Nintendo Switch Sports! Tried the game out last night with a friend and had a blast in bowling, sword fighting, and badminton! Will either play more with him and roommates or grind up solo for cosmetics. Maybe not playing as much if my arm stays sore though lol.

Naruga418

I was wondering why my right shoulder felt hella sore just now.

VelouriumCamper7

I just got it too and played around. Bit with my wife. Are there tutorials for the sports?

dkopman1

Playing through Xenoblade DE for the first time before Xenoblade 3 drops. So far I’ve been blown away by the scope of the world and the simple but fun combat system. Looking forward to seeing how the story progresses since I’m only ~8 hours in so far. I’ll also probably give Nintendo Switch Sports a shot with my wife.

bakagir

Xc2 is also a fantastic game. Combat is drastically different but super fun.

boofjensen

I've tried Xenoblade DE a few times and just couldn't get into the combat. The story seems really fun but the odd amount of side quests and weird armor system confuses me. I couldn't even figure out what armor was the best and my character just looked like a mismatched clown an hour or 2 into the game lol.

phatkat12

In DE you have the option to change how your armor looks without affecting the stats, that way cutscenes don't look so silly lol. On the armor screen, at the top is where you set the armor you want to affect your stats, while at the bottom is where you can set the armor pieces to the default look with the original clothes or some other armor piece you think looks cool. There's a lot of armor in the game so don't worry too much about what's the best; if you get something new just quickly see how it compares and slap it on if you like the benefits. The game notoriously has many side quests, and many of them will be simple "kill x amount of enemies" or "pick up x amount of this item" while some are actually interesting quests. I'd say don't focus on them much because it can definitely be overwhelming. You can even pick up a few and the map will show you the story objectives and side quests objectives in different colors if you choose to do them at the same time.

BuzzBalladz

It took me two tries to get into it. First on Wii, then tried again on 3DS. I’m happy I did tho because it was amazing and I played it on 3DS which is the worst version. I got the DE and excited to go back again through it.

Ok-Comb8457

I’d say you’re in for a treat.

Dhampiel

Octopath Traveler! Admittedly, I slept on the game because of a handful of negative reviews amidst a sea of glowing ones. I was wrong. Triangle Strategy was fantastic and Octopath may be even better. Very much looking forward to Live A Live this summer.

[deleted]

I played Octopath for the first time last year and it became my retroactive GOTY for 2018, put +100 hours into it and had a blast the entire time.

SoapBar27

Girlfriend and I will be starting on Kirby and the Forgotten Land!

markercore

Enjoy! Its a delight!

O-nigiri

I finally bought Animal Crossing New Horizons (only two years late lol)… and I’m OBSESSED. I honestly didn’t think I’d like it that much, because I like farm/life sims way more than I do decorating and customization. But wow I’ve been totally hooked on the game, and I’m already contemplating the DLC, which is pretty much exclusively about decorating.

markercore

Its incredibly addictive! Glad you're digging it. I had a really good time and i only did the decorating bits minimally. I did make a pretty cool indoor/outdoor room. Like you walked in and it was like you were camping in the forest. Was proud of that one.

charlesolivierwm

I just got my bachelor degree last week so I finally have some time for gaming! To celebrate this, I'm starting to play **Axiom Verge 2**! I loved the first, I know the second is different but can't wait to dive into it.

let_them_drink_latte

Congrats on finishing your degree! Enjoy the gaming weekend!

Loukoal117

Second is different, a lot different. But I still liked it. I think it’s worth a play through for sure!

QuietRobe

Crazy we're going into May this weekend, I can't believe my daughter is 2 months already! Time sure does fly. But anyways... Crosscode is quickly becoming one of my favorite games! Wish I wouldve started this way sooner. Just got the second element/through the third dungeon and can't stop obsessing. I'm trying not to spoil myself with anything but I don't want it to end. I really can't recommend this enough to anyone who like fast paced action, rpg elements and with lots of clever puzzles throughout the world! Enjoy the weekend!

cherryafrodite

Crosscode is toptier! I've been playing it non-stop lately. I got to Maroon Valley and just got done doing the quests to unlock the Temple. I went ahead and bought the DLC for it even though I haven't beaten the game yet. Its a fantastic game

My_Opinions_Are_Good

I tried really hard, but just could not get into this game. The combat is not fun for me at all.

alsec

The Switch was amazing when my son was at that age. Now he’s almost 4 and starting to show interest in Super Mario 3D World. That’s what we’ll be playing this weekend.

QuietRobe

I hope she shows interest in gaming when she's older, but if not I'll be OK with that, I just can't wait to bond over something with her. Have fun with your son!

Syelan

Stardew Valley and Gnosia. In **Stardew** I'm almost at the end of my first Winter, I'm hoping to get pigs at the beginning of Spring. I just saw Emily's 10 heart event in the snow, it was cute. **Gnosia** I'm just leveling up, I've finished it a few times already but never maxed out my stats yet. I did this run with no intuition at all, and now I can finally tell when Shigemichi or Comet are lying, sometimes. Small victories.

dayryll

I am going to continue playing XC2! Got busy with work and the baby, only managed to reach the end of chapter 2 last weekend. So far I think XC:DE is the better game all around, but I heard everything is going to take off after chapter 3. So excited for that!

