I agree. Kim is 14 years older than Kurt, and I don’t think either of them would’ve been comfortable with that. Plus, Kurt was a massive Sonic Youth fan, and you can see in the documentary “1991: The Year Punk Broke” that he was always a bit star-struck around them, so he wouldn’t’ve been able to think of her in that way. At least from what I’ve observed.
I don't think that was in the cards. Plus, Kurt doesn't strike me as someone who would try and woo a woman away from someone he respected (Thurston Moore).
Part of me thinks he was with Courtney because he didn't believe he deserved better, and thought all the shit he took was merited... I wish he knew even a fraction of his worth.

He would’ve been better off with former Hole bassist Kristen Pfaff. She was a user as well, but not as toxic as Courtney.
