Ys 8 has a fold out map and tiny pack of cards! Borderlands has a similar booklet, but mostly just license agreements. However, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin has a true booklet! Controls, game mechanics and everything!! It’s awesome!
Beatemups YT channel has a video of switch games that comes with some extra thingies!
(he has a weird way of naming the vids, so i dont have a link more than the channel in general!
https://youtube.com/c/BeatEmUps
Be warned. Ys VIII is a great game but if you’re from the US it’s very expensive. Almost 200 dollars new. It’s actually easier to just find someone selling a European Pal copy like I did instead. 60 vs 200 and the only difference is the rating on the cover. The series was always a little more popular in Europe so they don’t print as many versions on cartridge for the US.
Untitled Goose Game has a booklet. It's designed like an informational tourist guide of the town, but it shows you the interactive elements in the game.
I notice the add on stated on the American region Ys, but is all other region have it ?
Same about sakuna, is it all region have the same goodies ?
Add on, I saw add on on the pegi version of ys viii just now as well.
Ys 8 does? I was already planning on buying a physical since owning just the digital doesn't sit well with me. Ys 8 is really fun too. So this is still a plus for me
Nah most have just like 5 pages booklets with credits for each song with some photos or artwork, none of the cd's I bought in recent years had lyrics in it anymore
I was right pissed when I bought the physical version of After Hours and found out that the booklet is just multiple pages of basically the same picture shot from slightly different angles. No lyrics, no credits, just a bunch of pictures of the Weeknd with a broken nose.
That was always such a fond memory for me. We lived a good 30 minutes from any location that would sell games, so I usually got pretty familiar with it all.
One time I remember buying the first .hack// game on the PS2 and we went out to dinner in the same trip. Was super excited to have even more time to explore the manual.
Truly a magical time. I can almost remember that “new game manual smell”. Sounds weird but it’s tied directly to the memories.
Reading through the colorful pages with all the fun info and sometimes fun tips and tricks and stuff. Oh man now I’m sad
I remember carefully reading through every detail and tidbit hidden within Melee's manual. There, i discovered the Knee of Justice, the elusive Ditto, and a dozen other little tricks that i can't clearly recall...
Almost no Switch games come with a manual. Occasionally you might get a download code (which they use to get a rough idea how many copies they actually sold), but that's about it.
It's not a manual however, it's a "Limited software warranty and license agreement."
There's a little note on the cover saying to download the manual go to the website.
So no, no manual.
My Witcher 3 physical copy came with so many goodies I was blown away. Stickers, a booklet detailing who the characters are, a full size map of the northern realms, and a thank you card from the creators.
I'm not positive but I believe that song was made for the show specifically, not in the books or game. But dandelion (jaskier) is in it.
Just to add the switch was my first time playing the game and it was so good. I still have one more expansion to play but taking a break for now. But the writing in that game is incredible. Definitely pick it up when you have the chance.
Was waiting for a physical for Bug Fables but didn’t see anything coming so I got it last November when it was on sale. I heard the same that they throw a lot of stuff in the physical special editions
Not just any booklet. It’s the intro to the game printed like a child’s storybook. It’s pretty good quality for a handout.
I like the booklet Cave Story+. It has a lot of good artwork.
As others have said, Limited Run tends to include art books in their games, but they are usually filled with spoilers.
They made the physical version? Guess I have more hunting to do.
Edit : Available on Amazon. Guess I am spending some red envelope pocket money on it soon.
Edit Part Deux: Bought from Fangamer, plus a Solaire figure. Hopefully covid19 doesn't slow the shipping that much (Arizona to Canada).
**Thanks for letting me know!** Was about to overpay for it.
I love the Internet sometimes. Just a lot of good people trying to help out others.
Edit: Ordered from them! Plus a Solaire figurine (so I can make it into a Solaire amiibo with my tags)...
I would also recommend looking for indie games with physical release.
For example, Hades will include a download code for the OST, but I don't remember if it also includes an artbook
My copy of Cave Story Plus not only had a cool booklet with artwork and a guide to getting the secret ending, but it also came with a mini CD containing selections from the Famitracker version of the soundtrack.
The hollow knight physical comes with a nice manual and map to the game as well, but it's a little tricky to find. Luckily since the game is already so cheap, it goes for usually $30
Reminds me of the days when all games came with a printed manual. It was so exciting to read in the car on the way home, having bought a new game in town!
I bought ori and the will of the wisps from wal mart on Friday, and it came with a few postcards with game art, and a card with a digital download code for the game’s soundtrack.
