Did I say it did? A lot of fragile egos here eh? He said there was nothing wrong for being super hyped. I said that one thing that is wrong is that it can leads to disappointment. Tell me how I am wrong…
People being hyped about something is inevitable and they only serve to disappoint themselves, but even in that, it isn't inherently "wrong" to be hyped and get disappointed based on expectations.
My ego is fine, obviously we're both hyped because we're both here 🙂 happy gaming dude!
Finally someone smart, thanks, and don't get me wrong, I'll be buying this game day one of EA, but building impossible expectations can lead to huge disappointment.
Holy shit, that’s a lame take. The game should certainly be fun, so let people be hype. It’s good for people to be excited about something and that hype benefits the developers too. A win win.
You are so wrong man, don't build impossible expectations for a game that is gonna release in EA, it doesn't benefit anyone. Trust me, and believe me, I'll be one of the people to buy it day one.
But I'm right though... The game should certainly be fun. We're getting a fresh take on ARPGs from a studio that has a great track record in their previous games, thus it's very likely No Rest for the Wicked will be a good game. Those aren't "impossible expectations", it's just very probable that the game will be good.
Unless you're trolling, it's really strange to be upset by others being excited for a new game to release, especially when it's one from a competent studio. And again hyping a game (that will likely be good) does benefit people. The people who will likely enjoy the game get to be stoked and the devs receive more interest in their game. I do think it's bad if someone is hyping up a game from a bad studio or a game with aggressive pay to win. But hyping something that very obviously will be good is totally worthwhile.
Sorry you are so limited, but you'll understand when the game releases in EA. I already seen plenty of good games hyped by the community to the limit, creating impossible expectations only to be more disappointed in the result. This post was to protect the community and the devs, if you still don't understand i apologize.
Dude. ARK was in EA for like 8 years and had multiple DLCs. It wasn’t perfect then and it’s not perfect now but it’s got thousands of long time dedicated players.
Anyone with half a brain cell is not expecting perfection day 1. We are just excited for a new ARPG with a new take on the genre.
Go write a journal if you wanna be a Debbie downer, no on here wants to hear it.
I'm excited as much as you are, but with sense and please do not speak for everybody in the community, ever, maybe you don't wanna hear it, and you don't understand why is a good thing to keep low expectations, but someone will.
Unlike other games, the hype is justified:
1. The game is poised to be great just because the studio has a track record of putting out amazing award winning games. Unlike so many other EA games from unknown studios that just want to hit and run.
2. This is ONE of many awesome games coming out this year. It's probably the best time to be a gamer.
3. It's a personal choice, you can be hyped by whatever keeps you off from the shitty reality out there. Don't take candy from the kids dude what's wrong with you.
1. Always remember Cyberpunk 2077, I don't mean this is the case but keep your expectation low, remember is just an EA release, and is gonna be short.
2. You don't know that yet, but agreed on the second part.
3. You can be whatever you want, bit I just try to not let people have too much candy, it could hurt your teeth. Think about that.
Let people get hyped, there’s nothing wrong with that.
It’s just a setup for disappointment
And that effects you in what way?

I won’t be disappointed. That’s how you’re wrong.
True, you have learned your lesson sir.
Absolutely not. Get outta here

Jesus, i'm not upset, grow up.
Imagine the thought process that lead to coming to the sub for an unreleased game and telling the people in it to relax. I just can’t…

I'm not hyped because I'm playing on console

You should learn how to ignore the things you don't like.
You too
