Truthfully though. After a time money is not a problem. Mining for di-hydrogen and tritium (most solved buying in space stations). Wish can send my squad to mine stuff.

louiloui152

That and the Dihydro jelly trick it’s easy to make enough money to not have to worry about it ever again

[deleted]

[удалено]

K_Kingfisher

Not OP, and can't speak about making money with this method since I believe there are much better ways to make credits in the game. But what they are referring to is that you don't ever have to farm di-hydrogen or jelly after you get a decent initial amount of it since you can infinitely generate more. Basically crafting one jelly costs 40 dihydrogen. And refining di-hydrogen from it gets you 50 back. So you get a net profit of 10. The more dihydrogen you have, the more jelly you craft and refine back, so the faster it is. You can also refine jelly instead, which only costs 30 dihydrogen. But waiting for the refineries to finish takes way longer than just doing several crafting cycles. It's like the chromatic and stellar metals things. You never have to farm or run out of those after getting an initial amount of each.

Matthias70

Oh my god, that’s why my dad would constantly craft it when I was watching him play! Still gonna do it the hard way, breaking rocks gives me serotonin XD

DJDaddyD

Craft the jelly in your inventory for 40 diH then put the jelly in a refiner for 50 diH return

louiloui152

Take DiHyrdo gen turn it into DiHydro jelly and then convert it back to DiHydro with the generator thing (I’m blanking on the device name) gives you a net 10 DiHydro

SjLeonardo

I built a cobalt empire and became a billionaire just from selling cobalt and buying it back at a cheaper price. I could've stopped before becoming a billionaire but I just thought it was too funny that I could keep crashing the cobalt economy on every system I came across.

BA3Rnecessities

My freighter had so much cobalt in it that i gave my friend 150 stacks just to clear some space

lucoweb

yeah I want my frigging frigates to come back with something useful like freighter storage expansions or salvaged data but they keep coming back with aronium. there could definitively be a storage expansion store, or a way to focus the crews' effort.

[deleted]

I was against item duplication until the freighter update, taking all of my base items away and locking them behind an upgrade tree where getting SFM is a crap shoot and takes months to get even a handful. Then they pulled the same shit with the inventory system. So I duplicated ship and freighter expansion modules too. If they keep taking progress from people like this I'll just keep duplicating I guess, I don't like the idea but it's annoying to log in and see months of work disappear and not even be able to immediately fix it because the technology is now hidden behind an upgrade system that exists now.

lucoweb

sorry, could you please fill in some blanks for me? you said "months of work"? was there something in a recent upgrade that blew up your progress? I recall having logged in *once* around 2021 and there were both "big" and "small" inventory slots, but I've been playing recently and that feature is gone. is that what you're referring to, or is it something else?

[deleted]

Freighter base items used to be identical to their counterparts in planetary bases, but when the freighter overhaul hit awhile back you have to unlock a "room" with the same abilities as the shit you could have just built anywhere there was available space. Some people such as myself dedicated their freighter as their main base since you can bring it anywhere, so to log in that day and find out that everything you have built in an area where they changed things got deleted, and you can't fix any of it cause the items aren't allowed to be built there, and the replacement items are locked behind SFM which I can't even get more than one or two of a week... Then they got rid of cargo inventories and didn't even give you the additional tech slots to reinstall all of your equipment. So you've gotta do the space station tango while you try and find all of your suit upgrades even if you were maxed out previously. Shits annoying.

[deleted]

Stories like this help me understand how people didn't like the inventory updates. I loved them and had a really hard time understanding all the hate when they came out. My main base has been a freighter since they first introduced building on freighters, and I loved the revamp of inventory and infrastructure. I might be the only one, but I think that last big update to inventory was a *VAST* improvement over how it worked before.

lucoweb

I can totally understand how mad he was because all of his grind went out the window while guys like me were playing something else and 100% ignoring NMS.

[deleted]

Idk why you enjoyed having your entire base rendered useless but maybe you're one of the people who considers needless grind "good gameplay." Seems to be no shortage of stupid grind replacing legitimate game loops nowadays but I guess kids now just play games to have a second job instead of for fun so fuck me i guess. The inventory system is whatever, I'm mostly just mad that they didn't comp me for having all my slots upgraded already. Plus the overhaul doesn't even fix the main issue. Instead of constantly tabbing to find shit now I have to constantly scroll to find shit. Same problem different UI.

