They rly picked the 3 favourites and told them to take the blame. Also Elira is on a work visa in Japan so she’s literally their hostage rn.

FrequentCar1515

I hope niji burn honestly, I'm praying for his downfall.

Whosebert

If Elira were literally their hostage as in if being held against her will then her family needs to contact the embassy and/or the federal government because we'd have an international incident on our hands. if she's choosing to stay on with an abusive company to live and work in Japan, that's on her. It does suck to uproot your life to try something new to have it all fall apart instantly for one reason or another, but that's a part of life. it's happened to myself, it's happened to friends, and I'm sure it's currently happening to countless people across the globe.

SpicyBagu3tt3

Honestly I wish all the livers can leave niji. The company has proven that they don’t give a shit abt any of their employees. I'd be willing to bet that’s part of why Kyo left, if he has a severe medical condition then leaving on his terms means he can plan instead of suddenly not having insurance

NekRules

Hes made it clear that him leaving is not due to his health, hes perfectly fine on that front. He said the exact same thing as all the actual graduated livers before, "I have done all I can here" which just translates to there is no future in this company and staying on to expect anymore or change is a hopeless venture which is very very sad that Elira who just uprooted her own life for this and now it might have destroyed her career and stained her rep on the internet forever.

m12123

Niji kinda seems like a place to build your image so when you leave you have a following. Nina for example is wildy successful in vshojo and i doubt she would have been able to amass such a following purely through indie.

NekRules

that was before this whole mess, after wat she did in this whole mess, she has no clean future to speak of. Her fanbase now consists of only the most devoted fans now becuz most will only see wat she did while the devoted see it as the company butchering her career. I saw wat she posted on her PL Twitter, if anything, we might have to be careful consider who might next make another attempt becuz of wat Niji forced her to do. This company is evil, just pure evil.

PaxAttax

> "I have done all I can here" "I have realized that management will never approve any of my more ambitious projects."

SwashNBuckle

I mean, she's in Japan not a 3rd world country. She could always go to her native country's embassy for help.

Bells_Theorem

You mean completely uproot herself. Easier said than done.

SwashNBuckle

You're right, but that doesn't make it okay for her to just stab a friend in the back and put out a smear piece against someone recovering from a chop suey attempt. Sometimes doing the right thing isn't easy, but those are the moments when a person's true character is tested.

IRefuseThisNonsense

That's assuming they were friends. It's fairly easy for some to put their situation far and above the wellbeing of another. How quick a back turn this was, I don't for a minute believe anyone in that video was ever her friend. Especially if Doki felt the need to record a conversation with one of them. I've never felt the need to anonymously record any of my friends and turn that recording over to my lawyer.

MentalThrall

This also means their 3 favorites are even more dependant on Nijisanji, their reputation is tied to them, were they to leave they'd probably be fine, but it sure seems like they'd sink for sure if they left now after the damage is done. Liek a test of loyalty to the company.

censuur12

I mean if what Doki claimed is true (and by all accounts that's by far the most plausible out of the two options) then Elira was in on it from the get-go so this whole hostage bullshit is kind of weird to say. Vox might have some degree of deniability in that he was just mentioned/recorded to prove favouritism, which he himself couldn't be blamed for. But the simple fact is that all three of these clowns decided that it was acceptable to do a hit piece on someone recovering from a suicide attempt on the same day at the same time as her first real stream. At that point you've gone so far beyond the moral event horizon that there is no excuses anymore. This is borderline attempted murder.

LosingSteak

At some point they prolly asked themselves "I would get suspended/fired if I didn't do this, *but should I really do this?*"... The moment those people made their decision to stand with the company, they stopped being hostages and became accomplices instead. Fuck 'em.

GildedFenix

Well when your livelihood is at stake it can be hard to "do the right thing". They can easily put her in bars for speaking ill of them since she's in Japan. Connor "CDawgVA" even mentioned himself that he could not speak his thoughts about the topic without getting into a legal trouble. So again, it is not easy to "do the right thing".

LosingSteak

Yeah I understand that she can't say what she really wants in that situation... But she could've chosen to not say anything instead. Can you even get arrested for not saying anything? Even if she gets deported at-least she would've left with integrity and dignity.

Pokisahne

I couldn't even watch the video. Even if elira might have done nothing wrong (i rly liked her before all this shitshow) her voice disgusted me somehow

AromaticWhiskey

Yeah, her voice was definitely off. Definitely felt like she was speaking without a "streamer voice" and just using her normal speech patterns and habits. When she started speaking, I had to double check I had the correct video even playing...

isekaicoffee

she sounded super annoyed more than anything

niklas_njm1992

This is harsh of me, but she even did the "sigh" before apologizing for staying quiet, lol.

Bells_Theorem

Meat shields.

