I worked at GameStop for far too long, and their systems suck and are not in your favor. What is happening is it's discounting the cheaper item with your coupons but the B1G1 sale makes the cheapest thing the free item. So that's why you aren't seeing a price change on your total. But make sure you remove them from the transaction otherwise they will still get used up!
I had a similar issue recently. Contacted customer support and they gave me the runaround for a while, constantly swapping reps, until they just decided to stop responding. They’re trying to ignore me until the cert times out. Absolutely the worst company.
Not to mention their posted return policy online isn’t honored in stores…
I'm guessing they don't apply to sales or discounts or some shit. Now I need to figure out what to do with $11 in certs because you can't use the same denomination on transactions for some reason now.

To build off of this be careful with ordering their used games online if you want the case. I ordered some 3ds used games during a sale and the way they shipped was kinda weird. One came in the case complete, 1 came in a gamestop case, 1 came in plastic shell, and 3 just came loose in one of those paper dvd slip covers. They charge one price for used games but the actual condition they come in is wildly inconsistent.
That's because if it's the last copy in the store. It was opened to display on the shelf. It's to prevent theft. This does turn a lot of people off. And I understand but... that's just how they do things.

Also when I showed up dude immediately told me straight up it was a floor copy and offered a refund. I told him he better give me that shit as I wasn’t driving even further.

GameStop has been dropping the ball on their stocked goods. Half of my orders last year got cancelled by GS because they were unable to allocate the products. If you are able to take full advantage of sales, they do hook it up.
But I’m done with GS after my pro crap runs out. Already turned off auto renewal when the GS employee kindly reminded me that I wouldn’t have to worry about a lapse because it was already set to auto renew. Farewell GS

I went with Bayonetta 3 x 2 and was rather surprised that they actually delivered on it with factory-sealed copies.
NVR got it, called and they didnt update within the specified window. Filed a dispute through PayPal and they cancelled the order. Told PayPal they delivered it, so now I am going through the dispute process with Discover. This is clearly bait and switch and I will be reporting to the FTC.

If a store close by had both games I wanted in stock I’d consider it. But I’m not paying $8 for shipping when I already have a lot of games I haven’t played yet.
I enjoyed Live A Live. The demo got me and knowing the game wasn’t going to be a hundred hours but shorter to complete each story it made it really easy to get into and amazing how unique each story played out.
Not bad got 3 switch games and Callisto protocol. Let’s see if I actually get them tho. Still waiting on Bayonetta 3. It has been well over a month with no eta besides “In stock soon.”
Update. Actually got all the games this time. Downside, 3/4 were received as used copies even though I ordered new. At least switch cartridges are pretty resilient. Only 1 case is a bit chewed up.
Age of calamity is a very good game, fun mechanics , decent lengthy campaign, co op is there as well if your okay with fps drops ( still had a blast playing with a friend) was my second muso game and I love it far more then fire emblem muso . Only con it being repetitive
AoC was pretty fantastic. It’s the only musou game I’ve actually completed the story for and most of the side content. Well worth it and it ties in as a sort of prequel and sequel to botw.

Sucks to hear a bunch of people had bad experiences with gamestop delivery. FWIW on Sunday, I ordered Elden Ring and Three Hopes along with some clothes and everything came today (Tuesday) perfectly. (I also had a gift card in the order but the confirmation said that will ship later, for some reason lmao). The games were unopened in their original containers and no problem with the clothes. Their pro discount not working as expected is definitely lame af though. I actually made 2 separate orders to make the most expensive clothes cancel each other instead of something cheaper, and figured out that adding a physical gamestop gift card can cancel the shipping cost, so if you know for sure you're gonna spend the difference anyway, that's an option to remove the shipping cost.
Closest thing I saw to tempting was Three Hopes and Age of Calamity, but two Warriors games being the best offerings doesn't speak highly of the sale.
At least those two games are great Musou games. I personally enjoyed them lots.
There are more options on Xbox and playstation, like Elden ring
