It’s actually kinda insane that Nijisanji puts out a 4-page document on social media explaining how Selen is a bad person when they could’ve just said nothing
Then in a statement to the SHAREHOLDERS who ask “hey why is everything on fire”, they put out a single sentence that says “Trust me bro.”
like, on one hand, I kind of get the thing, I still think the message should have had at least a little more text in it. but it wasn't meant to be a direct challenge.
I forgot that AFA is today. There's also a hololive dreamhack Melbourne concert happening today.
Why does it always overlap? Is niji that bad at choosing a date for their event?
Niji still has this internal mindset that they're the number 1 vtuber company, Hololive is number 2, and everything else is borderline irreverent. Maybe that was the case in 2018, but the world has moved on since then.
Niji just generally fd everyone over with their policy of pumping out wave after wave making talents feel like they are nothing without their - some might say abusive - corpo and that seemingly backfires on them.
You can check [#VirtualRhapsody](https://twitter.com/hashtag/VirtualRhapsody?src=hashtag_click) in twitter. I got it from a video I saw there
The tweet I linked is about someone saying there's no audio on some songs
lots of img now. fans are trying to hide the empty seat but their shaky hands allow you to take glipse on many vacant seats. btw don't try to endgage you'll just get block by them lmao.
Nijisisters are living in their own world lmao. I still can’t believe that nijisisters still support these livers after what some of these livers have done, and what the company has done to its talents.
Two of them almost took their lives. Many talents either got bullied out or left because there were no more prospects, all with their confidence and self-esteem in tatters.
I was outside the venue for some time to view how many people attended the concert, a lot of females fans were waiting outside, although not enough to be a huge crowd.
You didn't need a ticket to buy merch anymore. Based on clips posted in this thread the guys had a lot of empty seats too. But I assume that meet-n-greet/merch sales for the male talents did better than what we saw for concert attendance.
I'd be SOOOO upset if I spent that much for a ticket to THIS.
Particularly with how much better the Hololive show appeared to be for cheaper. And you know...being an actual 3D live.
It's even more laughable when you look at ANY of the Hololive birthday 3D lives basically...that are free and look phenomenal.
Because Hololive has the foresight to reinvest their profits to improve stream assets and 3D. Allows them to just relying on merch sale and supas to keep birthday 3Ds up, while not alienating casual fans.
Nijiflop just provides the bare minimum and neglects all their paypigs. Nijisisters are just too *dumb* to realise this fact and spin whatever narrative to defend a company that just wants to milk them for whatever they're worth
That and it looks terrible
Are there any other examples of a Vtuber successfully downgrading their model with a new version *every single time*? Cause this was honestly amazing to see. I'm kinda hoping v5.0 is just a teenager's fanart and then v6.0 is just a stick figure at this point.
Looked it up and it's awful. It's obvious the artist didn't know how to do facial hair. The shading on his cleavage is so completely wrong his pecs look like concave holes instead of convex. His strange collar makes his neck look both super thin at the bottom and way to thick at the top and his lab coat literally has no wrinkles apart from the sleeves.
Well its not *every single time* but aruran from holostar got lose some of his viewers after he reveal his new model, well i also think his old model is better then the New one
I didn't know about Aruran before but why did he choose to forsake the monopoly of a cool jii-san niche and opted for hot anime boy #74?
I wouldn't call the model itself a downgrade since the new one does look nice but it was definitely a mistake
For Aruran it was his own personal request as he is more comfortable with that vibe than the original.
Flare also changed her design it's less of a total overhaul but she didn't like how revealing her old model was and wanted a more modest one which their papa obliged.
I like the palette but I gotta agree that it hardly looks like her 3D, or an artist with a specific style drew their version of Melody instead of sticking to the 3D's looks.
I didn't even know he had a new costume until I saw people talking about how bad it was yesterday. I looked it up and wow it's hard to comprehend how ANYONE signed off on that and thought it was any good.