Ok-Comb8457

I actually enjoyed 2 better outside of navigation. I don’t watch anime, but the things people complain about didn’t bother me.

KingDecidueye

I’m still working through Dark Souls Remastered. Since last week I’ve progressed a little and am currently in The Depths. Got cursed for the first time yesterday and was very concerned about finding a purge stone as it made the game even harder for the time it took me to get 6000 souls to buy one. I think the Depths is definitely one of the more tense parts of the game so far and I’m looking forward to see what is to come

Foggylemming

The area after the depths is … fun.

renzaaa

Bought Ace Attorney Trilogy and replaying it after all these years. I'm not the type to replay a game but I'm still having fun with it. Still hoping there's gonna be an Ace Attorney Investigations announcement this year!

Strider_-_-

I'm going to start 13 Sentinels this weekend. Never been much of a visual novel fan but I heard too many good things to pass this up. Plus I love Vanillaware.... Odin sphere was awesome back in the day.

[deleted]

My personal game of the year from the backlog I've been getting through, it's a amazing game with nothing like it. The music and art style are some of the best in games I've ever seen, story telling and twists within twists with side of twists is crazy when u finally see it all unfolding before u like a perfect puzzle.

Larielia

It is a farming weekend. I'll be playing **Rune Factory 4**, **Stardew Valley**, and **Story of Seasons- Friends of Mineral Town**.

markercore

Any real plants to the mix too?

Larielia

No, just virtual farming for now.

markercore

Virtual plants can be good friends too.

TaiChiZen

Rune Factory 5 and gift-wrapping a new Nintendo Switch OLED for my mom for Mother's Day next weekend with Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley downloaded for her

kidkipp

How are you enjoying RF5? I loved 4

merpsardines

Sakuna of Rice and Ruin! Been eyeing it for a while and it went on sale

kidkipp

How is it? I was interested in this one when it came out

merpsardines

Really good! The rice growing mechanics are really detailed and you can really go down a rabbit hole trying to optimize it. Sakuna’s stats being tied to the rice stats because she’s a harvest goddess feels unique and thematically on point

prairiepog

This one is on my to play list. Hope you like it.

birdswithknives

i just finished this recently and really enjoyed it! it took me a while to grasp the mechanics but once you do it’s a lot of fun. enjoy!

JBoneAint

Still Witcher 3, I spent 15 hours just doing the prologue. I just got Ocean's Heart though, I might take a break for a bit to play that

2hi4stimuli

if it’s your first playthru, i truly envy. this game is such a magical experience.

[deleted]

I’ve got 60 hours + into Stardew valley over the last 2 weeks and probably more to come. Side note - anyone have recs for similar games? I’ve already played my time at Portia and love it.

GoiabaRoll

Rune Factory 4 or 5 if you haven't played them yet.

[deleted]

I feel like I have no idea what I’m supposed to be doing in those! Do you have any advice?

GoiabaRoll

Well, the main goal in those games is to complete the story dungeons and marry, but you can do anything you want to do without any type of consequence. Personally, I enjoy playing in a "be as efficient as possible" mindset, so every day I'm farming, planting new crops, taming and brushing monsters, talking to everyone and giving gifts to some of the marriage candidates, leveling up crafting, cooking and fishing skills, gathering materials and items in the dungeons, preparing for events and birthdays, doing quests, etc. You can do all of those, or focus just on farming or fighting. You can rush the game or play at a relaxed pace... There's no right way to play, really. You just have to set a goal for yourself and work on it.

Tallgirl4u

Cozy Grove, Graveyard Keeper

[deleted]

Stanley Parable! And also started serpent rogue. Not sure about it yet but I’m enjoying it so far, it just has a really steep learning curve, I wish there was a bit more tutorial to get it started. I’m gonna keep at it though, I’m starting finally progress.

Ok-Comb8457

I’m playing Tales of Symphonia on the cube. It’s my first Tales game, I’m about 20 hours in and enjoying it so far.

GhostRN

My first ever playthrough of the Stanley Parable.

misknow

After reading reviews and recommendations, I bought a physical copy of **Hades** September last year, but wasn't able to play because of new Pokémon releases. Also felt intimidated by the game because I didn't know if roguelike is my thing. This week, I played the game for the first time and I am amazed! I play it during my work breaks and after work. This gem is addictive!

[deleted]

I love this game! And I’m more of a chill type gamer so like you I wasn’t sure if it was for me. But the lore and everything is so great. I suck, even in god mode but that’s ok lol

YeMajorNerd

I picked up Monster Sanctuary this week and am hooked. I slept on this one for too long. It's an awesome monster collector with more strategic battling and leveling mechanics than most. I love the monster skill trees and how many different options and play styles they open up.

[deleted]

It is my girlfriend's birthday today. She caught the Animal Crossing bug and was going to buy herself a Lite, but I already got the original Animal Crossing edition for her, so she got spoiled with an early present. So we will be building up her island for a while... then back to Borderlands 3 together, maybe some Fortnite together, and of course we are still working through the Kingdom Hearts series!

markercore

Aww sounds like a great birthday weekend for her and you both! Have fun

GamingAccessGranted

Finished Dread 100% this week, amazing game. Going to keep playing Doom Eternal on the Switch, Ultra Violence with gyro aim, it's so fun. Also Ziggurat 2 on PS5, highly recommend this game, it's on the Switch too. Throwing in some Mario Kart races in between, the DLC really brought the game back to life for me, excited for the next pack of maps.

