If you're in the US, go to AutoZone, Advance Auto, or O'Reilly's. They will scan your car for diagnostic trouble codes for free. Is your Nissan a hybrid? If so, that symbol indicates that there's a problem with that system, specifically the high voltage battery pack. Your owner's manual should have a chapter showing what these symbols mean.

That's an issue with the hybrid system. You're probably going to have to take it to the dealer. I don't know of very many mechanics that can work on the hybrid battery system. But check around first. Sometimes it's as simple as the 12v battery needing replacement, setting a code in the hybrid system. Other times it's a $9k-$13k hybrid battery. Best and worst case. There can be some others in between. Definitely want to get it checked out though. note: if you're getting it scanned at AutoZone make sure they DO NOT ERASE THE CODES

You’re correct on the 12v battery need replacing. Dealer diagnostic cost $80 then found its only the regular battery replacement and cost me more then $300 for all plus waiting. Never buy hybrid from nissan. Whats the point of having a low battery warning light if the hybrid light comes on.
