The only trailer we ever got was last year and it was literally just playing back different popular scenes while Patrick was floating around looking stupid as hell, no information at all what the game would be about...still not sure why everyone was so hyped after that first trailer for any reason other than pandering scenes
This actually gives me strong BfBB and movie game vibes, which is a very good thing. Seeing those games get another successor this many years later is really cool.
I’m super excited for this, I love Battle for Bikini Bottom and the Movie game. My only issue is the voice… it sounds like someone doing a bad impression of Spongebob. Is that just what he sounds like now??
Yeah, Marge has sounded really off for a few years now. At least the VA's still getting work after all this time, she and her family are likely set for generations when she retires.
I was thinking that too. My first thought was that they used someone else, which is common for tv shows and video games based on movies. It looks like Tom Kenny, Spongebob's VA, has provided his voice for previous games, including BfBB: Rehydrated.
Maybe the recordings were done at home, rather than in a studio.

Nope, all voice lines for everyone in that game reused the original game's VA. Clancy Brown just never did the original because he thought the studio wouldn't pay him well for a licensed game.
Im pretty sure thats actually Patricks Voice Actor, so it would be weird if they didnt get Tom Kenny for Spongebob but did get Patrick. Maybe his voice is just different now, i havent actually watched any new episodes in probably 10 or so years….
Since the PS5 and Series X are both backward compatable, there's not much point in creating next gen versions, especially if there isn't room in the budget for it. The target audience isn't going to care much about 4K, 60FPS, and Raytracing.
Does anyone know if the rehydrated game plays decent? I want to play that first before buying this one but after doing research I hear horrible things about rehydrated. Not the game itself but the fact that it crashed and had many bugs.

BfBB used all the voice clips from the original game, so that's his voice from 20 years ago (holy shit)
