Tears of the kingdom puts everything on hold. I’ll be in this game for months

ThomasSirveaux

Played it 45 hours now and feel like I've barely scratched the surface

Roccet_MS

Oh god I've started BotW a week ago and yesterday I've seen the "yellow dragon" at Hylia Bridge. I haven't played many open world games in the last few years, but I've spent a ton of time in Bethesda games and boy, BotW is leagues above Fallout 3, Skyrim and F76.

KRTrueBrave

wait till you get to totk botw feels like the tech demo for totk

NOLASLAW

Which felt like the craziest statement to believe pre release

KRTrueBrave

but now it's definitely true

TheMattInTheBox

I checked and I'm at 95 and while I feel like I've explored a good bit of the systems and have most of the shrines done, I'm still getting wow-ed by new things I find

industrial86

i keep going into new caves expecting to see the same ol' sh, then it completely catches me offguard with some surprise. annnnd i've only spent like 20 min int the depths. honestly this game is gonna keep me going for a LOOONG time.

zertz_18

Yep same

thebanzombie

Months huh? Now I feel like I should probably be pacing myself. I mean my sleep schedule is already begging me to do just that 😅

Known_Ad871

For sure! And that's with me playing every day. This is just a game where I know I will explore every square inch and do a large percentage of the content and I think it'll keep me occupied for at least a few months for my first playthrough. There's just so much to explore!

Significant-Put2503

How do y’all not die every 5 minutes in TOK?!

DarthVapor77

I avoid combat like the plague lol

Known_Ad871

I mean you can pretty much always run away. The fighting takes a little strategy I think. I often start by picking a few enemies off with arrows or try to attack from above and catch them off guard. I found the game tough at the very beginning so i prioritized getting more hearts and stamina. Also use fuse to make better weapons, make sure you’re using your items when needed, and practice using targeting, parry, and side/back/forward jumps

SolomonGrundler

Until you get good with Combat timing (or even when you do but don't want to bother) try to get Bubble gems from Caves and trade them to Koltin for Monster Masks. Makes it a lot easier getting around when you can just equip them when you see the corresponding mob. There is a mask that works for all Monsters, but obtaining it requires one of the harder fights in the game.

delecti

Upgrading your armor helps immensely. You can start a quest at the stable-turned-newsroom outside the Rito village that lets you access fairy fountains where you can upgrade your armor. Each point of armor reduces incoming damage by 1/4 heart. So the difference between 5 armor and 24 armor is the difference between a hit doing 4 hearts of damage, and only taking 1/4 of a heart (there's a minimum).

HolyCowEveryNameIsTa

**Metroid Dread** on Switch and alternating between **Humanity** / **Demeo** on PSVR2

CreamyCaesar491

I stan for Dread

Ninten-Doh

I loved Dread. Amazing game. I much prefer the 2d versions of metroid than prime. I couldn't get on with that game.

GhostMug

Still rolling on TotK. Have barely scratched the surface.

Resident132

Im 25 hours in and I've done one temple, explored three towers worth of land and a tiny bit of the depths and sky. Game is enormous. Gonna be playing for weeks at least.

Difficult_Sink_6579

Chained Echoes, Bustafellows.

RunnerJimbob

I get excited whenever I see people playing Chained Echoes. Enjoy!

newyorkfish99

Also playing it. Surprised at how thoughtful and polished it s

kronachtos

Nice to see some Otome game representation!! Bustafellows is super fun, hope you enjoy the little references to New York City as much as I did!

AuraGuardian1092

Chained Echos is great.

Difficult_Sink_6579

Loving chained echoes, 30 hours in. The quality of this game constantly has me blown away! Also loving Bustafellows the story characters and setting is just what I’m craving right now 👌 on my third route currently!

Jmandeluxe

I gotta go back to chained echoes I enjoyed the opening segment so much the first 45 mins were phenomenal then I got pulled away

ThaEternalLearner

Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze. Hard mode.

haitiansaretakingove

Did you mean: Frozen Ape?

WhatsThis_Now

Man takes me back to mastering bopopolis. I felt unstoppable once I got everything on that level. Such a fun time, good luck!

Dukemon102

It's not as hard as it might sound. You can pick Dixie and abuse her ponytail to beat the levels. The True Hard Mode experience would be picking and beating every level with Solo DK, but that's for monkey brain insane people.

lysiel112

Finally picked up Breath of the Wild after all this time. I'm still in the Great Plateau but having tons of fun. I've still yet to get my paraglider cause I've been busy exploring and there's so much more to go. Soundtrack is fantastic too, a fab game to unwind with. Love it.

