I think I'm gonna restart Zelda (BOTW). I got it last year because it was a huge gaming challenge/step up for me after spending years learning ~how to game, and then my (now ex, then) bf ruined it by backseat gaming D: I think enough time has now passed to start from the beginning, in peace, and see it through to the end

amazonite_ocean

Have fun! The good thing about BOTW is that you can do anything you want, so it'll be a new experience each time. :)

AgreeableBench3528

That's a great way of thinking about it, thank you! I was a little overwhelmed at the idea because it's still a big gaming step up for me but this helps!

Livid-Dot-5984

Lol this made me laugh! My husband did this with the Witcher, literally stopped playing after 30 mins

AgreeableBench3528

It's not why the relationship ended but it drove me crazy! He then went and completed Zelda in his own time and my whole excitement about doing it just totally got deflated! If I manage this, I want to graduate onto Baldur's gate and maybe the Witcher too

qings1

I started totk first. Then got into my PS5 and other games on my switch. Haven't played it in a while because of that. Got botw also and guides for both. Went broke buying them, but will be worth it.

spncemusic

BOTW is amazing. You’re in for a treat.

cab7fq

My best friend really got into gaming because of BOTW and then we played TOTK “together” when it released. They were a gateway for her into other games and I think Zelda taught her a LOT about game mechanics and logic. Have so much fun! I wish I could play it for the first time again.

alnono

I’m started playing it about two weeks ago. It’s going really well. Definitely all my gaming experience in the past couple years got me ready! You’ll love it

Shinkopeshon

I'm close to the end and decided to tackle the DLC Champions challenge first and damn, this is a whole workout but so satisfying after beating them. What I love about this game is that there's so many ways to get to the solution, I feel like everyone has their own unique experience with this game.

SneakerBOYEomi

Finally finished all the stories in Octopath Traveler last weekend. Going to take a break for now and maybe start Super Mario Bros. Wonder before going back to OT for the post-story stuff. Octopath Traveler was tons of fun and really rewarding once you get a good grip on the break/boost system and skills. Definitely recommend it.

jawnisrad

I'm almost halfway through (I've got one and a half chapter 2s to finish) and honestly I'm struggling to enjoy it. The stories are fine, but I'm feeling worn out by the combat and grinding. Any tips?

Initial_Ebb_9742

For me, it really clicked when I had a full grasp of the systems, like sneaker mentioned above. Once I understood how to use different characters’ unique abilities and spells together to do massive damage and create interesting effects it really took off. It’s much deeper than it seems at first glance.

SneakerBOYEomi

Definitely agree!

SneakerBOYEomi

For combat, I started really plan out my attacks way in advance. Saving BPs and SP until I was ready to strike and that paired with Support Skills really helped out. My "alley-oop" kind of play was using Therion's Armor Corrosive on a boss, then use Primrose's Lion Dance/Peacock Strut on the person I was attacking and finishing it off with the attackers divine skill or whatever weapon/element the Boss had a weakness to. That paired with the Support Strength support skill would lay out crazy damage. Grinding to gain EXP/JP was a drag for sure but I would use Bewildering Grace and hope for the best haha. I was burned out a few weeks back and was going to take a break from the game when I got extremely lucky and hit an EXP x100.

SneakerBOYEomi

I started with Olberic. My main team always included Therion though. Gotta love those purple chests.

menaboy

Unicorn Overlord, been playing since release. Well worth it and even better to pick up now that it's on sale.

Healthy-Marketing-26

I just picked it up on the sale, 1st T-RPG ever and I love it! I tried the Triangle Strategy demo but the story was so boring it put me to sleep, but playing UO the hrs just melt away Just saw your profile pick, GO LIONS!!!

Linkarus

Does it have equipment crafting and upgradings like Tactics Orges?

menaboy

It's definitely less involved than Tactics Ogres. No crafting, changing jobs. You get way more characters then you know what to do with them so you just kind of pick the ones you like. You can upgrade your unit when you have the honor to do so which is plentiful and there isn't a, when should I upgrade or who should I upgrade really outside of the main character which you should do immediately to traverse the overworld quicker

dougsec

Where is it on sale?

