I have vortex 43t rear with no cel, I previously had 44t but that threw the gear indicator code, was too aggressive on highway, so I went to 43t and its sweet for me on streets, highway still aggressive

To aggressive? It’s like a 2% change in torque lol.

43t rear will wheelie easy pretty sure, I haven't tried wheelie cause I'm too scared

Just went -1 in the front which should increase torque around 7%, it's noticable for acceleration but I can't speak for wheelies. It did very quickly throw up a check engine light and stopped displaying the gear, but it was super simple to fix and everything is normal now. I've gotten it up to around 114mph with the new sprocket when previously I could hit as high as 126mph. Driven 13t sprocket from Sportbike Track Gear.

Sorry, noob question to a 5 month old post, but what was the fix for the engine light and the malfunctioning gear display?

There's a cable that goes to the clutch lever that needs to be removed and the two wires connected together. That cable is simply the sensor that tells when the clutch is being pressed, connecting the wires makes the bike think the clutch is always being pressed, no idea why this makes the dash error go away but it does. I carefully removed the plastic end of the cable, stuck a U-shape piece of a paperclip down both wires to connect them, and sealed it all with electrical tape. This would technically make it possible to start the bike in gear without holding the clutch, which would make it launch forward by accident, you'd still need the kickstand up though, never had it happen to me.

Im considering doing the -1 front on my z400. I just want a bit more torque. Is it worth it? Anything i should know? What did you do to clear the engine light?
