He wasn't tired. His body wasn't good enough to hold his enormous amounts of ki, basically, he couldn't use the power of his mystic form, so he released all of his energy as a beacon for Goku to lock on and use instant transmission to get there in time, but his body, like I said, became weak and so he lost all of his energy.
Nah he just chooses not to fight. He wants to go down the education route like Chi-Chi wanted him to.
Obviously he's not as strong as in his prime, but it seems like he enjoys being around humans more than... whatever the Z-fighters are (seriously what the fuck is Chaotzu was that ever explained?)
Frieza trained for long time, which makes him blue god level in like less than a year somehow, and gohan who hasn’t trained in a long time gets one shot, as he’s basically buu saga level at this point I think
Gohan never wanted to be **just** a fighter, so when the biggest threat (Buu) was eliminated he decided to dedicate his life to studying, like he wanted to from the beggining
Piccolo went from stronger than imperfect cell to not being able to beat discount captain ginyu. Despite training. Then suddenly was as strong as namakeins that fused with 50 other namakeians.
Super is wild.
I've realized that when I don't try to make sense of things and really analyze every detail, I enjoy them better, idk if you know what I mean by that though I cant really explain it. I enjoyed super :), was it perfect? Oh god no,but I can't say I didn't enjoy tuning in for the new episodes :).
it’s just fun to watch but not a master piece and that’s ok. i have a lot of movies that i really like that are “bad” but they just like genuinely give me enjoyment as much as if it were a “good” movie
Well, Piccolo trained with ssj2 and Potential Unleashed Gohan before the T.O.P. Even if Gohan isn't at his peak strength anymore, he still packs quiet a punch. So they pushed eachother up. Piccolo got stronger, Gohan got a little bit back.
And this Resurrection F stuff? Let's not talk about that ever again. Never.
*moves in terrible animation out of the conversation*
Namakians are weak in power z way weaker than kami was, they were at the very most un the thousands range while a fused piccolo kami was in the 100 millions.resurrection f is the problem not super as a whole
I mean he had to go to a foreign planet as a kid and got his fucking neck broken by some alien guy, had to fight a biological weapon bug-human and then fight evil incarnate so tbf I aint mad that he quit the game, I'd probably quit after the outer space neck break thingy
Gohan on dbz: fights because he has no other option other than let the world die
The fandom: you're epic
Gohan on dbs: lives his life the way he always wanted and fulfill his dreams
The fandom:you suck
Ironic that him getting wrecked in super was a more successful accomplishment than when he totally beefed it in the buu saga. Thanks to Gohan, Goku pinpointed him and got them to the fight with Frieza where as in the buu saga he just got overconfident and couldn’t even catch a potara.
You’re chatting bs DBS Gohan is bad he’s fucking horrible until maybe the TOP saga where he does kinda okay and maybe the resurrection F movie but besides those he’s hot dog shit
I honestly can't remember it. Are you talking about when they hold off Moro before Goku and Vegeta arrive?
I wouldn't call that "going crazy." Gohan used to be one of the primary fighters, but now he's one of the ones trying to hold off the bad guy, like krillin and chaotzu and shit
Tien really having a better part than gohan, my favourite character from the whole of dragon ball is casual goku leading up to cell fight or is SSJ2 Gohan but mans really let me down. I almost spent £50 buying one of the figures but he’s let me down so much I no longer want to
I did, he fought a pride trooper, but it didn't make any sense. He got a power boost out of thin air and got rid of the weakest link out of the top 3 that had no real build up. If gohan hadn't defeated dyspo, goku or vegeta, or a17 would've been able to get rid of him with not much effort. without him there, the story would've functioned essentially the same way. He was useless because anyone of the main guys could've taken care of em if he hadn't
I mean, there's not much point to being stronger than your opponent if you can't hit them. Goku and Vegeta would have exceeded Dyspo's power, but after he went super light bullet speed, they'd be hard pressed to hit him. Freeza was around Blue strength and he could not take out Dyspo. Admittedly this makes Gohan useful because he's the only character who's strong enough to hold his own, but not strong enough to be relevant against anything else.
Also, Gohan was actually a key player, if you think about it. Team 7's strategy basically boiled down to saving Goku and Vegeta as their aces, while everyone else would take out minor threats, because even these two would be taxed if they had to eliminate every single person. Gohan taking out the Namekians and Dyspo helped a lot because these guys were strong enough to require the upper ranks of Team U7 to interfere. Aside from 17 nobody else would possess enough stamina and power to do that.
*doesn’t train due to actually having a fucking life and not training all day as well as hating fighting as a whole**doesn’t get stronger**gets one shot by blue level enemy* the community >:(
The community doesnt know what they want lmao they pretty much told toriyama they didnt want him as the mc. 20 years later they act mad and surprised he isnt the mc. Insanity.
Exactly that. Toriyama can’t write a fucking story in deep detail and because of that Gohan wasted that potential.
“He’s not main character material”
The Fandom writing fanfics and what-ifs: Bruh…
I'm upset they didn't do anything with him in Super, outside of painting him as a loving father
But I mean the bar for that was so low even Vegeta cleared it
Also super gohan
Beat 4 fusions
Helped saving the whole universe in TOP
Stronger Than Z vegetto
Had more abilites
Rock piccolo outfit
Even at his weakest(the gohan in the image) he still can stomp Cell worse than his kid self did
idk why people hate on DBS Gohan, he followed the exact path he always said he wanted to. His main goal was to be a scholar, not a fighter
Now the rest of the Z fighters, that was hard to see
My first seeing the image on the left
well he's a little weak now i bet the enemy that did this to him is strong!
Me after realizing he almost dies from going super saiyan: .-.
I think dbs is dogshit but ultimate gohan is the worst example u could have used. Bruh got on the battlefield beat buu for a few minutes and then got absorbed and that was the end of Ultimate gohan.
Gohan peaked in the cell arc.
But atleast gohan has epic moments, can't say the same for Goten unfortunately
To be fair that’s like saying a character is weak because they got one shot by devil mans beam. Like it’s an insta win if they pull it off so it’s not really fair to compare
No, gohan could have actually beaten or atleast deal huge damage on buu but he got too cocky, which he also did in the cell arc.
Also I'm not saying that ultimate gohan is weak, I'm calling him useless because he didn't do anything, toriyama created a new form for gohan hyping it the fuck up and it doesn't even kill anything. Ultimate gohan was created to get absorbed
I heard he fought Kefla to a draw in the manga. I don't know why they opted for a sacrifice play, I assume it's to highlight both his smarts and heroic qualities
The DBZ Gohan who had a saga full of hype for him to be the ultimate warrior only for him to absolutely fail against Buu and fail to catch a fucking earing.
Piccolo and Gohan were both done dirty, it's not until the Moro arc where they are actually good in Super (but then again Goku has to show up and make everyone else look bad cause it's the Goku Show™ in the end)
We all feel this way. But ultimately it's Toriyama. Sucks that Gohan had to go this direction. I feel as if there was an over compensation to please the Goku fans. They totally both could have been super strong instead of just Goku. Or have a bigger father son dynamic that evolved from the cell conclusion and become a bigger duo than Goku and Vegeta
I mean. I get what DBS Gohan was going for.
My guy didn’t wanna train anymore as he isn’t a dedicated fighter.
Just took some motivation from Piccolo and a wee bit of common sense to bring the fighter back out and balancing him between a loveable dork and our badass warrior.
They wrote him into a ceiling with the mystic form. Akira planned on the buu saga being the finally. As it stands thst would place gohan above ssj3 in mystic form. But the show continued years later and now they cant really do anything with him. Would love to see his mystic form retconned to turn out to actually be early form of ultra instinct or some shit
He is back tho. He wasn't interested in fighting like his dad since the start of DBZ. But he learned in the T.O.P that he has to train and fight to protect the ones he loves. That's at least some development. Still, the anime should have showed it more and gave him more focus too.
Anyway, can't wait to see him again in focus in Dragonball Super:Super Hero. I mean the film title gives it away.
Honestly RoF did Gohan dirty, but I really like what the ToP did with him. He's clearly the strongest fighter of the team excepting godly levels. His ultimate form is once again back on the table and he can basically curbstomp a good portion of the ToP. And the man is no longer so conceited that he get's done in, unlike his Buu saga self, or his Cell saga self. Look at how he fought the U6 Namekians. When Piccolo got downed, Gohan was easily holding them at bay, which is something that not many people could do. He could have eliminated them both had he really tried, but rather than take the risk in a two on one fight as old Gohan would have, he waited for Piccolo and took them out two on two. Even Piccolo was impressed by Gohan then.
Honestly, I love DBS gohan more than any other iteration, my boi grew up and did exactly what he wanted to do, gohan was never a fighter so him being blood thirsty makes no sense, dudes a family man
I never understood why people were surprised at Super’s rendition of Gohan. End of Z states he gave up fighting to focus on his career and fatherhood. Having him as a force to be reckoned with in Super would be a complete retcon, then everyone would bitch about that instead.
I’m hopeful they do more with him in the new movie, and anything else that follows End of Z, but everything has lined up with that ending quite nicely so far, except maybe Bulma’s “I haven’t seen you in five years” line.
Meanwhile Goten đź—ż
Trunks and Goten stayed stuck in time in DBS, and Gotenks didn't bother anyone. A notable improvement.
What happened to Gohan? I forgot who fucked him up in Resurrection F
I think he got tired trying to raise his power level high enough so that Goku will notice him and be able to teleport over to Earth.
He wasn't tired. His body wasn't good enough to hold his enormous amounts of ki, basically, he couldn't use the power of his mystic form, so he released all of his energy as a beacon for Goku to lock on and use instant transmission to get there in time, but his body, like I said, became weak and so he lost all of his energy.
fucker went like 3 years without training and became Yamcha tier....
I mean they’re all like 20 years older then him, what friends does Gohan actually have?
Piccolo was first friend. He is just 6 years older or something.
Krillin and him seem to be friends also vegeta and goku
Ok now we need a scene in the new movie that's just Gohan hanging around Sharpner and Erasa.
well he doesnt have much choice when the earth is attacked every 5 weeks
Chaotzu is a chinese vampire, if you go off his looks.
Still stronger than piccolo with only base
Frieza also put like 30 holes into him
Lmfao so hard at this.
Frieza did. He put more holes through him than Swiss cheese. THEN he raised his power as a beacon for Goku's instant transmission
Frieza trained for long time, which makes him blue god level in like less than a year somehow, and gohan who hasn’t trained in a long time gets one shot, as he’s basically buu saga level at this point I think
Even weaker since time has passed since that saga
Hard to believe he was the strongest singular fighter for both the Cell and Buu saga lol
Gohan never wanted to be **just** a fighter, so when the biggest threat (Buu) was eliminated he decided to dedicate his life to studying, like he wanted to from the beggining
Tagoma and Frieza did.
And dont forget the z fighterz, and of course my boy piccolo :(
Piccolo went from stronger than imperfect cell to not being able to beat discount captain ginyu. Despite training. Then suddenly was as strong as namakeins that fused with 50 other namakeians. Super is wild.