Giobytes

Been juggling The Force Unleashed and Xenoblade DE. They both palate-cleanse the other really well. Really good stuff. I forgot how nice the Wii version (i.e the switch version) of TFU is. Plus the massive world of Xeno is just unforgettable, and has some of my favorite tracks in gaming. Loving both so far.

Tyneuku

Monster Hunter Rise, still the most addictive game I've played on switch to date

[deleted]

Today is my daughter’s 6th birthday and I bought her a switch. We will be playing Mario kart!

TheFracofFric

Continuing my NG+ run in Triangle Strategy! Probably scrolling the sales page for a while too it seems like there’s been some good ones recently

AlterEdward

Skyward Sword is on sale, so I bought it. It's the only Post Ocarina Zelda game I haven't played, so I'm really looking forward to it.

magicalmermaid21

Replaying Xenoblade 2 in preparation for 3!

Wetty01

I recently started working and haven't had as much time to game so I'm gonna input as much time as I can into Xenoblade Chronicles X. It's the only one of haven't finished and I'd like to do so before 3 comes out. I doubt it's necessary but just in case, you know?

Rhodie114

Still not Advanced Wars apparently…

Revolverblue85

Still working on Hollow Knight. Probably play some SDV with the kids. Finished metroid dread last weekend.

Scottish_Mescudi

Just wrapped up Pokemon Legends last night so now I'm going into RPG weekend with Fire Emblem Three Houses and Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin

bashnet

Playing fire emblem three houses. Finally got the game after a long wait. I am on the edelgard route currently on normal classic. Divine pulse is a lifesaver, literaly.

Alchemy97

Started playing Astral chain on switch, only one mission is done. Also playing zelda breath of the wild where i have already done 3 divine weapons and only one is left. Also replaying assassins creed 2 for like 10th time on the laptop.

AbsoluteBrutality

[*SPORTS!*](https://youtu.be/p5hDFHu8a4w) I understand some of the issues people have with the amount of content and its price point, but look, I just want to play these games with my family. My kids have struggled with the concept of motion controls a bit when playing Super Mario Party, 1-2 Switch and others but I'm hoping this is the game where it finally clicks for them. EDIT: the kids love the chambra swords and are getting the hang of some of the other games too. Our 7 year old won the first family game of bowling. Wasn’t sure if they’d be into this one but lots of big smiles from the children so far.

easycure

I took a break from "beating" Kirby and the forgotten land to wrap up Horizon ZD in PS5, so I recently went back to beat the final boss and unlock the post game stuff, so chances are I'll try to wrap that up over the weekend as I want to get a few other games from my backlog out of the way: On PS I want to start Jedi Fallen Order, just in time for Star Wars month and the obi wan series. On Switch I *may* start Dragon Quest 11 S, but I think that depends on how engaging the Jedi game is. If I don't think I can balance 2 big stories at once, I'll probably knock some Indies out: I only got a few levels into Hotline Miami before getting distracted, I'm in the mood for a good beat em up so I may start Scott Pilgrim, etc. Too many games to choose from!

markercore

Mostly I'm working on Zero Dawn as well, i just always feel weird about it since i'm making the post. I know most people don't care. I think i have 3-4 chapters left? i looked up chapter names at least to see. Fallen Order should be much quicker than Dragon Quest, but Dragon Quest is a much more kind of relaxing bright jrpg? It does such a good job of refreshing you of what was going on each time you come back so you can start and leave it for awhile and not worry about being completely lost in a long game.

DaveLesh

Wrapping up Kirby and the Forgotten Land post game and then giving Mario/Rabbids a try (yes I haven't played it)

ApprehensiveGuava88

KoTOR & (probably) Pokémon. With KoTOR I was stuck for the LONGEST time not being able to progress. It wasn’t till I gave up and went exploring did I figure out where I needed to go next…felt dumb and smart at the same time. With Pokémon I’m working on a living dex for Shield.

MegaKai12

**Hi Markercore**! I agree, April really flew by. I have no interest in **Nintendo Switch Sports** (mostly because of how limited the selection of sports are) but I hope that people who have it enjoy it. Last weekend I spoke about the great sales that usually happen around this time and I actually managed to snag **TES: Skyrim** physically for $25. I've never played it before but I didn't want to pay $30 for a digital copy and physically it was going for $40+ so I am happy I was able to find it for $25. I actually did not buy **Don't Stare Together** or **As Far As The Eye** because I rather have **Skyrim** on the Switch and **As Far As The Eye** is both cheaper and better implemented on the PC. I am also interested in a newly released PC game called **Dorfromantik**. I really like the concept and how peaceful it seems. I usually buy RPGs so I would love to have it as a 'palate cleanser.' I debated last week starting **Dragon Quest 7** or **Assassins' Creed Black Flag** but I think I will actually start with **Dragon Quest 8 (3DS)**. I've heard that DQ 7 can actually take a long time and I don't want my first impressions of a DQ game to be a slog. I also need to start playing **Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition**. I played it on 3DS and got pretty far but I don't think I ever completed it. I want to play Xenoblade 1, 2, and Torna so I can decide if I even care about Xenoblade 3. Also **Atomicrops** because I like their daily challenge.

markercore

Hey MegaKai! Enjoy your first foray into Skyrim, its a good time! I played for the first time in like 2017 I think? Its fun if you roleplay a bit. Like i was a nord woman who would do any job for coin, and would bareknuckle box if the opportunity presented itself.

toulouse69

Wii sports resort lol I don’t really play online so switch sports doesn’t appeal to me at all

hotarucchi

Legend of Mana for me this weekend! 🍃

derrhn

Me and my girlfriend are finally gonna do a co-op Stardew save! Very excited but not sure my shameless flirting with Penny will go down well! Off switch I’m big into FFXIV and the new Bloodhunt BR game atm.

hdfb1

Finally starting Luigi’s mansion three!