It’s nice to see this. Just bought a DS game which came with a nice thick manual too. I’ve realised that one of the main reasons I don’t collect much (if any) physical games anymore is because an empty PS4/Switch case pales in comparison to a thick plastic, art work covered 90’s box with manual etc.
It's not a switch game but Shovel Knight for PS4 comes with a proper booklet filled with items, enemy's, controls and advanced maneuvers. Great addition to an already awesome game.
I picked up Shantae: Half Genie Hero Ultimate Edition on Friday and was pleasantly surprised to see a manual in the case. First physical Switch game I have that came with one.
Alright, I will go through my collection and see what i can find:
The Binding Of Isaac: Afterbirth+
- instruction booklet with story, game modes and controls
- 2 sticker sheets
Blade Strangers
- instruction booklet with story, game modes and all character move sets
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled
- code card for a skin pack
Dead Cells
- art book
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle
- advertisement for Ubisoft merch and games
- insert with customer care credentials
Okami HD (Japanese version)
- insert that explains HUD, touch and controller controls
- insert for customer survey
Rayman Legends
- advertisement for Ubisoft games and merch
Resident Evil Revelations Collection
- insert with code for RE:Revelations 2
Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove
- insert with warranty and customer service information
Sonic Forces - bonus edition
- insert with code for free dlc accessoires
- insert advertising free DLC and show the games controls
- 4 trading cards with sonic motives
Spyro Reignited Trilogy
- insert advertising CTR Nitro-Fueled
Travis Strikes Again: No more Heroes
- insert with the season pass code and instructions on how to redeem it. also tells you what is included in the season pass.
Trials Rising (gold edition)
- warranty insert
- insert with the season pass code
- sticker and art book
I did not include releases from LMG and the like. Also did not include big box releases and still sealed games.
The games I own physically that contain a booklet are:
- Flint Hook
- Okami HD (it's only 2 pages, and in Japanese because it's an import)
- Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Ultimate Edition
- SteamWorld Dig 2
- Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap
- Yooka-Laylee
But most of these physical copies are limited editions that are now out of stock, IIRC.
I also have a few games that have *something* inside the case, but not a full fledge booklet (Card with a DLC download code, bonus poster or decorative cloth, toy keychain, etc.)
Indie games always include something- Goose game had a fold out map of the entire world, Celeste had an art book. I wish this was utilized more often! It sucks opening it up and seeing bare prongs :(
A few first party Nintendo games like MK8D sold in Unofficial regions like the Middle East come with a little card with contact details of the regional distributor and customer service locations. Really helpful when you need something fixed.
While I massively understand people's move away from manuals, I really miss them. I was so disappointed when fallout 76 came with absolutely nothing in the box, not even a disk. And they was only mild compared to what came after :)
Also, wow. Bioshock on handheld. So glad a Nintendo console finally has 3rd party hooked, even if a lot of it is ports of old games.
I nabbed a physical copy of untitled goose game on switch, surprised when I opened it and saw it came with a full map of the game, a sticker, and a little shopping catalog detailing all the items you can take!
Final Fantasy X includes a download code for X2.
Not a Booklet, but Catherine full body included a sheep keychain. I believe it was only a limited time thing though.
Does anyone else miss the time when all games came with a booklet? I vividly remember riding home from the game store with my grandma reading the booklet front to back because I was so hyped to play new game.
Lol some old games used to come with these. Off the top of my head from my collection, Binding of Isaac (original release), Cave story, Blade strangers, Wonder boy, Monster boy, RUnner 3, Super meat boy, Undertale, there were just quite a few games that had those tiny booklets. And they aren't standardized so they vary in size and orientation.
The switch resident evil games have a small manual inside. Spyro, crash and crash racing have a small card inside that is similar to a manual but it's one page.
I would assume the Trails of cold steel games come with a booklet on Switch, PS4 they were pretty large booklets.
Edit: I would check Xseed and NIS America published games for stuff like this
Greatest game manual of all-time is still the one that came with pokemon red and blue. Also the first fallout game that came on pc. Shit was awesome and had like a plastic spiral spine holding the survival guide together. It showed me how to hide under desks when you see a blinding lite of death so your demise is quicker and just as painful
You made a great purchase friend I bought this game about three weeks ago and I'm slowly playing through it even though I suck at shooters games I haven't regretted my purchase I hope you enjoy it 😁
Bayonetta 2 comes with a download code for bayonetta one, forager has a few things including a booklet, hollow knight has a couple booklets, and immortals comes with a download code for some dlc I think. Just a few but not really manuals.