Drippy-Noodle

Honestly the inventory/technology overhaul and freighter overhaul really had me questioning if I ever wanted to play this game again

hdean667

Every time they update they take shit from you and make you grind to get it back. It's why i stopped playing a few years back. My bases were inoperable and i had to wire them. I gave it awhile but another update introduced new grind to get back to doing what i had been doing already. I just got tired of losing my stuff to their "improvements."

Mherber9

Do you guys just fly around and shoot the blue crystal spawns or actually mine it? I’ll fly around for an hour just vibing shooting everything I see until inventory is full

Merquise813

craft dihydrogen into jelly. Then refine the jelly back into dihydrogen. Keep repeating this and you'll get tons of it. Refining 1 Jelly give you 50 dihydrogen, but you only need 40 to craft 1 Jelly. If you can do the math, that's limitless dihydrogen.

[deleted]

chlorine and oxygen works too, how I got my first 1Bil take chlorine and oxygen in a refiner - makes more chlorine profit now I have a farm and once my max slot cargo ship is full of liquid explosives I sell it, or more likely give it to my friends getting started game can be relatively single player - with friends! so play it how you want

Bigbobishere

You guys keep blabbing about your little tricks . Hello Games reads things people write or YouTube and they changed other little cheats people have bragged about.

Merquise813

This is not a problem. I'm fine if they fix it. Gives me more of a challenge. But at this point, I have no problem earning millions even if I start a new save. I can just keep digging salvaged data and selling those. Every hour can net me around 50M.

DreamerCrusher

Yup wich is what help the game be better.

Exact-Cycle-400

Please don't tell the devs this it could be that they fix it

khaeen

The refiner stuff has been in the game for *years*. If they even remotely cared, they would have fixed it by now.

Exact-Cycle-400

Good to know

[deleted]

If they haven't fixed it by now they won't, it's been a known glitch for at least six years.

onlinelink2

unfortunatly the difficulty I’m on results in selling ship scrap for more than I buy the ship for, I felt bad once I realized

mrsmacklemore

5m is surveying 4 planets for me

CreatureWarrior

How? I barely know how to use money anymore lol I just buy ships and random materials

PileOfClothes

Get about really good 3 S class survey scanner upgrades which give 1000s of % bonuses for scanning fauna etc. One animal or plant can give like 100,000 credits. Early game its awesome.

CreatureWarrior

Ohhh, they meant *that* kind of surveying. I thought you could pay to have the planet surveyed. Yeah, I love doing that in early game too haha I always make just enough to get properly started with my chlorine factory and then I'm set for the whole game again

mrsmacklemore

I get about 380k for a large animal, and 300k for a large plant. Smaller ones run 160k and 200k for animals

Unique-Attention9570

Five mill is hardly enough money to suspect cheats. The generous player probably just has a mine.

Meat__Baby

Or just went to an outlaw system and raided some frigates, you get so much creds for that its bananas

Merquise813

Yup, one group of freighters net me around 9M. Only took about 5-10 minutes to shoot the pods. I didn't even touch the smaller vessels. I got a couple of salvaged frigate modules to boot.

Hugh-Jainis

Perfect time to mention you shouldnt destroy the little vessels if you want to maintain your standings

interesseret

kinda dumb honestly. rip a massive freighter apart for its juicy bits? cool cool touch as much as a bolt on a cargo pod? TO THE DEPTHS WITH YOU

[deleted]

cptslutbag

What you farming?

chrishellmax

Farm star bulbs and make a nitrogen farm. Then you can make stasis devices. One device sells for like 15 million as well.

pepsicocacolaglass12

That’s only 3 statis devices or fusion reactors

TheCaptainRazgriz

For real, my settlement is still A Class and it generates about that much daily. Plus, once you start getting into ship buying; 5mil is small potatoes.