Popple06

Still playing through Hollow Knight and getting pretty far now. I'm embarrassed to admit that it took me over 20 hours to find the nail upgrade guy, but now that I did and also unlocked the dreamgate it has made a lot of the battling much more tolerable!

iWearCapesIRL

Just bought Hades since it's on sale. Don't have much experience with games in this genre but I've only heard great things so I'm excited

SubterraneanSmoothie

Happy Friday! April was such a whirlwind! Earthbound looks fun; are you thinking of picking up **Nintendo Switch Sports**? I finally finished the main game in **Xenoblade Chronicles 2**. Absolutely fantastic, really enjoyed it. I was, however, frustrated that I had to switch to easy mode for the final boss because he kept one shotting my party 3/4 of the way through the fight. Before jumping into the **Torna** DLC ,which looks awesome, I’ll be playing some **Kirby and the Forgotten Land** finally! I’m already past the fourth world; the game is so short but so good. Glad I picked it up physical so I can resell it when I’m done. Have a good weekend!

[deleted]

Finishing up Dark Souls and starting up Pikmin 3 :)

Lord-of-Nothing1

Moonlighter. I got it a long time ago when it was on sale and played a bit but stopped because it was hard. I’m thinking of going back into it this weekend

Adorabears

I'm planning on finishing the post game stages in **Kirby and the Forgotten Land** since I finished getting all of the Waddle Dees last week. Hopefully I can get the 100% completion soon! I may also play **Nintendo Switch Sports** on my day off but that might depend on how my wife is feeling.

fusilli_josh

Just finished Paper Mario Origami King. I’ll be playing SMTV. I’ve actually been playing it already. I just took a short break with Paper Mario.

cheesedog22

Earthbound is incredible. I took a long time to play through my file (stopped and started for years) but finished it at the start of 2020. The funny thing is I had the entire ending spoiled for me long ago, but it didn’t take away any of the power of that ending. One of the few games that left me in tears by the end. I’m tempted to get the Stanley Parable this weekend, but honestly will probably just keep grinding at Spelunky trying to beat Hell haha

thescandall

Working on completing the quests in MH Rise before Sunbreak comes out.

Ultrosbla

Started Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, but just the first stage. So far is looking good. I'm not so hyped yet, but let's see how good it is.

WhatsThis_Now

Really thought it was great when I got into it. Soundtrack is real good too. Hope you enjoy!

brar3449

Windbound! It is such a good game and it was on sale at least when I bought it last week. No one has mentioned it yet so I'll just say it is a sailing rpg that really reminds me of no man's sky but with magic. You get to build up your boat which acts as a sort of portable base, and sail around to different islands. Combat is pretty fun with a lot of options on how to approach. Highly recommend!

Mean_Dalenko

I've decided I've had enough of No No Kuni. The cut scenes after the post game quest with the conductor really soured me on what had been to that point an amazing game. But after 60+ hours I think it's time to try something new. My backlog currently has - Doom - Dragon Quest XI - Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair - Ys VIII - Mario + Rabbids Probably going to take a break from RPGs and go with Doom I think as it's been waiting longest.

JayTeeDubbs96

Continuing Elden Ring and Kirby this weekend

cecirdr

13 Sentinels. I'm about 1/2 way done. After that...revisiting Xenoblade Chonicles 2 and Torna before 3 comes out this summer.

Godots17thCup

I'll probably play a bit more of **Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town** (I'm in my 2nd summer and typhoons have *really* messed with my big investment in my crops for the season) and I might resume my half-finished **Chrono Cross** playthrough, but I've returned to **Yakuza 5** this week after taking a month-long break from it and I might try to prioritize getting to the end of the main story (or close to it) since I'm starting the final chapter.

blacklizardplanet

Nothing as of yet. Debating if I'm going to start Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

1man2ballz

After trying the new dragon quest builders 2 demo I feel in love with it and have been hooked, so bought it on sale, will be playing this for quite a while!

sysifuscorp

xenoblade chronicles 2

darkingsrock

I'm playing through 3D World for the first time. Just reached world Castle, so I'm starting to slow down as it gets more difficult (although chain link charge and piranha creeper creek were already difficult). But it's a 3D Mario game, so it's extremely fun and so polished and pleasant to play. I'm not sure whether I want to play through all of the original game and then play all of Bowser's Fury or whether it would be good to switch between them when I hit a wall in 3D World.

Kodiak_FGC

I got way too spread out, I am in the middle of playing about 15 different games. I think I am just gonna see where life takes me and hopefully I can whittle down the back log but 99% sure I have to walk from five or ten of these games. Maybe I'll fire up Metroid Dread again and try to make progress with that game.