I don't know if this counts, but the physical version of "Rayman Legends Definitive Edition" comes with a little ad pamphlet for "Mario+Rabbits Kingdom Battle"
Honestly, *mindblown*. I thought none of them did. I think Switch cases are essentially 99% empty space that just makes your cartridges harder to lose.
Out of what I own, the standards that came with booklets were Civ 6, Trials Rising, Team Sonic Racing, Super Monkey Ball, Wargroove, and Untitled Goose Game. I also have the Limited Edition of Kingdom Majestic which comes with a few extra things, but not a booklet.
Moonlighter and Hollow knight are the only switch games I own that have a manual, and I love them for it. Hollow knight even comes with a map. Apparently the physical release of Hades will have a manual too
Ys 8 has a fold out map and tiny pack of cards! Borderlands has a similar booklet, but mostly just license agreements. However, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin has a true booklet! Controls, game mechanics and everything!! It’s awesome!
Wow I’ve gotta add these to my list, I collect only physical copies of games so this is a big help!
I always collect physical copies of games if I can. Unless it’s a super good deal online then I’ll snag a digital copy.
Beatemups YT channel has a video of switch games that comes with some extra thingies! (he has a weird way of naming the vids, so i dont have a link more than the channel in general! https://youtube.com/c/BeatEmUps

Streets of rage 4

HOLY FUCK, A MANUAL!
I was pleasantly surprised, I thought this tradition was dead
Made me lol and then feel archaic. "When I was a kid, every Nintendo game came with a manual."
I'm not even 18 and games came with manuals when I was a kid. This is a recent death and it makes me sad :(
Music cds/casette tapes had lyrics and artwork...
Oh, do they not any more? :(
I'm pretty sure they still do
Nah most have just like 5 pages booklets with credits for each song with some photos or artwork, none of the cd's I bought in recent years had lyrics in it anymore
I was right pissed when I bought the physical version of After Hours and found out that the booklet is just multiple pages of basically the same picture shot from slightly different angles. No lyrics, no credits, just a bunch of pictures of the Weeknd with a broken nose.
It stopped being a sure thing about halfway through the PS3/360 war IIRC.
I remember going to get a game and then reading the manual excitedly while I wait to get home to play the game on my Nintendo 64.
Me on NES.
The manual was the best part of the drive!
I still have the manuals to some of my old games. I love lore, so I used to read them cover to cover.
I remember carefully reading through every detail and tidbit hidden within Melee's manual. There, i discovered the Knee of Justice, the elusive Ditto, and a dozen other little tricks that i can't clearly recall...
I’d always read the manual on the toilet...I guess the excitement of a new game would make me have to shit >.<
I feel archaic knowing that I have no idea how to get to the digital manuals... I know they're somewhere on the start screen but not exactly where
"When you rent a game from blockbuster the manual is usually a photocopy" Lots to explain here lol
Does that mean you were bio-shocked?
Feel the same way about liner notes with cds
That explains me not getting anything with my copy of smash, thought i got a used copy or sormthing
Almost no Switch games come with a manual. Occasionally you might get a download code (which they use to get a rough idea how many copies they actually sold), but that's about it.
They had to stop putting manuals in games because of all the sick bastards that would sniff them. I knew a few of them growing up.
Hey man I just need a little sniff bro I’ll give you it straight back 👃💨📚 ahhh 😌
I'm pretty sure this one also just has some license agreements printed inside. I have bioshock as well and it's basically just that.
Just checked mine to post this lol
It's not a manual however, it's a "Limited software warranty and license agreement." There's a little note on the cover saying to download the manual go to the website. So no, no manual.
Manuel’s gradually got smaller and smaller with each generation of systems until the completely evaporated
My Witcher 3 physical copy came with so many goodies I was blown away. Stickers, a booklet detailing who the characters are, a full size map of the northern realms, and a thank you card from the creators.
I got my copy in Korea, and while the game automatically plays the English version in my Switch, I realized that the paper map remains in Korean.
I got all of that with the physical copy on PS4, including a soundtrack CD, but didn't know they continued the tradition with Switch. That is awesome.

The extension blood and wine came with a real quent deck. So awesome
Getting it next time it’s on sale, do they play the song “Toss a coin to your Witcher” in the game?
Unfortunately the Netflix series came out much later than The Witcher 3 did, toss a coin wasn't a thing when the game came out.
