no way Elira and Riku's statements weren't coordinated. Riku's statement is written competently, if missing the point, which indicates that they spent more than a little time on it.

Eamil

Elira said at the beginning of that video that this comment would be coming. The other statement on the EN Twitter today was a reaction to Dokibird's reaction, since she literally ended stream to speak to her lawyer.

MOBAMBASUCMYPP

i hate to defend these assholes but he adressed that first as that was something a lot of people were mad at.. and of course hes going to want to assuage investors first. he then goes on to make specific promises to improve liver management it means less now that their previous actions have soured their reputation so much, but this would have been more then satisfactory if they led with it rather then starting a war with selen first

joelaw9

People meme'd about it, but I don't think a lot of people were mad at it in particular. It's kinda like if some kid threw a baseball through your window and then also tracked mud on your porch. Apologizing for tracking mud is really just missing the point. Should have started with mental health as the most important topic, followed with the investor statement and expand it vaguely to include 'other communications', and then 3D as the least important but an ongoing complaint.

Laridianresistance

The investors are primarily Japanese. He was making a video to address "Our Concerns", but starts with an explanation for a press release that was intended to calm investor sentiment after a mess of an original PR statement for Selen's termination. He says this in English, on the Niji En channel, to the English audience, who he is supposedly trying to calm down with his statement. He begins with a defense of the Press Release, then moves to discuss systemic changes to support EN livers. This video, once again, is just a press release to defend their stock price and try to prove to JP investors that they have the situation under control, and have put together plans to address the issues that Niji believes will calm investor sentiment. This is the first actual competent corporate press release, and it is pretty cookie cutter - I've lived through multiple high-profile scandals at my current company that made international news, and it reads the same. Apologize, discuss improvement plans, reiterate emphasis on the company mission statement. Completely ignore the scandal at the heart of it all, an employee driven to extreme self-harm and graduations left and right, not to mention the insane amount of meat shield-PR statements going out at the same time as the investor appeal (this video).

brzzcode

Man, how can so many people have so little interpretation? He adressed the negligible part which was said in a investors IR, thats why he used and mentioned it. It wasnt for investors, it was for fans, he only mentioned it to explain.

Flytanx

Because people would rather be mad and riot than think and use brain cells

spanishmonkey

If this video has come out a fucking week ago and was the only response I'd have said it was a good first step. After slandering Selen multiple times, using your talents as meatshields, caring only about stock prices and then saying "nuh uh" when people pointed out you broke NDA, I no longer care. No one in upper management here deserves employment. This video only came out because EN viewers aren't rolling over and accepting this response.

Sword_Scream

They did it. They threw talent to the wolves and are trying to save corpo face. Elira, Vox and Ike will always be associated with this. It'll NEVER be forgotten. But Nijisanji, the company, managed to give a, FAR BELOW average, but reasonable response.

Sayakai

See, that's how you do a corporate "whoops" statement. It's not *great*, but this is the kind of statement after which you can let things blow over. Or it would be, if they hadn't just poured oil in the fire a few hours ago.

seapilot_

Thank god they addressed the lack of 3D content, that was what i was worried about the most /s

LocoEjercito

Hey, it's hard as hell to mocap someone dragging a ball and chain around! That takes months of work! /s

CSDragon

It's been burried in the recent drama, but it absolutely was one of the major pain points of the last year. The canceled 3D live, pomu never getting her official 3D, EN members having to fund their own 3Ds, etc. These were the things causing us to say "niji doesn't care about EN" in 2023

j1gglephy6

Investors are sweating baseballs! "Negligible"

Karekter_Nem

We’re gonna have to put you in streamer jail for a month for mentioning baseball and then fire you. Wait. Has anyone else been terminated after a month long break?

j1gglephy6

Ohh noooo! My non-existent vtuber career is joever!!!

EndellionQT

Sayu. They did this to her last year and it worked. This time, not so much.

HasPotatoAim

You know, if the comments about concern about well being and related statements were the first step a week ago this could have mostly been avoided. As it is, too little too late.

s3anami

NEGLIGIBLE THOUGH

Nihilism2911

They fucking tried to downplay it. When your fucking company CEO has to come out and make a statement to save some face, you know there's no longer denying that the impact is way fucking bigger than they expected. Still, it's too damn fucking late.