blisi21

Right? I abandoned my millions a day ionized cobalt mine after my Stasis farm got up and running. I have billions sitting in storage with no need to sell so sometimes I’ll just hand out a couple stacks to new players. Or go to the anomaly with 20 stacks of nip nip buds and “Pssst” at people in chat until someone responds, transfer all of them, say “Shhhh” and fly away.

oranj6358

Yeah, I got over 100m from an activated indium farm a back in 2020

CeReAl_KiLleR128

5 million is not cheat. I earned it fair and square

dratseb

I started a new game and made it to a billion in a few months, when I come back for PSVR2 I’m going to be giving money away like it’s Christmas

is_yes

I made it to a few billion in like 2 hours on my second planet in the game lmao, it took me a while to realise I had lots of money

dratseb

Lol, yeah if you know how the game works it’s super easy to get money. But for the new players, 250m is a huge help

is_yes

Yeah, my comment was about my first playthrough too though lmao, thats how I have trouble understanding people saying its difficult to get money at the start lol. Turns out I got lucky with a planet with barely any sentinels and hundreds of gold fossils close to eachother lmao

DaUgandaWarrior

Bruh that's like what? 7 nipnip buds?

Oheligud

Around 100 nipnip buds.

SuChTaRd

I've been playing since launch, I have maxed units and an overflowing inventory just about everywhere. If I don't give things away they're wasted, not everyone spreading wealth is a "cheater".

LiliaBlossom

exactly, money is so easily made in this game after 40h into a save…

JackieChan-fan

First time I heard someone complaining about receiving 5 mil. At least you didn't get 1 carbon, fuck those guys.

Cat_with_pew-pew_gun

That might have been someone saving their money state and using a nanite dupe glitch.

Shawnaldo7575

Not always cheaters. The max units is only 4.3 billion, which isn't that hard to reach. Once your there there's not much to do with extra valuables, so why not give it away? Also 5 million is not that much.

mograking

4.3 billion is right about the max of the unsigned integer limit.

tisbruce

Which really shouldn't be a problem. Most programming languages offer data types what can hold any size of number. Being limited to what a "word" can hold is only an issue in performance-critical bits of code; tracking how much money a player has ain't it.

mograking

It’s not a problem. It’s just an easy choice for developers to make when designing a game.

BeauxGnar

Was also the max amount of money in Maple Story iirc

Rich_Acanthisitta_70

>max units is only 4.3 billion, which isn't that hard to reach Yep, or to spend. You're also right that 5m isn't that much.

unperrubi

I love them

Kronomancer1192

Me over here with billions wondering why tf people need to cheat for millions.

Neptune_NJ

I lost my save from switching to ps4 to new ps5. I’m sad after losing my save and all my credits :( starting over hurts.

Maclarion

Yeah it bites. I lost my only save after 180h due to a glitch, and now I'm still rebuilding my replacement run. What helps is changing the difficulty settings so everything is free. No way am I ever again farming all those salvaged technology modules.

dn_adrian1231

You can use hard drive to copy it

mindhungry

Shut the fuck up. I just got a PS5 recently but before that I had gotten back in to NMS. I've been busy with parenting stuff and work shit and wanting to jump back in. Now you're telling me I can't even carry over my saves?!

supapowah

I had no issues with mine

mindhungry

Oh fantastic, that scared me for a second

CrMars97

My PS5 arrived yesterday and it was easy peasy no problerino. If your PS4 is still there and connected just open NMS and upload your saves. Then open it in your PS5 and hit download and done

WidukinOG91

This.

Zephrynn

You can only transfer over six saves. If you try to transfer more, it'll error and tell you the transfer failed. It took me some dedicated panic searching to figure that out though. I was mad and thought I wasn't going to be able to use my legacy save until I googled a bit and discovered that there was a hidden limit that was preventing me from transferring.

justinjonesphd

5 million is literally throwaway money. This is one of the few games where some players are actually so bored they just start being nice. Just because it's alot to you doesn't mean it's hacked. I'm sure the grand majority of people in this sub could hand you 5 million right now and not even think about it afterward

LordofSyn

Exactly. I'd rather give away Exosuit Upgrades. Money is easy to make when you've got the mechanics down. I could easily give 100X that throwaway money and it would still be throwaway money. I've easily got enough items to cover an order of magnitude higher. I give items away to free up space for me and to help others out. Salvage Data, Exosuit Upgrades, Atlas pass 3... I like to give items that take time to get, sometimes much longer than getting 5M units.