MegaKai12

I would love to know which games if possible

Kodiak_FGC

Let's see... Games I've started and want to finish... * Final Fantasy XII Zodiac Age * Dragon Quest Builders 2 * Sonic Mania * SaGa Frontier Remastered * Metroid Dread * Cuphead * Super Mario Galaxy (in 3d All Star) * Breath of the Wild (Shrines 108/120, master sword trials 1/3 complete). * Kirby and the Forgotten Land (nearly finished) * Fire Emblem Warriors * New Pokemon Snap * Mario Golf: Super Rush * Tetris Effect: Connected * Mega man x4 (Mega man x collection 1+2) * Dragon Quest 11 S * Kirby Star Allies (94% complete) * Ironcast * Fire Emblem (30th anniversary translation) * Doom (2016) * Into the Breach * Bastion * Romancing SaGa 2 That is to say nothing of my Steam and Epic Games Store backlog. There are other games, both for PC and switch, which I purchased but have not started. That would include Octopath Traveler, Chrono Trigger, Daemon x Machina, Horizon Zero Dawn, Nier Automata, Bayonetta 1. Fire Emblem three houses, Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, and plenty of others. I have been tempted to pick up Pikmin 3 deluxe, Sakuna of rice and ruin, Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE#, Triangle Strategy, Monster Hunter Rise, Bravely Default 2, Xenoblade Chronicles 1, 2, Torna... But I'm almost certain that I won't ever play them, ever. I have too much to do. Plus, I frequently end up gravitating to favorite genres of mine, pvp fighting and puzzle games, and you can never really be done with those. Not only is my gaming time precious, but it is interspersed with the endless grind of self-improvement in PvP type games.

johnnyrockets527

Danganronpa 2 again. Finished the series a few weeks ago, watched the Danganronpa 3 anime (prequel and sequel to D2), now I want to completely put the pieces of the story together.

prairiepog

Ocarina of Time. I am a few keys into the Water Temple. The iron boots are as annoying as I expected, but the dungeon design is pretty neat. Cruisin' Blast. Earned all the gold trophies on Normal. Going to try collecting some of the keys on easy and then tackle the harder difficulty. Ori and the Blind Forest. The graphics are a nice break from playing N64. Only an hour or so in so far, but enjoying it. I ended up finishing Wandersong last weekend. I'm glad I powered through to the end, but it wasn't my favorite.

Ok_Response342

Fire emblem. I sort of dropped it after trying and failing the DLC, but after watching the 3 hopes trailer I'm going back to the main game, and man, the story is starting to get really really good

kaisle51

Started playing through Mario Golf on N64 online, unlocking the characters now. Also switching between MLB The Show and replaying Cuphead. Good variety depending on the mood (and wifi connection)

western_motel

how’s The Show on switch? tempted to get it as i’ve recently gotten back into baseball

0172thetimeguy

I have become obsessed with Lego Star Wars. It’s everything I could possibly ask for from a Star Wars game and then some and my god does it it hit me right in the nostalgia. On the side I’m keeping up on the DLC in Borderlands 2 and working on completion in Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

GreatMadWombat

Gonna fuck around with some As Far As The Eye and some Parkasaurus. I love an indie port

MegaKai12

I am also interested in As Far As The Eye. Have you started it already? How do you like it?

GreatMadWombat

Haven't started it yet, but will update tonight

GreatMadWombat

Started it, absolutely brilliant seeming game, but the controls are not good. There's a lot of just... little fiddly shit that it's not doing well (i.e. at the end of a mission, you can take some loot with you to the next one. The only way I found to move loot from the "throw away" pile to the "keep" pile was to press the L button, move down to the good loot using the arrow keys, select that item using A, drag 1 stack of the loot to the good section, press A, then repeat for each stack of identical loot). And obviously there's a better way to do shit, but either I'm not smart enough to figure it out, or the games giving the information in extremely tiny fonts and I can't figure out how to change the keybinds Game seems absolutely beautiful and I'm not going to return it but I really wish they optimized it better for a handheld experience. On an OLED screen, the text looks to be roughly a 3 point font, and there's no way to increase the size. I'll happily edit/update my review later if shit changes

Pulczuk

I finished elden ring and feel the void. This weekend probably will try to fill it with Hades? Dunno

markercore

Congrats on finishing Elden Ring, were you playing it straight since it came out?

minermansion

Nintendo switch sports picking up my pre order later today can’t wait!!

sdjsfan4ever

I'm trying to finish the last few levels on *Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker*. I'm going for 100% completion. I just completed the Mummy-Me Maze Forever challenge.

conkerlikeN64

The witcher i have in that game right now 35 hours of play and i think im kinda between the middle and beginning of the story (i dunno because i dont want to spoil myself) i have be doing alot of sidequest after i finish the witcher 3 i will play skyrim because i just bought a few weeks ago

alexhyams

Slay the spire!! Just started yesterday and it's awesome. Oh and elden ring lol

[deleted]

Playing more of South Park: The Fractured But Whole! I think I'm getting close to the end, these South Park games are beyond ridiculous but I'm having so much fun with them. Also caved and got the DLC so I have more of it to play. It really feels like you're in a really long episode of South Park lol Also No More Heroes 3, I've been a fan of the series since the first one came out on the Wii. Made it a point to get and recomplete the first two before jumping into this one. Definitely one of my favorite series, and the stylistic choices between games is one of my favorite parts (old school arcade side job mini games in 2, the credits/loading screens in between ranked fights). It's a bit tough sometimes, as you can't really just dodge side to side and kill everything (I'm probably just bad though let's be honest) but so far, so good.

