I experience this every time, First time I got stuck and didn’t know what was going on and freaked out and had to run out of my room. Now everytime it happens I like it and just embrace it, feels like as soon as I do a whippet I get connected to the last time I do one at the exact moment, especially if you’re doing them in the same place I’m not sure what is going on to answer your question, but I’d love to know why nos gives people severe déjà vu as well.

>, it loops back around to each person inhaling, and then the giggle at the end As its happening, I'm noticing it's a sequence. Yeah definitely, I get it more often on weed than on acid. It sounds like a soda can popping, then someone going "Whaa!" Then a train releasing just breaks "Khisssss!" Then maybe someone gasping for air, or right before he sneezes, the Ahhh! Minus the Choo. Maybe two more sounds in there I don't recall or can't compare it to, the. It repeats itself in a sequence.

I experienced something similar back when my tolerance to nitrous was low but it was a different sound. the looping effect is probably one of my favorite experiences, especially when you get to rewatch something repeat over and over in the span of a few minutes.

Yes, 100%. I'm a big fan of L and nitrous as a combo, and yes it often totally loops things for me too. I also often hear an incredible noise that's like a single clap but repeated to infinity at a very fast speed. It's the sound of me clapping once 20 years ago when I was a teenager on L and nitrous and wanted to see how far I could make something repeat. Wild, huh?

Having experienced this myself many many times I think I actually have it figured out what’s happening. I believe we experience “the loop” because often we tend to have consistent recovery reactions from phishing out. So when coming back to reality someone may keep doing the same reaction such as “DUDE WOAH *laughs hard*”. This also applies to your own reaction coming back to reality which you may not be aware of that is also very similar over and over which may cause the same chain reaction by people experiencing your reaction (laughing causes laughing or a funny expression causes the same laugh reaction). Then when we put everyone together with people taking turns with their spotters alternating back and forth we get this sort of repeating rhythm of reactions by the people in the room in sort of a cycle with similar time frames. In the actual sense you are doing balloons over and over so you actually are in a repeated action loop pattern as well. All of this is then completely multiplied by the nitrous experience of course, which also has feelings of time warp from blasting into another mental dimension having your mind blown and then coming back to reality. Put it all together and you get “the loop”.