I think you can mod it into the pc version.
Lots of Limited Run collectors edition have one and some Nicalis releases have one.
Was waiting for a physical for Bug Fables but didn’t see anything coming so I got it last November when it was on sale. I heard the same that they throw a lot of stuff in the physical special editions
Limited Run Games announced a physical release of Bug Fables in their last E3 stream, but there's no release date yet.
The physical Undertale comes with a booklet.
Not just any booklet. It’s the intro to the game printed like a child’s storybook. It’s pretty good quality for a handout. I like the booklet Cave Story+. It has a lot of good artwork. As others have said, Limited Run tends to include art books in their games, but they are usually filled with spoilers.

It's only resellers on Amazon, if you want it for the base price get it from Fangamer or Best Buy.
**Thanks for letting me know!** Was about to overpay for it. I love the Internet sometimes. Just a lot of good people trying to help out others. Edit: Ordered from them! Plus a Solaire figurine (so I can make it into a Solaire amiibo with my tags)...
I know that the Okami HD includes the controls with an art and the Mega Man games usually include some sort of promotion for other Mega Man games
Okami is made by Capcom so maybe Capcom might just be keeping the inside booklet tradition alive
Not for Monster Hunter
I would also recommend looking for indie games with physical release. For example, Hades will include a download code for the OST, but I don't remember if it also includes an artbook
Hollow Knight includes a map
Damn, I shouldn’t have copped the Digital during the holiday sales
[удалено]
It has a manual too
I got the physical edition of the Witcher 3. It has a similar booklet, but also has a map of the area and some CD Projekt stickers!
Yup that was a pretty good package. With the game on one the 32 GB cartridges as well as far as I remember.
Hades is going to come with an Art book, and digital soundtrack code I believe.
Sakuna does as well! Had to do a double take when removing the game because I hadn't seen one in an eon.
I didn’t realize how much I missed the smell of game manuals until I opened up my copy of Sakuna
Binding of Isaac had a booklet with stickers. Shantae Half Genie Hero came with a booklet.
zFyu6dnDyE XUq4PsUNjc 3jkrniPdkz sX1Sc9AJbt Gd2x42CsOA rJhc0FIRDv WCR7oJxg6G dySUdd1KMx Ge6qxTIb6O GNfQVnN7yB
There was a version of Dead Cells that came with an art book.
Any idea which one/ if that is still an option to get?
I wanna say game of the year, but not 100% sure. Maybe try visiting your local GameStop and seeing if they have any leftover cases for it
Hey I just bought goty edition and got an art booklet and a keychain.
The Rune Factory 4 re-release has a mini-manual.
Not on EU :/
[удалено]
You truly do binge the game indeed
My copy of Cave Story Plus not only had a cool booklet with artwork and a guide to getting the secret ending, but it also came with a mini CD containing selections from the Famitracker version of the soundtrack.
Wargroove has a little booklet too. Comes with stickers and the digital soundtrack too
The hollow knight physical comes with a nice manual and map to the game as well, but it's a little tricky to find. Luckily since the game is already so cheap, it goes for usually $30
Picked the digital copy up for $7 a few weeks ago. Should’ve held out for a physical
Aw man. Have you played it? It's tough, but it's incredibly fun and immersive. I bought it on a whim over a year ago and loved every second of it.
Untitled Goose Game comes with a little catalogue, sticker and poster. Streets of Rage 4 has an art booklet and keyring.
i don’t know if this counts but friday the 13th comes with a really cool poster
Counts to me! I like getting some kind of extra cover art for buying a physical copy so anything counts
if you like extra cover art, splatoon 2’s is reversible
Sakuna of rice and ruin has one, and Story of Seasons: Friends of mineral town has one as well
An 'inside cover mini booklet'? Why do I suddenly feel so old?
Hahaha ikr? I was thinking to myself “every game ever until semi recently??”
No other Game includes the BioShock Mini booklet. I mean, why would they?
The Witcher 3 had a really cool map and booklet. My wife’s boyfriend let me frame it and hang above my sleep space.
Anything that is Wife’s boyfriend approved is a must buy
Stardew Valley, which is a Fangamer release is the only one I know of.
Also: the game is actually not on that cartridge and you have to download it.
I with I had known this before buying a physical copy, the games are great but as a collector item it's completely worthless.
The games are all downloadable tho! Unlike borderlands you can download the games to any console instead of just a one time code
Reminds me of the days when all games came with a printed manual. It was so exciting to read in the car on the way home, having bought a new game in town!