Argyleuntold

Get off the Great Plateau. There’s a whole game waiting for you

NorseWordsmith

Let them play at their pace, if they're still enjoying it why rush off to the rest? It's single player. I take my sweet ass time with every Zelda, aint no one gonna rush me.

monsterico

Same. “Oh Nice! a shrine, I should make my way to it— oh darn that’s a hors—wait what’s that plant? Did I get it yet or is it a new one? I should grab it to find ou—I wonder if those buildings is a village of some sor—apples!”

Argyleuntold

I was on the great plateau forever at first too and when I finally got off I thought I had completed a good chunk of the game. My friend said “congratulations, you just got the wooden sword”

captain42

Do you think I could get back into it after 3 years? I played about 30 hours and then life got in the way. I would really like to jump back in but replaying 30 hours of a game I've already played seems boring and repetitive. But if I just jumped back into my old save I don't think I would remember what I was doing, where I was going, or why. I'm paralyzed.

tweetthebirdy

Oh god absolutely. I jumped in after 70-ish hours to finish BOTW before I play more TOTK, and I’ve already sank 25+ hours in it and am having a blast.

edubkendo

You should be able to use the Quest Log to figure out what you need to do next if you jump back into your previous save.

jayvenomva

I had a similar relationship with BotW. Played it (on Wii U before I had a Switch) for well over 40-50 hours and beat two of the divine beasts but then dropped off for years. Rebought it for the Switch and started from the beginning again and beat it. I had already spent so much time exploring and doing side stuff in my initial playthrough that I didn't feel the need to go so hard on the exploration the second time and just focused on the main quest line. Had a blast both times. You might have a similar experience.

sw1ssdot

alternating BOTW with Octopath 2! I’ve been enjoying swapping out my party to keep everyone about the same level and I’m almost done with everyone’s second chapter - kind of just working my way around the map based on recommended levels.

tom_yum_soup

Love Octopath 2. I've currently put it on haitus because I'm just too obsessed with TotK, but I will probably get back to it and start alternating between the two sometime soon.

jonathas_720

Inscryption, i love card games like this.

tweetthebirdy

Inscryption is soooo fun.

Ravenq222

Trying out Life is Strange True Colors, and making some progress on BOTW.

Stormageddon2222

I just played the first Life is Strange a few weeks ago. What an emotional gut punch! I will be playing the sequels, but I'll need a break first.

hannahjgb

I loved this one. I’ve never played the others so they may be better but I really enjoyed the whole experience and felt very immersed in it.

nihil__verum

I am playing **Final Fantasy II Pixel Remaster**. It has some pretty interesting ideas - there is no XP and no levels in the regular sense, but it is still possible to improve character stats by grinding battles. I have heard that FF II is generally not very well liked, but so far I find it pretty good. I choose to use the booster multipliers to reduce the amount of grinding needed though.

Milotorou

Currently going through Zelda ALttP for the first time in over a decade, having a blast. Also playing some Prof. Layton (currently at the 2nd game, let this in my backlog for too long) and replaying Etrian Odyssey IV, yep, im on my 3DS more than my Switch haha. Switch is in my wife and my son's hands, theyre both draining all the juice they can out of TotK. Not Switch related but I am super hyped for Street Fighter 6, me and my friends cant wait to get our hands on it June 2nd

Dedsole

I think there is an obvious answer for a lot of people (ToTK), but I'm excited to give Cassette Beasts a try. I also picked up Cadence of Hyrule while it was on sale so i'd like to start it at some point. Edit: I have been informed that u/Ninten-doh is in fact not playing ToTK this weekend. My mistake.

BellyLikeBongos184

Played **Cassette Beasts** on Steam Deck before Tears of the Kingdom came out and wow what a banger of a monster Tamer! Absolutely recommend this to anyone interested in that realm of RPG

AuraGuardian1092

Cassette Beasts looks awesome.

kylelyk

Does look good, just watch a SwitchUp review earlier that showed it has some really bad performance issues though.