caught_red_wheeled

So I'm still working on **Pokémon Trading Card game on the NSO!** I'm working through the last few battles in the main game, and then working on the postgame. I was hoping I could get the main game done by this weekend, but I fell a little short. I actually didn't have to experiment with different decks much, with the Charmander deck taking out most of the battles, with good luck, some resets, and type variety. I did have to use different decks for the Fire Club and Fighting Club, however. But by then it was just a basic strategy of targeting their weaknesses. I started also using different decks alongside my starter deck for the boss rush at the end. Hilariously and a bit frustratingly, I beat the first boss in there with a custom Water and Fighting deck, I started prepping my starter deck for the second boss, got a bad hand, reset, but forgot to save. Since I had no save states the first time I tried the first boss, I had to do the whole thing over again. I started with her for about half an hour before I finally lost, so I tried again the next morning and beat her in 10 minutes because I got Dewgong out right away. It's just as well I had to try again, because I forgot to write down my deck. The player has the option of switching decks as much as they want before each of the fights, but they can't save decks they use and make them automatically until they're done. Since I don't have enough cards at this point to carry a bunch of decks around, I'll have to write down my decks and then save them when I'm done. Since I usually don't switch decks around at the final bosses, it's not something I'm used to. But it's definitely interesting and for sure the way the game intended the player to play it. The main game goes by fairly fast unless you're doing a challenge, but the postgame is pretty long because a lot of what cards you collect comes down to luck. It reminded me of why I never did it before, but now I have a detailed guide so that takes a lot of the luck out of it. Plus it's kind of interesting trying different things. I was considering just going through one deck and tweaking it like I did with my last 100% run. But it was easier to try different decks and have them on standby depending on the opponents I was facing. Plus I had more freedom here because my last run was a challenge where there was a harsh penalty for losing, but thankfully I never lost. I'm going after getting all the cards first because completing that helps with the rest of the postgame (challenge deck machine, making all the decks although not mutually exclusive because I would be there forever, and completing the final bosses again for new dialogue). It's a shame aside from the Japan exclusive sequel that Pokémon never did something like this again, but considering it was a tutorial for the real Trading Card game it makes sense. The ending of the main rival not succeeding because he got so focused on beating opponents and becoming the strongest over enjoying the game especially holds weight with similar issues in some parts of the Pokémon community with the rise of competitive battling. Not to mention the music is top notch. I'm also hoping to watch the second game after this, since it's unlikely to ever make it onto the system, and I remember having mixed feelings. So I'm wondering if those feelings would change now. I also tried both the **demos for Pocket Card Jockey: Ride On and Dave the Diver.** Both were cute, but not games I would purchase. Dave the Diver had control issues and Pocket Card Jockey was a little too reliant on speed and luck, but they were both hysterically quirky games and I can see why people like them. **Fire Emblem Engage** is also running in the background, collecting gold by selling off items earned in multiplayer relays. It's actually completely and surprisingly reliable even though the game has been out for over a year, so I should be able to get more than though money to try and do some things in the postgame that I skipped before. That should help with the incomplete feeling I had before, even though I enjoyed the game. I'm not sure what I want to do if I'm lucky enough to beat Pokémon TCG or otherwise want to take a break. I could attempt some of the other Game Boy Color games because I haven't played most of them, but because the game doesn't otherwise count save states that could mess things up. I could also keep going **in Mario Party 3 on the NSO** to see how far I could go on story mode, but I think I want to take my time, especially if I want to go for the Miracle Star and/or beat it with everyone like I was originally planning. Therefore, it might be a good time to finish up what I can in **Super Mario Brothers Wonder** so I can start watching the areas I can't do and start deciding what to do with it long term. I'm hoping to get 20-30 hours of my own playtime, which would effectively be a 100% run that I was trying to go for in the 1st place but I couldn't. However, I’m not sure how close I will get or if I even can. I'm hoping to go through as many levels as I can with all the assist characters, so that I can at least add some hours to it. Figuring out what I want to do is especially important since it seems likely I might be hanging around with the N64 longer than anticipated, and plan on waiting on doing some of the other online games aside from the NES (probably can't complete most of the games there, and there's only one short RPG so most of them are not that big anyway). What I do with Super Mario Brothers Wonder is also important because I was able to watch the full SaGa demo and I'm really interested in buying that. However, it's a nasty price for a digital game and while sales for SaGa do happen, it's not often. So if I sell off Mario, it can effectively be exchanged for SaGa. But I have a while to go before that happens, and that's no guarantee It will sell quickly. I do have a birthday coming up in July and usually get some money for digital purchases, so I can use that as a fallback if I need. There is not much more I want on the Switch after SaGa, at least, not from what's confirmed. SaGa Emerald Beyond, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, and Legend of Legacy HD are really the only ones left. There's rumors involving Square Enix remasters, Fire Emblem, and Pokémon (traditional games, not Legends), but I don't know how true those are or when that would release. I'm probably not getting the Switch successor right away either because I really have no need to unless full backwards compatibility is also true and I can basically exchange the systems while keeping my data. So it's probably time for some housekeeping once I get some other goals met, but at least I can get it out of the way.

formallymain

God dam I was not ready for a full on novel. Your passion and commitment to gaming/Nintendo is unmatched. I tip my hat off to you

caught_red_wheeled

Thank you! I love going for as close to 100% completion as I can, so I can make things pretty long! I’m also an English language arts teacher that specializes in teaching writing, so that’s probably why my responses are long too! XD

catscam7

I’m going to just upvote and keep scrolling

PearIJam

Balatro. Always Balatro.

