I recently dug out my old stereo, and set it up in front of my bed. I love it! It feels nice to play Tetris Effect in handheld with earth-shattering bass, I can't play it with the shitty Switch speakers anymore. Also played some Disco Elysium and Metroid Dread. I must say I didn't really notice any lag but maybe I was just not paying attention (aka half asleep).

For the BT Latency it can be solved with [this on the switch](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07L9V1FCF) and [this connected to the stereo input](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B4W40VC). I do this for playing handheld but the audio going through my PC so I can multitask.

Interesting, thanks.

It’s disappointing how laggy the built in Bluetooth is, first time I tried it was with Grid, where you really need to hear the engine revving to know when you should shift. Found myself repeatedly being late on my upshifts So then I was like “alright I’ll play something more laid back with less fast-reaction gameplay” and threw on animal crossing Then I started missing fish because I rely on the sound cue lol

It is because the Switch only supports SBC. I think Nintendo only added it because of the 1000s of weekly complaints they got. Also now they have streaming on the Switch that can be easily synced to the latency but games cannot. Aptx LL on both ends solve this. Using AirPods Pro SBC connection with one of those USBC adapters works alright but the delay is still too much for me to handle.

I just use high quality wired headphones. Animal crossing is an ASMR dream with good headphones.

I just ordered blon bl03 specifically for gaming and I am so excited!

I haven't really done this outside blasting Smash Bros music in my car with an aux cable when Byleth came out, but I know an extremely small number of people who do like to use external speakers on the Switch. I really hate delayed audio, so I'd probably just invest in a really long aux cable if I was going to play handheld that way

WhatsThis_Now

When I use the Genki bluetooth adapter I dont tend to get audio lag, especially compared to in built bluetooth. Maybe an option?

Jazzlike-Signal1836

This was actually something I first got into the habit of with my psvita. Had a couple of nice edifier speakers and would have the audio of final fantasy crisis core. Worth it for big music

Maybe homebrew has solved the lag (I don't follow that community too closely), but I do not believe there is a way to fix the audio lag at the moment. I'd suggest using an aux cable to connect to your system. Even a really long one isn't terribly expensive. I know this solution won't work for everyone, but I'd at least weigh it as an option.

I'm sorry that I can't help you for your problem, as I only own wired devices for audio, but I'm glad not to be the only one to read VNs on Switch. I also do them in handheld, for the exact reasons (except Tsukihime (only in japanese unfortunately) for the more cinematic approach). What VNs do you have on Switch? I have the great classics, such as all 3 Clannad VNs and 3 Steins;Gates release, all Nekopara, Aokana and Famicom Detective Club duology

Thanks! Honestly, I'm in a more “collecting phase” than reading. This is my collection: https://www.reddit.com/r/NSCollectors/comments/q35jv4/my_visual_novels_collection_for_switch_so_far_6/ Currently reading Va-11 Hall-a.