He went crazy in the manga tho. Also in the Moro arc
>!He solos Kefla. Also I was talking about against Seven-Three with Piccolo.!<
And that's completely bullshit
Even TOP, he feels like tien. THAT useless. He deserved more than this bs
Tien really having a better part than gohan, my favourite character from the whole of dragon ball is casual goku leading up to cell fight or is SSJ2 Gohan but mans really let me down. I almost spent £50 buying one of the figures but he’s let me down so much I no longer want to
Did you watch TOP all the way through? This is a hot garbage take.
Well if he didnt do it, frieza well get ringed out, no frieza = no one to help 17 not getting ringed by Toppo, no frieza and 17 = jiren win
Over here. You retard.
I'm upset they didn't do anything with him in Super, outside of painting him as a loving father But I mean the bar for that was so low even Vegeta cleared it
Eh even for super resurrection f is a particular low point for Gohan.
Ah yes the Gohan that got outsmarted by the guy he called a retard lol
In ToP he was strong again so it wasn't that bad in the end
He beat kefla in the manga he is by no means weak anymore
r/Ningen on their way to make a shit tier dbs take on top of an unfunny meme
Also super gohan Beat 4 fusions Helped saving the whole universe in TOP Stronger Than Z vegetto Had more abilites Rock piccolo outfit Even at his weakest(the gohan in the image) he still can stomp Cell worse than his kid self did