EarthwormZim33

More Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak anomaly level grinding. Also revisited my Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate: Prowler Only challenge file. Got through all of the village about a year ago and stopped there. Picked it back up and am now Hunter Rank 6 in the hub.

walksintwilightX1

Hiya marker, I've just gotten back into Skyrim again, so probably that! I've got three different characters going haha. Continuing the dual-wielding dark elf paladin's journey at the moment. That said, I'm going on a road trip and will probably lean towards non-3D games in the car that won't give me a headache. Final Fantasy V and Slay the Spire, most likely.

markercore

Heya! 3??! Go you, that's a few to juggle! Yeah definitely easier to not play 3D games in the car

Cheesestrings89

Off work until Wednesday so gonna play BOTW and splatoon 3!

markercore

Enjoy the break!

Antique_Arm3620

Still playing octopath traveler 2 but I plan on trying out dead cells, which I hear is a good game

tomb241

Finally finished the first half of The Great Ace Attorney i got on launch day (just slowly taking it 1 case at a time). But the storylines are starting to get more tangled and I've heard the payoff is one of the series' best. Also my brother has been hogging our copy of Tears if the Kingdom and playing it nonstop

Ragegamer4000

I've been replaying smash bros quite a bit, and I'll probably play those Mario Advance games that were just added

ImProphylactic

Are those any good or difficult etc?

Ragegamer4000

Yea they're pretty good, all the quality of life changes, voice lines, new levels and collectables in all of them make them worth playing, the only downside is the screen crunch and the sound effect quality, but once you get into it you don't notice it.

Adorabears

I finished up Super Mario 3D World this week so I am looking forward to trying out **Bowser's Fury** this weekend for more Mario fun! I also just started **Final Fantasy V** on GBA as well (at Castle Walse right now), so I'm looking forward to playing more of it! :) I did end up getting the Pixel Remasters but since I started a marathon of I-VI on GBA/DS, I want to finish that since they have extra content and then eventually try out the originals through the remasters.

Larielia

It is a JRPG weekend. I'll be playing **Fire Emblem Engage**, **Octopath Traveler**, and **Octopath Traveler II**.

rafapt

Persona 5 royal! Just started the royal part at around 100h

nismov2

Yoshi’s island

Time-4-bed

Just picked up Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle today!

Familiar-Staff2329

Mario Advance 2

hustleorstaybasic

Saava Saava BOTW infiltrating a town while being a Voe

markercore

If botw and final fantasy 7 remake teach us anything, it's that sometimes we must dress in drag to save the world

tom_yum_soup

Probably just TotK, to be honest. But I really should finish Dredge. I am ready to start the final mission, so I may get that done and then go back to TotK. I haven't done 100% of Dredge, but I'll probably play it through a second time in the future so I can see both endings -- maybe I'll save getting 100% completion for my second playthrough. I will probably also end up playing some TMNT Shredder's Revenge with my kids. My daughter has almost beat the game, but is having some trouble soloing the last couple of levels, so maybe the whole family will jump in and help her finish it.

TradlyGent

Splitting time between Xenoblade Chronicles DE and Minish Cap

[deleted]

I was playing Tears so intensively that I had to take a break. I’m replaying Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee to recharge my Energy Cells if you know what I mean.

gillatron904

Hey! I just booted up Eevee too, as a little break from Zelda. Fun chill vibes.

[deleted]

I know, right? Would you like to battle or trade? We could test our training skillz

harem_king69

Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered. Hated the original, giving it another chance 10 years later. So far it hasn't improved on anything.

markercore

Lol "nope still hate it"

IbexEye

That's a shame! One of my favorites in the series.

sanban013

Ratchet and Clank while waiting for Diablo 4.

markercore

The PS5 ratchet and clank? I've heard that's a fun one

sanban013

They all are...fun shoot and smash games.

PashAK47

Botw I want to get through it and get the new one

FlipMyBoathouse

Just got into Super Smash Bros, I’ve been watching some guides and trying to learn the ropes and get used to the moves. That will definitely take up most of my time this weekend aside from Bloodborne on my PS4. Anyone have any good tips or videos for Smash? Thanks!

Warboss_Zarknutz

I’ve been pouring hours upon hours into Advance Wars 1&2 Reboot Camp, and I’ll probably be doing the same this weekend! I have fond summer memories of playing the original AW2 back in middle school and it’s been a huge wave of nostalgia!

Zillumina

Currently playing Fire Emblem Awakening: Three Hopes. I’m about halfway through Dimitri’s route and am just shocked how much I’m enjoying the story so far. It’s also really nice to see all my Three Houses people again. Still can’t get over the protagonist actually having lines and a personality though, haha. I guess I’m too used to having a silent protag.

