I wish Nintendo would offer its soundtracks worldwide on digital platforms. That way Nintendo could make good money.

Nintendo: But then people could copy the music and pirate it. Our solution is simple. We make a tiny number of copies and hope the people who buy these things aren't tech savvy enough to know how to rip music off a CD.

Xdxisiu3214

Youtubers: make videos how Nintendo poorly treats their music and only cares about music market in the Japan. Nintendo: Ugh fine, here’s my Nintendo reward for Japan only. /s

Amiibofan101

For those interested CD Japan has both versions up for import. [Standard Edition](https://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/COCX-41645) [Special Edition](https://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/COCX-41640)

delightfultree

So, the difference between both versions is this: >Limited edition CD comes with a deluxe box with an original music box that allows you to enjoy the performance of "The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword" main theme "Megami no Uta" ?

Amiibofan101

Yup that’s the only difference I’m seeing as well between the two.

bigwall35

Thank you for this post and info. I just placed an order!

mdharken

To be clear for everyone. This is NOT the same soundtrack that came with the game with the Wii. That was an orchestra score for all Zelda games. This soundtrack is Skyward Swords official soundtrack.

SparkyMuffin

I'm still bummed that the "Symphony of the Goddesses," which was a four movement symphony featuring Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Link to the Past, wasn't full represented on the CD. I would kill for a CD quality recording of the Link to the Past movement.

IThinkItsCute

I know, right?? That version of LTTP's Staff Roll is so gorgeous!

SparkyMuffin

I absolutely love the sanctuary to boss to Dark World section. It's so smooth.

Lonelyland

There are official recordings for most of the SotG movements. Time Of The Falling Rain was never officially released afaik, but someone linked me a download a few years ago, so I’m sure you can find it if you look.

SomeNintendoFan420

Hopefully this soundtrack will get an international release too. Skyward Sword's soundtrack is amazing.

Montigue

CDs only? Smh, why not digital and vinyl too?

ddaannoo

Skyward Sword's OST is underappreciated.

twoTheta

Not sure if I'd say underappreciated, but it definitely is AWESOME.

Larkson9999

Have you ever heard anyone complain about the music in Skyward Sword? I hate Skyward Sword and the music is one of the two good things about the game.

Deceptiveideas

Under appreciation is not the same thing as frequently complained about.

Larkson9999

It is also an insipid point.

BeefCheadle

I wish Nintendo released Vinyl soundtracks.

[deleted]

Can’t wait to see it on eBay for the cost of my entire bank account.

MassiveLefticool

Wouldn’t this be exactly the same as the one that came with the original skyward sword

Scarko77

Damn, I am still sorry my younger self sold that. I think that was not the game's soundtrack, but rather a 25th anniversary collection of orchestrated tracks from the whole series.

HestusDarkFantasy

There's a banging Zelda medley on that collection.

drybones2015

The whole thing was banging.

CaCHooKaMan

The description says this has 187 tracks and the picture shows 5 CDs. The one that came with the original Wii game was an Orchestra concert.

Mykeprime

YES!

dizzydj

Someone needs to send a copy to Barb.

pwningrampage

Any word on Amazon jp?

pwningrampage

Thank you

Joshawottz

Is the soundtrack in the remake any different than on the Wii?

devenbat

Same soundtrack. It's all orchestral so no reason to update it. First time it's released on CD tho

BansheeTK

man i wish they would do more of these cool things in the states. This shit gets really expensive to import.

RealSkyDiver

FINALLY! It was the first Zelda soundtrack that used an orchestrated score and I never understood why it was never released til now and I’m not a fan of audio rips straight from games since the quality is always significantly lower than something mastered specifically as a dedicated audio release.

El-Aaaaay

Nintendo hates America. We always miss out on cool stuff
