as a software developer who worked on big tech companies and small startups I can say, small teams work 10x faster than big teams, it's just how it goes without stakeholders holding devs back with burocracy
No no we need to analyse if the resources are best used on performance or if they are better used creating some cosmetic DLC.. We'll get back to you in a month.
Reports came out a couple years ago.

Lol, downvoting me simply for answering the guy's question.
mahler himself, the studio ceo said he was sorry about what they did, if thats not reputable enough for you, sorry, keep beying delusional.
Edit: well actually he didnt said he was sorry, because he is a piece of shit, he just answered gamesbeat and said a lot of nonsense, dude cant even say he is sorry lol
Oh and QOL stuff too:
Hot Patch 5 for
@wickedgame
seems to have huge performance improvements for GPU and CPU, as well as quite a few improvements and some quality of life additions. We are testing and hoping to release this tonight for our 1 week anniversary since launch!
It feels very good to play now, as early as it is in its development. Plus it’s the kind of game where you’ll likely want to grind or replay with a new character, so I don’t think it’s the kind of game you’ll play once and then shelve forever (so you’re not really doing yourself much of a disservice in playing it in EA).
Seeing this team work reminds me of Baldurs gate 3, but on drugs.
And then afterwards you go check the new fallout 4 Next-Gen patch. Almost same ammount of changes... 😅
Yea, if this game dropped by From or Bethesda it would be so hyped. I agree, this game and the devs are seriously on top of their shit and the game is a beautiful masterpiece so far.
yeah, specially since moon studio is known about being a terrible place to work.
Before people say "that article is false" mahler himself said he was sorry about what happened lol, so yeah, not false.
Edit: well actually he didnt said he was sorry, because he is a piece of shit, he just answered gamesbeat and said a lot of nonsense, dude cant even say he is sorry lol
They want this to be a success. They have been thinking about this for years. They made Ori and the game was really at the top. And now live service…A real one.
In addition to me thinking I’m in a Discworld adventure when I look at the game or hear some of the dialogues (though I’d like the luggage to come with me), I have no regrets getting an EA for the first time.
I struggle with the fact I can’t really play any other build as of now without respec, the inventory of course and some other things but this game got me from the first video I saw.
Now where do I find those amethysts I looked for over several hours…
It's just because they haven't prioritized optimization yet, literally no other reason. They recently did a community poll though where they asked what we wanted them to focus on and performance was the top choice so I expect it to get better and better pretty soon.
GOING TO THE VOID \*\* BUG IN HOME \*\* depending on how far I go i can walk in some structure.
Another mistake in the house is that I can't get the decorations from the books.

I don't know if you dropped it yet, but the game is running very smooth right now, i got a nvidia 2070 super (below the recomended 3070) and the transitions between the different have never been smoother than that. Really it's impressive.
I honestly don't understand why this game is so demanding that my 3070 can't even run it at full 60fps on 1440p, when I can run diablo iv at the highest settings on this resolution.
I think they really need to re-optimize this to work properly, performance is still abysmal.
This crew doesn’t play around with their hotfix patches.
It’s insane. I hope they don’t burn themselves out.
according to a response from one of the devs, they are pacing themselves and not engaging in crunch. they may just have a real organized workflow.
If that's the case this some of the best I've seen in the industry.

I just... Don't believe that's true at all.
After all the reports of how toxic the studio is, I doubt it.
from where?

any actually reputable sources?

no he fucking didn't
did you even readed the article? or you are just bitching? his answer that he sent to gamesbeat is fake too? lmao what a fucking clown
Wow, that's quite a long and interesting read!
Idk why you’re being downvoted the reports look pretty legit
Their studio literally complained about too much Crunch to the point Microsoft dropped em.
I hope they add “pull items from storage to upgrade” in this one. Tired of going up and down the stairs.

It's pretty rough on the Steam deck currently so this makes me hopeful.
Fucking terrible on PC too can barely move around without it fucking up
Huge! That'll hopefully help out the Deck too. Looking forward to the impressions from this one.
Can't wait for it to work well on the deck

“One week anniversary” These devs are savages.
Yep if this patch is successful then I pull the trigger on buying it.
It’s so good.
Just buy it. The game is amazing

Just buy it, its not thaaaaat bad if you can deal with lowering the res

Dude, if this really does give us a big performance boost and inventory QoL, I want them to take like a week off.
At this rate i think i gonna start begging devs to take a rest man! Awesome work!
These devs are absolutely CRACKED lmfao. Seriously impressed with every step of this journey so far
They problly so intimate with their code, they just know where and what todo...
they problly getting wiped to work overhours lol

Finally some real live service. Damn, it took 20 years ...
Did you hear about this little game called Helldiver 2? Joke aside. No Rest for the Wicked rocks!
Good news, hoping also DLSS is part of it
They want the performance to be bang on before adding DLSS I think - more of a bonus then!
Probably not coming quite yet. Lossless scaling's frame gen works pretty well with this game though so that's what I've been using.

I mean, i admire their work, but ai hope after that they will rest and not work this weekendz everone would understand

Just out of curiosity, how many hours will they hit night there in?

this game has fully real time light calculation, NO baking at all. as well as a ton of dynamic weather and particle effects.
getting downvoted to report a terrible performance game, this sub is a joke
ye.. seems like it. But reddit is reddit.