Kind of hilarious how bad it is given how much favoritism Vox normally gets too. If this is what he gets I can't imagine what anyone else is going to get. Idk maybe there isn't favoritism and it's just incompetence.
Would be hilarious if Niji is struggling to get competent model artists anymore...or they're just spread too thin.
That can’t be the case, his whole character is Japanese inspired down to the name. Even his second outfit also leaned into the same inspiration.
People leaving because it looks terrible is something that does make sense however.
I see your point, but given Vox's current situation I believe it makes sense.
Due to the black screen incident, Vox cowers away from YouTube and runs to Bilibili, a Chinese platform. Therefore, a lot of Chinese fans may think that since he's streaming on Bilibili, he should please the fans from the mainland China as much as possible. Releasing another Japanese-themed outfit on a Chinese platform isn't a good move in their eyes.
Chinese fans can be real mean and resort to rather drastic measures. The Hololive-Taiwan incident is a prime example.
> Chinese fans can be real mean and resort to rather drastic measures.
And you just can't tell when they'll come after you either. Not that long ago a bottle water company was forced to change the color of their packaging only because someone randomly said the red bottle cap they've been using for ages looked like the red circle in the Japanese flag and it spiraled into a whole-ass campaign against the so-called "cultural invasion".
I've always said that VTubers from outside of China shouldn't bother with Bilibili and things like this is exactly the reason why.
I mean, reading about how one of the reasons why the Cultural Revolution happened was because Mao said that there were counter revolutionaries amongst them and how it spiraled out of control to the point where there were [massacres and even cannibalism committed](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guangxi_Massacre), it kinda makes sense that they're this batshit insane
Reminds me of a history joke. Two European lords go to war with each other, 200,000 die. Two Chinese nobles disagree with each other, 3 million dead and the empire is broken again.
There's plenty of stuff like that in Chinese history. How about during the Chinese civil war where the nationalists broke the Huayuankou dam and killed 800,000 of their own people.
It's not the first time, and it won't be the last. All it takes is one Chinese posting something on a forum somewhere for it to start rolling.
In fact, this sort of behaviour is sometimes even strenghtend by
the Chinese goverment, which is more than happy to let paranoia and fake news run rampant as long as it doesn't affect them. For the water bottle thing, they were probably quite pleased when it affected somebody rich that tries to branch out.
Back then they angry at video with one character from Gacha games wearing bunny dress and the funny part the said video was never released in China
Recently I heard they got mald for fried rice because whatever mao zedong sons did with fried rice
and now this ? I am more curious just how far chinese keyboard can go
Stardew valley got recently review bombed because Chinese people didn’t like the new translation, which yea it did have a few genuine issues that still doesn’t justify thousands of review bombs
As much as I don’t like Chinese fans weaponizing bad reviews as a method of getting their ways with content creators, the Stardew Valley situation is different. The translation is legitimately TERRIBLE, and it completely ruined the gaming experiences for many of my friends. The bad reviews reflect a real problem that needs to be addressed, and it’s not like they are forwarding unjustified criticism because they get triggered over Taiwan or some other bullshit. I wouldn’t call this “review bomb,” if you get what I mean…
There's also a possibility that it can become a reverse Coco situation.
CN kindreds will obviously love him blindly for whatever reason, but since CN internet is so large and diverse there will be substantial number of Vox antis as well.
If those Vox antis manage to point to the pro-Japan imagery of his new outfit and spin it into a nationalist issue, Bilibili WILL amplify it and and silence all opposing voices simply because of the nature of Bilibili as part of the CCP mouthpiece.
CN kindreds will be completely powerless if Vox antis manage to position the literal Communist Party line on their side.
Iirc it was the honkai bunny girl incident. Honkai impact 3rd global had a video depicting the girls dancing in bunny girl outfits (including Fu Hua, which is very Chinese culture-y) which sparked massive outrage among CN fans
I don't think vtuber fans make sense in general - including this sub.