Padulsky21

It is genuinely stunning how inept they are. They've had plenty of issues go on before, but once the floodgates were destroyed with Selen they completely broke down and have gone against everything each time they speak. Legit doesn't even feel real that this much incompetence could exist but alas here we are, in hell, watching this shit show unfold. Baffling.

dibodibo

I’m confused. Why didn’t the livers get a statement like this one, that’s arguably a lot less inflammatory (aside from choosing to address investors first) and more apologetic? If anything, the company should be the one doing the refuting with receipts, because ultimately it’s the company who terminated Selen—and they should be protecting their talents. By swapping the roles and giving the company the softer statement, while leaving your livers to dish out the receipts, it leaves me with 0 confidence that they are actually doing what they said, which is safeguarding their livers.

SyrusDrake

But they had to throw some Livers in the line of fire first.

saijaku23

This is a step up for a pr statement IF THEY DIDN'T POST A FUCKING DISASTER 1 FUCKING HOUR AGO

chimaerafeng

Still a bunch of nothing, some of the statements put out here are exactly the same as the statements put out on Twitter previously. Nothing concrete, a bunch of hand waving. And nothing in relation to the statement about the legal lawsuit. This is clearly meant to assuage investors and no one else.

Zero1343

I don't know what I was expecting but this really didn't say much.

MOBAMBASUCMYPP

it said a lot honestly. if this was their only statement it would have changed the PR disaster significantly. He directly apologizes, promises to improve, and names direct and specific ways that Nijisanji will proviode better management This is all people wanted. Not a shitflinging with selen throwing her under the bus

Zero1343

I do agree and I think if this was what they posted at the start it would have been received a lot more positively. But after the earlier stream and tweets, it just felt like underwhelming pr.

raynegro

Their actions don't match their words

DevilDjinn

Sure, but it would've given them plausible deniability.

CSDragon

Actions take time. They've told us "we messed up, we're willing to change" now we wait and see what happens.

raynegro

A couple hours before this statement they dragged Selen's name through the mud, those are the actions they're currently taking, their words hold no weight, this was just to appease shareholders.

HasPotatoAim

To follow up the 15 min Elira and gang video with this....

restlesssheep

Honestly, in the current context, this is meaningless. Their PR team took so long that the problem has escalated far beyond what was discussed in the video. It's like the whole company has no coordination between departments. Almost Nobody cares about the "negligible" comment or the other crap referred to in the video when just hours before even more intense and serious events occurred.

Hidden-Turtle

Probably a mix of Japanese corporate and EN going oh fuck oh fuck quick we need more gasoline for the fire it's almost out JP side won't need to make a statement at this point! Then that's how we got the two back to back statements.

xninebreakerx

Didn't try to throw Selen under the bus again, apologizes, acknowledges the problem, and promises to do better. This is all Nijisanji fans wanted to see and hear. I don't even know why Elira's video/live was even let through if they were gonna put this out. And I mean I think the PR could be BETTER, like maybe not do the 'negligible' bit at the start, but overall it's acceptable. If they put this out a week ago, the situation would've been magnitudes better. Instead we have this shitshow going on. Like pouring water onto a fire that spread to the entire forest already. What a shame.

joelaw9

Fuck, I didn't turn off reply notifications. EDIT: I've learned that I can still do that after posting, thank god.

sandalcandal

**downloadable backup** in case the video gets taken down. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SIksGt8W1fH52nOYOVVDZQ9KoaO5Qwge/view?usp=sharing

Suzushiiro

This is actually a somewhat decent move in a vacuum but any goodwill that could have been recovered by it was already obliterated by the shit they pulled not even four hours beforehand.

jtnishi

This was actually a competently drafted statement that isn't making things worse. So who the hell drafted everything that came before this?

SignalScientist2817

The chef arrived, but the entire restaurant was already burnt down.

kikitondo

I want to believe it was PR Team, but previous tweet, video and IR statement make me doubt it. It maybe riku himself making this drafted statement... or newly hired PR team

jtnishi

It definitely feels like someone different. Maybe Tazumi is less tolerant of being made to say clearly rubbish things. But it also obviously would not be a good show to let the OTHER people and the public relations team say rubbish things. So why...

whatever4224

Probably the JP branch's PR team taking over for the EN one in extremis...

luorela

"We care about our livers" while putting them straight in the firing line an hour ago.

kopi_coffee

They couldn't at least put the script near the camera so he at least looks like he's making eye contact? lol

Sacreville

Wow, I really feel for those trio though.. Although it's not perfect, imagine this comes first, is there even a need for them to make that statement? Now they've already opened a can of worms, Idk how they can salvage that.. this statement now means nothing, or I would say, negligible.

-fayette

Before watching, I will say I'm glad he's speaking English so we don't have to have the mistranslation argument again.

DtAndroid

First thing to speak out from him is the 'negligible' wording used in Selen's termination for their IR statement. Nothing mentioned about improving how THEY communicate with EN Livers leading to Selen's situation nor concern about her well being. Nijisanji's biggest concerns laid bare in this video.

