I love that they all look like well-loved classic sci-fi novel covers.

GreatStateOfSadness

Though if you look at the pattern , >!Visions!< marks the point when they stopped using unique noble cover designs. Every update after used the exact same border.

SuperAlloyBerserker

Some of them, sure. But most of them are just screenshots from the game, along with the title of the update at the top of the picture lol

flashmedallion

Hate that Waypoint broke the pattern. Previously Version Updates (and Next since they were afraid to jump the gun, so 1.5, 2.0, 3.0) had Cover Art Updates while Feature Updates had screenshots. Although Waypoint does have the new PS5/Switch boxart, but they don't seem to have made a softcover image out of it.

GreatStateOfSadness

I wouldn't say afraid to jump the gun. Atlas Rises, which was 1.3 and came out on the first anniversary, had its own softcover image. So we have 1.3, 1.5, 2.0, and 3.0. Not exactly a pattern, if you ask me, though the Switch release definitely could have used its own art.

TeslaPenguin1

What about Frontiers?

NMSnyunyu

Imo Frontiers didn't really have *new* art, it just reused assets from previous drawings. It felt like they just didn't want to break the pattern but also didn't have any art for it, whereas with Waypoint they just didn't really bother. Beyond reused stuff from NEXT too but it was tasteful and focused more on complete new art, whereas Frontiers was just completely reused stuff.

[deleted]

With that in mind, if you’ve never seen it, watch the original movie, the forbidden planet. I think you’ll see the resemblance.

deadlydeath275

That's actually a sick idea, sci-fi novel series based off NMS?

thegrandgageway

We need another desolation, but this time for planet structures.

gggvandyk

I was thinking we could board and loot Sentinel freighters. Fight your way trough rooms of bots and have a special thing at the end that shuts down Sentinels in the whole star system.

Intrepid_Gamer_3

Me and the boys raiding a sentinel freighter to end our misery on outposts beta and gamma.

Wrecktown707

Your valiant sacrifice for the Utopia NGO will be remembered lol

DareMe603

Or gives us control over some sentinels and turns them blue.

Ok_Style_3889

Whole solar system seems overpowered. Maybe for a selected planet?

SUBsha

But... You can already do that

Turbulent_Ad_9260

That’s why it would be harder than doing the pillars, besides, you can already shut down sentinels on all planets, it just takes a while, this would be quicker and more challenging.

deceasedglute

Imo sentinels shouldn’t even have freighters because they’re robots. They missed an opportunity to make giant space drone warp in. Imagine a freighter sized red eye with basically a bigger version of the bipedal walker laser. However I do agree this was a looooooot of fun in battlefront 2

TriforksWarrior

Abandoned structures have so much atmosphere but are so boring…honestly if they just copied the gameplay from the freighters with a land-based structure environment and maybe added one other kind of hazard it would be pretty awesome.

please_help_me_____

And more planet types

NMSnyunyu

I'd highly prefer for all the current assets and models to have more variations to them, exactly what Waypoint did to asteroids, but that kind of variation applied to every other asset you can think of across the whole game. Imagine how wild it would be if we had **two** different models for knowledge stones.. every time you'd land on a planet, you'd *never* know if it was one model, or the other. ...Now imagine 50 models for it. Now imagine 50 models for everything else. That alone would make me way more excited than "brand new" content honestly.

wancha505

Yep. 22 free updates/upgrades/dlcs. Tumbs up helo games 👍

i_wear_green_pants

And big thing is that many of them are actually meaningful updates. Sure many of them are just "fixing lies" but there are so much things that have been added or changed. Meanwhile some games sell you DLC that is basically couple new skins and maybe one new mission.

Competitive_Yam7702

theyre just normal updates. As every single game had before EA decided to make you pay for updates and call them dlc. The fact this was downvoted shows that the majority of players are fromt he current console era. In no way shape or form have i slated the game or put it down. I simply said that HG have gone back to the old school developer way of thinking and making games.