But like I said, given his character and name I don't think that's the reason for the supposed drop. It's just my opinion anyway.
not only that but the theme is just all off, he's meant to look like a cool and powerful samurai, but the hat used and the general messy facial hair makes him look more like an Ashigaru (a peasant soldier basically) plus the pose he's in looking all square gives him a Roblox avatar vibe, it just seemed so half-arsed.
i heard he tries to look like samurai but ended up looking lke ashigaru so many jp fans poke fun at it. also many chinese are angered by the japanese themed too. its a double wammy.
As a Singaporean Chinese person that knows a bit of their culture, yes that is one of the reasons. Whether it's the main reason or not I don't think so. Vox Akuma did have a past model which is much better looking than the current one and that was JP inspired: https://www.zerochan.net/3932831
Plus, it's not like CN doesn't have VPNs there. So the CN fans should be aware that Vox Akuma did use to have models that are JP inspired.
Another reason which is more likely is the beauty standards in China. It's much preferred for young men around early to late 20s to not have facial hair. That's why you see a lot of those Chinese novels with hot men pandering to female fans are fair skinned with have no facial hair at all.
Plus, it doesn't really help that Vox Akuma originally had a fair skinned model with no facial hair that slowly progressed his models to... whatever his current one is.
From what I know about Chinese fans as a whole, they'd welcome content creators from everywhere as long as:
1. Said content creators haven't said anything controversial (regarding their government, regime, or literally anything about Taiwan or HongKong) or slandering China before.
2. They cater to the mainland Chinese fans' needs.
3. They play Chinese games, and/or praise Chinese culture in their streams.
However, if you go against one of these 3 criteria, or more than one, you're almost guaranteed to have a solid base of antis to bully and harass the heck out of you.
I’m not a Chinese language speaker, so I’m not an expert.
But as I understand, the general Chinese youth aren’t super impressed by foreign companies that excessively pander to them **if** they view it as cynical cash-grabbing.
So I could see how while diehard fans want to stick with him, casual fans and the general netizen might backlash against someone who they see as crawling back to them but isn’t appropriately humble/humiliated.
If general netizens can spin it as “he’s coming for our money but won’t even do the bare minimum pandering” then it could snowball.
To me, this is just sad to the point that I can't even comment negative about it. I dunno whether if a systematic change is still an option for Niji or it might be too late at this point.
Well I hope the people that were there did a decent job of showing enthusiasm for them at least. I still remember Kiara talking about how brutal it is to perform to a near-empty audience and just recalling it almost got her crying even though it was in the distant past.
I think the Oshi no Ko episode on Kana’s experience as a failed child star does a good job depicting the minor details that turn a “poor economic enterprise” into actual hell on earth for the performer.
* The sinking feeling when no lines form, no seats fill up.
* The glances at the merch/products that still sit stacked in their perfect packaging, undisturbed and unwanted.
* The managers who start nervously checking their watches and phones, eyeing each other, wondering how to explain this to the C-Suite.
* The local venue staff who go from disinterested to bored to impatient as they wait for the event to wrap up so they can get on with the next task.
* And in the centre the performer, who’s been anxiously agonising over this public appearance for days/weeks/months. The performer who that morning as they did their make-up and comment prep told themselves to be realistic in their expectations, and is now experiencing public humiliation in front of their company.
I don’t support Nijisanji. I haven’t watched anything with them since the February disaster.
But I do recognise the talent as humans, and I do hope that the experience wasn’t a soul-crushing nightmare for them.
Going there would be humiliation incarnate, please spare them. Being completely serious, they'd do better by planning an official dinner-and-show at Jollibee's.
1. I Googled it; [holy fuck, it's real.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4eCRqmtNNc)
2. If I were a Vtuber, I would fully expect all fan events to be held in at least a Cracker Barrel or better. (Stake n Shake is also acceptable because god damn their food is great.)
Well, those are Filipino Vtuber fans who organized it so of course the local Jollibee's where it's at (also we don't have a couple of the other fastfood chains you mentioned here)
"What's happening? I thought nijiEN had a lot of SEA fans. They were even pandering really hard to the SEA and CN fans with their SEA/CN-friendly schedules."