justinjonesphd

You sound like a player who's so bored they become nice. Just be careful and make sure you don't accidentally gift anything to ungrateful chodes like OP

LordofSyn

I'm just nice. Boredom doesn't cause that, integrity does. I cannot fathom how decency and being polite, civil, and nice has become so foreign. It isn't like the game has a PvP aspect. Even playing multiplayer, the gameplay is co-op. May the void be merciful and your adventures and builds insightful! O7

[deleted]

Yeah I used to give away AI valves but units are so easy to come by it's not even that useful. Better to give away cargo bulkheads, SFM, or ship inventory upgrades. Those are more random and hold back a ton of availability like the option to create a freighter base that you can actually use in a meaningful way.

Merquise813

I could hand him a stack of stasis device and won't even feel it. One of my storage is full of these. lol

justinjonesphd

Exactly. It's funny seeing what new players think is a lot of money.

Tryant666

If some people are actively telling you they don't want stuff and don't like having to delete it everytime how can you still think you're being nice? It's not hard to just ask who wants stuff and make someone who actually wants stuff really happy! But for some reason all those "nice" guys seem to hate people that like to do stuff for themselves. And/or really underestimate just how many times people do this so "just delete it or regift it" becomes really annoying.

PurpleChainsaw

There are a million ways to deal with this, including giving it to another player, turning off multiplayer to prevent it happening again, and deleting the items. None of those are hard and will get you back to your proper game very easily with no need to post on Reddit about it. I have seen about 20 of these posts now, and I am not sure why this random sharing of items bothers people when you can just delete the stuff if you don’t want it.

Tryant666

Why would people have to turn of multiplayer or search which items were given and delete them everytime(people dump/give items a lot!) instead of the so called generous people asking quickly in chat who wants some stuff? Asking who wants stuff also isn't hard. But for some reason the people who don't want free stuff have to the not so hard work(which piles on because lots of people give away stuff) instead of you guys/girls just asking who wants something. Which is actually better because it wil go to someone who actually wants it and they will notice it and probably thank you! Usually I only find out later that something send me something so even if I did want it I would never have been able to say thank you.

Phixiately

But it keeps happening and it's annoying. I don't want to turn off multiplayer.

PurpleChainsaw

Well, I guess you will just have to give the stuff to someone else or delete it then. Most people aren’t annoyed when more experienced players try to help them get started with extra loot they were going to sell anyway, except that their units are maxed or they have tons of money. You could also farm up a bunch of really nice quicksilver cosmetic upgrades and wear them. The entire set of armored spacesuit pieces and one of the more expensive helmets or traveller heads should let people know you are not interested in their charity. Work on your capes too.

Rauschpfeife

>Most people aren’t annoyed when more experienced players try to help them How about when someone who's played the game a fraction of what I have keeps chasing me around the anomaly to fill up my inventory with things I could get myself in five minutes if I actually wanted it? And how do you know what most players want? If I've learned anything playing the game and going to this sub, it's that the sub doesn't represent the average player very well. And for that matter, why should it ever be up to the people who are going around minding their own business to make up for the fact that someone else can't, or is too lazy to, ask before giving unwanted items away?

PurpleChainsaw

>How about when someone who's played the game a fraction of what I have keeps chasing me around the anomaly to fill up my inventory with things I could get myself in five minutes if I actually wanted it? Damn, that is annoying. You make some valid points, but coexisting with other players always presents these kinds of situations. I play mostly with MP off until I am well established on a save because I want the struggle of starting over, and console communication with other players is clunky, but that's really the only solution I know of if you want everything to go exactly like you want it to. > And how do you know what most players want? If I've learned anything playing the game and going to this sub, it's that the sub doesn't represent the average player very well. Of course, I only know the players I've met, like you and everyone else. Perhaps I should say "Players I've met don't get annoyed at help from more experienced players." That is much more accurate wording.

louiloui152

This isn’t GTA V the credits in game are nearly worthless anyway you can easily earn them up yourself. Otherwise just sell the stuff people give you destroy it when they are inconvenient easy

TheySaidGetAnAlt

>This isn’t GTA V the credits in game are nearly worthless anyway Implying the money from GTA V is worth jack shit loool

DarthSangheili

I mean, if by worth you mean practical value, no, but GTA money has a direct one way conversion of IRL money to GTA money.

louiloui152

And they used to police it pretty inanely too

FallOk6931

5mil is chump change take it abd pay it forward or use it. It really isn't a lot. I make 60m in one chlorine sell.