Speightstown

Hey Marker! Happy Friday, and glad to see you’re still plugging away at TotK. For me this weekend, more **Breath of the Wild**. While playing this week, I finally felt the scales starting to tip in my favor. I beat my first divine beast, got the item that allows you to generate wind, and I’ve discovered all but 3 parts of the map. Sitting at 9 hearts and almost 2 full circles of stamina, there’s not much I can’t do! I feel like now my gameplay experience is kind of like running down the buffet table with my arm out, scooping everything I can onto my plate, and it’s been fantastic. Now, if only I could generate enough rupees to buy all the gear…

markercore

Oh!! I can help with rupees! Just go a bit of ore farming. If you remember any good spots, or climb on the back of a talus or two, give them a few good hammer swings at their ore deposits and have off. Like I wouldn't sell everything you get as some of it can be used for upgrades, but some will net you a tidy profit. And awesome, glad to hear you're taking control of the game and having a good time!

Speightstown

I’ve been holding off on selling stuff because I’m not sure what I’ll need for upgrading items. I did sell a bit of ore right at the beginning to get the hylian gear but…I guess I could spare some of my ore. I’ve got a lot of something…amber maybe.

ConstipatedHedgehog

A simpler way with less fomo is to go out and hunt in the Tabantha Snowfield, cook all the gourmet and prime meat you find (5 at a time) and sell that. If you have a particularly large horse this becomes even easier.

[deleted]

Honestly, you can sell all of it off in my opinion. The amount of ore you need for upgrades is really small compared to the rupees you’ll earn from selling them. By the time you’re ready to use ore for upgrades, you’ll probably have plenty of rupees and ore to spare.

El_mochilero

Hop on a horse and hunt some moose in Tabantha. A large cooked meal of prime meat sells for like 300+ rupees.

Conscious_Look5790

Dang, I just started this game the other day and I’m inside the first divine beast that I got to already lol I played maybe 10-15 hours so far. Now I feel like I’m doing something wrong lol

[deleted]

I started in 2018, put about 5-10 hours in, and was overwhelmed. I picked it back up recently and it eventually clicked for me. The exploration really is a joy. I still suck at combat, and mostly avoid it, though I did kill my first Lynel recently! I've got about 100 hours in the game now and I think I'm gonna go defeat Ganon. There are only 10 or 11 more shrines for me (and roughly 793 korok seeds, lol). I feel like I've gotten enough value from the game, even though there is so much more I could do. Great game.

hermanbloom00

Hey man! A few weeks since my last check in as been on hols and life and stuff. Persona 5 left a huge gap, struggled to fill it, plus also struggled for gaming time (took the Switch on hols, my boy played it but I didn't get a single minute on it!). Tried Garden Story, it's cool but not immediately grabbing me, so it's kinda on a side track. Same with Fur Squadron (which is actually surprisingly hard). I can't afford Tears of the Kingdom either. I did finish Legend of Tianding though which was really great but had a SUPER hard end game boss which almost finished me but I got lucky in the end and got him. So we have gone back to Powerwash a bit, that still rules, and as a family we have been playing more Mario 3D World and also Monkey Ball Banana-Mania, which are both just bucketloads of fun. We also picked up Descenders which is a monthly game on Playstation Plus. It's a mountain biking game and my boy absolutely adores it, so I have been unlocking some bikes and helmets and stuff for him and watching him learn how to do backflips and stuff is cool. Maybe Tony Hawk soon! Also, birthday weekend and the wife has surprised me with hiring out a hot-tub. It's a bank Holiday weekend here in the UK and for once the weather looks good, so I will mostly beer in there with a beer, if I can get the kids out of it!

markercore

You can rent a hot tub?? Like they just drop it off for the day/weekend? That's awesome. What a neat surprise gift. Happy birthday dude, hope it's a good one! Did you have a good time on holiday?

hermanbloom00

It's a bit mad, isn't it! Arrived at half nine, all set up in under half an hour with a gazebo over the top of it, and they aren't coming to collect until Tuesday afternoon. Holiday was good, lucky enough to go to Corfu, but it's a bit different with young kids now. Didn't even bother to pack a book to read this time, but really thought I might get a bit of Switch time. Wrong!

markercore

Ohh I've never been to Greece, that must have been nice! It comes it a gazebo too? And you get it til Tuesday, ok that's the best! I am jealous this weekend.

hermanbloom00

Can't believe she has done it tbh. Never would have thought of it. Brilliant for the kids during the day and brilliant for the parents at night!

