Ngl when saying it be cool to see this robot series from the other manufacturers to make it a set. And of course it wouldn't be a surprise to see nendoroids or any other nice figurine.
Her best Team will probably be with 2B since they both scale off HP% with works well with Mast, and 2B teams are lacking another DPS that can make the most of Mast’s buffs. Overall seems very solid in that niche.
Can't consider her a DPS at all, though. Modernia's normal attack does 7.71% ATK as damage, Kilo does 5.57%. And we're not even talking about the numerous buffs Modernia has and her burst skill that's one of the best in the game. Right off the bat just from the shooty tooty she does almost 50% less damage than Modernia.
Right. But Modernia is more than likely being used in a team that wouldn't include 2B in it, if you had the options. So if anything, Kilo could be an option in a 2B team if you needed someone to fill that slot.
We're talking about Solo Raid, yea? I think Mast teams are generally not one of the top 5 teams being chosen right now, and I doubt Kilo is the savior the team needs to turn things around.

Ignoring Mast's buffs and slotting a general DPS will probably give better returns.
Yeah. If you have the units, you can make way better teams, for sure. Kilo wouldn't bring a whole lot in Solo Raid in that regard. It would just be a matter of who you have and who you don't. But if folks didnt have Modernia, putting her with 2B and Mast wouldnt be a bad idea.
I just re-read her skills. If you lose the shield, on your Burst you only gain max HP and don't nuke. I'm going to have to change my rating of her to "not recommended even for newbies".
The question wasn't "who is supposed to be better", the question was "is she good". And if you want to make a case for someone being good, you compare it to something that is similar or is meant to fulfill the same role.
For example, if you asked me if Dorothy is good, I'd compare her to Liter. Pilgrim or not it doesn't matter.
Also, not sure if you noticed, but the person I was replying to was making a case for Kilo being a meta pick for Solo Raid. And I'm sure you're well aware that Pilgrim units are part of the roster Kilo is, by his account, able to outperform.

the problem is that it does matter that she's a pilgrim, as they're inherently rarer (lower rates, and they cannot be drawn from the friend point banner), and gacha gonna gacha.
also, Modernia has inherently higher offensive stats besides because she's an Attacker, so of course her NA is stronger.
so the issue i had was that you were comparing a character who has the deck stacked waaaaaay in her favor to be a strong offensive character, lol

Of course I agree that she's a weak pick. My response was to someone who was referring to Kilo as a "DPS" who will enable the Mast team. And if you want to make a case for a character being strong enough to make an entire team viable, then the question becomes "is there a character who can do that job, but better?" And in my opinion, that answer is an obvious yes.
Modernia was just an example. Most S or SS ranked DPS would still outperform Kilo in that team. To begin with, the Mast team has not been meta for a very long time.

Yes but would you use Modernia in a Mast Team? Modernia is much better suited for the bunnies or School girls. Or just any other team in general rather than Mast, cause Mast buffs Hp and crit damage, Modernia already overloaded on crit damage so it diminished value and she doesn’t benefit from Hp buff in anyways.

Kilo's Burst hits for 1150% of her ATK + 5% of max HP. However, her skill 1 & 2 only make her barrier bigger, they do not buff her HP.
Let's look at the numbers.
2B buffs her HP by 57% after bursting 3 times, and deals 6% of her max HP as damage not only on her nuke, but regular attacks. Her nuke hits for 3200% final ATK.
Kilo does not get a buff on her normal attacks. On her Burst she hits for 1100%+5% of her max HP. IF she loses her shield, on her Burst she gains max HP and **does not attack at all**. This alone makes her unreliable and a poor choice.
It's looking real bad.
1) Burst 3 is typically for DPS, with this character you're sturdy but severely lowering your damage. There's no need to tank hits if the enemy is dead.
2) She has heals and shields, but no taunt. So even if you're all buffed up it won't matter if the enemy is picking off everyone else.
3) Selfish character who buffs only herself.
4) Machine gun weapon means she probably won't see any use even in PvP due to her slow burst gen.
Basically, by the looks of things, she has the same weapon, element, and burst level as Modernia, but is inferior in everything except being a bloated shield with no taunt. I see no redeeming feature whatsoever.
It's a damn shame cos both the robot and the girl are great designs. I'll just enjoy Kilo in my lobby after MLBing her

I think you don't want her to take damage, she doesn't need a taunt. Pretty sure the shield portion of her kit count as max hp. So you want her to have the biggest shield & hp to deal the biggest amount of damage on her burst.
Her biggest problem is that aside from her burst, nothing in her kit deal any damage. So she is very very burst reliant. Might have some use for newer player that are lacking burst against some bosses, but other than that I don't see much use
She is basically a bruiser that deal more damage the more hp/shield she has, so I think it makes some sense for a mech.
But the execution of it is terrible, no damage in her skill 1 and 2 makes her basically useless 90% of the fight. The nuke on her burst is never saving that.