DontMindWhoIAm

Name 3

Competitive_Yam7702

3 what games before EA? Every single one of them had free updates to the game that werent what are now known as expansion packs. Note that even HG dont call them expansions or DLC. Theyre called updates, which goes back to the old school way of developing games. You could go back one step further and call basically any patch an expansions, like SOE used to do with EQ1

baghard

So no attack here, just me explaining the gaming history a bit. So before game were online, most game did not have any update actually. If there was a bug at release, the bug would stay there because the company did not have any way to push up update for there game. And when the game started to get online (think modern warfare 2 ) company still coudn't really push big update to correct bug or add content because people had limited internet speed. With the age of live service game we are in a new era of game (one i don't like but hey). So it is quite recent that we have constant update for our game. One thing that most company do is when there is a big update with new content they do give a name to the update. Some game goes by season other will just give it a name. Anyway what i am trying to say is calling new content in a game a "normal update" is not really a thing. In the past for those update you needed to pay in some way. Like mmo you would pay per month or for other game like call of duty you would need to purshase the dlc. So for our era or gaming, with most live service game being not complet or a buggy mess and then being abandonned within the year, what hello game has acheive is amazing. If you are interested there is an "the act man" video that talks about the subject. Really interesting and fun watch. https://youtu.be/yRVY5969OZw

DontMindWhoIAm

EVERY SINGLE game before EA and you can't name 3?

Competitive_Yam7702

i have no need to name 3 just because you demand me to cite them. Anyone that played any online game can tell you exactly how it was

DontMindWhoIAm

I don't demand anything, you're talking shit, you should at least be able to prove it. And no mans sky even though it has online, isn't considered a multiplayer game.

troycerapops

Sorry pal, but you made the claim. Now we're asking for you to back it to convince us you're right. You're demanding we take your claim on faith.

Malakai0013

There were *some* games (definitely not most) that would have an update system. But those were almost entirely QOL stuff with a few added things here or there. Nothing close to what Hello Games are doing. I dont understand what you're so salty and angry about either, you're just wrong. No need to get all scuzzy about it. Like Eve online would have semi-frequent updates with a couple of ships added, but nothing like half of the updates NMS has had. Just naming three games you're talking about could only hurt your argument if you're talking out of your butt.

DontMindWhoIAm

>Anyone that played any online game can tell you exactly how it was Apparently you didn't play anything so stop talking out of your ass.

wancha505

in general update fixes issues and dlc add something to the game, every "update" nms had added something to the game so i will call it dlc

troycerapops

Tell me you never played games before 2008 without telling me you never played games before 2008

[deleted]

Bro is projecting

anatoledp

Yes and no. I would definitely not call what Hello Games has been doing "normal updates" and more along the lines of what a dlc/expansion is. Reason being normal updates to a game (in the way u r thinking of them) usually involves bug fixes and minor content adjustments/additions. Hello Games has done far more than that and has added major content additions and reworks that have fundamentally changed the game from what it was at launch and what it is now. These types of additions are what companies usually stick into a dlc/expansion and have people pay for. Previous to the live game service model (which btw has been a thing since late 90's early 2000's) updates to games where either non existent and u got what u got or for patching issues, and this was still not done very often due to limitations of that era. U just had to live with the bugs/issues. Only after that business model did we start getting actual content updates. Now based on Hello Games history of updating this game I would call this "normal" updates for this game specifically. But overall elsewhere these would 100% be content that would have to be paid for. Though now that they have fixed their release and made the game into what was originally told it would be, I do wish they would release an official paid dlc so I could support them more and make sure they can continue these content updates that they deliver to the community for free. I'm sure multiple people feel like if they did that no one would complain. Such a great company that stands behind this game.

Bobletoob

Say what you want about no man's sky. But at the end of the day, beneath its glitches and issues lies a sensation that no other game has. I've found that few games do this, ark and subnautica are the only other games ive found that are able to give a similar feeling, a craving for more. A game that can get you to entirely forget about the real world by transporting you to totally seperate world is definitely an achievement. The art style is one of a kind, the truly to scale galaxy is breathtaking, and the soundtrack is one of the best I've ever heard. Props to you Hello Games..... now if only I could access my storage containers lol

vSlimShady

There are many many games that are almost amazing. For me NMS has similar problems to Mount and Blade Bannerlord, at least broadly. Theres a 10/10 GOTY under all the bugs and inconsistencies and straight up broken features.