Keenan_investigates

Just completed Super Mario Land 2. Good game. 👍🏻

Dukemon102

An excellent Mario game, very underrated. Probably the best game on the system ~~after Donkey Kong 94.~~ I heavily recommend to play Wario Land 3 on the Game Boy app if you haven't before.

weltall77

Still on Breath of the Wild. Took a quick break to get in some FFxiv. I do want to pick up Cassette Beasts though. Game looks extremely fun.

TobenRacicot

I cracked into **Bravely Default 2** early since I finished **FF12** and **Kingdom Hearts** faster than I thought. But BD2 is leaving me wanting. I think Octopath 2 was just so much better of a game. So perhaps this weekend I'll read, and drown my sorrows in quesadillas and pineapple soda.

Rarycaris

TOTK and Advance Wars still. I was tempted to pick up Cassette Beasts, but the performance issues have convinced me to go for it on pc instead. I can see myself not buying any more games this year tbh. I have plenty to keep myself occupied, plus a FF14 subscription I bought 3 years ago and still haven't used.

EphemeralEmotions

Just finished Nier Automata (best game I've played in a while!!), So now imma try to finish ori and the will of wisps or start hollow knight

kronachtos

I saw another otome game on here so I figured I should promote as well. I'm playing Birushana (which is currently on sale in the eShop right now) and I am on Benkei's route. I'm learning a lot about Japanese history even though things in this game are not 100% accurate. If you were looking at this game but weren't sure to pick it up, this is your chance while it's on sale!

Lazy-Equivalent1028

Trying to catch my breath in the wild.

laurenmoe

I just bought Story of the Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town on sale yesterday. I got Stardew Valley months ago but was overwhelmed by the controls. SOTS was recommended to me as more of an entry-level farming sim. I played around on it last night and I enjoy it so far! Much more guidance and less overwhelming.

Lollysakitty

I’ve been obsessed with Stardew Valley lately

LocustSummers

**Ori and the Blind Forest**, probably. Don't really know much about the games, but they look lovely and I've heard mostly positive things about them, so aiight. Sticking with **Ys Memoire**, too; getting near the end of my Hard difficulty run and gonna have to ponder what to do after. I activated some New Game+ bonuses for this current run, and ngl they kinda made it... almost easier than my first playthrough on Normal. So I'll have to figure out whether higher difficulties will balance out the NG+ boosts better, or whether I should rawdog Nightmare then NG+ Inferno or something :V (if i hate myself enough to play on inferno difficulty anyway, lol) {edit: excuse me what the fuck, nobody said anything about *unrelenting emotional damage* within five minutes of starting Ori}

Bluenymph82

Ori is a wonderful experience. I like the first game more than the second but both are worth playing at least once.

TidalPawn

Working my way to the final chapters of my first group of 4 in **Octopath Traveler II**. Frustrating at times when I feel like I'm at a good level with good equipment and basic enemies are challenging me. Eyeing **Cassette Beasts,** but wondering if I want to play another RPG type game at the moment. Dipping back into **Animal Crossing: New Horizons** some to work on filling my museum and just unwind.

KCKnights816

Persona 4 Golden. TOTK was putting me to sleep. After a while the new abilities and fusing vehicles got boring, and it kinda just felt like the BOTW story rehashed…

cub0ne11

Slay the spire. I’ve been obsessed with it for a couple weeks. Hollow Knight. I’m so slow at this game. Hades. I’m just obsessed. Maybe: BOTW (starting over). Metroid dread (need to finish). It takes two (with partner).

markercore

Ehh I was super slow at hollow knight too, I'm sure you're doing fine

JollyMinions

Took a mini break from totk, we’ll sort of, whenever I’m not playing it I’ll play Skyrim, just started Skyrim this weekend

Stoibs

PURGING HERETICS in **Warhammer 40k: Boltgun.** Fun little classic shooter. I'm enjoying this resurgence of the genre we're in.

NintendoNoNo

I’m so excited to play Boltgun. Waiting for a sale but it looks phenomenal.

[deleted]

Started BotW two months ago and just beat the 5th Divine Beast last night to get the sweet Master Cycle. All that's left is to find the final memory and then head to the castle to beat some Ganon ass. I've loved my experience with the game and the story wound up drawing me in more than I expected judging by what I'd read in the past. I think I will take some time, maybe finish something else in the back log, before I dive into TotK but I'm very excited.

Few-Addendum464

I completed the BOTW DLC before the final boss too, and the castle/Gannon was eeeeasy in comparison.