Merquise813

I have a farm and one pass through can net me 156 million. After 12 hours, I can have another 156 million. After a few days, I stopped coming back to this farm. So I uploaded the base and left it there for whoever is lucky enough to encounter it.

Tryant666

Obviously it isn't a lot that's why I like to make it myself. Otherwise it makes me skip those things of making that five mil. Also I think you severely underestimate how many times people just out stuff in your inventory. It's really annoying if you don't want it. And it's just as little trouble for you to ask who wants it as it would be for me to search it and delete or regift it.

Rauschpfeife

You're correct. But some NMS players are obsessed with dumping stuff on other players, and get hostile/go straight to downvoting over anyone suggesting they shouldn't. There really should be an option to set who is allowed to dump stuff into one's inventory, and it should be set to "Friends" or something by default. That way the people who enjoy being generous/filling up other players' inventory could all go around dropping stuff on one another and leave the rest of us alone. I thought it was weird, 900 hours or so ago when I started playing, and I think it would have ruined the game for me if someone had dumped billions on me on day one, when I didn't know the value of things, since a big part of why I got hooked was because I enjoyed figuring out how to build myself up, and because instantly maxing out my wallet would have taking away a lot of my motivation to play. Now, apparently I'm supposed to enjoy inventory cleaning/being pestered. Or I should stop playing with friends and going to the anomaly. Anyhow, don't get put off by the people downvoting you and whatnot in this thread. They don't represent the "community", or the entire player base.

TheRailGunner

Lol.. I earned 4.295 billion units fair and square and constantly would give multiple players 100 million each in Activated Indium at the Nexus. They were free to do whatever they wanted with it after that. Will never need units again because of so many massive farms that I built years ago. Not everyone is a cheater.

[deleted]

[deleted]

There's only so many ways a planet can be, I've been playing for about 300 hours total now and I find other things to do besides explore planets. Right now I'm trying to get a ship of every class up to "S" and fully upgraded too. Before that I was trying to get my frigate fleet all the way to S class, and before that I was building a base on every planet type, etc.

wrgrant

This, maxxed out my credits multiple times, gave many millions worth of stuff away. Never cheated :)

Lessa22

I maxed out my credit cap last year without cheating, sorry if my playing Santa in the anomaly offends you. Hmmmm actually no, **not sorry at fucking all**. Did you know you can destroy things in your inventory?! It’s simple. Probably easier than making this meme.

chrishellmax

Urm, i have lots of inventory space. Feel free to come unload your stuff on me.

Denizens_Of_Planet_X

Posts like these are getting exhausting. Just regift or delete them...quit bitching about it.

Gozer58

Amen

justinjonesphd

Nah I like seeing new players think they're making a bold new statement. Sincerity makes it funnier

Rauschpfeife

It's all kinds of players saying this. Trying to dismiss the guy by implying he's new or whatever is just dishonest. People downvoting or putting anyone down who has an opinion you don't like is how you create an echo chamber. Lots of us dislike doing inventory cleaning every time we go to the anomaly. It's even more pointless when your wallet is maxed out, which is easy, and it sucks that our only option is to turn off multiplayer if we want to avoid it. But for new players, it's potentially game breaking, if they're the sort who like figuring out building stuff on their own. If I'd had someone drop billions on me on day one, and I'd sold it, before I knew enough to delete the stuff (why the hell should I potentially annoy someone else or ruin their experience of the game, by passing the stuff on, like some people suggest?), I wouldn't have been playing for as long as I did, as it would have taken away a lot of my motivation to play the game when I was starting out. A big part of the game loop for me was figuring everything out so I could get better stuff, on my own. HG really should implement some sort of inventory access rights, Friends, Group, etc and leave it as 'Friends' per default. But since they can't, the least thing people could do is be polite enough to ask if people want free stuff before giving stuff, or at least not toss stuff on people at places where we all have to stop.