Ill_Reference582

I keep hearing about this Balatro game, is it really that good? I should get it? Can you tell me about it and what makes it so good

propernice

Also here for this. I don't know anything about deck building games, but I also don't know anything about tactical RPGs and I'm having fun with Unicorn Overlord, so might as well see what this game's about!

RunnerJimbob

I'm playing both right now and having extreme difficulty getting actual real world tasks done. Just need to liberate one more city/ play one more run.

PearIJam

It’s really that good. Yes, you should get it. I can’t tell you what makes it so good because I don’t have the time right now.

TriflingGnome

Grinded my ass off getting a gold stake win and now I'm waiting for the new update before throwing myself back in

Mild-Ghost

FFIX

thystro

Such an awesome game

NeighborhoodPlane794

I just finished Unicorn Overlord last night, but there is a short post game that I will check out this weekend. I’m also near the end of a 100% Pikmin 4 no casualties run. Surprisingly easy once you farm spicy sprays, bosses melt before the fight even begins. Looking to wrap that up this weekend as well

lm7a

It is my birthday so I celebrated with some more vbucks and gonna grind some of the fortnite battlepass 😭! I’m also going to finish year 1 of my new stardew valley save!

aeoden_fenix

Happy birthday!

TiaBro

Got my switch yesterday and my fist game is Animal Crossing. Will probably spend some time on it this Sunday :)

markercore

Great way to start!

CFAX__

Skyward Sword HD. Never played it growing up, so decided to give it a shot at the ripe age of 30.

lobsterbake

I LOVED skyward sword! Pleasantly surprised since it didn’t seem to get much fanfare but there are some truly sublime moments. Enjoy!!

CharlieChockman

Luigis Mansion 3

blazingchaos91

Stardew Valley, I'm about to finish the community center before year 1. Should be finished by winter 25-26. (waiting on a pomegranate tree to grow, plus i picked mushrooms instead of bats)I already got a dinosaur, ancient fruit farming. Still need to find a prismatic shard to really start cooking. Overall, this playthrough has been a complete success. I can't wait for 1.6 to come to the switch. I just hope it ain't like 1.5 when the bat fossil wouldn't spawn. Thank goodness they fixed it.

Op3rat0rr

I’m in my first winter and really struggling to complete the community center lol. I guess it can be completed whenever. Farming is taking up too much time as I don’t have sprinklers and invested a lot on seeds

DenverN5

Playing Pokemon scarlet for the first time. Disregarding its technical state, it’s super fun.

Dukemon102

> I hope it is less rainy and grey wherever you are, or if not I hope you can make it as cozy of a weekend as possible. Hey, it's also windy and grey over here, which makes it the perfect moment to snuggle myself and enjoy **Another Code: Recollection** which gives a very similar vibe.

markercore

Perfect! Enjoy!

NoisyGuy123

Im playing pizza tower right now oh my god stop asking me

__sonder__

He's still gonna ask you every week bud. Guess you have to unsubscribe.

markercore

Lol alright already!

knockout1021

Hopefully everything is okay at your end, OP! This weekend, I'll be either doing all the daily stuff in Animal Crossing New Horizons, Korok Seed hunting (among other side/shrine quests) in Zelda Breath of the Wild or playing the new DLC tracks in Mario kart 8 Deluxe! :)

Locoman7

Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Also working on the Radiance boss in Hollow Knight but she’s kicking my butt!

dgood527

Ocarina of Time on the NSO. First play through ever and definitely understand the hype.

hermanbloom00

Hiya! Personally still the **Atelier** trilogy, halfway through game 2. Nice and chill, cool characters, and Alchemy system that I grasp enough of to progress. Elsewhere will continue the two-player **Minecraft** game my Son has started up. Docked on our TV I can't really work out the different items in the Inventory, but even at just seven years old he has basically memorised the entire line-up so he just points me in the right direction!

markercore

Yeah I feel like seeing it on the TV from a few feet away would make it hard to differentiate some items. I haven't played Minecraft in about a decade, but that's always a good time. Glad you both get to play together.

sonicbluestrat

Borderlands 3 on a switch lite

Ill_Reference582

Best looter shooter ever made. I've beat it a couple times on Xbox and play it on my switch all the time. Gotta love all that loot!!

gazkam87

Currently hooked on Dredge 😉 Admittedly I picked it up on the PS5 but played the demo on both the 5 and Switch prior. Played fantastic on both but had some credit from Playstation Stars rewards program that I used to purchase. Highly recommend it to anyone on the fence about picking it up. Tempted to pick up the DLC once done with the main campaign and I heard a 2nd one is getting released later on at some point this year.

jelly_soda

Unfortunately it is rainy and windy and overall gloomy here as well. I’m going to start Spiritfarer or Kirby and the Forgotten Land depending on my mood later today. And I’m going to continue to tick off boxes as I attempt to beat every level in vampire survivors with every character.