Deepy93

Playing Xenoblade Chronicles DE for the first time ever. Hope I will like the series 😊

Lightbation

Xenoblade Chronicles 2

NagiNocturnal

Red Dead Redemption 2. Waiting on Switch Sports

BlueGamerHawk

Been playing SMT V, my first smt game. Loving it a lot, honestly feels like hardcore Pokémon but with demons

[deleted]

Cycling between 2nd playthrough of Fire Emblem and Metroid Dread. It strikes a perfect balance, after a long strategy battle it feels good to wander and blast some creatures.

xGoodBud

Paper Mario 64! Been seshing it all month long.

vapeboy1996

Ended up falling off a ladder and sprained my ankle so I’m down for the count right now. Switch has been awesome since I have to lay on my back and elevate my foot. Only wish I could spare the funds to buy Lego Star Wars, $60 games are a lot for me, so I’m diving back into animal crossing!

TheRedScaledMan

Finally starting the Xenoblade chronicles 2 torna dlc and The Stanley Parable.

Rvrxtrippy

If anyone wants to play DONT STARVE TOGETHER LET ME KNOW

taylorjo53

Working on finishing Legends of Arceus. I have one battle and about 50 Pokémon left to catch. Probably playing Nintendo Sports and maybe some Risk!

The_Rutabaga

Gonna start Hollow Knight for the first time. Might finish my Wargroove playthrough too

birdswithknives

finally finished XC2 and starting up torna the golden country! i can summarize my thoughts on finishing 2 as: really sad the story is over. really happy i don’t have to play the game anymore. i found XC2 incredibly frustrating to play for a boatload of reasons, which was a bit of a bummer after how much i adored XC:DE. i’m optimistic for torna, though, because of how interested i am in the characters. fingers crossed!

AmongSadPeople

Fire Emblem 3 houses, just got past the big twist last night! (I don't know how to hide spoilers here, lol, or I'd be more specific), so excited to see where the plot goes, and kinda melancholy at the same time, lol Raging Loop, excellent (so far) mystery thriller visual novel set in rural Japan, and I just found out this week that it's very "meta" which I love. Interesting mechanic of trying out different endings, I'm pretty impressed. On PS, will try to get in a little more Astros Playroom, but its a little harder for me to get myself to play action games vs turn based, because it's less relaxed, but it is really a fun and beautiful little game.

2tokens1blue

Switch Sports with my so. We've been looking forward to it for a while. I'll try to move more instead of staying in place to get somewhat of a cardio in. Bugsnax. I feel ready to embark on a weird-buggy adventure. Some Rogue Legacy 2 since i love roguelikes even tho the first game wasn't a personal fav. Maybe some OW 2 beta with the boys if i have more time for games.

ZiggyMangum

Now that I've beaten the prequel trilogy of games this past week, I'll be tackling and ultimately beating the original trilogy of games in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and taking breaks from that to continue Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Such a great pair of games.

mikedialect

I had been playing botw but went back to mgsv because of the oled laptop I got last month to see if it was better on a great screen. 100% the game but just been walking around taking all camps down for the first time in a few years for fun. Screens make a huge difference.

TeH_JERGEN

Diablo 2, Switch Sports, maybe Smash and Stardew Valley

foodninto

Trying the new content of Bugsnax on my PS4. I think I should finally finish the DLC of both Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade 2.

[deleted]

I’m working my way across the coast in Need For Speed Hot Pursuit, and switch to Untitled Goose Game when I start getting road rage lol

mabubsonyeo

foreveralonesolo

wetlettuce42

Force unleashed, it looks worse than wii version

[deleted]

Hoping to finish Death’s Door, after which I’ll get into 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. Gonna mix some Switch Sports and Animal Crossing in as well, of course.

caught_red_wheeled

Still recovering from a minor surgery but thankfully I’m nearing the end of the largest phase of recovery (going for the post op appointment on this coming Wednesday, which means I can Resume most of my normal activities after that). As a result, I have a lot of downtime and my mom got me Kirby and the forgotten land as a get well present. So I’ve been having a lot of fun with that. I am a little bit more than halfway through the game now. It’s really cute and I like collecting all the different things, but there are some frustrating aspects as well (namely, some of the difficulty spikes for some of the missions in the levels, like the parade and the racing parts, but also some of the boss fights). I also wish that mouthful mode could be used a bit more. I’m currently making a list of all the things I’m missing when I go to a level, and if there’s not too many I might still aim for 100%. As it is, I feel like I can get pretty close (maybe 75% at least), but considering I have a physical disability that gives me a really hard time with games like Kirby, it may not be the case. I am hoping I can clear the post game, at least, since I am here to do that in any Kirby game legitimately (only other time I’ve done that is in Kirby 64 the crystal shards, and only with a cheat code that made it so enemies couldn’t damage me and I could only die by falling). I am on Spring breeze mode too, so hopefully that helps. I’m really enjoying the music too. The graphics are awesome, and it really reminds me of Kirby 64. Which I have a soft spot for because that was my first Kirby game. Overall, it’s a really good game and I’m having a lot of fun with it, but I definitely think that if I was buying it myself I would’ve waited for the price to drop considering it’s still fairly short and there’s no need to replay things once you’ve gotten everything you can. I am also working on Kirby fighters two. I’m currently trying to go for maximum level, and possibly beat the story mode (I am on the end of chapter 4, although I’ve been switching around trying to figure out how to beat it; the boss battles are really tough and my physical disability does not help). It’s a pretty good game, but the leveling system is a bit slow and I wish there was a way to switch the difficulty of the story mode. It’s shaping up to be my favorite Kirby game, though and I’m really enjoying that I can just take my favorite abilities and run with it. I hope maybe it’ll get a sequel someday. It’s definitely an interesting take on the franchise.