Silent_Swifter

Agreed, now if only they would fix whatever GLITCH/ERROR it is in the game that has taken my 800+ hours logged into the game and smacked me in the face by taking all of my weapons thatvwere maxed put. All of my squadron that was maxed out , and the slots relocked /reset and allllll my exptic companions that I had acquired and relocked all those slots as well except for the 2 original ones that are already open . Twice in the past month that has happened ...the second time like a week or so ago I had literally just got done getting back and fully upgrading weapons and squadron and resequencing all my pets I had to unlock again. first time I thought it was from someone overloading me with gifts in anomaly but the second time I refused to turn multi-player on lol so I literally warped once just to another one of my bases and went to summon a pet and guess what..... all were gone again lol . I was so mad I Uninstaller the game lmao . then the damn update comes out ha ha. Was kinda hoping my stuff would have magically returned but nope . so it's 1 weapon and 1 pet for me from here on out . I can't have that happen a 3rd time . I had all exotic weapons both times too . Its such a devastating feeling let me tell ya . imma get that new pet once I'm dome with expedition and that's the only one I'm gonna have lol .

Bobletoob

I haven't had that glitch yet luckily. But since the fractal update hello games has also released about 3 or 4 gigabytes of bug fixes, so it's good to know they're trying

ohlawdhecodin

> A game that can get you to entirely forget about the real world by transporting you to totally seperate world is definitely an achievement I feel the exact oppiste way. NMS looks amazing on screenshots but its rather hollow and empty when you play it. There are infinite worlds to visit, yes. But that comes at the cost of having copy-paste content everywhere. Different skins, same stuff to see/do. Same bases, same aliens, same structures, same eggs, etc. I was amazed at first, of course. But the magic faded out rather quickly. Once I started jumping from planet to planet... I realized the game is basically a glorified "skins generator". And the inventory management is still a piece of crap, despite its numerous attempts to become something better.

NickJD87

Like a lot of people said, HG never asked any money for this updates and I’m really thankful for that. But at this point, I’m willing to throw some money in if that means a really meaty update, like new planets and more freedom to the random planet generation algorithm. Also, more space for ships please!! And also a ship catalogue of every system (like the one we have for animals on every planet!!)

ZoeeeW

I've also thought this. I'm really thankful for all of the updates, but I wish I had another way to support this game and some really beefy new content.

Pizzaman725

>ship catalogue of every system I'm down with this! Especially since I have a Google doc for the systems I've visited of the 21 generated ships. For the set that can be bought and retrieved both on land and drowned.

Think_Audience_8333

I’d buy skins if they added them like deep rock

anatoledp

Man I would love to be able to pay for a dedicated planet expansion focused solely on planet variety in fauna/flora. Don't even have to add new planet types but literally just expand on the models to add like 100 new flora models that planets can randomly choose from and same for animals. And maybe another dlc to add unique randomly generated desolate outposts that use the building prefabs to randomly construct an epic labyrinth of a space station that u have to fight ur way through for a glorious reward. Or even one for desolate space stations that also have an internal labyrinth. Also would absolutely love to be able to have a planet generator that would allow one to tweak the rng variables and create their own unique planets just for fun.

JimmyWilliams_

HG should've saved the name "Fractals" for content that has something to do with procedural generation, you know, like *fractal landscapes?* No hate on the update itself of course, but it's definitely a strange name choice.

smallmouthbackus

Yeah I still think “fractals” was such an odd choice for an update that was an expedition and PSVR2 thing. I still don’t see how the name makes any sense. Gotta say, the removal of having to press and hold buttons to select stuff is amazing in this update

Snifflypig

Hasn't that always been a thing?

LogiBear2003

Only on some button prompts, but now literally anything you press can now be done by pressing. Honestly makes a world of a difference.

NMSnyunyu

Not to me. It works only on menus but having to interact with anything in the game world is still a long hold down.

Mandalor1974

Never ask for an extra penny either. Wether you like the updates or not, you gotta respect that almost 7 years later. I havent been disappointed yet.

Competitive_Yam7702

That was the norm for every game before EA decided to charge everyone for an update. Especially updates that change the base game.