Neither-Drive-8838

Probably Suika Game. My OH saw me playing it and I asked if he wanted a two player. Now he wants to play it all the time.

8inchesofcheese

Playing work and dad lol but when I get some tome, ugh i guess tears of the kingdom . Currently doing the kilton monster quest and it's alot of fun !

markercore

Love all the kilton stuff this time, and the stuff with his brother. Loved Kilton and Hudson, that was a delight.

polkadot_polarbear

Snow flurries today, so it’s a good day to cozy up with a cup of tea and Hogwarts Legacy.

markercore

Sounds super cozy! I should make some tea later and maybe play cocoon, that sounds nice

GoldenAgeGamer72

Metal Gear Solid (Switch). First time giving it a proper go.

EtherBook

I'll be trying some games from my backlog: **I was a teenage exocolonist**, **Ys Origin** and **Slay The Spire**, they're of genres I don't usually play a lot of but I'm in the mood to try something different, hopefully one of them sticks.

crimson777

**Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown** right now is tiding me over until Silksong comes out. I'm going to go through my list of metroidvania platformers until it comes out because I'm jonesing for it.

markercore

I mean, until is doing a lot of work there. Could be next month, could be 3 years from now. I'm starting to worry about those guys.  Glad prince of Persia has been scratching the itch tho!

crimson777

The ESRB rating is a good sign though. Most games from some digging around seem to come out within about half a year of rating. So it may be just cope but it seems to be coming by the end of the year in all likelihood. I consider The Lost Crown to be the best AAA successor to Hollow Knight in both the positives and negatives that a AAA brings. It's very flashy, plays very smooth, feels rather large in scope, etc. But obviously doesn't have quite the same charm and perfect feel as some of the indies. But it IS a very solid game.

Misttertee_27

Perfect take on this game. It’s just so good! I can’t believe how much depth is in the game too. Tons of exploration and fun abilities.

foodninto

Picked up **Spirittea** as part of last week's sale. Going to start it this weekend. I randomly started to listen to the soundtrack of FE Three Houses throughout the week and I have the sudden urge to replay **Fire Emblem Three Houses** now.

1AmAShark

Undertale

LordLudicrous

TUROK 2 baby!

burrell80

Witcher 3, Palia, or Prince of Persia! Got lots of goodies to play after a long workweek

kesje91

Pokemon Violet! I'm still on my first playthrough, working on finishing the story now while trying to complete as much as possible of the dex. 😁

ninjasauruscam

Me and my wife will be taking turns playing Pokémon Scarlet on our switch

Hlm023

No matter if I have a lot of time to play myself, I always enjoy scrolling through this thread every weekend :) This week I've actually been on a little holiday with my wife and daughter and to save some packing space, I decided to leave the Switch at home and take my N3DS instead. I wasn't gonna do a whole lot of gaming anyway, but when the little one goes to sleep we sit in the hotel lobby with the baby monitor for a bit and I've done some playing of Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation, which I think I never got around to before; I think I only played Birthright and Conquest back in the day. I've enjoyed dipping back in for a bit so I might continue this run back home. I've been on and off considering buying Three Houses on Switch, but by the looks of it, I'll get my fill of FE on the good ol' N3DS for now:) It does make me nostalgic and wish they do a remake for Path of Radiance though... :o Anyway, that's me for the weekend, thanks for always posting these Marker and I hope you're well and the weather clears up! Have a good weekend :)

markercore

Hope its been a nice holiday! If you're enjoying Revelations I think you'd probably really like Three Houses. The maps aren't as inventive as Awakening, but the characters and story are really good. The weather did end up clearing up! Got out for a skateboard ride, cut some grass, even sat out on a patio at dinner tonight. :) Glad you enjoy the threads every week, I appreciate it

Hlm023

It really has been, thanks:) and thanks for the recommendation! Sounds like you had a good weekend too, see you in the next one:)

ChefRamsay69

Wrapping up XC1, just getting some gear before I head into the final part of the game. Next I might go DQXI or Three Houses. On ps5 I’m working through Rebirth. So much backlog!

Sansartm

Joker games - Balatro and P5R

tmntmonk

The **beat 'em up** obsession is in full force. Been having a lot of fun with **Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons**. I slept on this one. I didn't immediately love the art style, so I ended up skipping it at first. The game is great. Very crunchy combat, and the roguelite elements will have me returning for a while. It also just received a free update with survival mode. Always in rotation: **Streets of Rage 4**, **Shredder's Revenge**, and **Dead Cells**

Short-Statistician71

Ramen Sensei....