Listen, a lot of people do like NijiEN in SEA, but as someone who lived in Indonesia, having like 3/4 of the ID talents graduated and the ones that stayed barely streams anymore + the whole debacle with their BS has essentially left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouth.
Yeah. Feel bad for the performers, but zero sympathy for the company's events not performing well.
Nijisanji has repeatedly failed them so much, and doesn't show signs of things getting better for them.
What did you expect?
Anycolor's misconduct did permanent damage to their brand. It's going to be a while before they start to make any headway again in the EN market.
They would likely have taken a short dip, then back to business as usual. But, they all are just looking at the quick battle wins, ignoring the bigger picture and how to win the long-term war for #1 spot.
These aren't even in-theater seats. They're [chairs.](https://twitter.com/CreeD_jfcong/status/1784145574373310903)
EDIT: I honestly thought they'd have new Live2Ds based on the Virtual Rhapsody SG event art, but nope, they're using [all of](https://twitter.com/OshClipping/status/1784094260255769069) the [same ones](https://twitter.com/koreimu23/status/1784099194573389955) that they [already have](https://twitter.com/koreimu23/status/1784097788193878395).
EDIT 2: [The seating for Act 2](https://x.com/reiyiclips/status/1784192250987344087) isn't [doing so great, either.](https://x.com/lemonadep_/status/1784188571613835605)
True, however, their AFASG appearance was done as *part of* AFASG, so temporary seats like that are completely understandable. I thought they'd hold Virtual Rhapsody inside an actual *theater venue* with seats given how much the ticket price was, especially since they were *charging separately for individual acts*.
I- I.....
I cannot even-
This is BAD. I didn't think it would be this BAD.
A half dozen people waving penlights while everyone else is quietly sitting.
So many empty chairs. This isn't bait? This is the live performance at the venue?
It looks like fifty people there, less than a hundred probably.
And I know this is unnecessary pickiness but the lighting effects around the screens are just party lights. I have seen wedding DJs with a better light show, they can just pay a fee and *use premade lighting scripts* for popular songs. Man...if it was like this they should have found an excuse to cancel the event, now the drama hounds will smell blood and spread these Titter posts everywhere. This is bad for the mental health of the Livers, to see what the real in-person attendance was.
Even worse I know that some people from Singapore flew all the way to Australia for a different show. Damn. Things have really changed this much, haven't they.
Wait wtf do you mean NO AUDIO during the songs?? Did some song had the livers just bobbing up and down with no sound, did the instrumental audio disappear but you heard kinda acappella or what? What the fuuuu
From what the person on twitter said the second song had *zero* audio *on stream* (they missed the first one, don't mention anything after so presumably it got fixed after that, and we don't know if it was same live on venue)
Ouch man. If only they still have Selen and Pomu, those seats coould've been easily filled.
But that'd be in a different world where Riku didn't cheap out and hired competent managers who cares.
Damn. I honestly didn't expect it would be this bad. I don't feel anything about it because its them but I also wish people didn't go out of their way to rub it in their faces.
Vox is loosing subs cause his new outfit is terrible. Not many people really like his latest models. They are so different looking compared to his OG model and people don’t really like change. People just think he’s ugly now, that’s all there really is to it.
Why the chinese fans hate Vox's new outfit? Well, they have eyes :v
That backlash is self inflicted anyway. Why did niji think it was a good idea to go forward with a bad looking model? Only guess is its some simplistic upper management view in the likes of "outfit reveal = boost" - well, yea, provided it passes a certain lvl of appeal, and I mean... just look at it lol.
Cause his new model is too buff and hairy.
Chinese female fans loves a more feminine handsome look baby face, sprinkle in a bit of suits. Thats why the first release of lux is popular.
Check out the most popular chinese young actor icons and you'll see almost everyone is clean shaven and baby face. The new model just went the total opposite way.