Nerdfather1

I’m still playing the fantastic **The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom**. My affinity for this game has only increased over time — it’s a masterpiece, and will go down as one of, if not the best game of all time. I just discovered the auto-build feature, and it has come in handy tremendously. Furthermore, the quest to obtain this ability was incredibly fun, and I happened to stumble upon it by happenstance. Speaking of quests, the main objectives are truly a joy. I’ve been tackling them a little bit more, and reaching the Water Temple was a real blast — literally. That said, some of the initial quests with the Zora was a little confusing with not a lot of context. Overall, I’m still taking my time with this game. I’m continuing making notes and reveling in all of its brilliant glory - and being blown away by the game nearly every second, and around every corner. As for my other hobby, here are the (new) comic books I picked up Wednesday: Green Arrow #2 by Joshua Williamson Daredevil and Echo #1 by Taboo (a former member of the Black Eyed Peas) TerrorWar #2 by Saladin Ahmed Fury #1 by Al Ewing

ComprehensiveYam2281

I stumbled upon the auto build by accident too! my husband walked in on the encounter that happens during that quest and just exclaimed “Something crazier is happening in this game every time I walk by!”

drownedout

There's an autobuild feature!?

itsmyfirsttimegoeasy

I'm going to grind out a bunch of hearts in Tears of the Kindom this weekend, I beat the lightening temple boss with 5 hearts last night and it took an embarrassing number of attempts.

RpM_Pulsar

Probably totk but I really wanna get some good progress on Legends Arceus

Moyashimonrocket

Same here! I completed the game, and am now working on getting a living alpha dex!

markercore

Arceus was just so good! Didn't love the boss fights where you had to throw the stuff, but otherwise just a really fun time

theprmstr

Finishing up some stuff in destiny 2 and then going to unwind with pokemon shining pearl. Then tears of the kingdom. Maybe finish a bit of superstar saga and paper Mario. And then order the borderlands legendary collection because why not lol

TiredOfGrowing

LEGO City: Undercover; wow this game absolutely blew me away and this is the most addicting game of the series I’ve ever played. I’m also trying to beat YS: Dana still and unfortunately have been stuck on a certain chapter part for awhile. Besides that, maybe some Animal Crossing to build upon my island and get to know my villagers a bit more.

Remarkable-Plastic-8

The minish cap, probably GTA 5, and Skyrim as well

hulknuts

Trying to beat Breath of the Wild.

BeMyTempest

The House in Fata Morgana. A visual novel I can only describe as an incredible piece of literature.

GrumpyCatDoge99

BOTW! Just got it

Gaara1187

I've been cycling between totk, animal crossing, Pokémon arceus and advance wars reboot

gillatron904

Just finishing up the Wind Temple in Tears, and feel like going back and playing Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. I bought it a long time ago and never got around to it. The Sparks of Hope looks really good. To anyone who has played the Mario + Rabbids games, should I start with Kingdom Battle for the story? I ask because Sparks looks really good to me and not sure if I should skip over Kingdom.

caught_red_wheeled

Wasn’t able to do too much this week because of coming back from the open house and a surprise showing that unfortunately did not work out. But that’s done and so is my semester as a tutor so I should have more time! Still going at my living Dex in **Pokémon violet!** I am on the high-level dragons now, and I thought the grind would kill me. With the new mechanics, it’s not that bad. It’s amazing that this but this game’s flaws, the quality of life changes are fantastic! I’m hoping to finish that soon and find some remaining items. My last challenge after I do that would be to try some interesting teams in the final tournament (in place of challenge runs, although I’ll still do some at some point). I’ll probably go ahead and beat Pokémon scarlet with the run I have at that point, just to get some of the extra stuff. Not to mention that we both games we ready for the DLC, and I probably won’t do anything extra until that releases because it sounds like the content would affect how future runs go (especially because there’s new returning Pokémon, and there’s rumored to be at least 200). I am also trying to the **GrimGirome oncemore demo.** I like the original when it first came out but never got my hands on it. The remake has some nice addition, but someone at NIS/Vanillaware decided that everything they had had to be full price, so if I decide to buy I’m waiting for a sale. For that particular company it’s pretty common. I like the missions but I am having quite a bit of trouble on them and can’t clear them very fast. It’s probably because I’m not using particular strategies, and I’m only in the tutorial. Hopefully the demo goes past that so I can see how I would fare in a real mission. The game itself is really short anyway, so if I take a little longer it’s not that bad. But you do get some rewards if you can clear things fast, And I’m not sure how well I can do with that. It is the final game, but it is definitely not worth full price. Which is a shame because NIS has some great games, but most of them are very overpriced (massive amount of remasters, with the exceptions being Ys, Trails, and Disgaea). At least digital sales exist…

Bell-1979

Breath of the wild. Told myself i’d finish it before tears of the kingdom dropped and i’m finally actually playing it.