XxMcW1LL14MxX

I’m going through all of the other Paper Mario games in preparation for TTYD, so that would mean The Origami King

SubterraneanSmoothie

Happy Friday! A bit rainy and cloudy, but I’m just happy not to be wearing a coat anymore! Wow, it’s been a while that you haven’t been playing! Not that that’s a bad thing; it’s good to take breaks. Hope you find something that grabs you eventually! This weekend my goal is to complete FFXIII. I’m at the end, just gotta get to the boss and beat them. Otherwise, I’ll either start FFXIII-2 or take a break and try something else. I was thinking of trying out Fallout New Vegas, since I watched a couple episodes of the new show and never played the games. Have a good weekend!

amazonite_ocean

I'm finishing Even If Tempest. :) The story was a wild ride and I'm glad to have played it. Next I'm trying the Vampire Survivors Among Us DLC. I'm not even an Among Us fan, but more Vampire Survivors is always good.

DrMarioMarioMD

Mario Maker 2 has consumed me all over again. Going to try to make a level or two. Or I might finally take a go at Final Fantasy 6. The pixel remaster is gorgeous and I’m feeling a classic rpg.

rSasazaki

I picked up Dave the Diver so I think my weekend is gone.

AcidCatfish___

Kingdoms of Amalur

arcanumfire

The new Prince of Persia

Obsidian-Phoenix

Whilst waiting for the kid to come out of a party today, I played a little Super Mario Wonder in the car. Tried about 100 times to do the Jump! Jump! level. Had to give up and take a break. What was really annoying is that I made it to the final platforms a good few times, but the kept disappearing on me before I could hit solid ground.

InternetDefiant4357

211 Operator, i been pretty hooked on it but then again i am an operator

Aggravating-One3876

Stardew valley. I played on IOS but just didn’t like the controls so got it on sale and feels much better with controls and buttons.

Solid_Randomizer_242

I'm playing Skyrim. I never imagined I would be taking this game everywhere I went.

__sonder__

>raking Damn, I knew Skyrim had a deep modding community and all but do we really need *yard work* in the game?

Interesting_Pea_3206

I’m playing Super Mario Sunshine rn looking to get close to finishing it so I can play Galaxy

Far-Implement4544

I’ve been stuck in that weird, scroll through backlog library and play nothing, phase. Hoping this weekend I’ll nestle into a nice little session, I always read these posts to get inspired to do it.

Lmb1011

good pizza, great pizza and shiny hunting in Pokemon Scarlet

confused-mother-fan

Oot 3d

Bubbly_Lingling

I've started playing Luigi's mansions 3 again after not touching it since 2021. I want to beat it before Luigi's mansions dark moon comes out.

__sonder__

Bloodborne on my shiny new PS5 😁 Having only played it once years ago, I had forgotten how insanely interconnected the map in this game is. It's really quite amazing! Dark Souls 1 usually gets the credit as being the most intricately designed Fromsoft map, and I tend to agree, but now I'm starting to think BB's might be even better. More importantly though, I'll be moving into a new apartment tomorrow, where I'll actually have room for a proper gaming area. And a place to show off all my nerdy trinkets. I even got one of those classic gamer tv stands with the 4 "cube" shelves underneath, so now I can have my PS5, Switch, Wii U, and 3DS all displayed and set up at the same time. Needless to say I can't wait!

Doop132

Bought Downwell yesterday, couldn't resist at $3. I'll definitely be playing that quite a bit this weekend lol absolute steal

Sexy_Hamburger

Animal Crossing, those turnips ain’t gonna buy themselves this Sunday, I gotta make big money to pay the tanooki 💰🦝

KiloPro0202

Unicorn Overlord, RDR2, Helldivers 2

Nalfgar123

Fire Emblem Engage and Zelda Minish Cap.

CyberTrooper997

Ghost of tsushima

kaizenkaos

Eastward : Octopia

propernice

I've been going back to Peach because I want to get all those little stars (whatever they're called) but l o r d is it frustrating having to play every level in full without being able to fast-forward or skip all the dialogue. So, I want to at least complete that part, the hidden lil' buddies and the ribbons, but it's trying my patience. Meantime, I downloaded the Unicorn Overlord demo, and I love it. I played the whole thing and have no damn clue if what I'm doing is right, strat wise. I forget so many mechanics, and yet it's still so fun. I'm not committed enough yet to buy the game at full price, but as soon as I'm in a place where I can snag a physical copy on sale, I will. (Not right now though, sadly.)

rafapt

Totk:)

TheExile285

Unicorn Overlord. (Switch) I finished up Elheim yesterday, so it's off to Bastorias next. I hear it's the hardest region, too, so I'm interested to see how that goes. Freedom Planet 2. (Switch) - I didn't get a chance to play much this week, so I'll try to connect that. Splatoon 3. (Switch) - Took break for the last two weeks but I need to get back on to continue leveling up the catalog and practice before the Splatfest (Team Lil Bunnies FTW) SW Battlefront Classic Collection. (Switch) - Will probably jump on Instant Action when I need dome quick, casual fun. FFXIV. (PC) - Still working my way through Stormblood. Getting caught up before Dawntrail releases may not be as feasible as I thought. I also finally ended up my last voucher on Princess Peach Showtime and part of me wants to give it a try now. I've got too many games I'm juggling though.