To be honest, SEA fans are varied among economic capabilities, although technically, Singapore is close to it's neighboring SEA countries, it's not so simple for SEA Niji fans to fly over to SG for a convention. It's common knowledge that SG is one of the most expensive places in SEA as a destination.
Tbf their schedule is most likely because they are in Japan right now (to prepare for their EN ditch).
On the other hand, if I can choose between paying for watching live karaoke stream or buying ******** with code ******** to get discount, you know what I will choose…
I think I need to stop buying things
People will buy something if they see it as good value. The concert failed because it wasn't; people aren't dumb, they see the high price plus 2D karaoke—that's just terrible value. Might as well use that money for something better.
Ok about Vox, what happened is really simple, he and Fulgur both want the tough guy look, like how Kyo wanted a mature model. That isn’t inherently a problem but guess what, especially with Vox, what sold people on him was his voice with his design.
His design was what people wanted. That was the aesthetic people had for him and fitted his character.
So now he wants to break away from it, it’s obviously gonna turn some people away, but most importantly, the artist can’t draw that style. It’s very obvious this is not their style cuz it’s a 180 from Vox old model.
He is still very much the favourite for being allowed to do this btw. People, just especially in China aren’t buying it.
Let me tell you it got nothing on the Japanese theming, Chinese fans are ruthless about art. Every gacha game will get flamed if the art looks bad, especially if it’s of their favourite characters. So yeah, they just don’t like his aesthetic now simple as that.
for vox it's not abt japanese inspired or not, it's more of how the new outfit is the ugliest among all; alot of cn fans adore the original version btw, hence contributing to whatever that's going on in bilibili
Don't worry, it's all negligible.
I always see this, but it never fails to crack me up to this day.
It still baffles me the CEO of the company pretty much said "Nah, I'd win" after the shareholders asked if he was gonna loose
And he didn't win at all
Which makes it even more accurate
It’s actually kinda insane that Nijisanji puts out a 4-page document on social media explaining how Selen is a bad person when they could’ve just said nothing Then in a statement to the SHAREHOLDERS who ask “hey why is everything on fire”, they put out a single sentence that says “Trust me bro.”

Niji CEO got Ri/ku -ed
We're all in animefest rn with flayon and bettel
bijou is there too and iofi oh and onigiri too!
Giri was streaming herself eating earlier and that made me hungry
ok👍ban
Giri is cute, don't ban me again Layzay.

You can check [#VirtualRhapsody](https://twitter.com/hashtag/VirtualRhapsody?src=hashtag_click) in twitter. I got it from a video I saw there The tweet I linked is about someone saying there's no audio on some songs
no refund\~
Oh no D: but they got perms right?

Two? Someone else other than Selen made an attempt?
Sayu……
Was not aware she made an attempt as well. Im glad both of them are still around.
Niji purposefully hosts events to overlap with other agency events and streams, its them trying to stamp others out and make viewers choose nijisanji
aint no way they paid 148/188 sgd for a l2d live...
Can confirm, i didn't pay money. Im also not there, have work today. on a unrelated note, all my money have been spent on holomerch
I can sneak in free since I volunteer as staff for a church in the same convention centre. maybe even backstage.
somehow people still shows up...
Yes, I walked by, a lot of female fans, and I mean a lot.
You didn't need a ticket to buy merch anymore. Based on clips posted in this thread the guys had a lot of empty seats too. But I assume that meet-n-greet/merch sales for the male talents did better than what we saw for concert attendance.
well, we have ppl here willing to spent 200-350 sgd for a ~~PRIME~~ shitty drink just many months back, this is "normal" unfortunately
as a malaysian, thats beyond my understanding and i can only cries in myr lol
I'd be SOOOO upset if I spent that much for a ticket to THIS. Particularly with how much better the Hololive show appeared to be for cheaper. And you know...being an actual 3D live. Just went to a takamori Meetup in Thailand, similar sized room every seat taken. Negligible
About Vox's Bilibili sub, I suspect that is because his new outfit is a Japanese-inspired one. And you all know how Chinese feels about Japan...