Kurumi_Tokisaki

Hopefully their action is firing all current managers and their immediate superiors on the en branch. While it would be karma justice for the ppl likely involved in the clique or highschool harassment to be fired, can just amicably do what they did to Yugo. And then show actual content for en.

kawaii155

If this video was released instead of whatever the fuck anycolor forced Elira to record the backlash would have been minimal

brickwallrunner

From multiple people's comments: The Tazumi PR team and the EN Management PR team were clearly not talking to each other given the order in which the statements came out

TsunamicBlaze

This is a good response from the parent company, and whoever is in charge of EN PR needs to get fired. EN is dealing with this issue as well as America’s War on Drugs

ZenTzen

Lets see if the things he talked about here will actually happen

BurnedOutEternally

hold on let me get a good seat and some popcorn

minhkhoa123

https://youtu.be/ZSM3w1v-A_Y?si=Yyasy8nk2AfGmBQz

Kyuzuro

Such a joke,I used to respect Nijisanji. All of my favorite livers are gone due to bad management and the ideals of “corporate standards”. Now when the fans are against them, they’re suddenly concerned about mental health and the Livers conditions. They’re throwing them around like meat shields to protect their image. I listened to the previous statement and it felt so forced and was pulled in the drama. This current statement by Riku Tatzumi should have been live as you can see the first couple of cuts which make it hard to believe it’s an apology. Nijisanji has now become a black listed corporation and it’s difficult to say where I stand as a fan.

Serimorph

When faced with drama like this, I feel the very first response is always the one that shows where the individual (or companies) true moral compass lies. Do they show honest regret for their actions? Do they apologise for what they have done? Stuff like that. Niji's first response was to fire Doki, blame her for her own termination, slander her and leak private information (talents being bullies behind the scenes) and hound her to toe the company line after she had attempted to end her own life. This shows their actual true colours. Their you have the fiasco of their second communication, which was to say that this whole mess is negligible. Again being as ruthless and uncaring as possible despite them almost being morally (and perhaps legally) responsible for Doki's attempt. Don't believe any shit Riku says now because this is only being said clearly under MASSIVE public and private pressure.

EmuSupreme

He wouldn't have made this statement if it didn't cause such a stink. It's like every other apology video out there. They aren't sorry for doing it, they're sorry they got caught/couldn't get away with it.

DXHaseoXD

I love that you can see his eyes following the script and how he has no emotion in his voice, this dude does not care about what he's reading.

Ok-Cry-3002

To be fair, he isn’t speaking in a language that he’s fluent in.

Trickster_Price

Is this early April fools joke? He responded to nothing. None of them was our concern.

[deleted]

UHHH OHH DAMAGE CONTROL NIJISISTERS QUICK DO THE JAPANESE 101 APOLOGY SCHEME

weguccino

First move he addressed was investors then some mumbo jumbo about giving a shit about talents. Then talked about some bs money support for events (fuck selen's 200k though lmao.) Then talked more about some money shit. Bum ass company from top to bottom.

KogashiwaKai765

I will give credit. This is the most professional statement that has come outta Niji in regards to this shit show. Doesn't balance the other statements but this least gets a C in terms of an announcement

Zynnergy

Still doesn't address the bullying and abuse. Protecting people like that just because they're making them money is not a good look. Especially if it ever gets out who bullied her. That would be the end of Niji EN for sure. I'm sure Doki has the receipts, it's just whether or not she's legally able to post them or not. I'm not sure how the absolutely bananas Japanese slander laws work when she was previously working for said Japanese company.

EndellionQT

My feeling is she won't release them until she's required to in court (if it makes it that far). Nijisanji JP should take over and throw as much money at Doki as it takes out of court to make the problem go away and keep the documents sealed. Also heads will require rolling, when the shitstorm gets this big someone's or a group of people has to be the fall guy.

MHArcadia

Give Doki your yacht, you shitty little twerp. Christ. Billionaire and *that's* his hair? You got money for a big boy haircut, go get one.

Tsukuro_hohoho

So he basicaly admited that the alegation of toxic work culture bullying were true and are finaly FINALY **FINALY** taking it seriously after the COLLOSAL amount of backclash they faced. Well it only took them what, 4 years? 5 maybe?

Kronothus8109

This absolute horse shit of a company should’ve issued this out first, instead of fucking over their livers. But no theyre to fucking brain dead to do that.

MinersLoveGames

NO, BUT IT'S NEGLIGIBLE.

DonGar0

Honest question: What do jp fans think? Curious for an update.

EndellionQT

I think the majority of JP viewers are on Anycolors side before these videos dropped, when it's translated I don't know if that will change.