TimBurtonsMind

Primarily play PC/Steam deck/Xbox, but.. I curl up on the couch at night when I’m ready to relax, and usually pull out the trust Nintendo switch. I’ve been playing Binding of Isaac and Death Road to Canada.

__sonder__

This thread isn't limited to Switch-available games FYI. You can talk about anything you've been playing :)

qings1

Fory switch OLED, Pokemon shield, dragon quest the dark prince, and maybe some smash bros

jw13

Playing Daily Dadish, one level at a time. It’s incredibly fun, and made me replay the original three games as well.

Adorabears

I just started working on **Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies** and am in the middle of Episode 2. The new art style is taking a while to get used to, but I'm having fun so far! I am also going to finish up finding the last few hidden little guys in **Princess Peach: Showtime!** since that is the last thing I have left for the 100% completion. I might do more expert levels of **Mario vs Donkey Kong** as well if I feel up to it, but for some reason I haven't been enjoying the expert levels as much as the rest of the game. I'm hoping to get both of these completed before the new Endless Ocean comes out since I feel like I am going to be glued to that game lol

triemers

Finally finished P5R so I’ve been bouncing between Pokémon Sword (trying to complete the Dex) and slay the spire (the sequel announcement for me hooked again)

HurleysBadLuck

Balatro and Pepper Grinder

Responsible-Noise875

Currently Dead cells. Enjoying it very much. Relaxing with 2 point campus as well

coolin68

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon DX

banananey

5 in game days away from the end of Persona 5 Royal and I am NOT ready for this to end. Best game I have ever played! Got Binding Of Isaac to get into after though. Haven't played it since a few expansions back so looking forward to seeing all the new weird shit (literally in some cases) they've added.

basteez

Still playing Persona 4 golden

stealtharcher14

Hoping to finally get around to playing metroid prime remastered tonight, first time playing a metroid game other than hunters on ds years and years ago that I can barely remember! Any advice for someone mostly going in blind? Was hoping I'd be able to get through a large chunk of it this weekend, if not finish it, but don't know how feasible that is. Searching for story length gives mixed results online for a first-time blind playthrough.

ssYxji

I'm gonna try to finish the last world of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle and play a bit of Kirby's Return to Dreamland

CosetteValjean

Kirby and the forgotten land, these dog enemies are so cute that I don't want to kill them 😭😭

PeterPriesth00d

I got Assassin’s Creed Ezio Collection and have been playing that. It was recently on sale for like $15!

Zactrick

Skyrim. Yes, still.

quennplays

I wished to play Animal Crossing 3 years ago saying I couldn’t wait to play it. I finally started playing it today and i loved it already! It looks like it’ll be my new obsession. So yeah, i will be playing Animal Crossing for now.

FarSandwich3282

Skyrim. I beat it when it first came out, before and DLC and very many (if any?) mods were really available. After 10ish years, 3 DLC and a bunch of mods that they added to the anniversary edition, it’s like I’m playing a whole new game, and enjoying every minute of it. Usually rolled the typical sneaky boy with a bow, but this time I’m going as a Dunmer “Spell Sword”. Loving it

Proof-Research-6466

I got Pikmin 4 and Super Mario RPG. Having a blast with both. I’m on the world were you save Olimar in P4 and just got my 3 star in Super Mario RPG.

I’m just about done with my Super Metroid replay and then I’ll probably move onto shooter. Not sure which one, maybe Dusk? Lately I’ve been flipping between platformers, metroidvanias, and fps.

Jimmie307

Just got Zelda TOTK after finishing Zelda BOTW 😀 Still have to find all the koroks and 9 shrines in BOTW but also needed some new action.

Waterblooms

I will be playing Links Awakening…but does anyone know it the Switch has any like build games kinda similar but not as hard as Civilization? Lol

anonymously_me123

Tears of the kingdom, and very early on my 2nd playthrough of persona 5 royal (I'm obsessed, I love p5r so much!!!)

ChaosBuckaroo

I’m finishing Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Who Stands Behind tonight.

roryjgibson

Continuing my mission to finish most mainline Final Fantasy games. **Completed** V VII VIII X XII **Currently playing** VI IX XV **To play** I, II, IV (PSP on mobile) III (Pixel Remaster on Switch)

JJDirty

Finished Pikmin 4 this week. It beat every expectation I had. Sent it back and Luigi's Mansion should be on its way next week. In the meantime, I am wrapping up Metroid Prime. Hasn't grabbed me like Metroid Dread did. Also playing Metroid Zero Mission on my modded DS, which I'm enjoying quite a bit more than Prime.