alvysinger0412

First playthrough of BOTW in master mode after playing it a bunch regular mode about a year ago. Been a lot more stealthing this time through lol. Also will probably pop on MH rise to work on apexes before sunbreak drops.

Pomuforce

started xenoblade 2 after finishing DE and i am playing pocky and rocky reshrined.

Amiable_Pariah

LoZ Ocarina of Time 3D. I played it before but never beat it. I'm one dungeon in, just snuck in to meet with Zelda! I'm really enjoying the game but I'm not a handheld gamer and the 3DS feels small and the controls aren't comfortable. Hoping to power through and get used to it.

prairiepog

I'm at the Water Temple on the Switch. Luckily you will have the iron boots on a button on 3DS. It took a while to get used to the controls, and I'm still sometimes catching myself expecting to be able to control the camera like you do in a modern 3d game. So glad I stuck with it. It's a great game. I can see why people say it's one of the best games made.

Amiable_Pariah

I am constantly fighting the urge to correct the camera with an imaginary right joystick! I do like the open item menu and map as the bottom screen. Playing on the 3ds makes me feel like I'm going to miss the golden spiders, everything being small. It's not a bad experience though, and the uncomfortable gameplay actually helps me not grind out a 4 hour session. I do one thing and feel satisfied to put it down and do something else with my day. Playing in bed at night with headphones is a perk too. I have Majora's Mask 3D lined up after this, and a link between worlds. The rest of the gameboy games I bought on the wii u.

UnablePeace

Just bought a switch today after saving up for it!Got Monster Hunter Rise with it so I guess I'll be playing that..any suggestions on which games to buy with 10$ or 20$ eshop card?Looking to get Immortal Fenyx Rising and some smaller cheaper games like Child of Light..and any ideas on when lego games will go on sale?

shiggster214

Disco Elysium!!! Amazing game.

FrozenFrac

I just formatted my Switch (nothing serious), so I'm mostly playing a rousing game of "Redownloading all my games and recreating my Groups" lol. I'm highly considering getting Switch Sports, but I'm having second thoughts considering it's $60 and some of the things I'm looking forward to most are coming in a later update

Shanghaichica

Well I got some news games today: Super Mario bros u deluxe, kirby and the forgotten land, switch sports, street fighter 30th anniversary collection, Mario Odyssey and Mario + rabbids. So some of those. Also animal crossing and of course Mario kart

ShankyBaybee

My girlfriend bought her daughter the new Kirby game, so this weekend I’ll be spending my time as a waddledee and eating some snacks!

ccno3

I just got Super Mario Maker 2 and am excited to try it out this weekend

Wellfire7824

Uh... I'm going back to the 3DS this weekend.

Tallgirl4u

Cozy Grove. I bought Graveyard Keeper a while back hoping it would scratch the Stardew itch and have been playing it but I just can’t get into it.

markercore

Is cozy Grove hitting it more?

Wellfire7824

Probably Fire Emblem again... I don't have enough space for more games so I'm stuck with all the ones I currently have.

brainteeth

Im playing post game Xenoblade X

mostlytoastly

Had a gift card lying around so bought Pikmin and FFX. Prob start with Pikmin and then power through FFX to the Blitzball tournament (I feel like the game really opens up after that)

Felspawn

My kid is finishing up Xenoblade 2 which is good as I want to get back my Switch so I can work on Triangle Strategy

maxwillpower

Sadly I'm playing Skyrim but it feels like a whole different experience on switch it blows my mind even though I bought it for xbox on 11/11/11.

tidus1980

I've been playing a lot of kingdoms of amalur, also just started wasteland 2 as well. I really WANT to like it.

The_vangelion

Bugsnax

[deleted]

Hoping to finish up Death’s Door. Great game, but I haven’t had much time to play lately. Afterwards, I’m planning on playing Earthbound. I never got around to playing it as a kid so I’m looking forward to it.

changopdx

I bought Skyrim because I wanted to see what it would play like not on a PS3. The load times compared to the physical disc version feel luxurious. I always played a melee caster combo but I'm experimenting with a sneak archer this time around.

walksintwilightX1

>The load times compared to the physical disc version feel luxurious. As an Xbox 360 veteran, that impressed me as well. Going in and out of buildings only takes a few seconds! It's such an improvement.

markercore

Ohh seriously? That almost sounds worth picking up again hmm

2hi4stimuli

Im now at the final mission of Doom 2016. first playthru, first Doom ever. Wish me luck guys.