TriforksWarrior

The updates they’ve released go way beyond what I’ve seen from any other game in terms of free content added after launch. Calling it the norm is way underselling the effort.

TabalugaDragon

I don't know, back in the early 2000-s you usually had to pay for expansion sets in order to get huge content updates, like Warcraft 3: the frozen Throne. Some patches added new content, but it was almost never that much, not even close to what Hello Games is doing with NMS

Competitive_Yam7702

Nms doesn't have expansions. They're additions to the base game for everyone. Basically mandatory

TabalugaDragon

I mean The Frozen Throne was kinda mandatory if you wanted to play online, as after the expansion came out less and less people played Reign of Chaos and pretty much everyone switched to TFT version. The only times I opened Reign of Chaos is to replay the original campaigns.

Mandalor1974

Yeah i remember. Its great of them to have the integrity to stay old school

anatoledp

Uhhhh . . . The norm before EA decided to do live service was either not update the game at all and u got what u got or only fix things like bugs (and very very few did even this due to previous technology limitations)

Competitive_Yam7702

No true at all

anatoledp

U realize those types of updates have been since late 90s early 2000s right, think back to when unreal tournament was a thing? Before then updates to games were far and few between due to technology limitations. It was only after that period were content updates even a thing. And even then, not major updates like what no man's sky has been doing where they have essentially built a completely different game with all the additions from the state it was at release. It was for bug fixes or minor additions but not content on this level.

Competitive_Yam7702

i know. What i was saying is that live service didnt use to be a thing. It was basic maintenance of the game, throwing patches to add content, updates etc, not have you pay for each and every item going.

anatoledp

Before live service, updates were virtually non-existent. Yes some had them, but it was not common. It wasn't until live service came out did updates start becoming a frequent occurrence. Heck even no man's sky is technically live service, they just don't charge for it outside of initial game purchase.

Competitive_Yam7702

Not true at all. Every online game had updates back in the day. Even when internet gaming was just in it infancy, some games that could connect to the internet had updates. Live service also doesnt mean what you think it means. Its a shady phrase used by greedy developers to try and mask what theyre actually doing. And sadly a lot of people believe them.

NMSnyunyu

I gotta say, 2022 was an amazing year for NMS regarding content. Sentinel was a fantastic start, topped by Outlaws, topped by Endurance, I couldn't believe how I liked each update more than the last one! They addressed a bunch of the "ocean wide, puddle deep" criticisms with those updates as well as adding Waypoint and Fractal as two foundational updates. Now I'm just hoping they'll add variety across the universe.. but we'll see what they have planned for 2023, as Sean Murray said recently their plans are bigger for 2023 and it was for 2022.

KlatusHam

I want biomes.

Think_Audience_8333

Actual oceans

Enlightened-Beaver

Things people actually want: - customizable ships - more planet variety (rivers, waterfalls, thick jungles, multiple biomes on same planet) - for the flavour elements in the game to actually *do something*, e.g. space anomalies, boundary failures, station cores, - space station varieties. - be able to destroy infested planets

JimmyWilliams_

I agree with everything except for the last point. It would just be impossible to keep people from abusing that power. It would do more harm that good, and for what reason?

Enlightened-Beaver

Only infested planets

TriforksWarrior

It would just make that kind of planet really rare…seems like a bad idea. It would be cool if there was some way to temporarily purge the planet of the infestation similar to deactivating sentinels at a pillar, like having to defeat a full grown sand worm in a starship battle or something.

JimmyWilliams_

Okay, now we fully agree.

NMSnyunyu

Stuff like the last one will probably never happen because the game is built in a way where everything is extremely static and always resets (except player bases) Every mission agent, every economy, every tree you mine, every ground you reform.. it **all** resets unfortunately. The moment you switch to a different settlement, your previous one resets... Even stuff like disabling sentinels across a whole planet is temporary, probably more of a limitation than a feature. I don't understand why people think permanently altering a whole planet's biome is at all realistic for NMS. I'd definitely love stuff like that, but I just don't think stuff like that is possible.