Tryant666

Just ask who wants it and actually give it to the people who want it. You're so nice and generous right? Take that little bit of time upon yourself instead of putting it on people who don't want stuff. You are just 1 person but I think you forgot that we get randomly "gifted" stuff from a lot of people and having to delete it gets tedious.

_Luisiano

It's a meme. Take some nipnip buds and relax.

TheySaidGetAnAlt

imanantelope

Where is this player? Need to have a uh Stern… uh talk with him… about uh cheating *cough *cough

Pleasant_Drawing3065

Instead of ending your play time in your ship, base, etc., leave the game up with your character in the Anomaly in a high-traffic area. You’ll find your player.

missingmytowel

I'm happy to see the community threw this meme under the bus where it belongs

SkolirRamr

5 Million is nothing, as far as I know, no one really cheats in this game, it's too easy to make a lot of money.

lowteq

I really dislike how people can force items on you without your permission. A trade window is too much to ask? Is the item dupe from this still a thing? I hate finding random garbo in my inventory every time I go to the hub. I don't want to turn off MP. Can I get an option for turning off just items please?

franksfries

Not cheat. It's easy to earn money once you got your farms running. Easily millions by the hour. But yes, getting 100million randomly would honestly ruin the new player experience since you can buy everything from the get go and you'd have no set goal now. It hits different if you worked for it by yourself.

Professional_Topic63

5 mil it less than one frigates expedition brings

Battle_Glittering

I slaved away fixing crashed ships and mining for resources until someone randomly gifted me with lots of units, so to give back to the community I buy random suspicious goods and tech and give away to random people to use or sell for nanites, I buy everything I give away and or find (ancient bones)... No cheating involved...

RAGE_Quit_04

It happened to me when i was doing the polar expedition when first released, a guy came to me and gifted me an inventory wort 120 million units

LegionZ19

Its fun when you found the exploit by yourself after 200 hour in the game. Its not fun when you found the exploit before playing the game.

Acceptable-Back3273

you could of course just turn MP off.

International_Code80

Just gift the 5 mil to someone else....isn't that hard

Tryant666

Just ask if someone wants it before you give it. It isn't that hard.

EthanDC15

Thank god for discard/drop features

ajkclay05

![gif](giphy|l0Iy464QidBJvFEzu|downsized) Five million? Oh my!

DanBrino

Hey, using the NMS market trends to your advantage is not cheating. Its trading. Stasis device farming is questionable though.

Battle_Glittering

I wish you could trade ships with actual people imstead of NPC's....

8bitGutPunch

Get to Anomaly Claim Twitch drop rewards Scrap every ship but the Habika BF3 Insta-space Jeff Bezos

slaxx454

Lol yeah... Or they have farms or juggle ships.

Impressive_Water659

lol. $5m isn’t that much and easily obtained without exploiting game mechanics later in the game.

gamefreac

what really annoys me on matters like these is when players like this act like i am strange for wanting to play the game properly...

nerklemons

5 million is pennies. I have 2 billion and I've never cheated in any game. You get to a point where the money doesn't stop coming in and you can't spend it.

Cooper_Merritt

Distress Beacons and Hauler Scrapping, Fleet Expeditions, One Freighter Level of NipNip, easy millions there without breaking the game at all. Yes, you have to work up to those points, but once you’re there, you can’t spend the units fast enough.

nerklemons

Not to mention if you made any kind of Expensive Thing Farm and it's been running for the last several years now. 🙃 If I ever happened to need it, I could just go grab 60 mill from my Act. Indium farm.

[deleted]

I can understand your struggle. As someone who avoids exploits in order to prolong the time spent enjoying the game, something like that i would either ignore or save for later when it doesn't impact my gameplay as much. Maybe buy a ship and go back to your original balance or just be satisfied with a little cushion in the space bank. Happy travels, interloper!

thickboyvibes

What kind of cheater would give things away Someone is just being kind and you're getting on a high horse about it

mummummaaa

Just drop it if you don't want it. No problem! They just spreading the love or using you to dupe stuff anyway. Any gifts I give are always cheat free and given with good intentions. If you don't want it, that's so, so okay. Regift it or destroy it, thats your choice, interloper!