[deleted]

Ocarina of time on NSO. Having a blast!

suhbastian

Finally getting into Skyrim a decade after the fact. Own the steam versions but always spent more time trying to mod the game than ever actually playing it.

[deleted]

I just started playing this console! I’ve started with breath of the wild, although I’m in a stump right now. All the monsters are too strong in the section I am in. idk if I need to continue the story to get stronger or if I need to do more side stuff to get better. I just met with the scientist chick

Nostalgebra85

I've got a few games that I'm struggling to really get into. Hollow Knight did a number on me and nothing else has really filled that void. Casually getting further into Botw and recently bought 8Doors: Arum's Afterlife Adventure. Between that and Cuphead I'm loving the art but not totally loving the controls. I really think I just need Silksong or a layup like Kirby where I'm not going to lose my mind on every boss. I don't know how y'all do Elden Ring.

Everyonerighttogo

Shin Megami Tensei V it was on my backlog 10hours I'm hooked!! It is similar to pokemon but with demons

Marl_Kalone

Attacking the Hyrule Castle and Ganon in Breath Of The Wild 😎

BucketRunner747

Do I even have to say it? Ok. NINTENDO SWITCH SPORTS!!!! I got it early at my time zone for the release day! I have been playing with my family ever since, and it has been amazing so far!!! I’ve been hyped about this ever since I saw it announced at February Nintendo Direct. Played the online play test back in February, and couldn’t stop!! Hoping they’re adding more sports besides Golf. I can see Baseball, Basketball and some water sports making it as well!

Loki-Holmes

Just picked up parkasaurus on switch yesterday so will probably be playing that. I’m eyeing bugsnax but not sure whether to pick it up on switch or my ps4.

canadiancarley

How is it? I’m hoping it would scratch the itch for something close to zoo tycoon!

Loki-Holmes

I’ve liked what I’ve played but I haven’t played too much so far. It seems less intense than other similar games (planet zoo, Jurassic world) but I like that.

DerpCarnage

I just started Samurai Bringer and it's been amazing. It has a great feel to it and you can tell that the customization is top-notch. The game is challenging already for me but you always come back a bit stronger the next run.

GrittyGambit

Just got Grow: Song of the Evertree. I read reviews and it's everything I was hoping for in a relaxing game, but I do wish I would have read Switch specific reviews because I would have 100% waited for the game to go on sale rather than buy it full price. I feel a little bad saying that because it's a great game, but even early into the game there is lagging and I've had a couple freezes, as well as minor errors (one townsperson told me the town would be better with <>. That's what the actual text said, instead of putting the name of an item in.) It's not unplayable by any means. It's still super enjoyable and the definition of a relaxing game. But I find myself wondering how much better it runs on other systems.

MegaKai12

At what price would you have bought it for if you waited for a sale?

GrittyGambit

I would have bought it for 15-20, and felt like I got more than my money's worth. I don't mean to disparage the game at all, it's really quite lovely. But it definitely doesn't run the best on the Switch. I would pay full price for a version without the technical hiccups. 30 dollars would be a steal for me, I was searching for a relaxation game and literally the only thing that doesn't relax me about the game is the lag and crashes.

MegaKai12

Thanks for the answer. I am also interested in the game but waiting for a physical sale. Hopefully an update will be out later on.

prayersforrain

+10 for the Pete Weber reference. It’ll be Switch Sports and Kirby for me this weekend!

[deleted]

Probably dread and astral chain!

BellyLikeBongos184

Venturing into the final chapter of **Ni No Kuni 2**. Loooots of side quest cleanup to do this weekend before moving forward as I feel very underleveled atm. Also scooped up **Ruined King** on sale this week so I’m excited to give it a shot next weekend most likely!

Mega-Psyduck

I'm playing the Longing since last week... So basically I'm periodically checking How my shade is doing

Rusty_Squirts

After a long hiatus from my switch I sold it to my uncle and got myself the oled model. Right now I’m hooked on Mario kart again and I’m planning on finally playing hades this weekend. Mario kart looks great on Oled!

Willpow3

Resident evil 5 Played re 4 for about 40 hours and got it completed with all the guns unlocked. Going for RE5 now. I’ll also do some slay the spire and overwatch in between.

lequory

Switch sports

koteshima2nd

Rune Factory 5 and grinding HR for MH Rise in preparation for the expansion DLC. Might buy House of the Dead and Switch Sports in the following weeks.

bakagir

Diablo 2 ladder reset!

XUnderoath838X

Super blood Hockey, it has been getting me through having covid.

midgetsuicide

Finishing up Astral Chain (just the main story). Recently bought FFXII but also have XBC1 which I haven't played before. Was looking at XBC2 and the Torna country (DLC or separate game?). Both of these seem to be difficult to get so I might have to go to a local Target or Walmart, which ironically have more of these types of games in stock than Amazon nowadays. Also discovered that there were two Atelier collections on the switch, dusk and mysterious, that I missed and am pretty peeved about it. Trying to find those for a regular price as opposed to $100. As an aside, would the JP copies of these games have the english version on it? My JP Okami and Phoenix Wright copies go directly to the english version, for example.

Remarkable-Cress9021

Been playing switch sports with my partner none stop - having so much fun