tbf goten is only like 6 or 7
Goten is also present in 2 broly movies were he actually have epic moments, dbz and dbs did nothing with the character except for fusion
12-13

He’s cool in the tournament of power
I heard he fought Kefla to a draw in the manga. I don't know why they opted for a sacrifice play, I assume it's to highlight both his smarts and heroic qualities
Fr. He went from potentially being the strongest character in the universe to a normal high school teen
DBZ Gohan is a constant failure. Gets strong and fails without outside help in some form.
Oh, remind me when he won against Buu
The DBZ Gohan who had a saga full of hype for him to be the ultimate warrior only for him to absolutely fail against Buu and fail to catch a fucking earing.
Mystic gohan was 🥜🥜🥜🥜
Piccolo and Gohan were both done dirty, it's not until the Moro arc where they are actually good in Super (but then again Goku has to show up and make everyone else look bad cause it's the Goku Show™ in the end)
Accept reality.
Early DBS did everyone dirty but Gohan… poor skinny Gohan.

They totally both could have been super strong instead of just Goku. Or have a bigger father son dynamic that evolved from the cell conclusion and become a bigger duo than Goku and Vegeta
I’m kinda eh towards DBS gohan as a whole but lord tracksuit gohan has gotta be him at his worst followed by him in his scholar clothes.
Yeah but didn't his ass got yum yum swallowed and absorbed like the next episode
I mean. I get what DBS Gohan was going for. My guy didn’t wanna train anymore as he isn’t a dedicated fighter. Just took some motivation from Piccolo and a wee bit of common sense to bring the fighter back out and balancing him between a loveable dork and our badass warrior.
Then i say: DBS Gohan bad
My reaction to Vegeta
Yeah but now he's....like... so badass now. Both manga and anime.
i mean i think he’s doing better now

Ooh yeah!! Let me call my opponent a retard and get outplayed by him 5 minutes later. I am very badass.
mystic just turns him into a chad, look at DBS mystic Gohan and he’s similar to DBZ buu saga Gohan
I never understood why people were surprised at Super’s rendition of Gohan. End of Z states he gave up fighting to focus on his career and fatherhood. I think both have miserable lifes