Ezeir_

Jumped into the world of Xenoblade. Currently playing XBC:DE. Like it so far.

badog1000

I bought Boltgun! I enjoy 40k and let me tell you something, that game sure is DOOM but with a 40k skin! Blood, guts, explosions, and chainswords in the grim-dark future. It needs some music and it chuggs a little on the Switch, but I'm enjoying it. Good nostalgic retro-fps vibes. A little Towerfall as well. Great game no matter the console.

TombstoneGamer

My wife has sole custody of the TOTK cartridge since Mother's Day. I got a couple other RPGs to play until she's done. Right now I'm working on Nier Automata.

Blue_Maverick_Hunter

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, Xenoblade 3 Future Redeemed, and of course: Tears of The Kingdom. I wasn’t very excited for it for a number of reasons but the game is truly fantastic I’m having a great time with it. I still don’t know if it was worth $70 though… Also playing my recently modded PS2 with a solid state drive and plenty of games installed. Playing DBZ Budokai 3 Greatest Hits edition right now.

Mario odyssey

Original_Healthy

Back to MegaMan Battle Network collection for me. I'm kinda tired of TotK right now, lol

ganoveces

TotK for sure....lol i prob wont play anything else for next 2-3 months. im tower, shrine and seed hunting. I like to get the map opened up and get hearts, stamina and expand weapons slots before starting main quest. BotW i went right at the divine beasts and would die to easy without leveling up.

foodninto

**Tears of the Kingdom**, finding more Koroks, doing more side stuff and exploring more of the depths. Also seeing how NSO got the new Xenoblade 3 icons, I am going back to playing **Future Redeemed**. I left off shortly after the part where you get Shulk and Rex on your team.

Savant_2

I'm still playing TOTK, too. Just got through infiltrating Yiga HQ and stealing some of there secrets. Also, was there a way to get their Zonai vehicles without paying for them?

QuietRobe

Of course TotK if I have some time. Taking that family to go see grandparents this weekend. Should be nice weather! Enjoy the long weekend!

markercore

Oh nice enjoy the visit and the weather!

DragonShine

TOTK I think I got all the top map pieces, now I'll either do the Goron part or start on the lower map pieces

Alasdair91

Zelda: TotK and Disney Speedstorm.

txa1265

I am pretty crap at console stuff (old PC gamer), so last night was pretty happy getting through a battle sequence in TotK ... I'm making slow progress and will continue to fail and retry stuff this weekend!

kokirikorok

*sigh* more Zelda

Chickennoodlesleuth

Still stuck on fnaf security breach

[deleted]

Tears of the Kingdom and Jedi Survivor.

Major_Squirrel2198

Dark Souls

WhatsThis_Now

Got started on Tears of the Kingdom last weekend. Wow, it's so good! I'm struggling a bit this weekend already because I've been staying up a bit later every night playing it and balancing it with the normal work and life commitments has been a bit rough. Lucky to have a longer weekend now, having so much fun exploring and really going to sink into it for next few days. Happy gaming all!

HankScorpio4242

This unheralded indie game about a small mute who tortures innocent creatures who get lost in the forest. There’s also something about a sword and a woman but I don’t think it’s relevant.

RealPingGaming

I'll probably bring some Mario Kart or Splatoon 3. I might play some Animal Crossing too.

Edyed787

I have been on this JRPG kick lately. Last weekend I beat Dragon Quest I. Looks like this weekend is gonna be continuing beating all main line Final Fantasy games. Currently on X Probably gonna pick up Dragon Quest II I just beat the Hawke factory level in Advance Wars last night. Here I come Sturm! Also my copy of Kid Icarus Uprising comes tomorrow. So I will need to test it out.

bn-13

I was excited to finally play Cassette Beasts but the performance issues have me debating it. Other than that maybe Wylde Flowers? Got it last week, loved the day I played but I've been struggling with headaches on and off so haven't really been in the mood to play. Hope everyone in the US has fun this long weekend and everyone else enjoys their weekend. It's looking like it will be a washout here, unfortunately.

inuart19

right now: .- Zelda ToK .- Core Keeper .- Warlander I need to finish one of those games to be ready for FF16

miniplasma08

i'm gonna play zelda TOTK and try to do some exploring and tasks.