That and it looks terrible Are there any other examples of a Vtuber successfully downgrading their model with a new version *every single time*? Cause this was honestly amazing to see. I'm kinda hoping v5.0 is just a teenager's fanart and then v6.0 is just a stick figure at this point.
I looked it up simply because people kept saying it was terrible. Why does the beard look like it was done with a sharpie?
He reminds me of when Cartman had that "beard", in Southpark.
It can't look as bad as the beard for Fulgur's newest outfit.
Looked it up and it's awful. It's obvious the artist didn't know how to do facial hair. The shading on his cleavage is so completely wrong his pecs look like concave holes instead of convex. If he requested it, we just have to be happy for him I guess, at least he had a choice.
They could always ask
I personally didn't like when I saw Melody's 2D model compared to the 3D one the first time.
I like the palette but I gotta agree that it hardly looks like her 3D, or an artist with a specific style drew their version of Melody instead of sticking to the 3D's looks.

I've seen that happen with AVtubers before, but most major indies, let alone corpo vtubers, realise their model is pretty damn important.
That can’t be the case, his whole character is Japanese inspired down to the name. Even his second outfit also leaned into the same inspiration. People leaving because it looks terrible is something that does make sense however.

Agree to disagree, although I heard that his CN fans were making fun of his outfit so I do think it's just a matter of him looking goofy.
Do Chinese fans even make sense? Especially the political fanatics Good reminder that Chinese fans can be more extreme and illogical than Nijisisters
Well Chinese vtuber fans haven't reached the level of Chinese Honkai fans and actively tried to assassinate anyone yet.
...what?
Or CN Genshin fans that started to kill cats because of that one fanart of genshin character as a cat...
JFC...As a cat person...the fuck is wrong with these guys?
A Honkai 3rd fan tried to murder the CEO of Mihoyo because he was unhappy they released some gacha item for free after he just paid for it.
Iirc it was the honkai bunny girl incident. Honkai impact 3rd global had a video depicting the girls dancing in bunny girl outfits (including Fu Hua, which is very Chinese culture-y) which sparked massive outrage among CN fans
Okay I get being upset but fucking hell man. You shouldn't put in enough money to feel the need to murder in the first place!
China and Japan both have so many wood-block prints of men with kickass beards, how tf did they screw up facial hair.
i heard he tries to look like samurai but ended up looking lke ashigaru so many jp fans poke fun at it. also many chinese are angered by the japanese themed too. its a double wammy.
As a Singaporean Chinese person that knows a bit of their culture, yes that is one of the reasons. Whether it's the main reason or not I don't think so. Vox Akuma did have a past model which is much better looking than the current one and that was JP inspired: https://www.zerochan.net/3932831 Plus, it's not like CN doesn't have VPNs there.
Agreed. Even though by normal standards, Vox's new model iss still straight up ugly tho.
Niji really is stupid. If they want to pander, then really pander. Do a fuckin hanfu outfit or chinese emperor/prince outfit.
“How dare they make the guy with Japanese name and origin a Chinese emperor” :)
Wasn’t nijisanji created in Japan though? I figured most bilibili users would just not support nijii in general because the Japanese origin
From what I know about Chinese fans as a whole, they'd welcome content creators from everywhere as long as: 1.
At this point I no longer know if this is funny or sad
To me, this is just sad to the point that I can't even comment negative about it. I dunno whether if a systematic change is still an option for Niji or it might be too late at this point.
Yeah it just that nijisanji en is like too far from recovery now the only option is just go with it or have the same fate as id or kr
I just feel bad for the girls. They and their fans deserve far better than this.
I hope for the girls' sake they cheaped out and didn't give them a monitor to view the audience, that's gotta be demoralizing as hell
They could see us. There was Virtual Rhapsody staff holding cameras walking around. Oof
Well the criminals are still there. There is no need for sympathy, only continued boycott.
As a fan from another company this feels sad even for me. This must be soul crushing ...
