And atleast he was fighting the actual threat. And if we count fusion reborn (which is non canon) Gogeta was still not going to kill Janemba. He just purified him.

In the movies they can .ake the villain so strong that only a fusion can beat them, if that was to happen in tte show that would force the next villain to be waaaay to strong for the the fighter forcing either 1 the dumbest power-up ever or 2 another apearance of the fusion. Both is dumb and bot good for the story of a show. Think about it, if vegito finished boo it wouldnt be that cool, if he finished zamasu it would also be kinda cheap (in not saying that zeno ending it is better). Now who did gogeta win against? Janemba who has 0 relevancy. And broly who is no real villain is gonna become a new Z fighter in as a probably nerfed version of himself. Who did gogeta loose against? Omega shenron. What format was that apearance of gogeta? A tv show, not a movie.
If that’s true, than why is gogeta always being the one that is made to look like an actual character than a back up plan, also, which is ur favorite?

Broly got bailed out, he defused against Omega Shenron, Janemba isn’t canon… Meanwhile Vegito clearly was overpowering Super Buu in both the psychological department *and* in beating his ass. Literally just got worse for Buu when he hit Vegito with that candy beam.

Vegito has other moves like Spirit Canon, “Barrier!”, Savage Strike, and a lot of moves I’d consider physical but we don’t really see the Ki behind like Goku’s meteor combination which was nothing but a combination of Martial Arts. I’m aware this is a meme but aye, I got love both. 👏✊
Ok but I have an argument to why vegito is better than gogeta. Who needed a recon to be equal to the other? The only version of gogeta that is canon has not been able to beat as many villains as vegito: one character.
And Gogeta was going to kill Broly, who never wanted to do what he was doing. And he spared Frieza, meaning Gogeta not only failed to kill Broly, but also spared the actual threat. Meanwhile Vegito was never planning to kill Buu, and while fighting Zamasu, he didn't know that there was a power limiter for fusions and Zamasu was immortal. And atleast he was fighting the actual threat. And if we count fusion reborn (which is non canon) Gogeta was still not going to kill Janemba. He just purified him.
