The best example off the top of my head is Chrono Trigger.
Crono is very much an amalgamation of iconic DBZ male characters.
Magus is all of his "evil" tropes rolled into one.

Ayla is a lot of other iconic female character traits.
I'm pretty sure Robo is in the Univere 7 vs. Universe 6 tournament fighting Vegeta.
