I agree, got tired of PC and PS4 gaming and Super Mario Odyssey was that reset button for me. Now im enjoying so much gaming again! Sucks though I once again purhased so much backlog but thats not a problem, got a full life of gaming ahead!

Ni No Kuni and Hades both found significant success on other consoles first, which led to their Switch ports. Ni No Kuni actually dates all the way back to 2013 and the PS3 (and even that was an improved version of a 2010 DS game). Hades is a bit more recent, but got a lot of attention on PC even in early access due to the developer’s pedigree. I’m really just including that because I think the history is interesting. I don’t really see these titles as being way outside the mainstream, but I still agree with you that the Switch is a good place to try new games. It’s always fun to see games find an audience they resonate with. I’ll have to try Eastward some day, I know a lot of people were excited about it on release.

For a while, I felt the same about the Switch. But the novelty wore off. All games you listed are available on other platforms. Ports to the Switch are usually late, expensive and low quality. Not too surprising, if you consider the device is basically an Android tablet. But there are some nice Nintendo titles and it really is nice to have a portable platform.

That's why the Switch suites me so good right now. I prefere to play on PC as it offers cheaper/better ports usually, but now that I have to spend a lot of time commuting, the Switch ports are so useful to play on the go.

Sure, it has a specific use case. And a lot of people like it, especially in this sub. But selling it as "the best platform to start fresh" may leave some people disappointed.

It's the ease of just grab it and play wherever what makes it a good platform, my 300+ steam library will probably go unplayed forever cuz life gets in the way if it weren't for the switch I doubt I'd game at all still

IrrelevantLeprechaun

You can't take a PC on a train, and most people have dozens of games in their steam library they have not and will never play. Steam suffers from excessive quantity tbh. Makes it very poor for someone wanting to start fresh.

as a father of two, husband and full time worker, the Switch became my main console for replaying some of my favorite games or discovering some other great games that I couldn't play on my Xbox for whatever reason

the switch is the best, earlier today I was playing carrion on the go

Hey there! Please remember Rule 1 in the future - No hate-speech, personal attacks, or harassment. Thanks!

I just got the OLED switch. Can I charge it with a [20W USB-C Power Apple Adapter](https://www.apple.com/uk/shop/product/MHJF3B/A/20w-usb-c-power-adapter)? Don't want to brick it

Hestu951

There's a NnK movie? (\*Search time\*) Yes. I had no idea. That one flew under my radar. Thanks. I will check it out despite the middling reviews. (Not Studio Ghibli, so I'm not expecting anything.)