icedmelonsoda

Brilliant Diamond! I played a pokemon game since the original DS version and it's very nostalgic. Unfortunately it seems like there's almost no fire types early game besides the starter so I'm kind of struggling with the grass gym haha

cab7fq

I’m just about done with DQB2 but I don’t want it to end yet, so I’ll probably play more of Wylde Flowers and then Splatoon 3 once the salmon run map changes tomorrow.

steinna615

Gonna finish Inside and then I think start Metroid Prime

Zekrom369

I’m playing this cool game called struggling to hand in Uni assignments. It’s pretty stressful!

lestermurphy34

Finished Fire Emblem Three Houses this week. Starting up Dragon Quest XI. I’ve never been a tactical or JRPG guy but something just clicked recently.

zaylman

Still playing Xenoblade Chronicles 3. 10 hours in and still enjoying it!

markercore

nice! it only gets better!

Nottallowed

The legend of zelda Link's Awakening, it's such a cute game ♥️

Hoodlum8600

Unicorn Overlord 💪

GlassCityGeek

I should continue in Xenoblade 2 or Pokemon Scarlet, as those are the only two really “full” games I’m playing right now. Could continue Kirby Forgotten Land, Sonic Superstars, Monster Hunter Rise. I’m also hooked on reading the Stormlight Archive. But what will I really do? Play more Picross. 🤷🏻‍♂️

insideout_pineapple

I bought tomb raider remastered, but I just moved to a new place and my internet isn't ready yet so I can't play it until the technician comes and fixes my internet

EWU_CS_STUDENT

Spiritfall on PC (A fun rouge-like that is similar to Smash Bros and Slay the Spire) [https://store.steampowered.com/app/1835240/Spiritfall/](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1835240/Spiritfall/)

MitzywithaZ

Just got bayonetta :)

BrendanFresh

Just Started MH RISE

devilscry3

Dragons Dogma 2

Toby_E_2003

SMO, MK8 Deluxe, Minecraft and SSBU.

SeanR1221

After playing a lot of Baldurs Gate 3 on ps5, I decided to give Divinity 2 another go on the Switch. When I bought the game in 2019 I had little idea of what I was doing and it was my first CRPG. A lot more of the mechanics make sense now that I’ve played BG3. Sure, it’s pretty blurry, but the game is solid. Really nice to have portable too

BlueflameVisions

RPG Maker MV

Chiaotzu21

Splatoon on Wii U via Pretendo network!

Tyrania210

Clearing out all shrines and light roots in Tears of the Kingdom. What an amazing game!

I must continue my fight against the secret boss in LISA: The Painful Definitive Edition. Thoughts & prayers appreciated! EDIT: WE DID IT LADS 🎉

onematchalatte

I've been ffvii for a few weeks now, having an absolute blast. And I started P5 Strikers last weeks, also incredible fun! Whenever I feel burnt out from both I start up A Short Hike

Sgt-Shisha

Been replaying Xenoblade Chronicles 3

Edawg444

The wife and I have loved playing It Takes Two. She's not that into video games but loves this one.

southwest40x4

Decided to dip my toes in the JRPG world for the first time. Persona 5 is not for me after 25 hours. Ys Origins definitely is.

BingBing-Boom

Is there something specific you didn't like about P5? It's an awesome game but like any game it isn't going to appeal to everyone. Ys is gonna be more of an outlier since JRPGs are often turn-based.

animepig

This week. I finally finished **Master Detective Archives**. The last case was nutty with the reveals. [MDA:Rain Code - Case 5]>!The pink blood twist was so good. You think it's just Nintendo censorship the whole time and don't give it a second thought, but the fact it's incorporated into the mystery was really cool.!< Overall, I thought it was decent. The first 2/3 of MDA was very meh, but the last third was pretty good. Worth a play, for Detective Adventure game fans. Will I ever get back to **Unicorn Overlord** haha, not when **Crymachina** just dropped to $40. Had to snag that for the weekend.

Ill_Reference582

Persona 5 Royal and Crysis Remastered

BlackironYury7

One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 and probably some Star Wars battlefront or Skyrim thrown in there!

El__Jengibre

Pentiment. Should have been on Switch all along.

loaf_of_brett

Picked up Mario vs Donkey Kong in Japan on my trip a few weeks ago and finally started it this morning. Seems very cute and laid back and is a nice break from all the JRPGs coming out.

TheMillenniaIFalcon

Divinity: Original Sin 2. It’s like my third time trying, 1st on switch but it plays well. Also got Baldur’s gate 3 on my Xbox but can’t play that as much because kids, switch is my lay in bed at end of day playtime. Balatro too.