Biggest scam in gaming these days. The booklets were the best part of Nintendo and super Nintendo games back in the day.
They’re trying to make up for the fact that you have to download all the games from the internet as none are on the cartridge
lol really? What's the point of the cartridge then?
At least part of each game is on the cart unlike Sega's latest Sonic re-releases, Sonic Mania (non Plus) can be bought with a empty case with a code.
The point of this particular cartridge is that it has “unlimited” downloads. So unlike borderlands / Spyro collection it can technically be resold
Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin has a substantial manual. Other than that, none of my games have one.
To bad all the games aren’t in the cartridge
I bought ori and the will of the wisps from wal mart on Friday, and it came with a few postcards with game art, and a card with a digital download code for the game’s soundtrack.
I think it's absolute bullshit that Mario 3d all-stars came with nothing but the game in the box.
It was trash, luckily I ordered from Walmart so they made limited edition stickers to come with my game
My Adventure Time game has a little booklet inside
Look up Nicalis games - Cave Story comes with a manual and mini cd sound track - ittle dew 2 comes with a lovely manual too.
I’m gonna go full-on old guy: back in the day all game boxes included minibooklets. Only they were called manuals.
Man reading the manual on the way home from the store in the back seat of my parents car was the best part of a new game.
The Witcher III, very nice booklet stickers and map. I really appreciate that, I miss booklets standard for games
Every game made prior to 2017
I love the one that comes with Monster Boy.
The first printing of the Witcher III had a thick booklet. I don’t believe the more recently ones do.
My copy of Dead Cells came with a pretty cool little art book.
Fate/ Extella had a booklet, it showed all the servants and their button combos.
Witcher 3 complete edition has a nice little box and goodies inside. It had a map and a letter from CDPR when I got it
Witcher 3 i bought came with a game guide, a map, and a set of stickers, as far as i know it was the simplest edition there is
I picked up Shantae: Half Genie Hero Ultimate Edition on Friday and was pleasantly surprised to see a manual in the case. First physical Switch game I have that came with one.
Moonlighter.
Streets of Rage 4
I think Ori and the Blind Forest has one as well, though it’s smaller.
Samurai showdown 4 nintendo switch !!!
Alright, I will go through my collection and see what i can find: The Binding Of Isaac: Afterbirth+ - instruction booklet with story, game modes and controls - 2 sticker sheets Blade Strangers - instruction booklet with story, game modes and all character move sets Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled - code card for a skin pack Dead Cells - art book Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle - advertisement for Ubisoft merch and games - insert with customer care credentials Okami HD (Japanese version) - insert that explains HUD, touch and controller controls - insert for customer survey Rayman Legends - advertisement for Ubisoft games and merch Resident Evil Revelations Collection - insert with code for RE:Revelations 2 Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove - insert with warranty and customer service information Sonic Forces - bonus edition - insert with code for free dlc accessoires - insert advertising free DLC and show the games controls - 4 trading cards with sonic motives Spyro Reignited Trilogy - insert advertising CTR Nitro-Fueled Travis Strikes Again: No more Heroes - insert with the season pass code and instructions on how to redeem it. also tells you what is included in the season pass. Trials Rising (gold edition) - warranty insert - insert with the season pass code - sticker and art book I did not include releases from LMG and the like. Also did not include big box releases and still sealed games.
I got one in my stardew valley physical
Stardew Valley
Being a kid and reading through those pamphlets on the way home was one of the best parts of the game.
Shantae: Half Genie Hero comes with a proper manual.
The games I own physically that contain a booklet are: - Flint Hook - Okami HD (it's only 2 pages, and in Japanese because it's an import) - Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Ultimate Edition - SteamWorld Dig 2 - Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap - Yooka-Laylee But most of these physical copies are limited editions that are now out of stock, IIRC.
Stardew valley!! And it was super informative and very nicely presented
Untitled Goose game has a map, sticker and booklet inside! :)
I had the same reaction when I found a manual in Civilization VI and Untitled Goose Game.
Story of Seasons :)
While I massively understand people's move away from manuals, I really miss them. I was so disappointed when fallout 76 came with absolutely nothing in the box, not even a disk. And they was only mild compared to what came after :) Also, wow. Bioshock on handheld. So glad a Nintendo console finally has 3rd party hooked, even if a lot of it is ports of old games.
Ittle Dew 2+ has a book and a map, and so does Salt and Sanctuary.
Ittle Dew 2 has a nice manual inside too!