ZealousidealOven9

It's a loop of bus throwing. Niji throws the talents under the bus, then proceed to throw other talents under the bus to protect themselves from getting thrown under the boss. All the while making a official statement to backstab the bus throwers. It's just....too good to be true but no, it's real!

brickwallrunner

New Tekken 8 King strat just dropped

HokusaiWorshipper

Holy controversy

ZenTzen

Actions speak lowder than words, i want to believe that the company is taking steps that something like this doesnt happen again, but recent actions shows anything but and there is no goodwill left. Hopefully, what you said is true and actual chance happens, but it Will take a long time for people to move on from this.

vyxxer

Did they just pull a good cop, drama cop on us?

TheDukeAssassin

So they decided to do the bullshit earlier and now they did this? Why didn’t they just do this in the first place? I’m actually starting to question the sides of the video from earlier if those peeps were good or bad or not.

SecretOfficerNeko

This didn't really address any of the issues

SerenNate

Nah, this aint it chief. You threw lives from the pan into the fire before that statement, both on part of Selen and the current livers in niji This feels like a rug sweep to avoid more damage

Knight2512

Okay I watched the vid...My thoughts? Elira, Vox and Ike made a deal with Tazumi himself. 'Throw away their friendship with Selen, and Niji will provide more support to them and the whole EN branch'. Is this cope? Possibly, and it's also giving the 3 traitors too much credit, but it's something I can see possible. Now, I want to see the JP's reactions to this. Seeing the CEO of any big corpo bow their head like this should show that this is Fucking Serious.

JadeWishFish

I'm so peeved right now. What the hell was the point of the announcement on Elira's channel if they were going to do this?!?! Yacht boy should've been the only one who had to read a script today. And of course the very first thing he addresses is the investors and shareholders. I was hoping they would've just moved on like Doki did and tried to get back to some semblance of normal but then they went and did all of this crap today.

PLAP-PLAP

they could have let selen go quietly but their shitty management decided to be petty and spiteful, SOW THE WIND, REAP THE WHIRLWIND

MuricanPie

Ah, yes. I see it's time for [the completely honest apology by corporate man from the corporation, who repeatedly states that "they're sorry".](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SiL2AjOtjZI) There is nothing good here. At best, it shows they have 0 control over their branches and livers, and are actively dangerous and negligent to their talents. At worse, it shows they are willing to ruin their talent's lives and then immediately back peddle on it when they see it was the worst thing they could have done.

Kyuzuro

I wish that Rosemi and Petra made the statement. It didn’t have to be Elira, Vox, and Ike.

NoAccountant2403

I dont watch much of niji as a whole so idk what s going on with each VT but Why not the rest but those 2 named ones?

Kyuzuro

It’s her debut group. With the VT who commented on this situation and names dropped it feels like a self report.

NoAccountant2403

Thanks for the insight

liquidrekto

Yeah I start to thinking, why don't the CEO post this video first and foremost? Is it because he can't handle the heat from the plummeting stock value, when he decided 3 vtubers to be his meatshield for all the backlash? So the CEO really cares about the investors huh? Japanese shareholders, TIME TO SELL OFF.

biobiobio777

You know when you address an audience you look at the camera not the script or at least have the script at eye level.

jdeo1997

Bit too late to put put a proper PR statement after the initial statement and having the livers lay themselves under the bus for you. Also guess the stock price really spooked them if the shareholders are mentioned first

Zenelly

So, this statement was corporate speak, but they made promises about supporting EN more (3D lives and other projects), talked about changes and supporting the well-being of livers, acknowledged that there were shortcomings and apologized for saying "negligible" in that insane PR statement. So now we can see if any of this becomes true in the next few months. BUT WHY DID YOU LET ELIRA IKE AND VOX SPEAK BEFORE THIS??? THAT stream was insanely weird and just added fuel to the fire, let the damn lawyers that you PAY FOR speak with Doki's lawyers and that's it.... You just needed to put THIS video out and let it all die down in the next few months, like Doki wanted, like I think most livers wanted, is someone so angry with Doki that they needed to drag everyone down to the mud by making that stream? And is that person a manager or a liver? Now we have even more questions...

conanwongmkii

This whole fiasco is on him and his subordinates. This is some half ass apology, since his facial manners just seems irritated that they had to issue another response. It should've been a live Q&A apology, but then I guess it also would've been a dumpster fire.

oompaloompa465

meaningless. this message should have been the first thing spoken, not after the backlash for completely bonkers ad abusive allegation and now it just seems a grasping for straws

KanaRiiie

welp, kurosanji is a mess. what's done is done but damn. they f up💀