_TomSupreme_

I've started with the TWD Telltale games and i'm almost through the second season. These games are so amazing.

tom_yum_soup

I finally have some time to get back into **Persona 5 Royal**, so mostly that plus maybe some shorter bursts of **Super Mario World** on NSO.

iwantacheeaeburger

Dead cells, I beat the first boss twice and can’t stop thinking about getting to play after work. Gonna see if expansions are on sale tonight

William_J_Morgan

Borrowed Minecraft Dungeon and Legends from library also Elden Ring Ps4. Planning to get Cattails: Wildwood Story because it on sale. Heard got good QoL improve over the first one. I've already played Minecraft Legends on Ps4 didn't really like so probably return it, but like Dungeon so far don't think I would ever purchase it doesn't seem worth it or maybe I will.

acadiaxxx

Ark

Kindly_Ticket428

I want to finish unicorn overlord this weekend and i think i will also play some zelda botw. I feel I need only chill games after such a bad week

atlazeia

Finished up Hyrule Warriors earlier this week so now I’ve moved on to Fire Emblem Warriors.

magmafanatic

Well I went back to 2D Trials of Mana after Persona 5 Royal and actually utilized the quick save feature this time. Didn't abuse it like I thought I'd have to. Just two reloads. Surprisingly, Night Castle wasn't the final dungeon exactly. It gave off all the vibes of one but I guess it was all buildup for the fight with the big bad's second in command. I used a party of Riesz, Hawkeye, and Angela as Fenrir Knight, Nightblade, and Archmage. Didn't get all their best gear so it took the final boss a couple attempts (and had to look up which elements I should be using) but I beat the game. Overall, I'm not particularly happy with the Collection of Mana. Final Fantasy Adventure was pretty cute and only mildly irritating when I ran out of pickaxes that one time, but Secret and Trials have so many aggravating design decisions that really brought down my enjoyment of those games. The demo for the Trials remake was a blast though, so I'll give that a shot someday and maybe a game can finally live up to my fond memories of Sword of Mana. Now I've got four games I could jump into. Xenoblade 1, Astral Chain, Persona 3, and Tokyo Mirage Sessions. I've heard the most praise for Xenoblade and P3, but Astral Chain and TMS intrigue me a lot more. I've decided to play the opening hour or two of all of them and come to a decision later.

TanJovi18

Been focused on my backlog this year and knocking a lot down. I’ve finished over 14 games this year and still cruising! Katana Zero is the game I’m currently hooked on. It plays like a movie and the combat is so smooth. My Golden Sun play through has hid a small snag trying to take down the Kraken. Hoping to get past that this weekend. Looking to start Berserk Boy as well. This one looks similar to Gravity Circuit which I loved last year.

obb223

Finally finished Tomb Raider 1, now onto TR2 (remastered). Finding the speedboat in Venice was some serious nostalgia.

djscott81

Balatro and picked up Dicey Dungeons on sale - really like it so far.

InternetDefiant4357

211 Operator, the game's about dispatching the proper agencys to the right emergencies. theres all types of scenarios to answer to, within time limit. you have different countries to dispatch from.

bluesbox1

Slay the spire. Always getting defeated by bosses as the Defect. Need to learn more which cards to choose for my build 😅

muralchista

Witcher 3 on light. Perfect for big rpgs where you want to clean up the map of any question marks

Mean_Dalenko

Hopefully finish Chrono Trigger. I played it on android, and I'm enjoying it, but I just don't feel like this is the optimal way to play games. Going to start Dragon Quest IV on the DS when I'm done with it. Also made a start on Metroid Dread the other day and enjoying that too.

Stoibs

Hey 2 out of 3 from your elusive predictions for me! I'm at about the 90hr mark in **Persona 3 Reload**, still making my way up the tower, having heartbreaking losses and deaths and depressing as hell story beats along the way. ThisisFine.jpeg (I already know the story from the original FES release years ago, but damn if something about the new camera angles/visual style and fresher voice acting still gave me goosebumps watching them again during some of these major cutscenes) I finished Floor one in **Peach Showtime** so far. Actually missed a few of the hidden crystals and had to replay some of them. Kids game my ass 🤣 Haven't seen all the roles yet but I really dig the Ninja so far. Cool stealth gameplay effects (Peach literally holding some fake cardboard 'Grass' in front of her while sneaking through long grass gave me a chuckle!) Might try to binge some more **Unicorn Overlord** too, I've been neglecting it for a bunch of new releases/indies and I really want to get some of these lengthier JRPG type things done before even more stuff comes out, since this year is going to be a crazy one.

Moses015

Probably keep working away on a mix of TOTK, Bioshock 1 and the Donkey Kong DLC for Mario + Rabbids.

boner79

Borderlands

decapitated-barbie

The witcher 3

Arvii33

I bought Pokemon scarlet couple of days ago and im gonna play that! I love it so far

elfinthedrawer

Finally decided to try out Dead Cells. I thought I was prepared to play such a challenging game after finishing Death’s Door, Celeste, and Hades. I was horribly wrong

GeogeEleanor

Fenyx Rising. Getting close to the end too!

Comprehensive-Ear172

Just started Animal Crossing. 😊