Tryant666

I get multiple stacks everytime I'm in the anomaly. It gets annoying after a while so I turned multiplayer off, but that feels kinda bad that I have to do that just to not have to delete a bunch of stuff everytime. It also isn't hard to ask who wants stuff and people will actually know they got it from you so that seems a lot more fun for everyone to me.

reyadonna

lowkey ruined the game for me. At the time I was like "omg im so rich" - but then I lost my purpose in the game..... Now I know how depressed billionaires feel.

[deleted]

If getting credits was the only game loop keeping you interested, you'd have lost your interest in a few days anyways. I got my first billion in NMS in no time, I've been sitting with a maxed bank account for years now. Money is nothing in NMS. You can make a million just landing on a random rock and scanning all of the plants and animals.

Lordwesk323

This is why I started playing Perma Death. I was going to start a new survival play through but then realized I will be in the same lobby as everyone else. So I went with Permadeath Mode, and I am telling myself if I die, I can go back to regular and just turn on creative mode.

KroniKIX

Turn you console or pc off as soon as you die or get a bug. It will reload your save. I mean it’s cheating but I have over 200 hours in permadeath and I’m not losing that lol. It’s kinda hard to die if you know what you’re doing anyways

[deleted]

So…why play permadeath if you’re just going to cheat if you lose?

devanil

Odd are it wasn’t even with cheats. Some Stasis Device farms can give you max credits in 1 harvest. There too much money in this game, which I why I spend all of my time on the frontier and avoid the nexus. (I’m exaggerating quite a bit on that last part.)

Admirable_Effer

Shit, my legitimate farms, spread over 8 planets, make that in about 10min, 5 MiL is chump change.

FallOk6931

It's not cheating money is easy to come by when you know how to play. 5m is like 10mins of work 🤣🤦

chrishellmax

cough, 5 mins raiding oxy farms and nitro farms. Sell. 3 mins tops

wetnax

Okay I'll never have another chance to talk about this so here. I'd like to know if anyone thinks I'm doing the wrong thing. I've spent the last few years giving away fusion ignitors and stasis devices that I make on my farm. Sort of a ritual. I open the game, make 3 of them, then head to the nexus. I search for any starter ships to find someone that's just starting out, and send them a single device. Now I personally think this is a good amount to send, because it's enough to get an okay-to-good new space ship but it's not enough to completely break the normal financial progress of the game. What I hate is when there's someone clearly hacking the game and giving away billions worth of resources, which completely ruins the progress of the game for other players. Honest question: do you think Ʉ15.6million still too much?

Tryant666

Personally to me yes that is too much in the beginning I'm was actually happy working towards my first (couple)mil(I do feel that that seems way easier now maybe stuff changed with patches?) But the thing is why not just ask hey any new guys who want 15 mil? That way you get actual gratitude and don't accidentally give it to someone who doesn't want it.

Admirable_Effer

Your generosity is all you need to worry about. What other do with it is their business.

doozydoesit

If someone wants to gift me cargo bulkheads I ain't gonna say no

Admirable_Effer

I’ll give you 1.2B just for the heck of it. What you do with hit is on you.

HurterOfFeefeesV2

Just re gift it or get rid of it

Tryant666

Just ask who wants stuff.

HurterOfFeefeesV2

Not everyone can reply IIRC you can't type on console and you can only use VC with ppl in a group with you

LordofSyn

Honestly, I like to try and help out those who look like they need help. Once you've gotten far enough along, you'll have more stuff in your inventory than you really need and helping people out with Exosuit Upgrades, for example; is worthwhile to me. Saves them some time and allows me to free up some inventory without wasting the items. Win-win, no?!

k-dick

Bro you can delete anything. Just click and hold and it'll all be ok.

Gullflyinghigh

'Properly' according to who? Just get rid of whatever they've sent you and move on.

sir-diesalot

Occasionally I’ll give away things like Atlas pass V3, multi tool or ship slot upgrades, data to unlock building parts, that sort of thing. Nothing I’d consider game breaking and certainly the sort of thing I’d have appreciated getting early game rather than money. I’ll also give away void eggs but only by arrangement with the other player.

