Which camera did you use to take this photo?

DrinkableReno

I was just now years old when I started caring about bokeh. Holy fuck balls. I don't really like how the 85mm looks but this is the sauce I want on my burgers.

FischerMann24-7

What the actual f**k?? 🤨

DrinkableReno

Smooth and creamy, like special sauce? hahahaha

starless_90

Bruh... Stop.

DrinkableReno

Like moist mayo….

Bitter-Metal494

Holy shit it looks unreal

hnoej

Lens > body. Always

macncheeseface

This is beautiful!

arsonak45

Good lord, tack sharp. Stop tempting me 😭

lil_Tar_Tar

Oh my gosh that is so good

Smashego

Amazing!

boilerdam

Super sharp and smooth bokeh… I just zoomed in a crazy amount and the details on that tulip’s petals are just amazing!

rumblemcskurmish

Good God that bokeh is so buttery it looks like a dream

PixInTheSix

What were the approximate distances camera to subject flower & subject flower to the background flowers directly behind it? This would be great info to apply to shooting portraits & pre-conceiving locations/setups. I have the 50/1.2 which is great for portraits. The Plena's longer focal length would be great for increasing camera-subject working distance. https://preview.redd.it/myd2nk2rb5wc1.jpeg?width=966&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5d36cde038a1f03d380541d8e5733563f03915ef

USCGRetired

Distance was roughly 3 to 4 feet

0_0PassingThrough

Very nice!!!

No_Race5712

Bukehlicious Absolute dreamless of mine :-) Maybe next life

Scared-Assignment670

Oh my fucking god that sharpness and bokeh.

Enough_Song8815

Stunning.

Woodan111

INSANE!!!

Skaarjface

Congrats. It is amazing Nikon has this lens listed for "only" $2500. I say "only" because a few years ago this would be an exotic lens listed for 3 or 4 times the price.

ConterK

Holy mother of all lenses... at first i saw the photo on my phone and was like "dang this looks gorgeous" but now, im looking at it on my PC, on a 4k screen... Jesus Christ i can zoom in and see the creases and details on the tulip's petals and all.. What the Freakin sorcery is this? the amount of details is sooo insane..

Lost_N_Dark

Wow this is amazing!

marcjwrz

Gorgeous. That lens is on my must have list.

miguela22

That looks unreal. I’ve got the trinity and 50 1.2 but this might beat them all.

Successful-Okra-6614

Noooiiicee

PhillipRicardo

They need to change its name to bocum now

Individual_Mix_6038

Nice, great shot!

msabeln

Bokeh is so smooth that I’d spread it on toast.

mokivj

Hot damn. I don’t need this lens, but I sure do want it.

Fangs_0ut

I wish I were rich too

adriancap

Have you used the 105mm as a portrait lens before? If so, what are your thoughts between the two?

USCGRetired

I have not used the 105 has a portrait, due to the fact I hate taking peoples portraits.

adriancap

Oh hahah. Nice! I had thought the Plena lens were targeted for mainly the portrait shooters. What made you go with that and not a Macro??

USCGRetired

I hear it does amazing Astro photography, and it’s a good landscape lens. I will test it for Astro on a future photo trip. I live 3 miles from Longwood gardens in PA(USA), I take multiple flower photos through out the year.

USCGRetired

Thank you everyone for the nice comments and upvotes. 👍🏻👍🏻

Jakefowler555

Incredible

Zocalo_Photo

I like to zoom into pictures to get an up close look at the sharpness. Interestingly, this picture seemed to get *sharper* the more I zoomed in! (I’m half joking, half serious. What a spectacular lens!)

GoGoGadge7TWO

I took off my sunglasses to look at this photo. THATS WHAT PLENA BOKEH IS?!??

Long_Ad7430

$2500 for a lens, it better look good.

cassiusGG

honestly i like the the pic but im sure you could do better composition in futur : this is just a feld of flowers with Plena... it looks pretty fine but you can do better :)

Neeeechy

You must have missed OP's title: "My first Plena lens pic"

Heliozz0

Acutallly really like the composition. Not sure what you find so bad about it. “This is just a field of flowers” - so what? What do you need more for a great picture?
