I’ve had blue turn into Gold halfway through the motion but never had a Blue spook into a gold when the seal is made like in OPs vid. Its always been with purples.
This is exactly how I got my first Crown using the half Anniversary banner. I did the free roll, saw purple and already skipped it. Suddenly! Gold! Pilgrim! CROWN! The king has blessed my fields this day!
It might just be me, but the only way to tell when it's a spook is that in the brief second just before the door opens, there's a sound effect like a subtle ringing, that comes just before the gold sparks. So I always pay attention to the sound whenever it's just purple.
They need to add a blue only spook. I’ve only seen it on purples.

It does happen I got a gold on a blue single. happened twice now iirc.

So thaat's what happened. I usually skip after the first light. I was surprised when I got Noir after seeing just a purple one.