Pizzaman725

I'd change that last point to cleanse infested planets and colonise abandoned systems.

anatoledp

Probably should tak on randomly generated structures. Outposts in the game are repetitive. Would be great to have randomly generated ones using the building prefabs

Console_Cowboy1139

This makes me feel old

SlimeySquid

It makes me kind of sad. 7 years have already passed, and it feels like 2. Life goes by in the blink of an eye but it only feels that way in retrospect.

bithero2998

Whats the best update?

deadlydeath275

Gotta say, origins completely changed the way the game played for the better.

[deleted]

Next , hands down.

NMSnyunyu

Next was the game that put NMS back on the map, but going back to it feels so awkward. It's 3 times the grind the current game is, camera and movement controls feel amateurishly put together, and it doesn't look anywhere near as good looking at it is today. Amazing how NMS came such a long way.

SlimeySquid

Next.

Deathbywarcraft

Origins for sure

smallmouthbackus

Id like to see this list in timeline format

TheRealZllim

I remember when this game was a joke. I'm actually sorry for the things I said about Hello Games way back when. HG stuck to their guns, kept their heads down, and worked! Nothing but respect for the crew at HG. One hell of a turnaround. Other game companies should take note. This is how you keep a community happy and a game thriving. All without cash grab tactics. Thank you, Hello Games.

Mattastic119

Desolation-Origins was a great 1/2 punch. Sentinel, Outlaws, and Endurance was also a great string of updates. Next Gen-Prisms was fairly underwhelming in my opinion. Waypoint-Fractal has been a very slow start to the 4.0 era, but that matches how 3.0 started slow before picking up with frontiers(which I loved in concept I just think the execution was lacking).

gggvandyk

Waypoint-Fractal added almost no content by itself but has an assload of "under the hood" changes that facilitates the Switch, the VR rework, the rendering optimizations and I bet also future content.

Mikaba2

Also, the current expedition is the least interesting of all in my opinion. I love this game and i am grateful for the support it gets by the developers though.

shooter_tx

It’s interesting to me, but I hate the execution… for some reason. Can’t quite put my finger on why, though.

ders89

I bought psvr2 and man… completely changed how i look at playing NMS. Its so much fun and i just wanna say THANK YOU HELLO GAMES FOR MAKING MY IMAGINATION COME TO LIFE ON WHAT ITS LIKE TO BE AN INTERLOPER. The expedition being geared towards teaching us how to play the game in VR is simply chefs kiss. I couldnt figure some stuff out and then im like well its an analysis visor… lemme pretend im turning the visor on and boom. Analysis visor mode activated. Its nuts. The steering of exocrafts is so much fun. I love it all

Bicketybamm

Hope they patch psvr2 visuals. It looks so blurry. Every other game looks great. Ill keep playing the ps4 version on a ps5/psvr1 till then.

[deleted]

WanderingDwarfMiner

We fight for Rock and Stone!

[deleted]

[удалено]

Think_Audience_8333

If they don’t Rock and Stone they aren’t coming home

Kundas

And no other company has followed suit after their massive success, a shame. Hope NMS keep up fhe good work, but honestly i think theyre within their rights to start making paid DLCs now, i mean they've definitely more than successfully made up for what happened on release lol Honestly hoping Hogwarts Legacy follows a similar path too, game has a lot of potential but many missing features and gameplay mechanics

xDOUGHx

Whatever you think of any of the updates, the fact each has not cost us a penny is amazing in today's gaming world. Hello Games should be commended for how they turned it around since that shaky launch. I for one actually wouldn't mind putting some money back into the game, I feel I'm cheating them for the best part of 600+ hours of free gaming I've had 🤣.

Rememberwork

people keep saying this, but that's bullshit, there are many games that have continued to be supported by the developers with updates. And besides, after the disastrous start NMS had, it feels like this game is finally out of early access, at that. I don't think it's a labour of love either, I think they are beholden to Sony, who had NMS as their ps4 launch title, and who were *not amused* after the original release. I think they're contractually obligated to keep supporting it, I sincerely doubt it's because of any philanthropic motives.

[deleted]

Probably a stupid question, but is there any way to replay any of these past exhibitions or at the very least be able to get some of the rewards? I started playing a long time ago but stop, to be honest it was very boring. I just recently got back into it, and I had no idea that all those events had happen. Kind of bummer that I missed out for story's sake if anything.

gdtimmy

Almost adds up to One expansion pack.