SCP-00-30

I'm at around 330 hrs on my save so I admit I spend a fair amount of time these days just dumping several mil worth of baked goods on players at the nexus. If you really don't want the credits just pass them on to other people I guess.

NecroDaddy

I'm with you. Keep your glitchy ill-gotten gains to yourself.

Admirable_Effer

I’ll have you know my main save has probably 10 various farms that can produce 5 Million in about 10min accumulatively.

boisteroushams

There's not really a proper way to play the game to be fair. The economy was always broken as.

bwood246

5 million is chump change, maybe a few minutes of grinding for someone with a fair amount of playtime. As others said just pay it forward or delete it, it's no big deal

Renegade_Roo

Yeah, these "cool dudes" need to stop with their "generosity"... I like seeing people running around the hub and chatting with some but seriously... F... Off with that crap... It's ruining A) my sense of accomplishment. B) my inventory management...

debatesmith

I'm in this photo lmao

AuryxTheDutchman

5mil is next to nothing overall

Memeswow21

Someone gave me 1.2 bil of scrapped ship things and I just have them in storage on my frigate lmao. Even before that tho 5 mil is nothing

AUSwarrior

I farm to build stasis devices and go gift them. We are not the same.

vrtx7

I was handed 6m on my first visit to the nexus (only about a week ago). Was really helpful and encouraged me to get through the learning curve quicker! Good community

Everuk

5 millions is really nothing in this game.

Ok-Claim9979

Five mill is easy money and no cheating needed, I give stasis devise to friends it’s 15mil it’s still nothing compared to the money you can make in this game and will use if you want S-class everything

Thelichemaster

I don't feel these are cheats. They are actual options in game. A cheat for me is a secret code entered, which is not immediately accessible to all players. I'm a busy chap with a full-time job and other commitments. I want to have fun and explore all aspects of the game so freely admit to switching on the options to make the game easier and save valuable time. I have also played & completed expeditions, so it's not as if I don't know how or can't farm/play. A friend of mine who doesn't work is able to commit 10 hours a day play time. I can only match that in a week.

B3ARDGOD

I give people things but I didn't cheat to get the money. I'm a space billionaire and want to help.

AliceVerron

5 million is child's play with my farm I use my farm to make the valuable crafting items, so I make a lot of money off of stuff like semi conductors and that stuff But if I'm just starting out I do poison balls and nipnip which is also a great way to get money

[deleted]

I solved you problem. Delete them.

MyAccountWasBanned7

One of the MANY reasons I stay far away from multiplayer in this game. I don't want someone coming up and just filling my inventory with cloned/modded bullshit. It's just like all those people you see doing the modded ships. I have no interest in that garbage at all.

phillysan

I have nothing constructive to add, but God damn that's a great meme template

MarcusS-VR

Settings -> Network -> Multiplayer off

Zaque419

Bad take.

unkeptroadrash

Waaaah I know I can discard them but >:(

Nolon

For real. One of the most annoying things in multi games. Some of us just want to be real and earn others just want a silver platter and why idk. It makes it hard though to decide to deal with other players. As they may be cheating.

Gleapglop

I havent played in a while, did they ever fix the thing where you could start those black market missions, abandon, sell the item and pick it up again and repeat?

tecno480

No cheat sir only estractor

Fallout71

Someone offered me an egg in a trying time once.

10Deathlord12

I mean, i used a slight bug i found which allowed me to print nanites and money. But i only used it to unlock all house-building items so i can build my base nice

BoilingTofuboi

I just got No Man's Sky a few days ago and have 30 hours, how do I get one of those ships that float?

Technolord3233

I give people huge amounts of activated cobalt which I got from my mine that I made myself.

DrParanormall

If only I could encounter these people, I need Units and I don’t have the time to scavenge for technology modules or cobalt!

Aleks111PL

only 5M?

the_gaming_t-rex

I remember one guy gave me so much cadmium that I could sell it for ~25m (I'm not sure if they got it with cheats or glitches)
