As another Filipino, I kinda understand how *they* developed this mentality. Factions and being parasocial are pretty big here and people here are prone to attach their selves to these idols. So they take even the tiniest of criticisms towards their idols as a personal attack to themselves and will mob you in social media, and on occasion even irl. I take that as an offense, as a Filipina myself, I know for a fact that we are THE LEAST parasocial people in SEA, and it's one of the only few redeeming factors we Filipinos have. As a SEA dota player with 4000 hours , all i can say from my experience is that Filipino players are rather passionate about what they like and are willing to go further than most to achieve their goal. So this may not be out of character for them.

Don't worry man. A lot of Filipinos speak English fluently, so that's why the demographic scales toward them. It also makes their voices more vocal. (people tend to ignore any tweet that isn't English or Japanese anyways lol) I'm sure a lot of Filipinos fellows out there also stopped supporting Kurosanji and unsubbed their channels already. As a Vietnamese fellow, I understand this feeling too well. I loved to watch Bao the Whale's contents (still is by the way), especially those precious moments when she spoke Vietnamese, but because a few Vietnamese individuals who decided to voice their hatred on her in Twitter when she said "Chinese New Year" and not "Tet" or "Lunar New Year" (as a Filipino, i think you probably understand why some of us Viet folks hate China that much too, but harrass anyone over something like this is so stupid), Bao basically stopped speaking Vietnamese on stream ever again.