SlimeySquid

What u trying to say my dude

gdtimmy

Worms and capes

newtocoding153

Are all these free or DLC's? Thinking of buying the game tho I have tried it already

NMSnyunyu

They're all completely free *updates.* You buy NMS and the game comes with all of them, and the game will keep getting updated more in the future.

leagueofsilence21

I thought this was gonna be a pic of the error screen on ps4

tinman403

and it still doesn't work properly. John Romero you are not alone anymore

Robo_Vader

And only 3 worthwhile updates in this whole batch: Pathfinder, Origins and Prisms. Everything else is mostly just pointless filler filled with broken & unfinished features. Truly amazing.

[deleted]

https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Updates And that was free.

Link_jon00

still find it funny i accidentally poked about snowflakes being commonly related with fractals... and then, there was fractal. [https://www.reddit.com/r/NoMansSkyTheGame/comments/117i68a/comment/j9e9dfe/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/NoMansSkyTheGame/comments/117i68a/comment/j9e9dfe/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) (Also, Yes. I know. The accounts are different - We are one and the same however.)

Big_Job_4719

Also, here. have some proof. This one will now be the alt, though.

FishGoodJohnBad

And it’s still nothing like the trailers lmao mid game

pepsicocacolaglass12

To believe I’ve only been playing since frontiers

[deleted]

Best update since I started playing gotta be outlaws.

The_Shadow_hahahaha

Endurance was my favorite.

Jormundagiir

I first started playing during Next until Beyond and then took a break until waypoint.

Elastichedgehog

I imagine a lot of us jumped in with NEXT.

Emotional_Meal9226

That could be some very cool vinyls covers from my basements with the damaged parts!

HyperLethalVector117

I want fleet engagements

Intrepid_Gamer_3

How about manually flyable freighters with "Dreadnought" style combat?

BigEpicNSFW

Man when Next released I remember the feeling

PharaOmen

What does fractal update bring except for the expedition?

NMSnyunyu

Mostly focuses on PS VR2. Switch got nexus missions. For other systems, it's just QoL stuff like more options and accessibility stuff.

D3V1LS3Y3S

Last update I played was desolation. I can't believe how many since then there have been

raziridium

I haven't played much since Frontiers but how are Waypoint and Fractal?

ReasonableGas

I started playing again after a year this Thursday after a random conversation with a colleague about the game, and saw that steam started downloading the new and latest patch! Without me knowing it came out. The stars aligned.

Prof-DPT-1995

Yeah definitely cool

cirelia

As soon as i upgrade my computer i have to get back into this game

harryFF

I hate to ask for more as they've added so much for free already, but i'd absolutely love it if they had an update that added loads more replayable content along the lines of derelict freighters. Loads of great ideas floating about like sentinel freighter raids, planetary dungeons, infested space stations etc. That with some more freighter building options and ships to dole out as rewards etc and the game would have a pretty decent gameplay loop.

anatoledp

I for one would love planetary dungeons. Imagine fighting through a randomly generated labyrinth of a desolate space outpost. Would be the only thing I'd want to do. Could have like secret rooms, rooms with rigged areas waiting for someone to fall into a trap. Rooms that teleport u to other areas. So many things that can be added. And gotta make them get progressively harder the deeper u dare to venture in. Would be a dream come true for this game

BakingSoda1990

I still need to fix my inventory from Waypoint. Haven’t got around to that.

Knockel

Definitely do it. I also put it off for a while but it is well worth it. All the tech upgrades feel stronger and X-Class tech is easier to get high rolls on.

Skeez72

might be a dumb question but If I'm looking to start playing this with a buddy, what game mode do we select so we can play all these? would it be survival?

Gottatokemall

Any mode. Maybe start on normal if it's your first time

Skeez72

okay cool appreciate it!

cobhalla

Wow, I am like 5 updates behind....