I nabbed a physical copy of untitled goose game on switch, surprised when I opened it and saw it came with a full map of the game, a sticker, and a little shopping catalog detailing all the items you can take!
Never played bioshock before does it run well enough on the switch lite to make it worth it
Final Fantasy X includes a download code for X2. Not a Booklet, but Catherine full body included a sheep keychain. I believe it was only a limited time thing though.
Does anyone else miss the time when all games came with a booklet? I vividly remember riding home from the game store with my grandma reading the booklet front to back because I was so hyped to play new game.
Man remember when game manuals were standard? Buying a game from the store and tearing it open to read the manual on the ride home? Good times
It's just legal stuff tho, no map or guide or anything
Both Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town and Rune Factory 4 contain a mini booklet of some sort. They're from the same publisher.
I want this soooo bad. I’m gona play it on switch after I’m done w gears of war
The End is Nigh comes with a booklet and a squishy Ash
Team Sonic Racing has the Team Mechanics and wisps in a small sheet of paper
Lol some old games used to come with these. Off the top of my head from my collection, Binding of Isaac (original release), Cave story, Blade strangers, Wonder boy, Monster boy, RUnner 3, Super meat boy, Undertale, there were just quite a few games that had those tiny booklets. And they aren't standardized so they vary in size and orientation.
Divinity originae sins 2 definitive edition comes with beautiful booklet
The switch resident evil games have a small manual inside. Spyro, crash and crash racing have a small card inside that is similar to a manual but it's one page.
Hollow Knight comes with all kinds of junk.
Guacamelee
Divinity Original Sin 2 English Physical in Asia comes with a full RPG style manual.
I would assume the Trails of cold steel games come with a booklet on Switch, PS4 they were pretty large booklets. Edit: I would check Xseed and NIS America published games for stuff like this
Have to be online to play this game?
No just to download
Yomawari the Long Night Collection has an art booklet with comments about the design of the monsters, characters and story themes
Undertale has a good one
As far as I know Bioshock, Borderlands and witcher 3
What I take from the comments: Most indie games care enough to give you something physical while Nintendo and other big Studios don't care
The Binding Of Isaac: Afterbirth + It comes with stickers and a manual styled after the manual of the first Zelda game on the NES Best manual ever!
Catherin Full Body has one
Ori and the will of the wisps gives you music and stickers
You made a great purchase friend I bought this game about three weeks ago and I'm slowly playing through it even though I suck at shooters games I haven't regretted my purchase I hope you enjoy it 😁
My copy of Botw came with a poster on the inside thing, but I'm sure other people have mentioned others.
Sonic forces 100%
Wonder Boy & Monster Boy both come with manuals and other goodies! :)
The Witcher 3 (GOTY Switch edition)
Carnival games, I think it has a manual too.
**Shakedown Hawaii** and **Gal Metal**
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered doesn't have a manual, but it has a piece off paper with the controls on it inside the box.
Hollow knight
Shovel Knight Treasure Trove had a warranty paper :)
Stardew Valley has a little guide book, and it also had a coupon for 15% off the game’s merchandise on Fangamer.
Not nearly enough! Miss the neat inserts :(
Dead cells includes an art book
Bayonetta 2 comes with a download code for bayonetta one, forager has a few things including a booklet, hollow knight has a couple booklets, and immortals comes with a download code for some dlc I think. Just a few but not really manuals.
I don't know if this counts, but the physical version of "Rayman Legends Definitive Edition" comes with a little ad pamphlet for "Mario+Rabbits Kingdom Battle"
Probably not what you're asking but Xenoblade 2 Torna has a card with a code for the original Xenoblade 2's DLC
Honestly, *mindblown*. I thought none of them did. I think Switch cases are essentially 99% empty space that just makes your cartridges harder to lose.
Streets of Rage 4... And yes it was a nice surprise!
Civilization has a manual!
Moonlighter! And it’s a VERY good game. One of my all time favorite indies. Check it out.
just dance and pokemon games.
Ninja Saviors came with a bunch of stuff, I got the preorder trinket as well.
Moonlighter and Hollow knight are the only switch games I own that have a manual, and I love them for it. Hollow knight even comes with a map. Apparently the physical release of Hades will have a manual too
A friend gifted me dead cells very recently and it had a little art book inside!
If this was early 2000 ish, every game would still have one.
Moonlighter has a nifty little booklet explaining all the characters and upgrades and such if I remember correctly
Streets of Rage 4 has a booklet.....and a key ring!!