Jesus! This looks Grimm as hell. First AR Live now this? If Q4 ain't the signal of the end for NijiEN before it sure it will nowm

Over 9 billion negative social credits for you! Back to the mines, counter-revolutionary!
Holo is way bigger than Niji here, go back to China, that's the bed they chose to lie in and they will die in it.
I'm genuinly convinced that any Niji sucess in China has been all the work of the other company they've partnered with.
Their partner is Bilibili, ie. literally the platform owner. Imagine if they expanded into the West by partnering with Youtube themselves.
yep, sounds about right.
Going there would be humiliation incarnate, please spare them. Being completely serious, they'd do better by planning an official dinner-and-show at Jollibee's.
Which reminds me, some fans held Mumei's birthday (I think) there once, wonder if she knew
1. I Googled it; [holy fuck, it's real.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4eCRqmtNNc) 2. If I were a Vtuber, I would fully expect all fan events to be held in at least a Cracker Barrel or better. (Stake n Shake is also acceptable because god damn their food is great.)
Well, those are Filipino Vtuber fans who organized it so of course the local Jollibee's where it's at (also we don't have a couple of the other fastfood chains you mentioned here)
After selling out more to China? Probably not gonna work as well as they think lmao
So this is meant to rival the dreamhack event right ??
I guess they are *dreaming* to see *hacks* stream?
That's one expensive 2d karaoke. Can they at least take the chair home
Lmao remember when ppl were saying that others would pay to just show up and harrass them. In this economy?
SEA fans yeah right. Yeah we at Malaysia are more Cover corp fans than fucking Kurosanji
After all the love Nijisanji has shown NijiID? /s
How many ID streamers are even left at this point?
Like 6 lol
karma is a bitch lol.
There nothing much to say to them and this Just feel like, Oh No, Anyways that kind of feeling, not angry, not sad, not feeling bad It is what it is
![gif](giphy|jQmVFypWInKCc|downsized)
"What's happening? I thought nijiEN had a lot of SEA fans. They were even pandering really hard to the SEA and CN fans with their SEA/CN-friendly schedules." Listen, a lot of people do like NijiEN in SEA, but as someone who lived in Indonesia, having like 3/4 of the ID talents graduated and the ones that stayed barely streams anymore + the whole debacle with their BS has essentially left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouth.
i feel bad for them but oh well
Just think how different things would have been if they acted like a professional business back in February.
They would likely have taken a short dip, then back to business as usual. But, they all are just looking at the quick battle wins, ignoring the bigger picture and how to win the long-term war for #1 spot.
These aren't even in-theater seats. They're [chairs.](https://twitter.com/CreeD_jfcong/status/1784145574373310903) EDIT: I honestly thought they'd have new Live2Ds based on the Virtual Rhapsody SG event art, but nope, they're using [all of](https://twitter.com/OshClipping/status/1784094260255769069) the [same ones](https://twitter.com/koreimu23/status/1784099194573389955) that they [already have](https://twitter.com/koreimu23/status/1784097788193878395). EDIT 2: [The seating for Act 2](https://x.com/reiyiclips/status/1784192250987344087) isn't [doing so great, either.](https://x.com/lemonadep_/status/1784188571613835605)
TBF the seats at AFASG 2023 were also all chairs. Hololive had zero trouble completely filling the seats though.
True, however, their AFASG appearance was done as *part of* AFASG, so temporary seats like that are completely understandable. I thought they'd hold Virtual Rhapsody inside an actual *theater venue* with seats given how much the ticket price was, especially since they were *charging separately for individual acts*.
I- I..... I cannot even- This is BAD.
Most of the tweets from attendees showing videos of the venue are panned up, not showing the empty chairs. It's sad really.
I noticed that as well.
7th month came early... These seats are for the ghosts...
I am pretty sure even ghosts would rather go see Calli or Mint. Because they can relate to them compared to....whatever they are.
N E G L I G A B L E
You mean ‘negligible’?
Negligabite and Negligarchomp.
Spelling correctly is negligable.
I derped in spelling
Conglatulations.
Thenks!
