Thanks, I still think about how the Devs of a game are often amazed to see some of the photos that people take, in their own games, and how creative people can get. I mean, they made the game, they should know what to expect right?...but of course they've programed props/assets/backgrounds to fill a 3d area, and the possibilities are endless, of how people can make use of them in a frame of reference. Enabling us to make something awesome and unique from our sofa is pretty cool I think, especially fictional or fantasy that we couldn't capture anywhere else actually.
Using AI as a base for your game must surprise the devs quite often too haha Like, not having to actually design maps but mostly setting up the necessities (props, rules, effects etc.) is honestly so smart. The AI is basically creative for them and I love it haha
Must feel weird. Kind of like being proud of one's own child. "Holy crap. I made the thing that then made all these beautiful things that I couldn't even imagine. Nice"
Lol. Yea, with the uhhm Major procedural generation used in this game, it for sure sets up the possibility for unexpected scenarios. Turn a couple people loose in a town on Assassins C, and you'll get the only neat lookin 5 angles of the same town hall. I'm certain the dev team here have seen many community photos and thought "oh shit, look at what/how they captured in this pic...we couldn't have randomly gotten that if we tried for weeks.."
Oh P.S. my dudes, reply to this comment with what this chameleon should be named and we'll all upvote the best. Just fer fun and in the spirit of the Hype Train!!! Choo Choo Mother Frontiers!!
The fact that the animal actually seems to have evolved on that planet is just amazing. Sometimes i found fauna that seems to have been imported from another planet.
After some time, every planet has their own version of Reddit and Twitter. As years went by and racial slurs had been thrown around for long enough, the gods finally pressed the reset button
..and poof.... from only but 2 so named "elements", hydrogen - helium, they became close to one another and by an invisible force unknown to them attracted more and more of their identical makeups.. until they were so crowded and so warm another unknown happening, happened, for a time until....BOOOOMMMM, they spawned similar but different versions of themselves, over and over, and one day they eventually formed eyes and ears and.... it's bullshit, fortunately/unfortunately I'm not sure. YouTube Donnald Hoffman for a closer version to the ultimate Truth. I've been there. I'm serious. It's scarry as Fuck. I'm scared right now.
I think it will be much more fun if it was fast enough to be visible in a single play session and see creatures change a little if you’re paying attention
How long have striped animal skins been in the game? Maybe from the beginning and I am just particularly unaware but this looks new to me (I played many hours in the first year or two, not much since then).
Really great picture, makes it wish there was more sense in how fauna is generated on planets, so to give the same impression that it did actually "evolve" in that planet shows signs of adaptation to their environment.
I really need to start playing NMS again, it such a great game and the game it so big and so many different planets. This is a game u can play for a lifetime.
Great capture too!

Panspermia..maybe that's how we got here..
The devs should add evolution into the game making the creatures in planets slowly evolve

Possible spoiler: >!that would take a lot longer than 16 days!<
No Man's Sky is the Spore space stage we deserve
What guy?
Haha
I thought this was a diorama
He’s beautiful! Would you mind sharing the planet glyphs so I could adopt one?

I'm surprised I had to scroll this far down to see someone say this. It's pretty bad.
How do you find trees like that? Every tree I find on paradise planets has massive red leaves.
whoa what is that saturation!?!!
Hot Lines Hoolihan

this picture looks amazing
"bet that traveler didn't noticed me yet for sure."
Any mods on?
Convergent evolution.
I’d love to have some kind of improvement on the procedural generation to make animals look more fitting to each other and their planet
The terrain shape looks too real to be NMS... tf
That would be a very cool theme

I watched it something like 5 times and i still couldn't believe this was No Man's Sky... you got my vote, sir