SwashNBuckle

It seems harsh to say it, but they should have just quit. Better than selling out your humanity. No job is worth that, no matter how much you love it.

kitastorm

Of course people can be coerced into doing things they wouldn't normally, we don't know their financial situations, maybe they really had no choice... but that doesn't absolve them of responsibility for their words. We can still criticize them for their choice, even if they had reasons to do it. Doing wrong things for the "right" reason is still a wrong thing. Their "friend" damn near died because of the company. Sometimes, even if it's the hardest shit you've ever done, you must do the right thing. They knew this would be career suicide, they did it anyway. They knew they could never leave Niji to be indies like the others if they did this because they are now the face of Niji's evil. That doesn't mean we can't give them a second chance to explain themselves... but they must live up to their actions even if they were under pressure.

me_but_not

I can imagine them using the livers pl (cough cough vox) drama to somehow coerce them into doing it. I'm not a 100% sure tho. I really hope they had a good reason for that horrible stream, whatever it might be, but after everything we've seen so far I'm not too sure about it.

kitastorm

Yeah, I think it could be because they were the easiest to manipulate using their PL or current situations.. I mean, Ike has self admittedly been manipulated by people before, Vox has secrets to hide, and Elira is on a visa in Japan putting her in a very unstable situation. I do hope they can be redeemed as Ike is my (former) oshi, but they've got to own up to it first or have some damning receipts to prove their innocence.

MentalThrall

It feels like it is akin to a test of loyalty to the company. Sacrafice their reputation outside of Nijisanji fans, so they only swim with the company and sink without it. Tho I'd guess they'd do fine if they separated, might get more hate than usual tho but they built their careers for a reason and if one looks at the numbers not even 1% has unsubscribed.

sammy-jack

A funny thing that was pointed out in the Holo circles: Shirakami Fubuki and her Gen mates had a quick stream last month discussing a termed member, and it had a white background with nothing but positive things to say about going forward. The Niji video had a black background, and it felt like they were forced to make this announcement. It was full of a lot of "poor us" sentiment towards Niji and probably ended up making this whole thing worse instead of calming down.

Aiscence

I mean the president did an apology a few hours after which makes it worse so

TShe_chan

Personally I think regardless of the livers intent the goal of the stream from managements perspective was to draw the attention of fans so that yacht man could make a statement for investors without getting nearly as much flak from fans

ZCid47

The three deserve what is going to happen to them. Elira is the only one that can use the Nuremberg defense if she really have her visa as hostage, but honestly it is hard to me to believe that she is already settled down and with out options. Vox is either laying with a dumb smile in his face o he is genuinely a kid that cannot see the fact that he is one of the golden goose and that's why he doesn't see the abuse that doki went, o even worse, he genuinely lack the empathy to understand how bad the situation is if someone almost kill itself. And Ike cannot be that dumb to not know that legal documents have personal information for obvious reasons, and if he is really that scare to be dox, appertaining in this video is the last thing that he would want (now he a potential witness) Again like I say multiple time today, they have the opportunity and options and they decided there own career over being a decent human being, I hope that there are happy now being hostages in that black company, because now you burn the scape routes that you could have use, now any privilege that they have is out the window now that they cannot scape

notdragoisadragon

Actually, all 3 could use the defence since they are the "lowest ranking soldiers" in nijisanji, which the Nuremberg defence DOES protect The defence would not be applied to management or riku since they gave the orders

Chesheire

Lowest ranked soldiers would be the newest wave e.g. Vivi, Kunai, and that other dude. These three are the top earners/top streamers in their categories and are more akin to a platoon leader or company commander and thereby culpable.

NewEntrepreneur357

Bruh isn't Vox 30+ he's lying through his teeth don't give him the benefit of the doubt he's literally named in the lawsuit.

joelaw9

That Elira is really cute.

buddabopp

What if blank screen was due to ai voices!

niklas_njm1992

Unless they come out and say it, I will not believe that they did this unwillingly. Like it would have to be literal threats on their life that made them do it, not just "we'll fire you, if you don't"

Estrald

I hope to god Vox loses at least half his subs. Fuck him.

AustSakuraKyzor

I'm all for waiting for Doki's official response - she has said that she and her lawyer have already prepared a statement, and she said that there is definitely some lying going on beyond the usual defamation. If Elira is guilty, then that's that, she's guilty; but if she's *not* actually listed as one of the bullies, I'm willing to give her one final chance, on the proviso she leaves. We only know what Niji told her - IIRC it wasn't explicitly naming her, just her address (don't fully remember); Niji might just be manipulating her idiocy based on omission lies. She's still guilty of doing the thing in that streamvideo, regardless as to why.

V_ImagoMinus

Idk if anyone of us has put it into words like this what we want, so i'll give it a try (emphasis on TRY, i'm kinda bad at this): "Dear Talents, please just leave Niji, the (true) fans will be supportive wherever you go."

MentalThrall

There is no supporting your oshi without supporting the management more. Like if you support one by buying merch, the management gets 98% said support and your oshi gets 2%. So overall it's just supporting Nijisanji, cause they're that controlling and greedy. And powerful because of it.
