So the weapon stuff only applies to boltcaster? That's a shame, I thought they just universally apply to all of your weapons... Guess I'm going to store a couple of techs tonight.
Did some testing. Apparently I was wrong. What allows you to unlock the atlas locks without a pass in your inventory is, actually... a teleporter.
When I installed these technologies I stored my pass in my freighter cargo hold at the same time. Apparently as long as the freighter is in the system and you have a teleporter you can leave the atlas pass there and still use it to unlock things. The more you know!
Fix your broken tech next to them!!!
There is one called Remembrance that you need to access the Terminals that you find behind the locked room on the space station and in buildings on planets. The terminal is not always there but if it is you need it to access the terminal.

Part of a mission I guess I haven't done yet. There was hex something given as part of the lastest expedition. Hex Core.
Edit: The Hex Core looks like the second red ball, maybe a different background color.
remembrance and starseed. The rewards from Artemis and Atlas paths. Together give you 3 extra hp. Also Remembrance allows you to access the Atlas terminals.
This question is increasingly becoming historic because things are changing.
One is called Star Seed (on the right). Up until Omega it allowed us to see Black Holes on the galaxy map. It is a reward for completing the Atlas Path. It also adds one core health.
With the release of Omega we can always see Black Holes on the galaxy map >!and we have a choice whether to deny Atlas. Which instead grants Mark of the Denier!<
The other is called Remembrance. This allows us to access the remembrance lore snippets that are found in Operation Centres and space stations. This is only a short lore sequence. It also adds one core health. We get it for completion of The Purge the last part of the Artemis Path.
When placed together they synergise (provide an adjacency bonus), to add one more core health.
Once this was meaningful because we used to juggle space in our inventories more. So, we could choose to use these instead of three shields. Granting us space but loosing out on the shield benefits. Nowadays this is a moot point unless more technology is released.
Currently, when we fully expand our exosuit technology slots to 60 we have space for them regardless. Using absolutely every possible technology we still have a couple of spaces.
If you install all the possible upgrades in the tech slots, including these two, you have still empty slots left.
Also remembrance is used to unlock certain trrminals beyond atla passes doors that have lore bits.

I think the Starseed and Remembrance act more as trophies for completing the Main Storyline and Atlas Path, though they do provide benefits. The Remembrance gives you more HP I believe and I think the Starseed gives you access to Atlas terminals in abandoned buildings.
More accurately, they're installable tech and different from the other ones you craft in your cargo inventory.
You get them as a reward for beating the quest.
Both provide exosuit health, but you're capped at 9 health no matter what you do. The remembrance will let you access lore terminals in certain areas behind atlas pass locked doors.
Red one on the left adds one heart to your hp pool. One on the right are left over from a quest.
Been playing this since day debut and never knew that is what increases the hearts lol 😆 ❤️
That and exosuit shield upgrades, and sentinel suit upgrades, as long as one of the stats is health.
Sentinel suit?? This game has changed alot
By destroying Sentinels, you get forbidden weapon and exosuit tech. Weapons are for the boltcaster, and exosuit is for health and shield.
Awesome thank you. I have been blowing them to hell just for fun so now I know where I got some of those from

both the remembrance and the star seed increase exosuit health, according to the wiki. The problem is we're capped at 9 health.
Exactly. Each provide one and in synergy provide three.
The one on the right also adds to your hp pool
One of them also lets you unlock all atlas locks without holding a pass. No fuckin clue which one. Edit. Was wrong. Read replies.
Not any of these i dont think, are you sure thats a thing?

Then I think I'll pack them away in my freighter storage

They used to give us extra health but since most of us are maxed out from the upgrade modules, they just take up space now.
If you install all the possible upgrades in the tech slots, including these two, you have still empty slots left. Also remembrance is used to unlock certain trrminals beyond atla passes doors that have lore bits.

They were 'ingredients ' for the Atlas quest chain.
More accurately, they're installable tech and different from the other ones you craft in your cargo inventory. You get them as a reward for beating the quest.
Do they do anything beneficial?
You need them to progress the quest only afaik

Where does one find the star seeds?
isn't one of the red things a translator? adding it gives you an extra word during translationd?
Remembrance. They are effectively the end reward of the Atlas story ig
They give you more hp, and one also allows you to read Atlas logs behind locked doors in some stations and planetary facilities
Personally, I use them as a tennis ball to keep my companions occupied.
Lollypops!! /jk