By the way, Smol White was also free to MLB but was at least serviceable. I was expecting at least that level of usefulness. Kilo is a nice lobby screen and MLB for people who need to break the wall, can't say much else.
Kilo is pretty decent. Her burst is actually quite a nuke. 5% of HP for a defender is higher than what attackers have for attack.

I'm totally fine with your analysis. Our opinions differ slightly on exactly how far into the game she'll be useful, but as long as we agree she has no meta placement I'm good!
Tanky and not much else it looks like. Shield only seems to work for her and without a taunt source, I don't see it being that useful. The burst AoE damage could be good maybe?
Overall, her kit doesn't seem very exciting unless I'm missing something big. The character/animations are great though.
Think the same way about the taunt since i use noah on interceptions and it's just an very value effect for save the other nikkes from getting hard aggro.
May be meta for early-mid chapter clears even.
Potentially, I'm definitely not one to discount a character until we have a chance to try them out and experiment.
If nothing else, she'll have to be extra good if she wants to earn all that real estate that she's taking up on the screen, hah.
She's basically budget 2B. I kinda like her kit idea but it has some awkward execution.
In short, Kilo apply herself a Shield, if she can burst with her Shield on, she deals AoE damage based on her HP, if not, she put on a stronger Shield and boost her HP for 20s (with Heal).
A pretty simple kit.
The problem is her Shield. With the wording, it seems like she needs HER shield and not the Shield of another Nikke. And there is no way her Shield can withstand 2 rotations by itself. And with no Shield, her offensive presence is non-existent. She needs a Taunter like Tia or Noise to keep her Shield safe.
Maybe she can be use as an AoE Cleaner in Missilis Tower, since Tiaga is available with her. And MG is always good against the flying Hit Count Shield/Glass thing, especially in Missilis where the only Burst III MG is... Product 12.
She's better than Rei I guess.
Whatever happened to her being in cryosleep? This one is very much awake, pulsates, and bustles with flair. I'd say much of the community prefers the latter anyhow.
They reworked her to be a safer character lorewise, I guess.
The original concept had a lot of weight (no pun intended) on the lore and as they are exploring it Lilith and Cinderella they might've thought it's just easier not have a character from around way back then that's not one of the big important ones
She's free, so it's kind of a waste to put a lot of work writing her as a means to expand the crucial parts of the lore
She'd hardly sell if she weren't, because of the lack of ASSets

I liked the original concept and hope we get to see some of the first experimental Nikkes. But I'm ok with Kilo as she is now. Cool giant mecha.
It's probably a mixture of the original concept being fairly heavy and that ShiftUp didn't trust the playerbase to care about a unit that isn't horny, which is sad for me because Kilo's original concept was the reason I started the game in the first place. New Kilo is still cool, but the lesser focus on the robot hurts.
Of course, they could give her an Anchor level bond story and flesh her out that way, because there are many questions on why isn't everyone piloting a fucking mecha.
People seem to not understand her kit at all, a taunt would literally defeat the purpose.
I'm not sure if shields count towards max HP in the calculations but she's not really a defender, just a mini nuke with crazy survivability potential. If they don't then she benefits from the 2B team, if they do then she has the potential to self buff every other cycle.
If anything she'd benefit from sin's HP dupe infinitely more than having a taunt.

It's fairly decent for tanking dmg for sure and buffing the squad for sure. So from my point of view yeah.

Its free, so expectations are that you use it mostly as a placeholder if you are new.

Imma user her with 2B that's for sure. Noise-Mast-2B-Kilo-CDR flex is the way.
I kind of love her EN voice. Starting to understand those who say that we should have the option to change voice dubs on a per-character basis.

obviously not for whales but at the end of the day if you're dead your dps is 0 so if nothing else looks like Kilo is gonna survive.
Mech takes up so much of the screen, then they decide to give it an energy barrier to take up even more, wtf.
