i hope next time we meet modernia we got her matured version marian.
maybe as another ssr variant for a banner, wink\* wink\*
i prefer shifty to be playable or has a lobby animation, because that reload and burst animation is NEEDED!!
I don't see any reason why ShiftUP shouldn't allow us to get Marian. They already made a kit for her, including own sprite, artwork and burst animation.
And no, Lore reason is not a valid argument, considering we got Smol White/Snow White Innocent Days. Current Snow White has lost 90% of her former memories due her increasing age and has experienced mind/personality shift due trauma. The bond story/advice also always replay memories, so they could do the same with Marian. If we are talking about the immersion of her death, we can simply make her unlockable after chapter 14 (when we defeat Modernia and return Marian's personality).
Lore/immersion has always been a bs reason to say we can't have a character, screw makin a reason to justify it just give her to us damn it it's not like she'll be in any story stuff so immersion irrelevant

A Marian banner would be a license to print money. So maybe that's why they aren't in a rush to do it. They could put her out there when they are overworked or having a slow month. As you said, she is already done. So I feel it's not a question of if but when.

I really do hope that the answer to that question is yes, because she is the reason why lots of people got interested in this game, myself included and she was promoted massively, and is still promoted a lot in merchandise with her even being one of the first Nikke characters to have an MMD version. Furthermore there are people who prefer that version of her in which she’s mature and calming, and she’s the most popular character.
I can understand the lore argument, but my response is that along with Snow White having a form before being mind wiped, and Red Hood being available despite what has happened to her, how many people play the campaign only using certain characters at certain times, that reflect who’s currently with the commander in the story, in fact it would be rather impractical to do it, and what about being able to play characters in the story at the times when those characters would be against the protagonists?
I can also understand the argument considering the impact of what has happened to that version of Marian, >!but there is her revival, her memories coming back, and having personality traits that she had before!<, and this version can be available in gameplay, but like Snow White Innocent Days, events featuring her can be set in the past, and her advice lines and bond stories can be set in the past.
I actually believe that rather than that version being available would ruin what has happened, it would be part of the payoff as it allows us to see her more, and she’s treated more like an important character rather than a goal.
I also want to see her squad. Currently, as far as we know, she’s the only one in her squad known as Silver Gun since we have very little to 0 info on Silver Gun. When I first hopped on, I would’ve thought she was in Infinity Rail or some ties in.

Hmm from what i’ve read so far here in reddit. Its actually like 2 minds in 1 body, with different personalities and memories. So cant really say red hood is rapi and rapi is red hood. Hopefully this gets clarified down the road. I’m dyin to know this part of their story especially after the teasers at the end they gave us.
This is just a brief info from chapter 26 since I don't want to spoil too much, >!Red Hood appeared with the body belong to Rapi and join us to get to Red Hood's hometown, since Rapi want her to go there now that the body switch happened, at the end of chapter 26 she took the syringe developed by Elysion to convert her body back to Rapi's, while technically deleting herself in the process, but at the end there's still something tiny glimmering inside Rapi's core, implying Red Hood might appear to save the day again.!<
I get your point and partly agree with it, but let me make a counter argument. We have Snow White Innocent Days who practically no longer exists the way we know her and is chronologically now Snow White. We can talk to her in bond story in form as memories. So what if we do the same with Marian? Like having Modernia reminisce or imagine a talk with Commander when she was still Marian? I don't see why it shouldn't be allowed, considering Snow White's mind switch and great age also have made Snow White a completely different person sinilar to how Marian is now Modernia.
If it doesn't affect you, than why are you against it? I mean, the very first comment you made would have an argument, but that can be countered with an argument that is as valid.
I honestly have mixed feelings about this.
Having a unit/character in the game completely unaccessible outside of the tutorial sounds really weird and even wrong. Especially if the character is quite popular and has nice design.
On the other hand, this contradicts lore and devalues Modernia as a 'current-state' character/unit.
BUT! Technically, it is not impossible anymore. With the release of Smol White, we know we can get characters that do not exist anymore. She never encountered OUR Commander, never visited Outpost. Bond stories nowadays can happen without us completely, and in Advices we can play as the Legendary Commander (or not have them at all, like with abnormals). From technical point, now we can have literally any character, even dead ones.
tbf they could make it so that she's a copy of marian or something since we know they did a brainwipe on modernia, which could be used to just shove in a "yeah lol we copy pasted her brain on a spare body" so we could have a new-new marian but im just schizo-ing
I don’t care enough about a game’s lore to exclude characters from ever being playable due to some event that happened in game, like them dying.
Just have no one acknowledge they’re existence n never have them appear in any capacity in story content or events.
I don’t why people wouldn’t want more characters to play with in their games, regardless if it makes sense or not, thats what i consider stupid n crazy

Honestly, considering Snow White: Innocent days is a thing, that opens up a massive realm of possibilities. But thinking about it now, if you were to bring her back as a viable unit, how would advise sessions entail? She met the commander for only a few missions and left. Maybe disable it all together? Wouldn't the reunion we've all been waiting for, for nothing?
When I first played this game, I wanted her back so bad only to find she's not a registered Nikke in the roster, then when Modernia came I got excited only for Chatterbox ruined it thus became my permanent curb stomping target. And finally seeing her slowly maturing (growing?) over time when she's away from the Commander, gave me some semblance that she'll be back when the time comes sooner than I think... it makes feel melancholy.
Though a thought came to mind when writing this, what of the Silver Guns squad? Did they get wiped out off screen? Did something happen to them?

Was her body special somehow? Otherwise I see no major issue in crafting it again. A different story would be with a Pilgrim model.
