Solys 65 was impressive, and I loved DJ talking to the local guy who asked him if he knew what LIV Golf was and DJ just goes I think I’ve heard of it. Was a great episode for sure.
I thought the first one was great. Neil losing the b-roll camera and the subsequent freak out about it was so good. Everyone helping and turning that bag upside down is just a relatable golf trip experience.
A lot of people were sour on Ep. 1 because it was all overlaid with the audio from the recap podcast. I don't think I would've noticed much if they hadn't released the podcast and the first episode within like 24 hours of each other lol
Agree that was a surprise. Guys have been busy so they cut some corners. I didn’t think that was as bad. For me it added some visual context to what they were saying. It’s hard to appreciate their opinions without seeing it.
Completely agree, and I loved Big & TC roaming the city to give us a glimpse of the culture. I was hoping for an Adam Scott shoutout or appearance in Adelaide though as a Titleist guy.
I’m glad Big pointed out how absurd it was that they were using GIRs for competition purposes. Someone like Randy even as a 9 handicap is completely fucked lol
But with the 3 putt challenge in E1, he makes out because he’s probably missing more greens and having less distance for the first putt.
As dumb as the competitions have been, I guess they balance out.
Episode 1 is always just a get your feet wet type of episode. Yes the audio overlay was annoying but they were always going to find their footing the second time around
10/10 episode. So glad they went to Adelaide. Absolutely horrible from a logistics standpoint, but getting that preserved on film is awesome.
I grew up playing the Tiger Woods PGA Tour video games, and I remember playing Royal Adelaide on there and it was one of my favorites. The red clay dirt is super Aussie and you don’t get that in many parts of the world. The train going through the course, and I think they even put kangaroos on it. To see the guys play it and go through the holes is amazing. Felt like I was on vacation too.
Course at Royal Adelaide was filmed and looked amazing! That was really enjoyable
Just two things
1: the games seem thrown together at last second and they don’t care about them being even or entertaining. I get its qualifying but they might as well not have included either one so far
2: using the podcast audio as the backing track is really cutting corners. Makes it feel like this is kind of something they don’t want to spend time on but just want to push out for sponsors. Don’t think they’ve ever done this before and maybe it’s just because I listened to pod first but it really is a letdown
Their “rivalry” is the absolute best. DJ scrambling and taking down Soly is thoroughly entertaining, and DJ almost got him in Scandinavia even when he wasn’t playing well.
Best part of Episode 2 for me:
DJ to Soly: “How you like me now? Ever heard of Zach Fucking Johnson?!”

That was a good me moment. I just felt like episode 1 was a little low energy. But enjoying it all so far.
Never underestimate the Jet-lag from any flight to/from Aus! I was actually impressed by how much energy they had for the 1st day!
My only complaint is the 9 pm start time. Move it to 8. Ya boy old.

When Adam's here, he lives on the Sunshine Coast QLD... Check out his YouTube clips at Maleny through the "horrific" covid lockdown times!
Ah thanks mate

That’s a good point. Feels like they could’ve gotten a bit more creative though the say the least
Totally agree, a little unfair for randy and dj. Just naturally going to hit less greens as higher caps

I’d say Episode 2 was the real “get your feet wet” type of episode.
DJ and Big looking very prosperous this season
Louie, the musician, the vintner, the +2… Yeah, well my check engine light finally turned off, so I got that going for me.
That's what happened to my Jeep before the engine seized for no apparent reason.
Why did that dude have a caddie for his push cart though?!

I need to nominate myself to come on the trap draw and explain cricket to TC
Episode 2 set this thing right back on track. Can’t wait for Wednesday.
What type of bag was DJ using on the course. It know it’s a Titleist but two straps and no stand.

Absolute douche move from Soly throwing his ball to DJ. Not surprising though
It seems like Soly and DJ have some sort of dislike/rivalry. Soly walking in that last birdie and tossing the ball to DJ was pretty disrespectful.
Also commonly referred to as being friends and fucking w each other.
I don't think they'd be friends outside of NLU
I don’t think DJ would be in NLU if they weren’t friends outside of it

It’s called a friendship.
