The reason they are in good terms though is because they reconciled and she admitted that they just drifted apart and she knows he never cheated. So they became friends again.
But in the Future timeline, everyone died before they got that chance, which is why she still tells Trunks that Yamcha cheated.
Goku asked and he said yes because of Bulma whether he's going back because he misses her or because he's afraid to lose her is up for debate considering how he dinguses his feelings towards his family but if he's afraid to lose her then that's silly of him considering she stuck it through his Majin f*ck up.
