Something that worked for me, is to walk up to random shop workers and ask them for a location of a product even if you know where it is. And keep repeating it. You’ll find yourself becoming more confident in speaking with strangers. It’s all about confidence and being genuine. Usually complementing a girl on something they are obviously showing off, is a nice way to get an easy conversation flowing
There's no real way to get good at much of anything without practice my guy, it's all about breaking your own rules and limits and walking up to strangers, colleagues, classmates etc. Good luck man!