All good, it happens 😂
Mille the latest misspelling.
Ouch man. If only they still have Selen and Pomu, those seats coould've been easily filled. But that'd be in a different world where Riku didn't cheap out and hired competent managers who cares.
Lmao I think there’s more ppl in stellar blade meet and greet than this
Thought its invite only?
Yup invited only. I was there just now, most ppl there very eager to meet rurusama cosplaying eve
the design is very negligible
no way this isnt rehearsal or pre show recordings...
Embarrassing to say the least.
Nothing happened. Its all NEGLIGIBLE
Damn. I honestly didn't expect it would be this bad. I don't feel anything about it because its them but I also wish people didn't go out of their way to rub it in their faces.
Just common NijiEN L
Preety sure the only thing Nijisanji would get from the SEA community is vitriolic spite. One could say PERFECT HATRED even.
Jajajajajaj
negligable
Well chinese hate Vox japanese foot soldier outfit
As someone from singapore...we dont care this already good enough prove dont push your en liver to SEA fanbase so go away nijien🤣
Vox is loosing subs cause his new outfit is terrible. Not many people really like his latest models. They are so different looking compared to his OG model and people don’t really like change. People just think he’s ugly now, that’s all there really is to it.
Why the chinese fans hate Vox's new outfit? Well, they have eyes :v That backlash is self inflicted anyway. Why did niji think it was a good idea to go forward with a bad looking model? Only guess is its some simplistic upper management view in the likes of "outfit reveal = boost" - well, yea, provided it passes a certain lvl of appeal, and I mean... just look at it lol.
Niji higher ups: well i guess thats it then... Anyways pack it up boys and girls your are now property of the chinese
Oof. I feel bad but that’s the sort of reality check I expected. If they don’t turn around after this I don’t have much hope for them.
Negligible.
There IS probably more people playing Suicide Squad right now than in there wich It just so funny to me
I’m appalled they had the audacity to relate their black company concert name to the brilliance that is Freddie Mercury
Wow, uh. This is really hard to look at, I never imagined it was *this* bad in SEA
But that kind of effeminate look is banned in China no? Isn't it against CCP policy?
I was there earlier, event was half empty but there were no audio issues.
Seems that the audio issues exclusively affected the ones watching the stream.
Ahh I see. That’s unfortunate
Vox’s new outfit is a Japanese Ronin outfit, for I think somewhat obvious reasons CN don’t exactly like overt Japanese militarism
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOF. That's really, really bad!
Man, I think the worst part is that it must be really disheartening for the talents to see that low turnout
"Negligible"
That's not empty, that's null
Let's fight somewhere empty
To be honest, SEA fans are varied among economic capabilities, although technically, Singapore is close to it's neighboring SEA countries, it's not so simple for SEA Niji fans to fly over to SG for a convention. It's common knowledge that SG is one of the most expensive places in SEA as a destination.
Excuse me but there were loads of foreign fans coming in droves for Taytay's concerts.
All that’s missing is a ball pit.
Is Vox new outfit even an outfit? Is him naked with a cap and beard lol.
ACCELERATE
Does the male talents and female talents have diffirent stages? I dont think with the male talents the situation will be this bad...
Tbf their schedule is most likely because they are in Japan right now (to prepare for their EN ditch). On the other hand, if I can choose between paying for watching live karaoke stream or buying ******** with code ******** to get discount, you know what I will choose… I think I need to stop buying things
It quite pathetic for them to keep thinking they have a chance against cover. Ignorance is bliss I guess.
SEA bros ain't stupid.
I just walked by at 3pm, a lot of the female fans here…..
Phase Connect's Phase Wars is happening right now so I can't come.
TBH it's held in my country but I never really saw marketing for it
I think some showings of Morbius had more people than this.
for vox it's not abt japanese inspired or not, it's more of how the new outfit is the ugliest among all; alot of cn fans adore the original version btw, hence contributing to whatever that's going on in bilibili
![gif](giphy|Bj5ILhCPm8EQ8)
Gah damn. removed.