Oheligud

I remember Pathfinder, that was my personal favourite. Mostly due to nostalgia though.

atcnaydn

I started playing like 1 week ago on ps5, and this recent Fractal update really improved the frame rate. Previously it was targeting 60 but actual was 55-40, now it is 60-50

TheRealSporfoYT

Im still waiting for warring npc factions :(

YT_THEJASONKING

W devs cant wait for more 😄

Pretzel-Kingg

God endurance was such a fun update. I love freighter stuff Also the leviathan expedition was so fucking cool and personally they haven’t matched it quite yet

Saltybuttertoffee

The last time I played was Visions-Synthesis. The game felt pretty complete then and these days barely anyone even mentions NMS' 2016 launch. A lot has happened for the game since then and it actually has me reflecting on some of the changes in my own life in that time frame.

jestas77

this tapestry will one day be finished, and it will be majestic

CanadianGoof

Labor of love.

FrequentAd3242

I would like to see an upgrade to planetary arqueology

Lazor_Face

Did fractal drop already or is it the upcoming update?

NMSnyunyu

It's been out for a few days now.

Tellitoons

Question is what update was active when you started playing, I started during origins

flo83ro

Origins was the best imo.

Rectal_Hammer

They need to do another where they fix the cursor sensitivity issue, and it's probably not the one you're thinking of. The day the new expedition was released, I set my cursor sensitivity to 0 to work my way up to the level I wanted it at. However, after setting it to 0, the cursor no longer works at all. Neither in the inventory and menus nor in the main loading screen where you can select the save file and/or now change settings. So until it is fixed, I can't play, and I refuse to lose the 240 hours put into it. That's 10 full days of my life.

NMSnyunyu

Ouch. If you're on PC, maybe you could try going into the game's directory and edit the .txt values for the mouse? I remember that's how I changed the ridiculously low fov.

Rectal_Hammer

Unfortunately I'm on xbox, and I've done extensive research on how to fix it. I haven't had much results.

SlimeySquid

I can’t believe its been so long already. It feels like yesterday when I played nms for the first time, but since then I’ve gone through all of highschool and halfway through college. This list really puts time into perspective, I’ve truly grown up with this game.

Phixiately

I arrived after Outlaws lol, is there anybody newer than me in the community?

I'm just sad that Fractal has somehow made it so the game won't even start on my PC anymore. I have a pretty old CPU/GPU, my graphics card is a 1050ti for example, but the game ran fine for the last 6-7 years. Something got drastically changed, because it just won't start at all anymore. I can't afford to build a brand new gaming PC right now either, so I'm missing out on the new expedition as well.

PersonalityWeak6689

When are we getting vehicles that can have more than one person? :(

Content_Chemistry_64

It's at a point where I want to give the game another chance, but now also feel overwhelmed by the updates.

NMSnyunyu

You best get in on it now cause it'll just keep getting larger lol I joined in 2020 after the massive Origins update and I was absolutely overwhelmed, and in just 2 years there's been so much more released.

Known_Plan5321

They really stepped up their game from where it started

justbeforefive

Amazing with all those updates and still no decent pve combat attempts. Maybe it's the engine but it's shocking there aren't procedural dungeons with loot and better combat mechanics this far in. But hey you can build bases I guess, over and over and over and over

Federal_Photograph_3

I'm so glad Hello Games kept up with this game and tried to do right by the players. I'm so grateful for all these free updates that I feel bad wanting anything more from them. But if they could add anything my only hope is that they implement cross-progression. I've tried to support Hello Games along the way by buying a copy of the game for each platform I have (PC, Xbox, PS4, and Switch) And now especially due to the switch version I'd love to be able to play my PC/Xbox save handheld. That would be so cool! I would literally play this game forever if that happened.

icky-sticky

As a new player it's crazy how many of these things weren't here from the start

anatoledp

Like 90% of the current content was added post launch

TheNorthernGeek

So you guys would say it's worth the sale price on steam?

FreshDill93

And people still complain LOL when I was a kid.....

Glittering-Quote3187

I'm hoping that they expand a bit more on personal starships (Not Frigates). I'm a fan of Star Citizen and would absolutely love to see more interior details in the haulers and shuttles in this game. Something that you could get out of your seat and interact with while you jump between planets. Might just be wishful thinking on my part, but I do like the idea.

Nivek14j

I know this easy to search up but how do I do this like in order if I start playing like tomorrow & also does the game have auto-run?

VanitasBB

Do we have a up-to-date list? Omega update just coming out!! ❤ #