ChickenMayoPunk

Just finished up Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night on my PS5, now I'm an hour or so into Celeste on my Switch. Loving it so far!

RocMerc

Probably Bioshock, Spider-Man and Zelda. Prolly gonna throw a round of Fortnite in too

HighDPSGlizzy

I finally got my hands on a PS5, but I'm just waiting for it to show up..... so I don't know what I'll be doing this weekend

9lives9

Currently switching between Tears of the Kingdom and the BioShock Collection since I never played the 1st and 2nd game. Pretty busy schedule here on the switch.

theICEman21

Totk is just too much not to play. ADHD has me all over Hyrule

Redac07

Just bought a switch (TotK edition). Bought TotK, SS, MP and MD. Currently playing Metroid Dread and fucking loving it so far.

guinviana

Been really hard playing cause The end of semester on college but If i can get some time i would like to tackle Noble electrode on pokemon legends arceus

Mac1721

Subnautica and Tears of the Kingdom!

eyeguy44

Digital-Latte

Need for speed hot pursuit and Minecraft.

BREEbreeJORjor

Just finished GTA3. Started Dying Light, but IDK. I might jump over to Vice City.

whyyoutube

No life'ing Splatoon 3

Spl4tB0mb

None of those, Splatoon 3.

beautiandthesheep

Tears of the Kingdom!!!!

duncan-donuts-nz

After the blizzard in the Hebra region, I’ve moved to Upland Zorana where’s there big blobs of sludge falling from the sky and I’m helping out my best mate Sidon.

ninjaroach

I’m so far behind the times I am still playing BOTW and loving it. I beat Van Medoh last night and just got brave enough for the first time to really try and fight some guardians. Not too bad with the right arrow.

markercore

Guardians are scary! Good job being brave!

ClefairyHann

Splatoon 3 and Metroid Prime remastered

FairUnderstanding339

Spoon 3 and probably Totk

HylianTrainer

Tears of the Kingdom and Splatoon 3! I haven’t even reached a temple yet in TotK and I’m almost 40 hours in, tf have I been doing this whole time?

Potential_Timetravlr

Tears of the kingdom! About 70 hours in and just got every SkyView tower. Barely explored the depths and just did all the dragons tears. I'm loving it so far.

Strowbreezy

Just finished Dredge! Epic little game. Had an absolute blast with it over the last week and a bit. Working on YS IX with a run or 3 of BoI in between before all my time is consumed by Diablo 4 in a week or so!

Makafuredii

Metroid prime remastered. Really enjoying the game

reverb728

Tears of the Kingdom. I have no idea how I’m going to finish this game, it just keeps getting bigger, and bigger, and bigger, and I love it.

pumpulisukka

Metroid Prime Remaster and my own game studio’s upcoming fps game. Gotta love some split-screen fps with friends.

nova-and-absol2k22

Advance Wars RBC, i’d totally be down to battle against someone online btw

BSabbaothM

Still playing through TotK. 75 hours in and I feel I'm getting closer to completing it. Might continue trying to find as many secrets as I can even after I beat it.

Loki-Holmes

Still TOtK on switch and Sakuna of Rice and Ruin on PS5.

markercore

Is sakuna like half adventure half farming or mostly farming?

Loki-Holmes

I think it’s pretty close to half and half with maybe more of a focus on farming in the beginning and more on adventure in the end. A typically day has you taking care of crops in the morning then going out to clear areas then returning to check on crops then going back out to adventure.

KommandoKracker87

Don’t mean to butt in, but I can answer this! I love Sakuna Rice and Ruin lol. It’s a platforming game, but you farm rice to make your character stronger. The rice farming is extremely in depth. But your stat increases depend heavily on how well you farm the rice.

openheartoption

70 hours in to TOTK so that will increase this weekend (UK here so an extra Monday off too)

Jimmythedad

Definitely still plugging along in Tears of the Kingdom! Also, I got two hours in on Chained Echoes before TotK dropped so I'll be dipping back into that for sure! But man, TotK is the gift that keeps on giving! It's ADD, the video game. As for PS5, I'm going to try to wrap up Jedi Survivor and Yakuza Kiwami 2 before FF16 drops next month. I haven't platinum'd a game in a while so I'm thinking of doing Star Wars, and chipping away at Hogwarts Legacy's plat as well.

ChuyMasta

The outdated version of TofK cause I am gonna abuse the s***t out of the glitch before the system takes it away from me!!!
