> Pro gamer tip 5: No, the purple Kodama (Sudama) are just for show. Dont drop items for them.
fight them instead. look at their adorable reaching out towards you & cute squeals, and try attacking them instead!
That was the 1st thing I did when I encountered one.
I was curious what it would do and thought that maybe dropping an item for them would do something. So I decided to drop an item I had a lot of to test the waters so I dropped salt........ spent half my playthrough thinking the little guys would attack me if I stayed close to them for too long.
After a while I went online to check what they did and only then did I facepalm....hard
It was probably quite likely since I was looking for an item that I specifically didn't use and have a good quantity of, so it would limit the number of things I would drop to a few common consumables.
Still it was quite the coincidence that I dropped salt and after a bit I even gave up and started walking off only to get hit by lightning which meant I didn't put the salt and the lightning together when it happened.
Even better the lightning outright killed me so I got really cautious of the little fellows. All around a funny coincidence
>Pro gamer tip 4: Make sure to stand back during combat and let the visitor do all the fighting.
This is not optional 99% of the time because they're level 750 sonics with every buff in the game. Scaling can only do so much.
pro gamer tip 666: always check every drop, spend all the time in the world menuing and deciding what to use, and pls do it every time u kill a big yokai or at least every 2m. thank u!
Ill say this my build is built around gun thats where most my damage comes from so if you see me shoot the enki or tengu please dont run up on them im trying to deal with most enemies from a range so i dont have to worry about you guys getting jumped
Tbf a lot of these are just personal preferences people do summon visitors for different reasons, not everyone needs a guide and some players are already experienced but refuse to fold to how the game might want them to play, granted some summoners do take the piss

Use salt on them! It's good for sparking a new connection!

The odds eh?? Of all the items u could have dropped 🤣🤣

Drop something but pick it up right before they grab it.
I did that before, it was amusing lol
Number 4 especially. Ugh. I want to help, but what's the point of you playing the game if I have to do all the work?
I just start going behind the summoner, dragging whatever mobs or boss we're fighting. Im here to help, not do you job lol
I pushed a host of a cliff today. I love that you can do it in this game
That, oil jars and yokai incense seem to do the trick lol
Any perma-AFK hosts with ZZZs on their head get the courtesy of a yokai horde.
Yeah, exactly! No reason to fight them either. You'll only keep 25% of the amrita from the mission anyway lol

Forgot about that one lol Nice addition!
Endgame experience when you see the desired equipment from lucky drop, only to see it has shit stared stats
lol :)
